We searched safe location for our Universal Trip. Booked the family suite at this hotel. Positive: comfy beds, big room, new floors. Negative: Room has random furniture, leftover food in the fridge, garbage cans outside have tiny holes so couldn’t put any food container items in them (pizza box, etc), no dressers to put clothes, smelled like paint, 2 chairs with our small table (room sleeps 6), bath faucet ran all night, kept getting stuck in the bathroom because it’s literally just painted over so many times, we were told this is the only suite and it’s on the bottom floor, above us every morning starting at 5:30am kids were running back and forth for hours keeping us up, notified front desk but they did nothing, bathroom is ridiculously outdated, parking is not for large vehicles, definitely NOT worth the price. When we pay for a place to sleep and then can’t sleep that’s a problem.

It’s a good place to stay close to Universal Studios!

Clean rooms, and very attentive staff. I enjoyed my stay with them thoroughly. The hotel is in close proximity to dining and shopping establishments. It is also close to public transportation systems. I would definitely recommend this place to close friends and family members, and I would stay there again myself.

A very nice hotel. It’s older but clean. Pool was perfect for the kids. Nice and close to Universal Studios. Friendly and helpful staff. Very enjoyable ‍♀️

Great location, clean big rooms, and would stay again. However, I think management is mean to charge $10 per day for parking, (it's a motel! ) and also thought they were 'extra mean' to charge another $90 to remain in my room for an extra 4 hours after scheduled check out. The motel wasn't full and I think management lacked 'customer goodwill! '

Great location. Comfy room and beds. Very clean. Friendly staff. Only complaint. Smoke free rooms did smell of stale smoke.

Cons: Extremely noisy, parking paying $10, bathroom too old, soundproofed rooms (you can hear the neighbors copulate). I can not be more clear…
Pro: Good coffee which is rare in the US, friendly and helpful staff. Bed OK.
Really too expensive to spend a sleepless night. ($110 +)

Was my first time at this property. The staff was great and the room had everything I needed,. Including an iron and ironing board. Would definitely stay here again. Close to the sights I wanted to see and places to eat.

Good afternoon, the truth I read many negative reviews of the place. But in terms of my respect. I don't have any complaints. Arrive very early for my trip to los angeles obviously in the hotel. My booking was to enter at 3pm. And gave me the opportunity to save my bags and I went to meet LAX. Come back at 4pm and they were already my bags in my room. Olia rica the room was clean with coffee maker and refrigerator. Or fridge. I don't have any complaint at all. The guy at the reception very friendly and nice. They had coffee water. I don't bring a car so I don't have anything to say about the parking lot. In terms of the location for me is excellent as it is very well located to spend the routes of the bus and take you directly to universal city and there below is the station of all the buses and the metro. This at least 10 min. Super fast. And insurance. And one can move to all parts of los angeles. Book double room large beds and rest very well. Thank you.

Calm, pool, and attendio good.

This is a hotel that I would not stay at again. Only plus was that it had a mini fridge where we could keep our drinks cold. The beds were small and hard, the fitted sheets kept coming off of the bed. The noise level is high. We could hear the traffic and there were tons of sirens. The other patrons were loud arguing about the transaction they were doing. The shower took forever to heat up all the way on hot. And there is a parking fee.

We felt very comfortable. Friendly reception.

I had a great experience. Staff was very professional and rooms are a nice size. I love that you have many good places to eat right across the street even next door. Everything is within walking distance plus 12 — 15 min away from Universal Studios. Great place to stay for the price. Not a 5 star but who needs a 5 star when you just need a place to sleep.

Convenient and probably a good price for the area, pretty close to Universal Studios which was the point and also plenty of shopping (including grocery and Starbucks 2 short blocks away) and restaurants etc. Staff seemed friendly. Room wasn't very nice (dingy, old and run down), sheets wouldn't stay on the bed (no fitted sheet) and blankets very thin. Stained towels. They offer coffee and allegedly hot and cold water in the front office however the water machine doesn't work, and no microwave in room or office so no hot tea or way of warming up leftovers or whatever. Refrigerator froze said leftovers, of which some was salad. They also charged for parking and had a crazy narrow parking lot that only seemed to have one way in and out Not the worst place I stayed in SoCal but worst in LA. But again, not a bad location.

Not a bad room, comfortable bed, good location. Surprisingly good coffee in the lobby with real half and half or nonfat milk for creamer. Minus 2 stars because the carpets are filthy. Just a few steps barefoot gives you black feet. Also housekeeping didn't leave any wash cloths after cleaning the room.

The entire staff has treated us so wonderfully. We feel so thankful for being offered such warm hospitality during this difficult & uncertain time. The hotel will always hold a special place in my heart & I highly recommend it.

Not what I pictured from the ad, there's a charge for parking on the property when they should be paying us for parking there, if you don't drive a sub compact vehicle, be ready for some tight maneuverability in these extremely tight spaces w/ limited parking. The smoking section is right in the middle of the courtyard so, if you're not a smoker, be ready to be engulfed in 2nd hand smoke. Rooms are decent to say the least but for the price, definitely not worth it. I won't be staying here again for sure!

Nice place to stay for a cheap price, in LA standards.

One of the better deals I was able to find in the area. I had low expectations, but am happy to say my experience was good. Room was clean, although a bit outdated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately didn't get to try the pool, but it looked alright I guess. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to book again if I'm ever back in the area.

Stayed there Oct 10-12 and the only real issue about this place is parking. It is not terrible, just VERY tight and cramped, but what do you expect for LA. Clean room, firm bed, and quiet. Good location, easy access to Hollywood Blvd, Universal Studios, and Hollywood Hills. Yes, it does need a update in the rooms, but from what I understand they are in the process right now. I will definitely stay here again.

The location is fine since it's by a lot of restaurants and the like. Parking lot is kind of a pain. The room was fine but everything was for sure old and worn. The TV was a bit hard to use due to their old hardware. The bathroom for sure leave things to be desired. In the end though I really just needed the bed and room to stay in which was more than adequate.

Booked this room 3 months in advance. They tried to add a $10 per day parking fee. I said there was no fee listed when I booked it so they waived the fee. I looked at their website later and it still says free parking. Rooms are in need of upgrade. The fence around the pool was very rusty. Several of the bars are held in place with duct tape and then painted over. The corner where our room was located constantly smelled like marijuana. Mini fridge was the highlight of the room. It would actually freeze a water bottle overnight. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Hotel with the necessary amenities, clean and good looking.

I stayed here for approximately a week in June of 2017. The staff was exceptional. They were experts at their jobs and took care of everything. It was like they knew what I wanted before I even wanted it. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and well maintained. The area itself is great. I will be returning here for sure. I look forward to it. Thanks again!

Great location, nice little pool area. The rooms were decent and appeared clean. The shower takes a long time to heat up, like 10-15 minutes, so just give it time until it's hot. I liked the feel of the place and the staff were very nice. It is near a main road so there is some road noise but overall I enjoyed my stay here.

It is a good service but the keys of the shower did not work, and will strip the water.

Very bad and the reception is very lousy there to change it.

The location is excellent and the service also, you have shopping places nearby the hotel.

Very handsome rooms. I had a corner room and it was pretty ideal. Large and comfortable bed. Couch, coffee table, and chairs for a good sized living room area. Great desk for working.
Oh, the bathroom. Pretty cool and large. Rubber ducky included with great big tub.

Correct rate for location and parking but, no micro wave, no breakfast contrary to what is advertised. Very friendly Home.

Excellent price. Shower is not very good and my room has some small issues but nothing that could ruin your stay. I'd definitely recommend it!

Bed was comfortable and that's where the good parts end. Room smelled, toilet was dirty and the water didn't get warm. Couldn't take a shower.

The worst hotel ever. This is a no pet hotel. We checked at the end of July at 12am. The room that we got smelled like pet urine upon entering. Maybe it was not pet urine maybe it was drunk people urine. It was the most disgusting thing ever. We called the front office and expressed our issue. At first the were not going to do anything which prompt me to start calling other hotels but they had no vacancy. When they finally said they would give me another room it was past 1am and with 2 kids you are left with no other choice but to stay. Upon waking up we found tortilla chips under the bed. It was disgusting to think that we slept over garbage. We called the front dest and told them there was chips under the bed. We really had no other choice but to stay, so what we had to do was stay out as long as we could and only come in to sleep. Upon check out I asked to speak to a manager to no availability. Now I am going back and forth with them and my credit card company for some kind of compensation for the crappy service we got. Management is giving me the run around and refuse to do anything about their crapp service. I advice anyone looking in that area DO NOT STAY HERE. The place is beat down. Parking is horrible. And there are loiters at night. For a hotel that advertises a close stay to Universal Studio it is bull. The pictures here are misleading. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures and the customer services is horrible.

Older motel that's been updated. Staff is nice but are not long-term, "guest experience" oriented. Booked a King Suite on first floor. Suite=mini fridge. Wi-Fi nearly impossible to use. They keep the same password, don't set "device priorities" nor do they ask guests to limit the number of devices logged-in. Basically, you'll rarely be able to use a laptop cause every guest (and locals) sync their phones — overloading their router. When asked about not being able to log-in: "… yes sir, too many people using their phones. Try again tomorrow… " Other than that, the property is clean and simple offering a no-frills room. Worth checking out on a non-busy day.

There are restaurants near the area, if you would recommend the hotel, good price and the facilities good.
