Super rude, no hot water. I will never stay here again so disappointed.

Don’t ever stay here their toilets don’t work. They have yellow dirty carpet. 100 plugs plugged in one outlet. Asked for a refund next day. Me and my friend had to go to Harvey’s just to use the toilet. WORST motel I have ever stayed in my whole life and I mean the WORST Just don’t do it.

It was a place to stay that's about it. The carpet was dirty. Counters we're cracked. Window was broken. Stains on the box springs. Cheap place to stay in for a concert. Owner came off as a little rude but was a decent guy if that makes any sense. Would probably stay again if it was the right price. Definitely would not stay for more than one night.

This is a hidden jewel if you are looking for a safe, clean and friendly place to stay at really low price — free breakfast and friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and cleanliness.

Staff who worked at the desk were super helpful and very friendly. Our hotel room was clean and check in was very easy. Breakfast was good, and was definitely enough considering the low price we paid. Very good location.

I just stayed at this Stateline Economy Inn and Suites for weekend and I must say the staff there is very friendly! staff who checked me in were very nice and knowledgeable about the area. They told me where I could get nice views of the lake and also where I might be able to find snow. They recommended the Gondola and it was a great experience! I will surely come here again next year! The Internet was very good! This is an excellent value for the room and service!

We went to South Lake Tahoe June for our 20th wedding anniversary trip and stayed at Stateline Economy Inn and Suites. The people that work there were absolutely wonderful! Very polite, sweet and professional. We all enjoyed talking with them. We had a comfortable bed, the rooms were clean. Had a great stay. We are already planning our next trip to Tahoe and we will definitely stay at Stateline Economy Inn and Suites.

The hotel was within walking distance to the beach and is in a great location. The outside of the hotel is immaculate. When we go back next year we will stay here again. There are restaurants all over the place. The staff was great.

Stayed for 3 nights, location was ideal, right in the heart of the town. For what it is and the price, it's pretty decent. Very friendly lady at reception. We informed her that we'd be arriving after 1am and she told us to ring the bell outside the office and she'd open up for us. Coffee and cereal available in front office for those that want. It's an old inn and it's age is visible, but clean enough for the price. Bathroom, towels and sheets were clean. Room had a heater, small fridge, microwave, ironing board and iron, shampoo, soaps, lotions. TV had a small sound issue — but we weren't there to watch TV, so big deal. If you're not a picky person and you can overlook a few minor issues here and there, you'll be happy staying here.

I used to stay at this place several times a ski season for years. Management changed. Now run by an odd psychopath. Rooms run down, broken, unsanitary, smoked in, drenched with perfume to cover stench. Discusting. Avoid.

Very rude man at front check in desk. Called to find out if my late arrival would be a problem, and the man on the phone hung up on me three times, only to tell me to stop calling back because he was busy, and then hung up on me again. Incredibly rude man.

Best deal in town, save money and buy a nice dinner, clean and attractive, good people thanks Andrew for convincing us to stay you deserve a raise.

I’m giving this review a 2 solepy because the location is great! Right in the middle of everything! Beds were clean. It was a pretty trashy hotel but the rooms are kept up. Breakfast is in the office which consisted of cereal, apples and stale doughnuts. As we were just sleeping here it served it’s purpose. What really ruined it for us is… We made it back before check out time to find our room had been cleaned already and everything had been thrown away. Souvenirs, a full pizza that was going to be today’s lunch. Sons diapers we had in a bag for on the go. We did take our luggage to the car so we didn’t have a lot to do before checkout and we could enjoy our morning out… since the owner looked in our window and didn’t see luggage (his words) he assumed we had left. As the owner he could’ve checked to see that we hadn’t checked out yet. I asked if he was going to dig thru the trash to get our stuff bc I’m not (me being 7 months pregnant) he did and we got our souvenirs and other items back. I’ve never had this happen so this completely blew my mind. But it’s not ok. If check out is 11 am. At least wait until 11am to go clean out the rooms.

Walking distance to casinos and numerous restaurants a diffintly a plus. No coffee in room. The lobby ready at 8 a negative. I'll shop around more next visit but not a bad price and it's clean.

I give 5 stars for saving $500 in 2 days. There is no pool. It isn't a resort in the Bahamas. But everything is clean and slowly being updated (Yes, it's old). The owner, concierge is very friendly and helpful. Don't book this for half price and then compare it to the double price casino rooms!

I had to leave the motel. They were charging me $250/ nt since I booked a week ago (last minute for an event). It was moldy, dirty, and the bed and towels had Hair on them. There were bugs and a huge mosquito. No air-conditioning and a furnace that was hanging off the wall and was still warm. The lamp shade was so worn and delaminated it looked like it could catch on fire. Every corner of the room has mold and the carpet has huge fluid stains. The shower is so bad that you want to wear shoes. The Health Department needs to check them out. I think they would be fined.

Very nice, clean and safe. A great price and a great place to stay. The owner was helpful and couldn't be nicer. Thank you so much.

The front desk lady Lisa is very nice and friendly. Free breakfast includes an assortment of donuts, 2 types of cereals, apples, milk, coffee, lemonade. May not be the cleanest and newest hotel around but for the price and location (directly across Heavenly Village) that you can't beat. Surrounding is quite. We accidentally left our keys in the key hole and good thing Lisa saw it and knocked at our door to inform us. There was once a swimming pool but it's already filled with gravel. Overall a good place to stay in Tahoe.

Went to a concert and the venue was within walking distance which was really convenient. We only slept there so not too much time was spent at the room. Would stay again.

This place is a dump. Don't be fooled by the images on Priceline or travelocity, it's not what you're going to get. Walking up the stairs I knew I was in trouble. I didn't know if I would make it up to the third floor without falling thru them. Once we opened the door we were hit with a nasty odor. The carpet is old and stained but we let that slide bc it's Tahoe and they get wet bc of snow. Immediately went to check out the bathroom and I didn't trust stepping into the shower. My husband and I both checked the two beds and noticed hair all over the sheets. We wanted to check the mattress for bed bugs and were shocked at what we saw. I don't even know how these people can take people's money. It was the worse mattress I have ever seen. Stained black, holes and just falling apart. We immediately grabbed out stuff and demanded a refund. I have a photo, too bad I can't post it on this site. Don't stay here.

The most disgusting place I have ever seen and could not stand to be in the place much less spend a night there. Was in shock and when I came out of shock I realized I no way could stay in this place "Stateline Economy Inn" in Lake Tahoe! Dirty, Poor manager would not refund my money on my credit card, was very rude to me! Poor professional skills! It was the most horrific experience I have ever had! WOULD NEVER recommend this place because it was filthy! Should be shut down! Do not ever book there if you value a nice, clean, hospitable safe place to spend the night! I'm still reeling about what a horrible place it is!

Cheap as can be and looks like it. Not very clean and everything looks like it's been trashed once or twice in past. There's other cheap hotels on the same block that are a lot nicer. Look elsewhere.

I know it's an economy motel, and I am really not picky at all, but they don't even wash the sheets at this place. I honestly don't think they clean the rooms at all. They just make the bed in between stays. We booked online and we couldn't get a refund after we walked into the room to find dead bugs in the bed (bed bugs? ), blood stains on the sheets, hair on the pillows, and mold in the showers. I was afraid to take my shoes off. I would recommend paying a little extra and going to the days inn or some other place (what we ended up doing). But if you absolutely have no choice, I would bring a sleeping bag and your own pillow.

Best location in south lake for the price. You get what you've paid for, so it may not have the most up-to-date fixtures or amenities. Most of the room renos or fixes are more home repair, but everything works. If there is a problem with the room, the owner is a hard worker and very accomadating to fix the problem. Also it's a family owned business that rewards frequent flyers. There isn't a new attendant everyday and they are looking out for and running off any unsavory types. I feel safe parking my vehicle here. It's walking distance to Heavenly Gondola, movie theaters, lots of restaurants, shopping, grocery store and ski/boarding shops.

I just called to get some rates and the guy on the phone was very rude. I defiantly will not be staying here.

My friends and I stay here on a regular basis when we head up skiing. The location is great — a short walk to the Heavenly Gondola. Reasonably clean, friendly staff and management, and an excellent price to boot. A nice short walk to restaurants, retail stores or the casinos.

Clean room, we were able to check in late with no issue. Great location.

Clean bathroom. Not sure the bed sheets were changed. The breakfast was milk, coffee, very old doughnats and cereals. Not even hot water or tea options. Nothing glamorous or spectacular, not even close, but for the price is fair. No A/C, but probably summers not hot. Prime location is what attracted me. EVERY attraction located in within short walking distance. Not too many parking spots available, not as many as the number of rooms! The thermostat is weird, too hot or too cold even though the temperature set is unchanged. The always on sign FREE COFFEE does not make sense because there is coffee only in the morning for breakfast.

Bed bugs! Dude was nice and refunded us and we luckily found a place next door. But he still said he rented the room the night before, with bed bugs haha. Good location, just check your bed before you sleep.

Great hotel for the price. The guy who checked us in was very nice, we told him that we were up looking at houses in the area and he gave us a newspaper and pointed out some rental properties. Also the hotel is pet friendly :) Overall great experience. Rooms were nice and included a refrigerator, alarm clock, microwave, iron, and ironing board the room was also very spacious.

The room was awful! Mold growing in the tub/shower area and the sink. The place was disgusting.! A box fan for air. Checked right out.

There were exactly two good things about this place. It's proximity to Heavenly village, and price (but next time I'll rather pay little more to stay somewhere else). I can sleep pretty much anywhere and I not mind simple hotels — if they are clean and maintained. This place is neither. Carpets are dirty, bathroom window ledge was. Well, the best word for it is disgusting — I wiped it one day with the white towel, which became black. Ewww! The room layout is weird, especially bathroom — the shower door opens from the wall, so you cannot just open and walk in (difficult to explain, best to see — but I would not recommend that to anyone). Shower door did not close completely, and bathroom has some amateurish fixes. The mini fridge stinks. It was extremely loud during my stay — I don't know if they decided to remodel or shut the place down (I kinda hope for the latter), but it was really uncomfortable. The last straw was when I got back to the hotel on Friday afternoon (my room was paid till Saturday), and I found my room door wide open and the room empty. When I asked the guy at the front desk, he tried to convince me that I was supposed to leave on Friday. When he checked again, he found out he made a mistake — but he didn't even apologize. I understand that mistakes happen, but they didn't even try to call me to check what is going on.

Please DO NOT stay at this place. If you have no other place you can find in Tahoe then I would recommend that you postpone your trip rather than staying at this place. The management is worse. They were drunk in the afternoon when we checked in. They were arrogant and probably were not in senses while talking to their customers. They had created some confusion with the reservation and said that they had only one room available while our reservation was for 2 rooms. Do not fall for the room pictures posted. The rooms were so very unclean with all hairs, towels, smelly carpets. Urggggghhhh. I cannot even describe everything. The windows were also broken. In short a terrible experience. The only good reviews for this place are surely written by the management itself.

I've never stayed at a worse place. There were finger prints everywhere. None of the flat surfaces had been wiped clean. The shower curtain had holes in it, and some of the rings had ripped through, I think about 4 of them and of course they were all at one end of the curtain. The shower had mold, and it felt like you were going to fall right through the shower pan. I was afraid to walk around without shoes on. I will never recommend this place to anyone, ever. We even had to switch rooms because the first room had a toilet that was leaking all over the floor. Gross, gross, GROSS.
