Lovely dog friendly resort with large, quiet rooms over looking a gorgeous golf course on the ocean. They discovered it was my partners birthday and gifted us with a lovely bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses. We are next to the Ritz Carlton, which goes for 1300+ a night and believe our accommodations are just as lovely for a fraction of that price. Fun mini vacation!

Hotel is in a wonderful location near the beautiful coast, however, I think that Covid made it difficult for staff to provide amenities. Pool/jacuzzi had to be reserved in one-hour increments on first come, first serve basis. No dining available in hotel. No lounge or cocktails/wine offered in any setting in the hotel. Dated rooms with brown water in bathrooms. (Must be due to high mineral content. ) Not sure that I will return, however after Covid it may improve.

Learn where to place your guest! We paid for a room just like the guest below us. Receiving a complaint because kids were playing at 7 pm is uncalled for and we are ANGRY! Maybe place your guest with children on the first floor, we watch our children and were allowing them to enjoy their vacation as well! To the KAREN below us (042121) you’re a mean, nasty, selfish person! IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN, DON’T STAY HERE!

Outstanding lodge with great amenities!

Love this place! Always our go to when visiting Half Moon Bay! A little rustic if you like that! Fire place is wonderful to have in the rooms! Close to town!

Great hotel. Donald in the lobby was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. Very comfortable. Breakfast is decent. Will definitely stay here again. Plus they have great discounts.

We stayed in the Lodge 7 nights on our trip to California.
The rooms were very clean and spacious with fresh towels daily. It was very quiet and peaceful so sleeping wasn’t an issue The breakfast room was nice and clean with a nice selection of food for breakfast.

I have stayed here on many different occasions and in different times of the year. It is always so quaint, peaceful, relaxing and they are pet friendly, unlike any other place! I love it here.

We were delighted to see a Christmas tree in our room! So sweet! The room is large, nicely decorated and comfortable. The cookies in the afternoon in the lobby were a treat too. Staff are friendly. Definitely a great place to stay in Half Moon Bay. The main town is about 5 minutes away.

Great little place. Comfy rooms. Beds were fine. Pillows were fresh. About 4 miles south of town, so if you need anything, pick up in Half Moon Bay. Nice and quiet. Standard Continental breakfast fare, breakfast area kept up well and clean, with attentive personnel keeping it stocked. Warm pool, and nice hot tub.

In all fairness, I did not stay here myself. I was really only here for maybe less than a hour to eat a catered dinner hosted by my work. From what I did see it was very cozy, and there was a very inviting firepit in the outside area.

Rooms were nice. We had a courtyard view. Pool and hot tub were nice. They should not allow children in this area alone. The pool is 7 feet deep and no parents in site. Breakfast was nice plenty to choose from. Shower drained slow, our fault we forgot to mention this to management.

Excellent place to stay. Staff is very friendly and the heated pool and jacuzzi are an added plus. Although it's not central to Main Street, it is a better location than most of the other places in Half Moon Bay.

Half Moon Bay Lodge is an excellent place to stay if you're in Half Moon Bay. The staff is extremely friendly and rooms are very nice. The heated pool and jacuzzi are an added plus. It is a short distance from town where all the great restaurants are.

I love the view from our room the golf course and not far from the beach trail. And want a nice fancy dinner The Ritz is just mins away. Quite even it's right off the freeway. The room is clean and comfortable bed. Love the balcony and they are pet friendly. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back and bring my dog.

Good, low key Lodge for families visiting Half Moon Bay area. Short drive to many area beaches. Recommend Dunes Beach for those with kids younger than teens. Rooms are comfortable if not a bit dated. Most rooms face golf course, which is nice. Heated pool and hot tub are perfect for kids. Gym is a very small room with stationary bike, treadmill, elliptical, free weights and bench.

Beautiful Spanish style lodge located in the heart of Half Moon Bay. The property is very well maintained and features charming fire places in select rooms. The lodge offers complimentary full service breakfast in the AM, including eggs, coffee, pancakes, muffins and more — yes the full nine yards! Speaking of yards, the property sits adjacent to Half Moon Bay Links golf course and features walking trails that continue beach. It's the perfect location to experience the best of Half Moon Bay. If you're visiting the Half Moon Bay area and want a relaxing stay, Half Moon Bay Lodge is your spot!

Loooooooooooved our stay at the half moon bay lodge! While celebrating our anniversary we recieved a complimentary wine, and had a beautiful and comfortable room. Lovely place, will be our only spot to stay while visiting HMB.

Great location, very quiet and cozy. Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast includes bagels, muffins, waffles, fruit, cold cuts and cereal. All very delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quick getaway from the busy life of downtown San Francisco. A short 30-minute drive takes you to a place that looks more like rural U. S. Than Silicon Valley.

Idyllic located, quiet and with many romantic details. Spa, hot tub, sauna included. Nice staff. Breakfast adequate, with fresh waffles.

Great service, breakfast and rooms. Only issue I had was their were ants in my room. Did not leave any food out but if I did would have had a huge issue. Hope I was a single incident.

The location is located in a great place. The hotel room was clean. The pool/hot tub was clean. The services were really good. The breakfast was good, but the food selections we're limited. The Wi-Fi is not fast, but good for just browsing the internet (not streaming videos).

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was pretty good. We checked in as a family of three and only had bath accommodations for two people both nights. Our room was on the first floor and both nights it sounded like there were elephants upstairs. The upstairs occupants also woke us up very early both mornings. The distance to the beach was nice and the staff we encountered was friendly. A bit pricey, but that seems to be anything along the coast.

This hotel was just meh. The pictures online really did look nice, lovely even, but it was an unfortunate disappointment when we checked in. The rooms are all exterior to the lobby, which is fine in theory, but because the hotel is off a highway, there's a ton of noise. The room had slight smell of must and there was a tear in the sheets. The room was modern enough and the breakfast was actually quite nice. This in addition the nice lobby and staff earns it some kudos, but the room and location hurt this facility.

Looking to book a nice hotel suite for myself in Half Moon to get away and have some relaxation time for my birthday. After looking through the lovely pictures of Half Moon Bay Lodge, I figured it would be the perfect place. I got even more excited when I saw they have "pet friendly rooms" — because I hadn't even considered bringing my dog. Come to find out, the Lodge is "unable to accommodate" my pooch because of her breed. I look forward to never staying at this exclusive hotel.

Very comfortable rooms with fire place in a convenient and quiet location. I loved staying here. The only wish the breakfast room was slightly larger, since this was often crowded, especially during weekends.

Wonderful place to stay just outside of the madness of the big city. Amenities are in need of some love but would definitely revisit if I am back this way again. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Half Moon Bay Lodge was a great weekend get-away. It was in a good location, away from the road. The rooms were clean and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was great as well. Fun things to do around this lodge, including the Coastside path which we rode bikes on.

Nice motel for one night. Big but simple rooms. No air conditioner. The pool and jacuzzi are undergoing renovation and are closed. No information upfront on the website. Small breakfast is included. By far too expensive for the offered service .

The small hotel sign was not visible on the road. Missed it a couple of times. Swimming pool is under renovation and it didn't say when we booked it online. Outdoor patio and fireplace was off-limits. Breakfast room was crowded that I have to take my breakfast to our room. There were also ants in the room. They feast on our pizza. I threw the box on the garbage can outside our room and the ff. Day it was still there. No airconditioning and it feels like you're in a spa, unless you open the patio door to let the cool air in, all you have is heat inside the room. No help from the slow moving ceiling fan either. Oh and there's no microwave in the room like what the claim on their website. On the plus side, comfy beds. Will not stay again.

Overpriced Hotel and Unpleasant Staff. First of all the staff weren’t welcoming to us at all, after getting off an 11 hour flight we would have appreciated at least a smile.
We got into the room and the TV wasn’t working properly and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. So their ‘solution’ was to hit the back of the TV and slam the door with force.
Also when we arrived the pool was down for maintenance which we had no notification of prior to us arriving, and as this was a holiday for us this was an issue.
We dealt with the room for 6 nights due to it being prime location to San Jose and attending a 49ers game.
On the seventh day we said enough was enough when we found ants in the bed, bathroom and coffee/fridge area. Which we gave them the chance to sort out which their reply was ‘we know that there are ants’ and sent someone up with a spray which continued to spray 3 small spaces sparingly, one covering our personal belongings which we had to chuck away.
So we were forced to find a new hotel last minute for our next 7 nights in the San Fransisco area. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and will 100% not be.

Stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff was friendly and helpful, the weather was unseasonably warm which made the lack of AC noticeable. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

Because we were there as guests of someone, we stayed in one of the one-bedroom suites. It was spacious and had all the amenities: fridge, desk, microwave, coffee maker, bar sink, etc. The suite was GREAT with a large living area that has plenty of seating, a nice pull-out bed, and a huge TV. The bedroom was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast we above average, though not great. I am giving it a four because I am not quite sure it was worth the full rate. I have seen some other rates that would make it worth it.

We hung by pool side. Relaxing and peaceful. Loved it! 5

Great staff and clean/big rooms. Just not worth the price. If you golf it might be worth it to be literally next to the course (like right out your patio door). But not for non golfers. Would easily give 4 stars at 2/3 the price, don't even need it to be half.

It's a nice quiet place. Kind of old seemingly g. We were on the first floor and there was a spot where the floor was HOT. It was weird. It also doesn't have air conditioning. Bed was comfy enough and breakfasts wasn't card heavy.

I was there for a conference and the staff was friendly and helpful. The internet was down due to a car accident in Half Moon Bay and they kept us informed until it was backup. The food was very good for a hotel and I've been to a lot of conferences. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a conference or just a weekend getaway. Half Moon Bay is a beautiful place. They sell local beer and wine at the front desk too :)

Great Hotel! Quite, clean and the staff was absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was a little small, but the continental breakfast was nicer then I thought it would be and the atmosphere was delightful. I will definitely go here again.

Just spent a lovely weekend at The Half Moon Bay Lodge. Conveniently located near all the shops and restaurants (yet out of the "fray") and easy beach access minutes away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained, right down to the lush potted containers on all the patios/balconies. VERY relaxing. We will be back.

This lodge is adjacent to the Ritz Carlton on the golf course. It definitely holds its own with a very nice staff. The rooms are very comfortable with views of the golf course and a sit down patio. The breakfast area has a nice firepit for friends to gather round for conversation. I give them an A.
