Quiet rooms. Staff is very friendly. Rooms very clean.

This used to be one of my favorite places to stay in Susanville. It has a beautiful heated pool and hot tub which usually is accompanied by the younger crowd that seems to stay there — there always seems to be a pool party at night. Unfortunately with this partying there is more and more drinking in the parking lot and even around the pool even though it's forbidden. The rooms are spacious and clean and have big screen TVs microwaves and a fridge. The Soaps and shampoos provided in the bathroom smell amazing. The breakfast that they provide in the morning has a wonderful variety and it looks like they've added new options. On the morning I stayed there they had bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, an option of make your own waffle, dry cereals, biscuits and gravy and a Varity of breads. They also had cold foods available and fruit. This is where the good ends. They have replaced the beds with something awful — the new mattresses are so uncomfortable my mother got up to sleep in the lounge chair in the room. My husband and I got no sleep and were tossing and turning all night long. New mattresses are very springy and like children have been jumping on them for years. It was the most uncomfortable stay I've had in a hotel room in A very long time. While this used to be one of my favorite places to stay, I will not stay here anymore. When we brought the issue to the lady at the desk she just Shrugged her shoulders and said that the mattresses were brand new.

I've stayed here many times. Great staff and clean rooms. Some rooms have been remodeled and are very nice. I'll stay here again.

I think the staff need to learn customer service because they were not nice. I stayed at another Red Lion in Seattle and I don't want to stay with the chain in the future. Just realized today that the owner wrote back to me six months ago. The reservation was under my husband's name, Colin Johnson. We came there to do the Bizz Johnson coastal trail marathon. It would have been last October. You now can find out who your staff were when we stayed. Thanks for reaching out, but my feeling about the inn is the same.

We arrived without a reservation at almost 2 am on a holiday weekend. While they didn't have a room for me I really appreciate the time the front desk gentleman took to help me find a place. When everything in town was booked he had suggestions for other towns on my route. Lobby was clean and the building was easy to find.

Love it! The rooms where big, love the bathroom light mirror. Love outside our window was a light creek. Breakfast was awesome. Biscuit &gravy, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, fruit everything. The cost was not too much either. The only thing the front desk people wherent friendly. Coming and going. Maybe not payed well. They didnt seem happy. Over all great place love it. I will be coming back.

Coming from far. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. My room was perfect upstairs with a beautiful view of sunset to sunrise. The beds are so comfortable. Very clean! Thats a big plus from me. Accommodations. Everything one needs but clothes. Now time for continental breakfast. 5star for sure! thank you james for your great hospitality!

Nice place, nice people. Rooms are okay. I would stay again. Would rather have too sheet and comforter rather than just a comforter. It got much too warm.

Great location and very quiet despite being near the highway. Great pizza place right next to it as well as some fast food spots nearby and other restaurants in town.

I would call this a typical 3 star standard isuue with continental breakfast. I am amazed at how many if these hotels could push up their rating with just the addition of great coffee and going the extra mile for breakfast… still ok for one night!

Very clean, comfortable and pretty modern rooms, super calm which is always nice. I will keep coming back to this hotel every single time I am in Susanneville.

Clean and comfortable with plenty of fast food places, a pizza place next door that serves beer. There is a Safeway across the street and a Walmart down the street. This hotel is convenient for me. I’m happy with my choice. Also breakfast is at 9am. That’s a plus! Enjoy.

Good hotel for the price and area. Bed was comfortable which is most important. Toilet did make some funny noises, but nothing to worry about. Hotel was quiet, maybe because we were at the end of the hall. Basic breakfast, but enough choices. Would stay here again if we are in the area.

Very comfortable bed. Very quiet. Convenient location. I travel to suzanville at least once a year and tis location is my first choice.

Not to bad of room was clean TV small microwave way too small needs updated have pizza restaurant in front of it KFC off to the side and Walmart and Safeway across the street.

Great, large room. Very convenient to go to the Pizza Factory. Speedy check in.

Hotel was fine, but when our room key got demagnetized, the person at the front desk didn't even check for an ID or a name.

Clean spacious rooms, fridge, microwave, hot and cold breakfast with waffles and biscuits and gravy. Great coffee. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Very impressed. Rooms are quite large, accommodations are great and the breakfast was satisfying. Price was definitely reasonable!

Pros: Comfortable pillows, large quite rooms, large bathroom with a nice warm shower, gluten free food choices at breakfast (I have celiac), and a nice pool. Cons: The hot tub jets weren't working; the pool guy sprayed down all the the stuff on the deck into the pool and it grossed me out. (Isn't spraying down concrete in California illegal anyway? ) There was a terrible ongoing mold odor coming from the air conditioner in the room; noisy AC; outdated and rundown rooms, bathrooms, and hallways; marks all over the walls, undersized breakfast area for such a large hotel, and tiny garbage cans that makes trash spill out everywhere. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable it hurt spouse's shoulders. I'm surprised how rundown Red Lion hotels have become. I was afraid to walk on the carpet; it was really old and appeared to be soiled. I will never stay in a Red Lion hotel again. Go to the newly remodeled Best Western instead.

Nice clean room, very comfortable beds, nice breakfast bar included. Nice front desk personnel.

My experience was quite different from prior reviews. I was not able to check in until an hour and a half after check in time. I requested additional towels a few times to no avail, and I wasn't able to get a remote that worked, not to mention the staff was unfriendly and seemed to be inexperienced. Had it been one or two of these problems, I would have not minded so much l, but the combination was enough to put a damper on the weekend.

Dislike this Inn with a passion. The picture looked great we got in the room and the entire place is antiquated except for the door key. They do have morning breakfast that was really good for on the go. But this was 298 for 2 nights and not worth 50.

Staff was friendly but had just ran out of rooms when we arrived. Hotel looked very nice and would consider staying here in the future.

Very nice and clean rooms. Friendly staff that fixed my mistake with Expedia so that I didn't have to deal with it. THEN they refunded the rate difference because the day that I really needed the room was at a cheaper rate. Can't say enough about this place.

I've stayed in couple other hotels in susanville but this hotel tops them all from friendly staff great customer service, awsome breakfast, clean rooms I truly give props to the cleaning personel, and also the beds were very comfortable beds… this will definitely be my place to stay… loved larry awsome guy!

This place was great. Love the room the place smells and looks great all the time. They got a customer for life we come out there once a month. So we be back can't wait…

I was a little disappointed with this Red Lion. The microwave in the room was broken. They only let one device per room connect to the Wi-Fi… who does that? I had to pull up on the bathroom door to get it to latch and the door felt so cheap I was worried I was going to break it getting it to latch. It was definitely nicer than other places in town but it just want what I expected from the Red Lion brand name.

Very clean and spacious room. Great front desk help. They were very accommodating with our pet when the last pet room was taken. Complimentary toiletries if needed. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

Super clean. Rooms very spacious. Excellent service. Will recommend, and stay anytime. Beds are super comfortable.

Got to the room which looked clean at first glance, went in the bathroom and found large gross black hairs on the floor and shower. Front desk gave me a different room which also had clearly not even been swept in the bathroom. Pool was filled with floating debris and not pleasant. Half the channels on the TV were too staticy to watch. On the plus side the Wi-Fi worked well and the breakfast was good.

Standard hotel room. We just needed a place to stay on a drive back from Vegas. Staff was nice and room was clean. Had hbo.

What a wonderful motel! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Everything was fabulous except the breakfast — — with cook-your-own waffles, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, toast, muffins, and fresh juice, it was far better than many, yet not the best I've had. I would definitely choose to stay here again. A very enjoyable experience!

Convenient & very clean. Only had to walk across parking lot to eat a meal at the "Pizza Factory! " Worked out well for our little family.

Best hotel in town! I advise calling the hotel directly to make reservations… cut out the greedy middle man! ;) My room was clean and the staff was very friendly. I also enjoyed the breakfast and spa/hot tub.

We stay here every year or so when we come to visit family in the area. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms, easy to adjust temperature. Extensive breakfast, great pool, ample parking, good Wi-Fi, etc. Central location. We will keep returning.

This is a favorite for us, especially when pulling our car trailer as they have dedicated truck & t trailer parking lanes. Several fast foods nearby. Not crazy about their breakfast bar but the rooms are nice and clean, really like that the bathroom has a notch light.

Nice place overall. Generous parking, clean rooms, nothing run down. Nice pool (heated yet), and the continental breakfast was more substantive than most places. Good for family, I'd go back.

Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Quiet and safe. Highly recommend. The night receptionist wasn't extremely polite, otherwise all staff were kind and friendly. Couldn't find elevator to second floor, in case that's an issue for guests ask for ground floor. Highly recommend and very good night's sleep.
