Review of Country Inn & Suites 3*

Walked in and the "manager" (old brown guy) at the front desk asked for my ID and credit card. I gave the card that I reserved for two nights with on Expedia the previous night. This guy looks at my card and says there is no name on it. I told him its because my bank doesn't give name on visa debits. He made a big fuss about it how its not secure to use it and the bs. I told him then why don't you call my bank to confirm it if you don't believe me. He said its fine he won't. I asked him can I speak with your manager and he told me he IS THE MANAGER! Then as I was standing there I noticed the unbelievable. THIS GUY WAS NOT ONLY WRITING DOWN MY CARD NUMBER BUT THE EXPIRY DATE AND THE SECURE NUMBER AT THE BACK OF IT ON A PIECE OF PAPER! This wasnt a credit card where if there is fraud going on the bank will refund you the money, no this was my DEBIT CARD which is my checking account. So it's even worse! I told him what are you doing? Asked him why he's writing it down without my permission? And he had no a swear. Then he decided to FINALLY call my bank as I advised him earlier and if he did he wouldn't have created a line up of five people behind me. He did and they verified my name. He also made a mistake thinking that my first name is my last name because he didn't even bother to ask me! Then I asked him for his name which was Sam. I asked for his badge to confirm his name and then he opens the drawer and puts on the badge that he is supposed to wear from the beginning! And then I read the bottom of it "front desk" instead of "manager" which was to no surprise. Then immediately after everything was done with him I called their complaint line and reported this moron at the front desk. And if anything fraudulent happens in my bank account I swear I will make a lawsuit against this guy Sam and the company!   To anyone staying at this place I strongly advise you to be careful this Sam (old brown guy) doesn't write down your credit card number or even worse your debit card number along with the expiry date and security code at the back!
