Had something weird happen during my stay, so when we first leave and came back, our keys card worked, and then we left for a hour, and then both of them weren't working, we called the front desk to unlock it, and the guy working nicely did it, but our window was also opened… and I know I shut and left every window closed, and then our key cards weren't working too, makes me feel not that safe, does this usually happen, We tried addressing the problem to the man at the front desk, but he just walked away quickly and said it was okay I've emailed, and messaged on Facebook my issue was never addressed.

I am so disappointed Worst hotel experience I have ever had and stayed at. I was double charged for my stay at Pacifica Beach Hotel. I booked the reservation through Expedia on November 12 and paid for the room $420.80 in full. When I checked out on November 29th my credit card was charged again for $376.27 when I checked out I was told by the "manager" Danielle it was all paid for thru Expedia and I would not be charged anything further. So why the additional charge? I called Tuesday 12/2 at 8:30 am after seeing the charge post on my credit card. The woman who answered was so rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful I wish I got her name. She told me that she only saw 1 charge and I was charged correctly after arguing with me she said would pass my info to the general manager (who checked me out) and I would receive a call back. I do not think she passed on anything. Still waiting. I have faxed proof everyday and will do so until I get resolution.

This hotel is GROSS! Looks nice on the outside but looks can be deceiving. The rooms are filthy. Mold, mold & more mold. Mold in bathroom shower, mold in sink, mold in window area. Very dirty walls. I’m surprised they are still open for business. The whole time in the room I felt dirty. Disgusted. Had no choice but to stay unfortunately as we had a couple drinks at the beach before checking in. The pool was supposed to be open but was closed not because of covid but apparently someone vandalized it. There was hair in the jetted tub. Eeeeew! Honestly, I’ve stayed many places and can deal with some things but this… this is unacceptable to a paying guest. It’s not ok and I’d be very sorry to send a guest in these rooms. Paying $300 for what? A nice sunset? That’s what your paying for unless you want to pay for mold & dirt. Don’t do it!

Janine was our front desk person. Super friendly, very efficient. Our room is third floor ocean view with spa tub. SO HAPPY! beach is right across the street! there is a roomy patio to sit out and watch the waves, feel the sea breeze. Spa tub helps with relaxing muscles. The hotel is beautiful in charm and position to the surroundings.

3.75 stars rounded up. The staff was kind. We were blessed to go up to Pacifica at the right time this weekend; as the rain subsided on Saturday, much earlier than expected. Although the place can use some new paint and fixtures in places; the room was clean and had many amenities: Microwave, fridge, desk, desk chair, chair with automan, ironing board with iron, etc. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub quite a bit, no hot water issues. A "continental breakfast, " people is cereal, danishes, coffee, maybe some fruit, and OJ. These were all provided, adding some microwave breakfast sandwiches/biscuits, (egg bacon/sausage and cheese). There was yogurt too and other juices. We asked for towels and grabbed them ourselves for the indoor pool.
My only complaints were the bed was like a rock, the fan in the bathroom did not work, and the pool needed to be a bit warmer, ("heated") also needing a cleaning with specks of styrofoam floating in it. The parking lot is a challenge and the ocean view from the 1st story does see the ocean clearly. Yes the highway is between the hotel and the ocean and you can hear the cars, motorcycles and trucks. The second story had to be an even better view. It is not a 5 star hotel, but it is one worth the stay with an excellent location. Surfers rejoice! The attached restaurant, Puerta 27, not so much, 2 stars, won't go back there. Service was excellent, the food is for people with very specific tastes.

Had the best time here after we stayed in a rather questionable area in the city … The front desk lady was so friendly and gave us a discount because we found a cheaper price online… The beds were pretty comfortable, had a blast in the big jetted tubs. The one thing I did think is there should be some chairs and tables on the common viewing deck and did not get more towels when asked either time I had to walk down and ask and one time only got pool towels. The breakfast was ok but for the view and friendly staff totally worth it maybe they should add bagel and cream cheese for those that don't like sugary breakfasts. The beach was so so beautiful the whole time If I lived closer I would go back for sure with my family.

I've never been treated so poorly by hotel staff in my life. The woman at the front desk was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Ask where a good place to park is — get an eye roll. Ask for a rollaway bed (as they say they have on their website) — and she huffs and puffs and says "We don't have those here. Pshhhh. " They have a coffee/ tea hot coco station in the office. I made 2 hot chocolates and left — making sure to wipe any mess I may have made — I walk outside, look back and she removes all the hot chocolate packets. I go back in to make another. I ask her for the packets. She says "You are going to have to wait. " I do. Then, after she calls her friend on the phone and has a conversation she hands me the packets, and tells me to take them to my room and make drinks there from now on. I ask if the rooms are equipped to do that seeing as they have a complete beverage station for guests in the lobby. She rolls her eyes and slams the door on me. The jacuzzi tub had issues, the fireplace didn't work, the bed was dirty, and the bars on the balcony were loose. I didn't call to complain about any of those things, because I knew I would get nowhere fast with the front desk. I would never, ever recommend staying at this hotel based on the staff. It was unbelievable. I will say the woman who worked the next shift was friendly, but at that point, the damage had been done. Why pay a large amount for a room to be treated like garbage by the staff? Makes no sense.
