Spectacular impromptu dinner last night at Oveja Negra. I am so impressed at the superior quality of every dish we had. Not because I wasn’t expecting it, because I know the difficulties that restaurants (and many other businesses) have faced due to the current health events in our world. The ability to produce quality under these circumstances is a challenge. And chef Paul met and exceeded the challenge. I am looking forward to returning soon. Bravo.

The wonderful breakfast starts your day in a Spanish style room with furnishings from the 30’s. The Customer Service is excellent. Clean and elegant surroundings.

Sometimes it takes time to find a place for tourists and people who want a good deal with them for working with them in order of a great place and they will be able and have fun with them seem team friendly and have fun with them all but they have to be a little bit better with them in a way that's more of a challenge to be able and more comfortable with them.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service. Adrian at front desk very patient and helped resolve a reservation issue that was my fault, Very gracious and kind. Beds are so comfy I wanted to sleep in longer. Breakfast delicious on patio in morning. Overall a wonderful stay, can’t wait to return.

Great location for a weekend getaway. A very clean and spacious room, nice sized bathroom, super comfy bed and quick room service. Valet parking is a plus, fantastic front desk staff. Elevator from the street up could use an upgrade. We really enjoyed our stay here recently to see a concert at the Mountain Winery. If you have never stayed here, I highly recommend at least once. Very close to everything in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Unconditionally recommended. I’ve stayed here a number of times and the Valencia is always a little better than I remember it. I would especially recommend the rooms that open up onto the courtyard — there are two fountains there, and the babble of the water is extremely relaxing. The hotel itself is seriously nice and the staff are always professional. The hotel is centrally located on the Row, which means it’s walking distance to literally everything. There are two things that could be improved: 1. The elevators from the street level to the lobby: why are they so slow? 2. The gym. The weight set is rusty and the bench wobbles. I realize people don’t go to this hotel for the gym, but if you’re going to provide equipment it should be kept in good shape.

Classy hotel, amazing location. Rooftop bar and pool deck are extremely nice and away from the traffic of santana row, which is very relaxing. No complaints with service, and food was excellent. I highly recommend staying here.

They were very accommodating. We were able to check in at 11AM, which was great since I was part of a wedding and had to prepare in in the bride's room so my boyfriend was able to settle in while I got ready. The room was nice and spacious. I was actually pretty impressed. I didn't ask for any other service so I can't speak much about anything else. The room was clean.

I don't know if they treated my mom and I differently because we booked through a third party site at a discount, but our check in process was horrible. We got there before the room was ready, so they said they would call us when our room was ready. They never did. They said they'd take our bags up to the room. They never did. The woman who checked in before us was treated nicely, informed about amenities like hotel breakfast, pool, and gym access, Wi-Fi access. We were not told anything but our room number. This place is way overpriced for the service you receive. Do not recommend. We stayed on the fourth floor and the room was nice, however. You can opt out of room service for $10 minibar credit per day, which is nice.

I got a massage at the hotel. The spa facility is nice. There is a separate spa for the men and women. In the men's side there is a hot tub, sauna, steam room and cold water bath as well as all the standard spa amenities. The massage itself was good but very pricey.

Great service throughout. Great view from the top. Nice pool area in the center. The bar feels energetic during the evening.

OK, quiet at night, good room facilities, compared to the center of the hotel Marriott, this better value for money, nearby is also more comfortable and convenient.

Santana Row is an amazing location that cannot get any better. The hotel is beautiful and the staff and amenities are very nice. Without a doubt will stay here again.

This hotel must be rated as a 2-star hotel. I booked it for 10 nights. The beds are too old and the mattresses are really bad. When I slept on it I was like a deep hole. The next day I told the about the issue and I was told they had the same complaint. They offered me another room but with the the same issue. Fimally I had to check out the Secound day. Hotel is a place that people in travel just stay in at night to rest and if you cannot have a good rest the whole point is missing. The breakfast was continental one. Both days that I had breakfast there the cheese was old and non of the guest even touched them.

Although this hotel had a prime location, great bell boys, a beautiful interior and great food, I only give them one star because of their horrible front desk service. They charged the wrong card upon check in. The issue had been resolved and I got my money back days later. Then two days after we had left the hotel, I saw another charge on the same card. I called to ask about it and said they don't know what happened and lost our paperwork that showed that the payment was supposed to be switched to another card (which they had already taken the money out of by the way). So not only did they charge me twice because they have an outrageously terrible filing system, but they didn't even tell me they were going to put another charge on the card I SPECIFICALLY told them NOT to charge. Trying to fix the situation took days and I was put on hold for hours at a time. Terrible terrible terrible front desk service.

Beautiful hotel boutique… lots of dining and shopping options around. Awesome place to stay when visiting Silicon Valley. The bar is nice!

I visited V Bar for a friend's birthday and had a blast. Great ambience and good drinks. Only downside is that it's a little pricy, but that's to be expected of a bar in Santana Row.

Me and my friends came in spontaneously Friday night to grab drinks. Super nice place. We hung out outside for a bit but they closed off the outside area later in the evening. Then we hung out inside by the bar. Nice staff and clean place.

Whenever I'm in Silicon Valley this is where I stay. Right in the middle of Santana Row the location is perfect. The hotel overall and the rooms are luxurious, the pool area, enjoyable, and the bar one of the hotspots in Santana Row, so suitably lively. The only complaint is the restaurant. The decor and menu options are not my taste at all, and not as in keeping with the overall hotel vibe as the previous restaurant…

Rooms were pretty, fridge would have been nice though. Brekkie was great, staff was nice. The hotel bar will murder your ability to discern color. Location was nice. I was in town on business, so I don't have much of a opinion on it's location as a tourist spot, but aside from the Winchester house, there isn't much in the immediate area.

I booked a room here for my birthday and they spoiled me! I got upgraded to a suite and they brought strawberries and champagne to my room! The location is also perfect for shopping, restaurants and bars.

The beds are EXTRA SOFT. I woke up due to discomfort and back pain due to the sinkage of the bed. The next day after I informed the concierge, they informed me they could bring some wooden slacks to go under the bed, but then they ran out of wooden slacks from other guests! I cant recommend this place unless you prefer extra soft beds. For the record: Hotel Valencia is a nice, clean hotel. And the hotel manager did discount my hotel fee slightly, so kudos for that!

Nice hotel with an unusual entry l. The hotel staff was nice and room service quick, even during odd hours. The V bar had good service and was fun.

We had an offsite here in the Bella Vista room with access to the roof terrace. It was a beautiful room with delicious food and great service. We would definitely consider coming here again for another meeting.

The event was held in one of there bars. The place was beautifully decorated. The service was top notch. We had a good time. Will come back again next year.

The Hotel Valencia is located centrally in Santana Row. There are a lot of shops and excellent restaurants within walking distance to this hotel. Westfield Valley Fair Mall is across the street of Santana Row as well. This Hotel Has A nice courtyard where food and drinks are served. Happy hour is from 4pm to 7pm at the V Bar.

Great location in the San Jose area. Plenty of space in the room. Convenient spot on Santana Row, right in the middle of heaps of shops and restaurants. In house bar is pretty good too.

V-Bar has a nice atmosphere and modern feel. Drinks are not overly priced ($15). Space is a bit small, however, and it always feels a bit crowded. Music is also pretty loud for such a small space.

Bartender was great, friendly. And the servers were attentive. Drinks and food was on point. The outside was lighted up and great for relaxing.

Very nice hotel, the V Bar is still the same as I remembered it 8-9 years ago. The decor is very Christmas themed and puts you in the Holiday spirit.

Had a fantastic time at a Holiday party in the courtyard at hotel Valencia. The food was fantastic, the service at the party was excellent, top scores across the board there. A couple issues include even though the courtyard was enclosed it was not very well heated. There were pockets of warmth but in general everyone was cold and that led to beautiful people in their finery were all covered up with coats. Parking is painful and very difficult in the area. Finally at the bar after drinks took a while even though it wasn't very busy. It was probably very expensive, so thanks to the company that put it together, but one star off from the issues.

Great place to stay on Santana Row. Book on line to save and use the savings to valet park, otherwise you will have to walk to and from the other parking lots in the area. Bell staff and valet are friendly, desk staff is very professional, room was clean and well maintained. Our room was quiet and everything was set up to keep us comfortable. Mini bar available and you can make special requests for items in advance.

I stayed at Hotel Valencia for a weekend while visiting San Jose. The hotel was very clean and the room was everything that I expected it to be. It's located along a very nice block of resturanuts and shops, and had a very nice breakfast each morning. I would stay again if visiting San Jose.

Went with a date for drinks at the bar. Great service, never had to wait too long. Bartenders paying attention to whose there. Good music and vibe.

I went to the hotel today to attend a church event! The hotel is set up amazingly well. I enjoy the elevator to the entrance as well.

We were late to be on a Sunday night, but we were surprised that the bar was closed at 10:30pm. We had to go without consuming anything to find another place open at that hour. This place is great on a Friday or a Saturday, but it also all ends relatively early.

Great hotel in San Jose. Stayed here as part of a wedding room block. The rooms are very spacious and there are many included amenities. The included Continental breakfast for all guests is actually very tasty. Make sure to try out the croissants.

Nice well maintained hotel, but do NOT book a room on the back side facing the courtyard and restaurant area. Crowds from the bar standing in line under your balcony to get in will keep you up until 2am each night. Very loud! Hotel should advise guests in these rooms to expect to get a 1/2 nights sleep at Best.

Great location, easy access to everywhere. Front desk people are very accommodating and knowledgeable for the area. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pretty up to date. I will definitely return.

The bar at hotel Valencia is a delight. Given that it's open even past 1:00 am makes it a fine late night spot for an after party. The music is good and the environment is quite fun. The staff at Valencia were quite courteous and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The staff could not have been more accommodating! Each request we had from ordering a drink before the bar opened, to requesting a different room, to leaving our car in valet parking after checkout, was always answered with a professional YES. The terrace is tranquil and picturesque. Beautiful room with lovely views. We'd give more than 5 stars if possible.

Stayed overnight for a holiday party. The room was spacious, the courtyard reminded me of Venice and Italy, the bathroom was great! Their complimentary toiletries were luxurious! I smelled like tangerines after!
It's close to Winchester Mystery house and right across from major shopping places!
The terrace on the 7th floor has great views!
And the pool! Wow! Too bad, the weather was bad when we went. Winter and major storms.
The breakfast was complimentary as well and pretty good!
Not only that, but the staff were very wonderful. They greeted us warmly, directed us where to go, and made sure our stay was great.
We will book this place again.

This is just bit of a disappointment since this is the one hotel located on my favorite street in San Jose.
1. A hotel Wi-Fi that I can't connect to 90% of the time (occasionally can use the Santana Row — guest public Wi-Fi, but this is also not reliable)
2. Zero phone or 4G/LTE reception
(This could be carrier dependent I assume? hopefully? ).
3. Construction (with drilling, hammering, metal parts dropping all over the floor constantly) that has shaken up the entire floor at …7am on a Saturday. (? seriously). Called front desk twice, but the construction never stopped.
4. Valet was mistakenly charged for one extra night (however the staff did correct it soon after I called) Things that made me not giving this place a one star review instead:
Both the front desk staff and valet people are actually very nice and polite. They did apologize about all the situations but… these are just not something you would expect from such a high end hotel.

Went to a wedding on the 7th floor so I say much about the rooms or customer service. The wedding area was intimate and the vallet car service was good (though a little slow)

This hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location. Unfortunately management is horrible. They charged my credit card random amounts (without my approval), and when questioned had no explanation. They promised that the charges were reversed and I was still dealing with it a week after I checked out. Never in my life have I dealt with anything like this at a hotel, and I'm an avid traveler. There was absolutely no urgency from management to rectify the situation. Sad, because this really is a beautiful hotel.

Rooms and decor are outstanding. The service was excellent. The overnight bellman/valet when we arrived was particularly great, going out of his way to make sure we were set before leaving us to our room. We will definitely be back.

This is one of the better bars I've been to in the bay. The music was nice and not too much one way, like a casual middle ground. The lighting was all red, which made it bright enough to actually see what was going on without being harsh on the eyes. It's a bit pricy (like everything on Santana Row) but the drinks were good and strong. It's also a nicer bar, so dress a bit nicer if you want to fit in.

What a wonderful place to stay. Everything is so nicely appointed and decorated, and the staff are very accommodating. The location on Santana Row is great, with great options in walking distance all around. I enjoy my stay every time!

The staff was very friendly and stripper friendly. My husband had his bachelor party there last week and they gave him a Corner Room. The bar and the hotel is phenomenal and the restaurant is top notch. Really nice location on Santana Row and lots of fun shops and restaurants.

Had a great stay. Got in late due to flight delays. Valet pointed me to the free parking around the corner instead of the expensive nightly fee. Staff were friendly. Room was great. Comfy bed. Breakfast was really carb heavy. Would have been nice to see some bacon to go with the scrambled eggs. Would stay again.

The hotel is rather beautiful in a great area. Extremely friendly staff that were helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful venue. Attentive service. Full bar. Staff is a little standoffish but that may be because there are so many people watchers that staff is not sure of who is there to patronize. Still a 5 star experience once you are able to engage a bartender who is more into socializing with coworkers. They will give you great service once they know you are ready to order.

Very nice hotel. The entrance through the elevators is not marked very well, but it seems to be a very high end location. The food served at my work party was delicious, and the bar seemed to be pretty popular.

This is a nice hotel, I actually come here just to hang out and work way from office and home. Their Wi-Fi is secured but if you know the secret you can get in. During the day it's pretty chill and you can hang out anywhere.

I had a pretty terrible experience at the hotel. They were undergoing renovations and the fumes in my room were unbearable, but they were so overbooked they couldn't move me. Just seemed like they were not ready for me and they couldn't get anything right. Had someone else's clothes delivered to my room, the mini bar and snacks were cleaned out upon my arrival and the people at the front desk were not helpful at all. They charged me $500 more than the receipt they gave me at check out and have yet to provide an updated bill. I am not looking forward to fighting with them AGAIN about the mini-bar. I could not recommend this place and in fact, I will be cancelling my May reservation with them because it was just that awful.

I have been staying at this hotel for a few years when I am in San Jose for business at "headquarters". I love the level of service and attentiveness, the fact that I can walk to dinner and Pinkberry every night, and the options for shopping if and when I want to. They serve an amazing free breakfast every morning. The rooms are comfy and inviting, the Wi-Fi is FAST, and room service is A+. Now, parking can be a bit of a pain, but once you know to park on the lover level near the stairs every night, you are golden.

My favorite hotel in San Jose! It's right in the middle of Santana Row so you walk out the door and have great restaurants and bars right there. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is shockingly good as well.
