Amazing stay! From the amenities to the beautiful property and location… the staff is so kind and helpful.

Elegant and cozy. Free continental breakfast, nice front desk staff.

However very bad morning lobby coffee. Housekeeping didn’t even clear the cups from the room. The pastries with the coffee was great. The rooms were tasteful appointed. There are wonderful books in the rooms and lobby with a idyllic outdoor sitting area with fire tables for chilly evenings. Don’t let the bad coffee stop you from staying here or you’ll miss a real treat.

Just picked it due to the proximity to Stanford hospital. Everyone was very gracious. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and there was FREE water and snacks in our rooms. They could teach the big chains a few things. The restaurant had excellent food, a great wine list, and a full bar if needed. Coffee and tea are served in the lobby in the morning along with pastries to get you ready for the day ahead. Well worth the price.

What a gorgeous hotel, from the grounds, to staff, to entrees at Menlo’s. Thank you for the comfort and class, Stanford Park Hotel. We will be back!

Fabulous place. Lobby fireplace is cozy. Outdoor patio is exceptional. They even have a smores kit you can roast the marshmallows at the fire pit. Clean rooms are large, beds are fabulous. The front desk texts you the day before arrival to see to your needs so they can ensure your room has everything you need. everything you want. Great place.

I walked in on Christmas with my two kids after visiting my husband at the fire station and they immediately got all my bags from the car, parked my car, poured me a glass of wine, walked me and the kids to our room, and told us there would be a s’mores kit waiting downstairs for us to roast s’mores out by the fire. The employees and the entire atmosphere are exceptional!

This hotel is a junker and I'm very happy at Motel 6 (to give you an idea of my standards). 1. The sign was completely unlit so there was no way to tell where it was after dark. We drove round and round the block while our GPS said "your destination is on the right". It turns out that the entrance isn't on El Camino Real, It's on Alto lane (an alley parallel to el Camino) between Cambridge and Harvard (I'm not kidding). 2. We arrived at 830PM. The office was closed. The manager had left a key and a note warning us not to park on the street without a parking permit but none was provided. The courtyard accommodates about 8 cars and luckily there was a space for us but really… The lot was full in the morning. Where did the rest of the people go? 3. The room was spacious, there was a kitchenette (bring your own pans), there was a TV, a queen bed and a twin bed, and a (portable) A/C which worked. There were several outlets that worked and several switches that didn't. The whole place looked as if it had been built in the 1930s. The bathroom, kitchen and window grout was all grungy and peeling. Clearly it had been reinforced many times without cleaning out the old grout. You know the look. It's not confidence inspiring. There was no grab bar in the tub/shower. 4. There were 3 locks on the door. The chain lock was broken. The deadbolt was broken. The only working lock was the latch in the doorknob. This is pathetic. 5.

I've stayed here three times before and it just keeps getting better! The customer service is incredible, everyone is so kind and accommodating. The rooms are fantastic, specifically the beds, sheets and pillows. The pillows are better than the ones I have at home, they work for those who like firm and soft pillows. The restaurant, the Menlo Grill, is delicious and the servers and bartenders are helpful and personable. Shoutout to Matt, John, and Jasmin!

Great helpful staff, good food and good drinks. I had the pork chop and it was fantastic. The burger is great here too!

Very impressed with entire hotel. Service, rooms, quality throughout. We stay at high end hotels that are larger usually but SPH is exceptional. Ambience calm refined and Californian but not stuffy. Bravo.

I don't know how I managed to land this gem for the price I did but I'm so glad I did. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and I loved the complimentary water and snacks. The cafe had great food and parking was easy. Thank you for the great stay! We'll definitely be returning… hopefully for the same price we got it for.

Clean rooms, sketchy characters but nice staff made up for that!

Failed to provide an adequate option for our vegan guests, of which the restaurant was notified and we were assured options would be available. The meal started strong but after multiple communication errors, it became clear the restaurant had no food for my extended family at the table. Dessert was sad and as a Mother's Day event, the Roses were the best part of it. I definitely don't recommend going if you have any kind of dietary restriction for them to botch. If none of that gets under your skin, the food was acceptable for the high price.

I was staying for a couple of nights during a business trip. The room was very specious and clean although a little bit old-fashioned. The service was perfect and very professional. Sydney Chung was our main contact at the hotel and helped organizing with room booking, cocktails, special requests from our guests. Many thanks Sydney for your great support.

So I was in the area in the am and wanted a drink at a bar. I called and the woman who answered the phone lied to me and said the bar was open. When I got there I found out it wasn't. What a bummer.

Stayed here twice. Beautiful hotel. Kept nice and clean. Rooms are perfect. Employees are friendly. Great service.

Avoid. No heat, no hot water, not clean, no staff on site. Seek other options.

The hotel is beautiful, I really love the brick exterior. The standard deluxe rooms are very roomy and well appointed. I appreciate the option to choose to be green and the hotel gives a donation to the Ronald McDonald foundation. The free waters and snacks in the rooms are a very nice touch. In general I like the warm look and feel to the hotel.

Very close to Stanford Hospital. Easy to drive back and forth however they have a free shuttle also. Nice complimentary breakfast. PC for guest use with printer. Very helpful staff.

Room was nice but a fan ran all night. Kind of loud. The staff could of been more friendly.

Very friendly staff, clean spacious rooms. Love the added touch of hot cider in the afternoon and cookies in the evening by the lobby. We always make a point to sit outside by the firepits when we stay here. Even on cold nights with drinks from the bar. Perfect way to end the night.

I had a phenomenal, spacious room overlooking the pool. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was one which you never wanted to leave. Had the leek omelette for breakfast — the omelette itself was very cheesy but the potatoes were a little dry and overcooked.

Went to the restaurant. Food was well prepared and served timely. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet so conversation was possible. A very enjoyable experience.

The hotel is beautiful and staff very friendly. My family really enjoyed it as I was a patient at Stanford Medical. When I came back for a follow-up the staff went out of their way to make it relaxing and pleasant for my wife and I.

I love here. Wonderful position! Wonderful service and environment! Especially the sweet bar!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautiful. The lobby and restaurant were a stunning mix of old and new architecture and the service was impeccable. I am so happy we stumbled upon this gem. Stay here and you wont be disappointed.

A great hotel. Clean, great rooms and perfect if you are going for an American Girl store visit. The package that includes the doll bed and the turndown service is amazing. I highly recommend this!

This hotel is pretty good. Rooms are spacious. Hotel has a strange smell when you enter, layout of the hotel is a bit confusing — some rooms are hard to find. Staff is friendly.

Great place for a late night dinner and a drink. Food and service were both good, and not overpriced. Could use more organic options on the menu though.

It is rare/unheard of when you stay at a hotel and they give you complimentary drinks and snacks. Stanford Park Hotel does just that, giving Voss water and kettle chips! The front desk is nothing less than extroadinary. We were in a room that was noisy (next to the outside part of their restaurant) and they not only moved us immediately to a quieter location, but also a complimentary upgraded larger room! They remind me of Amazon customer service… one of a kind. Thanks for making our experience really comfortable and looked after!

What a great property! From the moment we arrived we were treated great by all the staff and the beds felt like you're sleeping on a fluffy cloud. We will definitely be back.

This hotel is awesome, I love the landscaping and the rooms. We ate in the restaurant Menlo Grill and the food was fabulous. After dinner we went out to the courtyard which is beautiful. The trees are lit with clear twinkle lights. There are fire pits surrounded by brick seating with pads and blankets if you get a chill. There are several pits to sit at. You can eat out on the patio and listen to someone play the guitar it was relaxing to just talk and listen to the music. They also served
free tacos out on the courtyard. My husband was having surgery the following day at Stanford and this was the best place to stay to get away from everything. Not to mention we were maybe 2 miles from the hospital. Did I mention the the rooms looked over their courtyard which also includes a secluded pool and additional cozy seating area.

Booked last min to take my 8 yr to Am Girl store. Nice lil upgrade for my daughter's own doll. The hotel is well appointed, great little pool, awesome public outdoor lounging, tasteful and fun music, good food. Great value and service was excellent. Would have easily paid $100 more and been pleased. One of my favorite hotels in the Bay area.

I have stayed at amazing hotels around the world. I am accustomed to the best. I am in love with this hotel! Inside and out it is beautiful and so is the service! Would absolutely stay here again and have already been recommending it! Also the gym has real Spinning Bikes! (which are the best! ) Didn't eat there but had some drinks after coming home late from dinner and bar was perfect! I like that the hotel is well sized, I mean it is not too big. Love it!

The Wi-Fi is almost none. Anything else is good. Oops, by the way, the air conditioner just stopped working. — — 3 weeks later — — Anyway, I loved this place.

I've stayed here a couple times now and have had an overall pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and mostly competent. The bar and grill is good and the bartenders are friendly. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable and some have fireplaces but don't expect modern, this is a vary traditionally styled hotel. The gym is nice though can be busy in the mornings. The location is great, a short walk to downtown Palo Alto, Stanford, or the mall.

I stayed here for one night as I was for business in the area. What a great experience! The lobby was friendly, elegant and comfortable. The staff was very attentive. The room was large with a very comfortable King size bed, clean with great bathroom and amenities. My room was looking to El Camino and I am a very light sleeper but the insulation on the windows was perfect with no noise at all in the room. The only minor complaint is the light from the clock on top of the telephone that distracted me from failing a sleep that my t-shirt fixed :) I will stay again and highly recommend.

At Dinnertime I smell something very nice cooking at the Menlo Grill inside the Hotel. Fresh cut fruit is in a large ice water on the counter for everyone. The guests are happy to be here and I seen them enjoying their time snuggling in the outdoor patio, sipping wine in front of the fire. Beautiful memories for my children have been made and I'm grateful for this hotel. The pool is the kids favorite and mine is the bed and restaurant.

A tad cold in unusual winter. Don't expect service, but it's perfect for one night to crash.

We got what we paid for. Yes true our room needed maitnence and something's could have been better but… The room was way bigger than I had anticipated and it was 3/5 clean but there were no bugs the bedding all smelled very clean. Orange and lemon trees in the parking courtyard were nice. Housekeeper was exceptionally nice as well as manager. I went for surgery at Stanford. All other rooms in area are double the price. So this was perfect for me. Room also had kitchen with dishes so we ate in and saved as well. Would return again.

Loved the live music, the guitarist was incredibly skilled. The drinks were great. Would gladly go back!

A great hotel with great service and rooms. They also have great drinks in their bar, and great food in their restaurant. They also have a nice pool, and electric car chargers.

Location is convenient while parking is easy with lots of available spaces. The room is well maintained and kept clean though the style is slightly dated. Overall nice stay that's slightly overpriced.

Classy ambiance, courteous staff, in classic hotel. I think other reviews call out what makes SPH special. Overall, this really is one of the best business hotels I've stayed at around Palo Alto. But as a frequent business traveller who has cumulatively spent several weeks at this hotel over the past year, I'm going to call out areas of improvement: * Housekeeping is extremely disorganized. During my last stay, I literally asked the front desk *six times* to tell housekeeping stop delivering the daily newspaper that I never read. Even still, they kept delivering it. And even though I opted out of housekeeping, they still came in and mucked with my room one day. * Their courtyard needs to be quieted down by 10:00 PM. This is my big complaint with this hotel — — the need of a business traveller is a good night's sleep. Guests shouldn't have to call the front desk at 10:00-11:00 PM every visit to ask them to send staff to quiet people down — — the hotel should be doing this automatically. It's a mediocre service organization waits until guests are annoyed enough to place a call. * It would also be nice if they had a rewards program, given that they are part of a hotel chain. As someone who stays for long periods of time, it's a bit of a disincentive when their competitors do.

Very clean, beautiful, spacious property. Food is very flavorful and bar lively. Outdoor pool and hot tub are perfect. Icing on the cake are the outdoor fire pits and lounge areas. Perfect location to shoppng, dining, and bars. We will stay here again for sure.

The entrance is pretty smallish, not as grand looking as it was from the exterior. But the Christmas decorations were quite lovely. Bathrooms were very clean and tidy. Bar was a bit lacking, could use a bit of a sprucing up.

Unfortunately, this hotel is located within 50 feet of a busy train track … & therefore very noisy. Trains sound their horn in middle of night when approaching/passing right next to the hotel. Rumbling of midnight trains made my windows rattle. I thought it was an earthquake, but presumably it was just a heavy freight train. Pretty decent hotel, just in the wrong place. I primarily came here for somewhere to sleep, so all the nice décor & frills don't count for much if you're woken up a few times in the night. Oh, and room service arrived after 45 not the stated 25-30 minutes and burger/fries were stone cold. I guess everyone has a busy/bad day, but you can't fix the location of this hotel.

Great service, tasty restaurant and comfortable rooms / beds. Fitness center is better than most hotels. All said, a solid choice when staying in Palo Alto.

This is THE WORST hotel that I have ever stayed in my entire life. There is no employee on site when I checked in. The drapes on the windows are broken. The floor was dirty. In the next morning, I found that the hair dryer was not working and the towels were dirty. I called the hotel phone number from 8 to 9:45 am before I had to leave, but no one answered the phone. When I checked out, the instruction was to drop the key and no one gave me a receipt. Terrible place.

Good enough for a business trip. A bed and Wi-Fi ;-) Not very impressive though, just went there as everything else was booked.

Went here for a work reception. Amazing courtyard. Great food, ambiance, and service. I had a sprained ankle and they brought out a big bag of ice for me. Very accommodating.

Basic accommodation — some maintenance wouldn't go astray. For the price, though, it's fantastic. Very comfortable, clean, and the inclusion of a kitchen in our room was a wonderful thing given the length of our stay. It's an easy walk to Safeway or the Stamford Shopping Center, and both Menlo Park and Palo Alto Caltrain are an easy walk away. While it is right on El Camino Real, we didn't find noise to be an issue. There's some onsite parking, and the operators have provision for additional on-street parking.

This is a fairly standard boutique hotel. Facilities are very pretty, inside and out, but they do have some issues — — I was initially assigned to a room that had broken air-conditioning, and the noise from the CalTrain next door is noticeable but not obtrusive. Service is polite and attentive, and the location is convenient to Stanford, 101, etc.

Great, exclusive hotel in Palo Alto, close to Facebook HQ, and Google/Apple within 20 minutes. Traditional, well appointed rooms with great beds and excellent service. The bistro was ok, but I prefer a buffet in the morning.

Stuffy and almost too formal-looking. You'd love this place if you consider yourself from an earlier era.
