Beautiful home & great rooms, and an even better front porch! It was a perfect place to recover from surgery — a bit more than the Best Western 2 blocks up, but if you want unique and not the same 'ole same 'ole motel experience, try them out. Our host, Yolanda, was very nice!

Wonderful hostess! Convenient and peaceful location, less than a mile from the center of town. Incredible breakfast!

My daughter and I escaped Los Angeles for an impromptu weekend in Santa Barbara. We had a wonderful stay at The Bath Street Inn. It is beautiful, our room was wonderful (especially the jetted bathtub). The food is amazing, everything delicious and generous portions as well. Haley was the manager and she is gracious, welcoming and clearly a fabulous cook. We will definitely be returning.

The best part is Maria’ baking and breakfast. It was so good we’re coming back.

Great 1st time stay in this Victorian style bed and breakfast. House staff was amazing and our room was beautiful. Each room is tastefully designed/decorated with antique furniture — we were in heaven. Food was amazing!

Loved the bathtub in the Partridge room, antique bear claw. Very relaxing to take a great bath. All desserts and breakfast were amazing. Great one night stay!

A lovely B&B with character. It’s a close walk to the main street and is situated in a beautiful residential neighborhood. The breakfast was very tasty and we also had delicious selection of pastries, tea, coffee, wine and cheese in the afternoon. Everything was homemade and fresh. The inn itself is really cute. You’ll feel like you’re living in a little Victorian home. The staff are very friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

It was a different experience for us because we’ve always stayed in hotels. The bed and breakfast is well maintained and the guests are delightful. This morning we were served fresh fruit with homemade granola, fresh OJ, and French toast with bananas foster sauce. Delicious! Enjoy your stay here!

My wife & I started here whilst passing through Santa Barbara & returned for our 2nd wedding anniversary — the owners & staff are very friendly, the partridge room is cozy & clean, the breakfasts are great & afternoon tea is delightful!

Very cozy and beautiful small Bead&Breakfast Hotel with 12 rooms in an old victorian style. Free parking and Wifi. Free good breakfast and also handmade cakes and cookies and red or white wine in the evening. You can eat inside or outside in the garden with lots of trees and flowers. The staff is extraordinarily nice!
Everything was very clean. Our room was at the top and had a balcony with a very nice view. P. S. : The shower in the bath tub is not for very tall people over 6 foot, but it was fine. The bed is fine for two people, but if you are bigger or need more space, maybe ask for a room with a bigger bed.
We would absolutely recommend the hotel and the room.

The Bath Street Inn is primarily atmospheric and with its location. We had a very small room on the first night, but it all worked and the vegetarian breakfast was downright opulent by American standards. Really nice are coffee and cakes in the afternoon or wine and cheese in the evening. You can, but don't have to. On the second night we had a much bigger room and it was all good. One must not fully expect the all-round carefree package of a large hotel chain, but you can receive many other small details almost as a gift.

We've stayed at the Inn periodically for many years (well since 2005) and after our daughter graduated in 2009 we stopped going to Santa Barbara. Well we came back for a visit this past weekend and the Inn was a good as ever. Breakfast was great, the hosts (and help) we friendly and the room was comfortable. The Inn is in a great location for all that SB offers.

Great location. Cute rooms, if a bit small. Breakfast was good, but not memorable. Tasty cheese and wine during the happy hour and very friendly and helpful staff.

Great hospitality, great breakfast, friendly staff everything you want in a bed and breakfast. If you are looking for modern amenities this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for charm then this is a place for you.

You are paying for the service. This not a place to come if you are wanting a modern updated place. Cute, cozy, and warm is how I would discribe this bed and breakfast.

A Favorite Santa Barbara B&B… This is a very quaint B&B and we have come here multiple times. We love it during the weekdays when the town is not so busy. The rooms are well equipped, decorated with Victorian style. We had very stayed in the third floor and love the seating area to relax and chat. The breakfast is spectacular, the homemade granola is worth visiting alone, then the varied breakfast… Pancakes or eggs are gourmet and delicious. Vicki is a fabulous host and chef. The afternoon cheese, wine and Crackers is also nice and her homemade desserts are to die for. The chocolate cake and cookies are delicious! We will continue to come here again and again!

My husband and I decided to try a bed and breakfast for the first time ever. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The manager and staff were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Country Suite. The room had a full size bed, kitchen, living area and bathroom. The place was very clean. Breakfast is served starting at 8 am, and it was very delicious. We had egg frittata, papaya and homemade muffins the first day, and peach french toast and strawberries the second day. Both mornings, we had homemade granola with yogurt and orange juice and coffee. They were so nice and chopped up banana for our one year old. At 4 pm, they put out desserts like cakes and cookies, all homemade. I loved the atmosphere. All the guests were also very sweet. Bath Street Inn is one of my favorite places we have ever stayed.

Very hospitable hostess. The room was clean and comfortable. The only pity was the one night drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles airport.

Great spot. Host was friendly and rooms were comfortable and clean. Walking distance to a bunch of restaurants. Breakfast was gourmet. 3 courses and better than all but the fanciest restaurants. Would have paid $40 for breakfast alone but it's included in cost.

Had a great time. Highly recommend it. Booked a last-minute trip to SB and found the price of this place better than some higher-star/lower customer review hotels. It's simple. You get a nice, very clean room on a quiet street a few blocks from State St. You get free off-street parking. At 4ish, in case you are near your room, they serve cookies/cakes/lemonade/tea. At 6ish, they serve wine and cheese. In the morning, they serve coffee and breakfast. I was only there for one day, and the breakfast that day was very good. (OJ, coffee, bowl of fresh fruit — different from the standard continental breakfast fruits you get, and a nice main dish prepared in their kitchen — all filling and delicious). They do not include meat in their dishes, and you can make gluten-free requests as long as it is in advance. The hospitality is unmatched. You bypass standard check-in procedures and get an incredibly accommodating host.

What a great experience our stay was. One of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. Pleasant and helpful staff and the aroma of fresh made coffee and granola was a great wake up call. Marie (the owner) and Vicky, who insisted on helping us with our suitcases (a real dynamo who made us instantly feel welcomed) was great. Loved the home made granola and fresh strawberry's and cream and the home made cakes were really good. Had wine and cheese in the afternoon which was nice. We stayed in the Partridge Room which had a private footed tub bath and was appointed with period furniture which topped it off. The close proximity to town was great and the area where the Inn was couldn't have been better. Would. Stay there again in a heart beat. Don't miss this gem.

We stayed in the Rose Room, and although nice, it was so small. We had been on a road trip so with two people both with luggage, we were pretty much tripping over each other. I peeked in a couple of other rooms that were open before checkin, and they are larger, so from now on, I know to ask about room size before booking. Other than that, it's a great place! The ladies are just lovely and it's very cozy. And the food — IS AMAZING. We had breakfast both mornings on the patio. Perfect, quaint setting. The food is fresh and made from scratch — just delicious. My other favorite part is the cakes that they have out all afternoon and night. The chocolate cake is just to die for, and they had other delicious treats as well. Dangerous.

My husband and I booked two nights here recently based off the glowing recommendations of friends, and we greatly enjoyed our stay! We packaged it with a one-day wine tour. Our room (Partridge Room) was cozy and clean (we'd recommend it — the room + bathroom were both good sizes) ; breakfast was lovely and well-proportioned — we looked forward to seeing what was new each day; fresh homemade cookies and cake were available throughout the day; they also had an afternoon tea and happy hour that we weren't around for to partake. The innkeepers were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Vicky who welcomed us and gave us advice re restaurants to visit in SB (downtown is very close) — they have a basket full of menus from recommended restaurants.

We absolutely can't say enough good things about this place. All the food is made from scratch. The breakfast alone is a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, quiet, and charmingly decorated. The staff are kind and charging. This will be our new favorite spot.

From 2013: Different room (that had more room), and same great service. Very welcoming staff, give Marti some extra point here, and just accommodating over all. Just really good service, which is much of what you pay for at a B&B. Our room was always well taken care of and clean inside, breakfasts were always good and well portioned. We plan to stay again. From 2008: All in all, well worth the price and very glad we stayed. The location is a short/med walk to the main street of town, depending on your ability. The rooms were great (rose room), but small. But then this type of Victorian style usually are. Roomy just the same, and ours had a two person (we made it so) jac. Tube. There was a good assortment of late afternoon snacks with just a house type wine (good, but don't get excited). Breakfast was very good, and very filling. You can sit inside, or there is a nice patio outside, which we used for a mid day snack with cheese and crackers we bought in town. When we were there, they kept an assortment of menus in the area for you to look at, buy many had gone out of business — when we did walk around town, it seems a number of restaurants had changed recently. Service was friendly and helpful.

Home cooked breakfast and afternoon tea treats baked with love. Wonderful hosts. Can't recommended highly enough.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and though the room was small, it was very romantic. The breakfast was delicious and the location was close to shopping and restaurants.

Marie and Deborah took incredible care of us. They're truly sweet people and very gracious hosts. The accommodations are cozy and inviting. The cleanliness and layout of the entire house is a great. Parking is easy, and there's so much to do in the area. We stayed in the Wedgewood room which is the smaller of the rooms, and even that was fantastic. We were very impressed by how much was offered on a daily basis in the home: breakfast, tea, wine, cheese, incredible desserts like carrot cake and choc. Cake. Someone's a very good chef :).
