Dinner was outstanding. Great food, service, and ambiance.

We didn’t have a reservation and couldn’t get a table in the dining room, no problem at all we made a reservation for next week. We ended up sitting in the bar ordering a glass of wine, but I think they need more items on the bar menu, we would’ve ordered more just sitting there…😬

Not describing lodging (will open in Fall 2023) but the restaurant. Exquisite restaurant just opened. Fully booked now but if you’re willing to wait, it is well worth it.

Peaceful and restorative. We would go back tomorrow if we weren’t 2000 miles away.

We stayed in the Lodge for 2 nights last weekend. The beauty of the location is breathtaking — you are on the coast with ocean view, on the trails and for that the Lodge is hard to match… our room was comfortable with large window seat. King size bed — very comfortable, nice updated bathroom. Now the Black Point Bar and Grill — we had 2 meals there: dinner, very good and breakfast pretty bad… during that morning we felt that the chef was missing in the kitchen. Our pancakes were of IHOP quality and regular coffee (pretty weak) was $5 a cup… that’s more then cafe latte in San Francisco! … anyway that’s why I rated only 4 stars. We didn’t let that breakfast spoil our moods and went for a great hike along the coast from the Lodge.

My fiance and I drove up the coast to look at wedding venues. Sea Ranch Lodge was beautiful. While all the folks we met with as we visited different venues were kind, I wanted to take a moment to specifically leave a note of praise for Lynette Corona at Sea Ranch Lodge. Lynette was by far the most professional out of all the venue coordinators we spoke with. You could tell she had a lot of experience in the industry in a way that made her both resourceful and creative. Lynette was also the most proactive and detail oriented out of the bunch in a way that removed my reservations about coordinating my wedding from across the country with the Lodge. Ultimately we ended up going with a venue with a bit later curfew, but I had to leave this note because of how impressed I was with Lynette. This venue is definitely worth checking out for your wedding, especially if you can meet with Lynette.

Great room with the best view ever. Amazing landscapes and architecture. Good food. The perfect place to rest and reconnect with the natural environment. I stayed for 6 days and was eating every day at the restaurant. What means that I was a good customer for the lodge. However, I remain disappointed by the management and the chef’s behavior. I booked a standard room through Expedia, there were 4 standard rooms left when I booked it. The same day I got a call from The Sea Ranch lodge saying there was no standard room available, that the reservation systems was not working correctly. They said that if I wanted to stay the only option was to pay $400 in addition for a premium room. First time I see this kind of bug on every travel website and such a lack of delicateness. I was a bit shocked that no efforts were made as I was not responsible of there reservation system’s problems and they didn’t leave me choice. I said yes but asked the woman at the phone to ask her management to do an effort as I was already a frustrated customer. She was herselft very embarrassed with the situation. Nobody got back to me and no efforts were done at all during my stay. The $400 were not on my final bill but were charged discretely on my bank account the day I left. Last but not least, is it normal in a high end restaurant that a chef refuses when you asked scramble eggs (not in the lunch menu) with a salad? I don’t think so.

Food was great but the best part was the view. Would definitely go again if I was passing through!

Not our favorite place. We have been going there for the past 5 yrs. The food has gone downhill to say the least. The menu has changed over the years, and not great selection.

A standard upscale lodge where Bay Area events are flocked over to. I consider that phony, but I did like the place. It had nice "Marin" rooms and a standard good wine country restaurant. I went there during Advent; great interiors for that. Overall, the experience did not justify the high rate.

Booked a room at this place because of the great architecture, what I didn't know was that the place was managed by a guy named Paul who is quite simply not cut out for hospitality and the entirety of his staff follows his terrible leadership. What a shame that a place with such history has been ruined by a few bad eggs. Sharon the front desk woman has no business being the face of any resort and doesn't care about the guest experience what so ever. Stay away from this place guys, stay away.

We stayed one night at Sea Ranch Lodge. We loved the philosophy behind the development and the style and thought in the design of the buildings which has held up so well many years later. The beautiful picture windows with stunning views, the window seat, and many other small details that make good design and make it special. The upgraded bathroom was to today’s standards which was appreciated. They have a covering note explaining that the sound proofing wasn’t to today’s standards, which was good to be forewarned as they were right about that. The walking trails are fabulous. We ate breakfast in the restaurant, the staff here were very friendly and helpful. The American Coffee was good but unfortunately the food was cold. We did end up having an issue with the way our account was settled. I can say they are terribly let down by what appears to us to be outdated processes. Management did their best to be helpful and sort out the issue, but in the end, it is their processes that need updating to meet the reasonable expectations of their customers in 2018. One big negative was a front desk person who let down the rest of the team. This person was unwelcoming, barely helpful with body language that really set you on edge. A great disappointment for the rest of the team who were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately such an experience clouded our enjoyment of a stay that otherwise was outstanding with a few hiccups.

I usually only visit the gift shop, which is quite a nice little place. Some of the clothing is delightfully choice. I’ve never spent the night in the lodging offered here. I’ve eaten here a few times, and found the food to be a little overpriced, and the menu limited for me because of my food sensitivities, and I was disappointed at the lack of organic, GMO-free food on the menu, so I haven’t returned to the restaurant in quite a while. But it’s a wonderful location if you don’t mind a limited menu, spending a lot of money on a meal, or if you don’t have the food sensitivities that I do. And I definitely recommend the gift shop and the view!

We had a lovely stay, very relaxing. The reasons I am not giving 5 stars: as several reviewers already commented, the restaurant is very expensive AND the food quality is mediocre. I don't mind to pay higher prices for the view, location etc but I would at least expect the food quality to be "good enough", especially when the first other option requires to drive. Everything there was a miss (or ridiculous in some fashion, like uncooked, overcooked, not well balanced, limited choices of wines by the glass etc etc). The waiters were nice and welcoming, but the restaurant's host and hotel's hostess were not particularly welcoming. To summarize: if you stay there on a weeknight, you will likely have the best value and won't mind those details. You may even decide to have your own breakfast in your room, if you are a picky eater. If, like us, you make a last minute reservation on a weekend, you may wish that the staff were a bit more hospitable to match with the nightly fee. I think I would potentially go back because the scenery is breathtaking, but eating poorly makes me sad.

Beautiful, quiet, and the place you can disconnect from the world for just a little bit. Had a wonderful stay and will be back again.

The lodge is showing it's age a little but recent updates have helped make the rooms more comfortable, and yet with such a great location who wants to sit in the room. Walks along the cliffs are truly spectacular. Restaurant was satisfying and service was very good especially cheerful Sylvia who even made some lavender tea for my headache, now that's service you remember.

We had an excellent time. The location was beautiful. The service friendly the accommodations terrific. Will definitely come back. One item of note: the room was full of Rolly Pollies. You might want to get that taken care of for the next occupants. 2h30 from Berkeley. $280 per room. Restaurant was good but not amazing. Breakfast was good with a terrific view.

Great food, not meant for groups bigger than 10 but they accommodated us anyway. Has a great meal, bit pricey (dinners drinks and an appetizer cost between 45-65 bucks per person). Bar was understaffed but the waiters were quick to serve us.

I have over 200 reviews with very few 1 or 5, this is deserved. It has been in decline for the past few years. Eat at your own risk. Better choice is to go north to Gualala for better food and value.

The rooms where clean and nice. The service there was exceptional, they were there for you and had no problem helping you find what you needed. The view from the rooms were just as they advertised. Will bee going back.

Over priced, dated, exceptionaly slow sevice, bathroom is up 4! Flights of stairs, very dirty. My wife and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat, immediately regretted it.

Facilities arw ok but front desk staff never made eye contact.

There was an older lady at the front reception. She was not welcoming or even made eye contact with us. She did not seem to want us there. It really set a bad tone and did not make us feel welcome. Everyone else there including the store clerk and the restaurant was very nice. You really need to get a new receptionist.

Sea Ranch Lodge is imaculate. It is located in upper Northern Califofnia coastal area which is pristine with wonderful views off Highway 1. The food is great and service is very good. If you are going to be in this area, put it on you to do list.

Dog friendly and a short hike to the beach. There is a restaurant with bar on property as well as a spa. Tip: Room 19 has a private backyard and deck with a hot tub.

Very interesting architecture in a beautiful natural coastal setting. The Lodge is a good place for a weekend and romantic getaway.

Stopped in to see what the place had to offer. Long wait in line and an interesting staff. Chose some other accommodations to spend the night at.

Food was pretty expensive, but very tasty. The seafood was great, and so was the Boston cream dessert. Drinks were a tad underwhelming for the price, but overall a great meal.

Very poor customer service. I had bought my fiancé an expensive massage here on vacation and went through a lot of effort with multiple phone calls to ensure she didn't have to pay or see the bill. Not only did they give her the bill, she was forced to pay it because apparently it wasn't prepaid, despite admitting they had all of my card information. Needless to say, that ruined the whole point of the present since she was forced to buy it herself. When I politely asked the spa rep about this after the fact, I received very cold and uncaring customer service. Now after talking to other people who stayed there, we're not the only ones who had terrible customer service…

A beautiful restaurant a fully stocked bar with great food and friendly service. All while you are looking at some of the most stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. They have been making upgrades on the restaurant and the food is awesome.

Outstanding service. The views are great — you can see the Pacific Ocean from any room. Just outside your room are many trails along the coast, along the bluffs, down to the beach, & during the season, you can see wildflowers. We just came back from there & wildflowers were starting to come out & the beaches had several small waterfalls running onto them. It is a great place to relax, unwind & enjoy nature, while having amenities at the great restaurant on the property. The Black Point Grill restaurant on their property will accommodate vegetarians & vegans, & the bartender is good with non-alcoholic drinks. There are 2 Tesla chargers & one other electric car charger. While driving there just now that at late night & early morning there can be fog, & the road can be windy. The rooms are simple, clean, & comfortable — not fancy & are without TVs. There is a small refrigerator in the room.

It was a perfect place to have a break. The view is spectacular we had a corner room so we saw a lovely sunset. The restaurant menu is great and affordable the servers were friendly and the food was delicious. We look forward to our next visit.

Would give them less stars but it's not an option. This place is living in the idea that they're as good as they were ten, even 5, years ago. 40 bucks for a rack of lamb that they first seven me raw and then blackened. They won't even answer the phone to take a reservation or see how the wait is. This place is trash. Avoid it like the plague. Additionally : being a young man I am ALWAYS treated inferior to the elderly obviously rich white clientele. Even though I pay the same price as them and have almost never left a less than 20%tip (the times I have were well deserved). The menu has changed for the worse and the staff, save for one amazing lady named Monica, are obviously stressed and disgruntled. Skip it.

I expected way better. The servers were not trained at all. The owner or manager (old guy) was very rude and has no idea how to run that place. Food was eh… the best thing about that place is the scenery and the people you're with.

I have family at Sea Ranch and was sleeping in their house, but every time before Dr go out we cooked at Sea Ranch Lodge. The Restauraunte is increíiiiible.
