Everything is great and rooms a very clean.

This happened 11/26/2021. The glass sliding door in the bathroom shattered right in front of me! I did not close the door heavily, so it might be the loose screw on the top metal bar that holds the door. I am just lucky enough that only few pieces of glass hit part of my lower leg. In the first place, that incident would not have happened to me if we were not sent by the assistant manager, Vanessa Gonzales, to a room with just 1 bed when in fact, we booked and paid for a room with 2 queen beds and that was definitely in their system! That fact alone is gross negligence. 2nd, I was told that the incident report I filled up will be escalated to their claims department. I was told that someone will contact me in 3 days. Dec 20, I haven’t received any update. I followed up with the assistant manager, but on January 7, 2022, I received an email from her saying that they did not submit the incident report because they were thinking I am no longer interested to proceed. If this incident happened to you, and glass shattered all over your body, what would you do? To date, I haven’t heard back from the hotel. Hence, this review!

Rooms are not very clean, stains on comforter, water splash marks on bathroom containers/holders and very understaff in restaurant.

This is just a great place with such a wonderful staff in a super place to visit. Thank you.

Wondeful place to stay. Quiet place to stay, great food, and a nice “Jumping off point” for adventures in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Nice Marriott. Good bar. They were not going to let me book a room using points even though I am a Platinum Premier member, but they fixed that after some convincing.

Clean and quiet near some basic stuff like Starbucks. Also very large on site bar with relaxing area. Parking lot is on fairly steep incline and very limited handicapped spaces if you need that. Lots of dedicated electric vehicle parking so if you want to charge car this is perfect.

A wonderful surprise. I have not been in Buellton in many years. This Marriott is a first class. The rooms without carpets are clean the decor is well done. Breakfast buffet was OK. A lot of amenities. Pool and large patios with gas fire pits. My room was very quiet and the bed great.

Overall the hotel is very nice. However, there are a few odd quirks. The bathroom door and floors both leave a little to be desired. The door doesn't provide any privacy and the floors are some sort of fake wood covering that is uneven and lumpy. Not what you would expect at this hotel. Other than that, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the gym is spacious and had newer equipment, and the restaurant serves a decent breakfast.

Very pleasant check and the suite they upgraded me to is very nice. The area is a bit boring (hence the four stars) but there is a movie theater next door. The breakfast was very simple but excellent.

Awesome I nice beautiful staff very helpful and so accommodating for my dog and me some of the very best hospitality I have ever been given, food is really good so much better treatment I have gotten here staff are so down to whereas staying places like corker or casino hotel not so Nice especially awesome o traffic have laundry facilities clean and yummy beds and towels great especially for me being on the road this long.

Attended a one day seminar. Grab facility, good parking and layout. Comfy chairs.

Bocce court. Multiple Tesla chargers. Live wine vines planted all over.
Inside : our favorite room is now soundproofed so noise is greatly subdued. The great bed/linen, pillows& Towels are still there.

After this significant upgrade, a 4-4.5 star is deserved
Timely as several there are several upscale hotels now.

Everyone was very kind, considerate and caring. The rooms were exceptionally clean and nice organized. The staff made us feel very welcome, not just because it was their job — but because they enjoyed it. We carried on conversations, laughed and had good times with the staff. We visited there in October 2017 and again in April of 2018. Plan on going back in October.

The staff is exceptional. Friendly, helpful and genuinely nice. Hotel is older, but has been remodeled. Area is in wine country and very pretty.

Loved this Hotel. Love the lobby. Been here 2x now and it was decorated beautiful at Christmas. Its right off the highway and surprisingly I didnt eve notice. I will choose this place again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott during a little weekend trip, and we were not disappointed. The hotel has been remodeled and looks beautiful. The rooms are updated and very clean. The bar area is fun, and there are multiple fire pits on the property where you can sit and enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine. The hotel's location is great too. It's just a few minutes outside of Solvang, and about a 10 minute Uber ride to downtown Santa Ynez restaurants. It's also right next to Firestone Brewery, which is only about a 5 minute walk where you can grab a beer and a bite to eat. For this particular occasion, we were celebrating my 30th birthday, and the staff at the hotel sent up a cute cocktail tray with candy to our room, along with a card wishing me a happy birthday. This definitely went above and beyond my expectations. We'll absolutely stay here again!

Newly furnished rooms. Very attractive lobby. Close to highway (has plusses and minuses to that. ) Pool is cold and non spa like with very tiny Jacuzzi.

I love the new bar after the remodel sometimes I stop by for a few drinks after work and get some little side cocktail things Jeff at the bars always so nice Hey Jeff.

Very friendly and courtesy service. Rooms are big and clean. Love that they have hardwood flooring. They do charge $25 an hour for late check out.

Nice looking, recently remodeled rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Ample parking. Close to restaurants and the freeway. Room floors were dirty. There was urine on the toilet seat. Breakfast was pricey. The laminate flooring is lifting.

Super nice hotel. This was my first time staying at an actual Marriott. I've always stayed at the subsidiaries like Fair Field Inn. Although I have to say I didn't sleep well. I was working the night shift in the area bc of the Santa Barbara mudslides so I slept during the day. The hotel in general was a little noisy and the hardwood flooring in the room amplified the noise. Other than that, the staff was nice.

Quaint and simple place. Well located. Staff was great. Stopped in because of the super charger in the lot.

I visited this establishment to charge my car. There are 10 Tesla Superchargers in the parking lot. The location is easy to access from the 101 freeway. There is a restaurant in the hotel, as well as a few within walking distance. The staff is always pleasant.

Newly renovated property and the additions are fantastic. Convenient location right off the 101 with great amenities for the traveler. Renovated rooms are great and the property has the best restaurant located in the lobby. Warm atmosphere and the staff is friendly and quick to please.

Visited for a Christmas event. Hotel employees were kind and helpful. Decorations were great and event was very well organized. My daughter LOVED the character experience they were providing. Fun for the whole family.

We literally fled there last week when we were evacuated from the Thomas Fire. Nice room, very helpful staff, especially housekeeping!

Nice conference room with adequate parking. Location is easy to find. The interiors have recently been redone and look nice. Conference rooms are scattered with a breakfast restaurant separating them, which can be confusing. Air conditioning is always on high, and these rooms get cold. As usual, a fur coat was no match for the AC. Too cold.

Rooms are very nice but no free Wi-Fi and you have to pay for breakfast. Most hotels give you at least one. Staff was friendly and the hotel is currently being updated. Edit: I came back to edit my review and give it an extra star. The Staff here are wonderful and very helpful. Fonzy and Junior took excellent care of our event and wanted to note that the star rating we're for Marriott's policies and not the staff.

Rooms and lobby seem like they've been updated recently. Very chic and modern feel. It is in a great location just a couple of miles from Solvang. There are even Tesla chargers in the parking lot.

The staff there was 5 star. Very friendly and helpful. We had mentioned we were in Buellton/Solvang area 40 years ago on our honeymoon night and back to celebrate our anniversary. After a day out of enjoying the area there was wine and chocolate in our room. That was a very nice touch. Thank you! Not giving the hotel a 5 star because we didn’t really like the wood floors. They were gritty and the shower floor was also stained with dirt. Hint: A little bleach goes a long way. Overall we enjoyed the hotel.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and updated. Nice entryway lounge area. Only thing I did not like about the room was the bathroom door. They replaced a traditional door with a modern sliding glass door that does not adequately cover the whole doorway. Not a deal breaker, but be aware when booking.

Nice hotel, recently renovated. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Room service food was good. My only complaint is I had a late check out time but housekeeping came to the room twice to ask when I was checking out … just feel there should possibly be more communication between front desk and housekeeping on check out status.

Very nice looking place. We just had a cappuccino at the bar (Starbucks beans), so I can't say anything else. Friendly service.

We ate breakfast while our car was charging. Potatos tasted of rancid oil. Had to send back bagels as they were not toasted. Coffee was not very good. Wait staff was friendly and helpful, though. I'm an easy going guy, but this was not good.

I stayed here for 3 nights on vacation. The first night shockingly the alarm went off at 6 am, and I had planned to sleep till 9. I have trouble falling asleep once I wake up and did not get proper rest. I repeatedly checked the device and the second night things were ok without the device going off. I even tried disconnecting the device, and to my dismay I could not. Then, to my utter dismay, the device went off on it's own on the 3rd night and I had to drive back with very poor rest. They just flippantly told me that the alarm system may be resetting itself after power surges, but then why keep such a system. These people are terrible and have no consideration for the well being of their guests.

This hotel was not good at all. The bathroom shower was filthy, water got all over the floor, leaked out from glass shower doors. The bathroom cabinets were dirty with dust too. Hairs on toilet. Cold feeling room, no carpet just dirty cold floors like at Motel 6. The mini frig didn't work, fingerprints on the walls. The tracks on the sliding door were filthy as was the balcony full of dirt, not swept. Front desk personnel didn't upgrade us & we are gold members and wasn't very friendly either.

Atended a social event at this hotel. The staff were all very kind and helpful, the bar had a wide selection and the food was good. Also available was the outdoor patio area with fire pits. The view was beautiful, as was the lounge area and patio. I highly recommend!

Very classy place and super friendly staff, we went to the lounge and ordered their nachos and wings. The best nachos ever.

Any time I called with a problem there was a prompt response. The rooms were amazing and their pool and workout areas were well kept. Room service was a little lacking in options during my stay but what I wanted was available. Great place would stay again.

The Marriott has recently under gone renovations and it's face lift is nice. The conference rooms are well appointed and well attended to by staff. Wi-Fi is available in each room which is great because cell Internet connection can be spotty. A breakfast restaurant is in the conference level that smells of heavenly syrup. The restrooms are clean and nice. I ate lunch at the lobby level restaurant and enjoyed a medium rare burger. Nice staff and clean facilities. Parking is easy. Location is great since it is near many eating options.

Amazing rooms. Very nice workers. The bar is great depending on who is working. We ordered a double on the rocks and the bartender didn't use the shot glass to measure. He then added more ice to make it look fuller. Before he handed me the cup I asked him to measure the liquor from my cup. It was only one shot but I was charged for a double. He then got an attitude. Also there are no microwaves or complimentary breakfast.

The hotel staff are very friendly and kind. The renovated rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and the staff go above and beyond.

My friend and I had a fabulous time at this hotel. The vibe is upbeat and friendly, The room was spacious with a big comfy bed. The remodeled bar area is classy and relaxed. They make a great Moscow Mule and the food was delicious. The make their own dough for their woodfired pizzas (even gluten free)

Easy to get to location, comfortable facilities for seminars. The hotel is in a business district adjacent to a freeway, but Solvang is nearby as are numerous wineries within easy driving distance.

Attended a professional conference here, and have for the past several years. The meeting space is good, and the location is convenient, as it's only about 40 minutes from Santa Barbara. The food prepared by the hotel is acceptable, but mediocre. They seemed to be in the middle of a remodel this year, so perhaps there will be an improvement in services. I haven't stayed in the rooms, or used the pool or other amenities, but based on my experience I'd guess they're acceptably average.

Decent value, central location… Old property, right next to the freeway which made it a bit noisy… However, the hotel is currently undergoing much needed renovations.

Location was next to a freeway and a McDonald's. The room was wierd, it had a sink when you first walked in. Bed was average to my home. When I first walked into the hotel I was overwhelmed by the smell of food. Internet is 10 dollars! For one night the internet was 10 dollars! The hotel is too pricey, I recommend staying at hotel corque instead. Much nicer rooms, better service, and FREE Wi-Fi.

I visit this location often because of the Tesla Supercharger in the parking lot. The Starbucks on overpriced, as is the hotel restaurant downstairs (where the food is barely mediocre). On the plus side, they always have fruit infused water on the lobby, free newspapers, and clean restrooms.

I had a perfectly marvelous time at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott I was attending a meeting there and found the surroundings beautiful along with the food which was very good. Everyone that catered my event were professional and outstanding very polite and I will definitely look forward to coming back to this fine establishment.

The Santa Ynez Valley Marriott is a great place to stay en route between northern and southern parts of California. A lovely location, nice amenities, and a friendly staff make this a comfortable hotel. The breakfast buffet includes made-to-order omelets, crispy bacon, fresh fruit, and more. There is also a 24 hour fitness center and a nice pool.

Thank you does not seem to be enough to express my deepest appreciation to the entire staff at the Santa Ynez Marriott. Our recent Spring Conference was a huge success, much of it due to the care and dedication of this dedicated staff. Bouquets of gratitude to the Sales and Catering managers who worked thoughtfully at reaching the price points that made sense and offered us attractive extras that truly made our selection of your property the smartest choice for our team. The reservations team kept us updated and on track with managing the room assignments, upgrades, name spellings and details. The catering, food and beverage staff were creative, and impeccably detail oriented which made all the meal experiences divine. The rooms and housekeeping were maintained at the highest standards and I especially loved that the staff were always smiling, even singing was heard down the halls. The Front Desk staff were cheerful and looked fresh every day of the week-long conference. The Red Coat Cell Phone App was my very favorite tool. Each time I used it, staff was on point within seconds. Amazing! My hats off to the General Manager and Human Resource leader who have managed to create a "family-like" staff atmosphere who work in concert with each other. Great to witness that these days. You are all to be highly commended.

Awful stay. The heater and phone in my room didn't work, and even after they sent someone to "fix" it I had to freeze all night. And the phone never worked. Then when I checked out they charged the wrong credit card. It took many phone calls to accounting who are never there and the situation is actually still being dealt with. The staff is amazingly inept.

Should have had free Wi-Fi. When we got here there was a charge. When we booked the reviews we read talked about the commentary breakfast. That doesn't exist anymore and who cares about the free racketball courts.

The Pros: good complimentary breakfast, very courteous service, nice amenities. The Cons: I've stayed there twice and nothing has changed, the rooms are run down and dirty. The bathroom was almost unusable because of a filthy bathtub and filthy floor tiles. Overall the room was aged in decor and should cost around $99 — $120 per night, NOT $230. On top of the over priced room, they have the gall to charge you an extra $10 per day for internet service! As if paying $230 per night shouldn't cover the wireless internet expense. What a rip off! In Conclusion: This hotel is definitely NOT worth the price. There are a number of hotels and motels around Buelton that charge half the price for a better room and internet included.

The hotel is located in Buellton, which is the perfect home base for visiting the Danish town of Solvang, the tasting rooms in Los Olivos, or the vineyards on Foxen Canyon Road. The lobby was recently remodeled, there's a pool, racquetball court, and an outdoor fire pit perfect for enjoying the view while drinking a glass of wine. The room was super huge and very comfortable. It could use some updating, but I noticed they have plans to renovate. Our room faced the highway, but I didn't notice any bothersome noise. This hotel does not have a concierge level like most full service Marriott hotels and it's only 4 floors high. I was also surprised considering all the area activities that they don't have a full time concierge. They do have a bar, restaurant, salon, and a Starbucks. The breakfast buffet was the perfect start to our day and on the weekends it's served from 7am — 12pm for those of us that like to sleep late. I can't wait to come back next year and check out the renovations.

We made a three night reservation in Solvang and ended up leaving after the first night and coming to the SYVM. Best decision we made! The only down sides to this hotel was that is was close to the highway but that didn't bother us at all and how hard the water was. I'm used to hotels of this caliber having soft water. The staff was lovely. The amenities were perfect — flat screen, mini fridge, marble counter tops, big bath tub/ shower. The bed was super comfy. We are AAA members so we were able to take advantage of a free breakfast for two each morning (saving us $80).

The Marriot in Santa Ynez is remarkable. The hotel was minutes away from wineries, tasting rooms and great dining. They pampered us. Will definitely make this an annual trip.
