The place is nice, it's also the only place in the park with free Wi-Fi, so it's convenient for most. We came for the dark skies festival and it was absolutely beautiful.

This was a great rest stop in the middle of the park. There were restrooms and public showers available. The lodge itself has mediocre food, only pizza, and I would go to the visitor center which has more food options. The greatest feature was a gas station which saved us a bunch of time since we did not have to drive to some far away location outside of the park to refuel.

3* purely for the location. Can't complain about the location, it's right in the park. Check in times were limited (4-8pm), but this information was not provided, we only found out from reading other reviews, so we called in advance to make arrangements. More information should have been provided either on their website or during booking. There is no access to ice, microwave or hot drinking water after 8pm because everything is locked in a separate area. Considering the limited hours available for food options in the park, the least they should do is provide hot water and microwave in the common area so people have access a long day in the park. Our room was also located on the main floor between the lobby and restaurant, making it extremely noisy in the morning, so be aware. Wifi quality was extremely bad, it made it difficult to do park research. Make sure you do your planning in advance.

This was the closest place to take a shower if you’re staying at Big Meadow or Azalea campground. We’ve tried to take showers a couple of times and we’ve got confusing information about their operating hours. Someone at the register said they’re open until 8, but they actually close the showers at 6. The next day we were there at 5:30 and they said there’s a big line in front and we won’t make it. For peak season the store was super empty, considering they’re 1, 5 hours from a Walmart.

The staff was friendly, and the location is awesome. But, for $250.00 a night. It was hot in the room, there’s no air conditioning, not that anyone comes up here to be in the room. The Wi-Fi only works if you’re in the lobby, (no cell service up there, just informing) I had no towels, which turned out to not matter because the cold mist that came out of the shower head could hardly get you wet. It said to wait 15 minutes to heat up, I did this while searching the room for some towels, there was no staff to contact at this time in the morning, 20 minuites of waiting and mist was still cold.

Really nice people, very hepful. Pizzas are amazingly good! It's also the only gas station within the park, very convinient, Honestly I was not specting one! The store there has more camping gear than the visitor center, in case you missed something.

Husband and I stayed here one night. Loved that we were able to easily get into our room late, staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, and we were thankful for access to Wi-Fi, even if it was slow, as there was no cell service anywhere around. Only things we didn’t enjoy were the uncomfortable bed and that the walls were so thin. We could hear the person in the next room coughing, and we had to whisper and control our laughing.

Rustic and charming. Staff is great and super helpful.

Nice stop for souvenirs, gas, and restrooms. The food looked underwhelming.

I love it! Hosts are always super friendly! It’s clean and quiet and the showers are no more than a minute drive.

Staff was very nice. It was in a cute location in Sequoia national park. It was very log cabin like, and had a homey feel.

I only stopped by a couple times for some supplies and gas, as well as a few minutes of Wi-Fi to keep the outside world posted on my status, but the service was great, gas was only 3.19 for unleaded while it was 3.59 in 3 rivers, so I was happy to give this place my money and skip over 3 rivers all together.

They don't answer the phone in the morning when they are open, they don't post hours of their store and restaurant anywhere online. Tried calling and they never picked up, during morning open hours. There is no website listing times of operation, so good luck if you want to eat here, it's hit or miss when they are open. Hours change with no notice or remorse! Nice area, but needs renovated. Staff were OK, phone message needs to be updated for hours of more than just the lodge. They also need to answer the phone during working hours.

Stopped in today during a fishing trip after telling a friend how wonderful it was on prior trips! Only pizzas on the menu except for the specials which were hamburger/cheeseburgers! 0 bucks each with small drink and bag of chips. Got a slider sized burger with extremely dried out bun overly well cooked small burger patty, O. K. Pickle slice, really small tomato slice. Only swallowable because of copious quantities of mayonnaise. Could not in good conscience recommend this to anybody. You expect higher prices in the mountains but folks usually try for a decent product. As I am a local to these mountains I could recommend several far better alternatives on both ends of the park!

Good place to pick up for supply's for when camping down the road. Has everything you need.

Visited the lodge to use the free Wifi as we were camping in the Lower Stony Creek campground that was a minute down the road. Nice shop for basic essentials. Lodge staff very friendly. Saw a pizza restaurant and public showers available.

It's a nice place. Good little store and nice area. Idk about spending time over night.

A good mid-way option for tasty pizza as you're trekking back and forth between Sequoia and King's Canyon attractions.

Excellent spot which feels remote and far into the wild. Right next to it is the stony Creek which is an amazing spot for bathing and relaxing by yourself. The park also provides fire places although they can't be used due to the fire hazard. Also the service and friendless of the park ranger was really great.

Didnt stay there, but camped not to far. Mini store, dinning area, Wi-Fi access. Very nice employees.

Excellent service. They provided Wi-Fi which is nice because there's no public Wi-Fi at any other Lodge.

We stayed at Stoney Creek Campground and visited Stoney Creek Lodge to purchase some ice and other necessities. Very friendly staff.

It was awesome that they provided internet, food, and refreshments in an area where they were scarce. The rooms seemed especially nice and all of the employees were friendly and welcoming. Overall Stony Creek Lodge was like a small gem of society in the midst of a majestic forest of redwoods.

Stony Creek had a very nice view and great scenery. Our camp was next to the creek so we got the soothing sound of rushing water. The restrooms are kind of nasty though. But besides that, it's a great place to vacation at.

Great place, friendly staff, fires in the fireplace at night, free warm breakfast in the morning. Only about 20-30 minutes from General Sherman and various other hiking trails. Only complaint would be that the cleaning products were strong smelling, but at least you know the rooms are clean.

Rooms were newer and nice and big. Wifi doesn't work, TV had problems. Food was Pizza and wings but breakfast was fine. Only 12 rooms and they were understaffed but maybe that's because it was early in the vacation season.

Cozy and rustic. We were there for opening night of the season and so we had the place mostly to ourselves :) A super romantic stay!

Great location, and friendly staff and clean rooms. However, the rooms and furnishings were run down and in need of update/remodel. The included "hot breakfast" was a huge disappointment even for standard "hotel breakfasts". The Muir Lodge in Kings Canyon Park was actually cheaper and much nicer with better amenities.

The worst eating experience of my life. The waiter behaved like a 13 year old in a strop with his parents. The coffee was cold. We pointed this out and were told to use the microwave. The place was filthy, with spiders webs and dead flies on the window ledge. The only saving grace was a good pizza.

A good starting point to explore the Sequoia National Park. For a lodge, the rooms are spacious. The pizza is recommended, and the shop offers you also have what in addition to gifts and food travel and the camp needs.

We just spent 3 nights there and found the lodge to be rustic and clean. That is the good news. The beds are horrible. If you have a bad back, you'd be better off sleeping on the floor! The hot water in the shower takes 15 minutes to warm up and the night we arrived there was none left for even a warm shower. All power is provided by on site diesel generators, which we heard need work. One evening during our stay they failed and all power was lost for about a half hour. It was kind of like being in a 3rd world country. They told us that they hope to upgrade the generators next season! Their hours are 8:00am to 7:00pm and I must say the DO close on time; however, you're lucky if they open on time. We felt 8:00am was a bit late as we like to get an early start, but the morning we checked out, they were 20 minutes late opening and only opened to allow us to check out after my repeatedly pounding on the door. In my opinion, the staff needs to be a bit more prompt and punctual! If you want to get an early start be sure to check out the night before (before 7:00pm) We did not try the pizza although we heard it was good. We tried to order one the night we arrived and were told it was a 50 minute wait! There were only 2 other customers in the restaurant! Maybe they had to grow the tomatoes! We had a wonderful time at Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP's, but the Stony Creek was the low point of our visit. Next time we'll either stay somewhere else or camp.

Gas is affordable, only $0.20-$0.30 above the central valley's prices! Pizza is amazing, they do a great job. I haven't stayed at the lodge, but as an employee in the park, Stoney Creek is a God-send.
