Great accommodations and excellent hospitality! Breakfast each morning is top notch as well!

It's a cute house and the room itself was clean, big, well appointed, and well laid out. Would have been great except for the swarm of flies in the room! We swatted dozens of them but they just kept coming! Didn't bother us while sleeping but their presence significantly detracted from the psychic comfort of the room. Also the outdoor grounds are overgrown and not as well maintained as we would wish. The host was personable but not particularly helpful.

Amazing location, wonderful accommodations, incredible hostess, Astrid. If we ever come back this way, this is where we will stay.

Astrid is a neighbor. I am appalled at her behavior. She knows me and my little poodle Zoey. We have been neighbors for two years. She Gave Zoey and I a tour of the B&B two weeks before my little dog went missing. And Her employee let me know that Astrid tied up my dog in her kitchen after she got out and chased Astrids cat to the B&b. She made her employees keep hush hush when My fiancee and I were going door to door in the neighborhood. She lied when I asked if she had seen my baby. She kept her captive because she interrupted a brunch. And it upset her. Then she took her to the pound. Instead of bringing her home two doors up. She had my phone number. She knows my address. Horrible horrible woman. She insulted my husband and myself. And refused to pay half of the impound fees. She has lied to me and has forced her employees to lie. She admitted to tying up my dog and had the nerve to say “she was so sweet until I tied her up. “. Who does that?

We spent two nights at BG while exploring Gold Country. Astrid is a delightful host. Her breakfasts are absolutely wonderful. She could easily get away with just 9 or 10 grains in her 11 grain pancakes, but, why not go for 11? The street is quiet, coffee by the door is a treat, and the opportunity to talk with other guests at breakfast is a great way to start the day. She suggested we go up to Pinecrest Lake one afternoon, which turned out to be a great experience. It is called a mini Lake Tahoe and the scenery driving up into the mountains to reach it is spectacular. Very nice experience!

My wife and I enjoyed our recent stay at the Bettetta Gardens B&B. We were in the area to visit Yosemite National Park and surrounding areas. The accommodations were very comfortable. Astrid, the Innkeeper, provided us great hospitality and fixed us wonderful breakfasts in a screen porch overlooking their grounds.

We booked the whole house for my son's wedding weekend! It was amazing being together and being able to watch the groom prepare for the event! We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, the small pool and the food! OMG, Astrid is an amazing cook and provides the best breakfasts! Thanks so much and we look forward to a return in the area when it is much cooler and we can enjoy the fall or spring foliage.

Barretta Gardens Inn is a wonderful decorated and well maintained Victorian house with a beautiful garden with lots of places to sit in the sun or 'hide away'. Astrid, who is originally Swedish, is a lovely hostess and made us feel welcome and at home. We had the Cabernet Sauvignon room, which in fact are two rooms and a large bathroom. Although it is a bit difficult to have a shower there, taking a bath (with or without bubbles) is an ultimate way of relaxation. Early in the morning coffee and tea was put at the door. Breakfast at 9 was great: healthy and really nice. We wish we could have stayed longer. The Barretta Gardens Inn is a good location for visiting Yosemite Park or the wine area.

Best B&B in the area. Great rooms and breakfast. Walking distance to downtown and nice casual restaurants and wine bars. Great for business or a romantic getaway.

This is a very beautiful bed and breakfast! The people who run the place are very nice and very humble! I highly recommend staying here during a trip to the Sierra Nevada mountains!

We just enjoyed the most incredible stay in the Merlot room. The room was spacious and so clean. We chose to have our breakfasts in our room and it was such a treat. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The grounds are lovely and it is evident that a lot of hard work has been put into them. We will definitely put this on our list for a return visit.

Ideally located up the hill from historic downtown Sonora (we walked to dinner and back! ) this was the perfect place from which to explore the area. Astrid & Danny were the perfect hosts, pleasant and informative (thanks for the tips) and not intrusive. My boyfriend and I don't usually like to stay in B&B's because we're not very social, especially in the morning, so we were delighted with the option to have breakfast brought to our room. The food was delicious and artfully presented. The room was luxurious, spotless, and had all the amenities we could wish for (especially the shower & tub for two! ) The gardens, filled with fountains, roses, and lots of seating areas, were very inviting. Altogether a wonderful experience, one we recommend highly.
