Beautiful place to stay with clean rooms, and extras like robes, and logs for the fire! Looking for a great place this is it!

Called the number on their website to book three nights and confirmed the price and the only extra fee was a $10/night parking charge. Got to the hotel and we were charged an additional $300 deposit we weren’t told about. The front desk said we booked through a third party so he’s not responsible for what we were told (even though it was the only number available on the indigo Del Mar website and I had no other option). We were told to park underground, but the only parking left was marked for employees. Found one space next to one set of elevators, and even though I’m handicapped, we drug all our luggage to the other side of the parking garage to the elevator near our room. It was out of order. My husband drug luggage up all the stairs and pulled his back, while I took my bag back to the other side of the garage to the first elevator, but when I got to the right floor, my room did not connect. I went back across the hotel to the elevator and back down and across the garage to the stairs where I had to drag my luggage up all the stairs AND I AM HANDICAPPED AND CANNOT DO STAIRS. Got in the room and the couch is wet and there’s a huge gross chocolate or some kind of brown stain on it. Waiting for manager to call back in the morning and make this right. I am canceling my next two nights here and I will never be back.

Beautifully renovated and charming hotel with ocean views. Clean rooms, wonderful staff and very pet friendly.

I'm officially in love with this boutique style hotel. Every staff member is super friendly and accommodating. We love the oversized rooms, comfy bed and balcony with ocean views. The grounds are gorgeous! We will definitely be back!

Very helpful front desk staff and the Supervisor Barbara was wonderful. The view is incredible and the room has a giant beach painting on the wall which I like. Recommend this place highly, very relaxing.

We spent 10 glorious days at Hotel Indigo, Del Mar. The food was delicious… the views sublime… the shower. The bed. The little prep kitchen perfection… The pool and jacuzzi soothed but the best thing about this Del Mar Indigo is by far Barbara … We will be back but only if she is there! ML and Michael Curtis.

Wonderful boutique style hotel. Great location, not on the beach, but pretty darn close. Beach viewing areas, and a central pool, with restaurant.

Barbara at the front was the best! The bartender was very helpful, the staff was amazing. Hotel room was clean and simple. Great location, quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach.

Great place to stay in the village of Del Mar. Two pools, a Jacuzzi, restaurant and Spa. Great staff all around. We love this place! Even has live music Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Every other Tuesday.

Nothing better than this location for first time getaway. My husband and I enjoyed everything in Hotel Indigo Del Mar. From the general manager who welcomed us with the front desk team, to the restaurant, and housekeeping. They were all very professional and hospitable. Also, the room was clean and spacious with ocean view, Jacuzzi, and fire-pit. We loved the delicious and warm breakfast that was delivered on time, as well as the special treats for the evening. We want to thank the Management and Staff of hotel Indigo — Del Mar because they made our vacation as a new couple. It is unforgettable experience that will make us smile each time we remember it. Hotel Indigo — Del Mar, the real meaning of hospitality and the best place to relax and feel home faraway from home. We love you all and cannot wait to come for another getaway ;)

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were extremely helpful. My room is gorgeous, very clean, with all the necessary amenities. My only complaint is the grounds are somewhat maze like, and it was difficult to find my room.

Customer Service was top notch. The front desk and the dining area personnel were so attentive and very nice. Always had a smile on their faces. The whole place was very clean and my room in particular was lovely.

We spent the week at Hotel Indigo for a conference and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and they were very accepting of our large group. Very friendly staff!

I love this hotel. We always stay here when in Del Mar. Great bar and activities for the guests, and the rooms are very nice.

What a lovely hotel! The decor is beach inviting and the staff are super friendly. The restaurant offers amazing breakfast. The lox and bagel… YUM! Super fresh! Dinner is quite delicious too. The resort like hotel is close to the beach, the Sunset Cliffs, La Jolla and the San Diego Zoo. Outdoor dining allows for spectacular views! My children loved the multiple pools We’ll be back!

Decent hotel, clean and good value. Parking is free. Nothing fancy, but has everything you need for a good night sleep.

I really quaint Hotel sitting on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Delmar is a hidden little gem with a very rustic feel to it. The downtown area is about A5 block walk and has a Cape Cod feel to it.

I LOVE this hotel. After having stayed at similar hotels in the area, this is my go to. EVERYTHING you want, close by. Walking distance from the beach, great food and Starbucks. There are 2 outdoor pools, both heated. I enjoy the beachy theme and love the room interiors… Classy and tasteful. Perfect for couples, families… Or retreats.

Cozy room with a nice view of the ocean. Underground parking available and all the usual amenities. Easy to get to and not far from the San Diego airport. Centrally located and close to the highway. Within walking distance of the ocean beach and several restaurants and shops. Would go again.

We had our wedding block at Hotel Indigo and everyone loved it! They were super easy to work with. Laura was amazing. They handed out all our gift bags at check in and took great care of us for brunch as well. We had about 20 rooms worth of guests and several said they would love to come back and stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are very quaint and comfortable. Plenty of outlets for charging multiple devices if necessary. No complimentary breakfast but there is a restaurant on side and room service. Staff is very friendly and accommodating… especially if you have special requests.

We had a great couple of nights at the Indigo. The room was spacious and clean. I appreciated the laminate woods floors instead of dingy carpets that you find in most hotels. The location was great and only 1 block from the beach.

Totally different experience by which room you stay. Just image an 2-3 story old apartment with pool. If your room faces a parking lot and drive way, yes it is.

Location, the property, the rooms, and the bar and restaurant are all great. The blackened ahi tuna sandwich alone will make me come back. The only reason this visit was not a 5 was due to the building alarms going off at 2 in the morning and then sirens and fire trucks lights. Keeping the windows open is part of the great thing about staying here but when those alarms go off, I'm sure guests or residents were woken up as well.

The rooms had ood decorations (not ugly, but not my style) and were kinda small for the price.

Very nice hotel close to beach. Room was lovely and very inviting; with fridge/microwave. View of ocean from room. Two nice, large pool areas. Outside deck seating is very comfy and cozy. Nice restaurant/bar with live music some nights. Chicken Caesar was good. Good parking onsite. Would stay there again.

Good size, clean rooms. Ample parking. Good food and drink at the in-hotel bar at normal prices for the area. Fridge and microwave in room. Easy access to beach overlook. Very friendly staff!

Nice and clean but without a soul. Breakfast is restaurant style, so if you're not up for seeing a bar tender first thing in the morning — it's not for you. Noting wrong with the place, bit it's not my preferred hotel.

Loved it! Amazing location, room is clean and holiday type, bed sheets so soft that you don't want to get out from bed. Big Swimming pool is just next by. Highly recommend!

Quaint rooms that offer a little more privacy than you normal giant hotel. Only two stories tall. Nice pool and jacuzzi.

Nice small hotel and near The beach. Altough is kind of a basic hotel it have all amenities needed and its well located near The beach in the twon of del mar which is 15 minutes from San diego, so you can do lot of activitieas and end your day in a nice quiet place. The best thing in The hotel is The people that work in it as they are helpful and kind truly. I would recomendend it and also would stay again.

Very nice room. A couple of the wood blinds were broken which made wife worried about people looking in. Service was a excellent from staff.

Doesn't get much better! Loved the hotel. From the front desk crew, the restaurant and bar staff, the housekeepers, the maintenance people, up to and including management, everything was first class. Our stay was delightful.

We stayed recently and found the room to be in clean condition, however, I am used to staying at Marriott Hotels and the decor is nice, but I think they need a professional decorator to spruce up the roms. We had to use the computer in the business area and they were out of order and there was no one on staff to accomodate us. This was frustrating. We had breakfast at the restaurant; that was very good. The location is great for access to downtown and the beach and Seagrove park. Plenty of fun restaurants and of course, the racetrack. If you get a good rate, it's a perfect location.

Stayed 2 nights on points. The rooms were in excellent condition, although the bathrooms were a bit small (no tub, shower only) and some of the dishes (cups) in the room didn't look like they had been changed or cleaned from previous visitor. Seeing is nice, our room had a view of the beach, but it is a decent walk to get to the beach.

View was not as good as expected but rooms are great. Spacious and well appointed. Free parking and good customer service.

Wow! What a little piece of Heaven. We were treated so wonderfully from the front desk staff to the bar staff and everyone in between. The service was outstanding. The environment was quiet and the room was very clean and beautiful. Thank you Indigo Del Mar for sharing your genuineness with us! We aspire to stay again!

-Bad hotel layout (descend stairs, walk around the outside of the hotel, come back in to get to room) -Hasty check in / directions -Desk chair hydraulics not functional; causes it to constantly sink back down -0 privacy — you can hear everything in the room over and you can see into the windows as you pass rooms -Maid service points shower head at door so you can get a nice cold wash once you turn on the shower Bed is comfortable and room is spacious.

I usually stay in Del Mar or Encinitas area when I travel to So. Cal. Today is our second day here. So far, we love it. Its about 100 yards from the Ocean. There are cliffs with paths surrounded by gorgeous flowers, a nice place for a walk/run. Rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Pretty peaceful. I will update later.

I travel for work and stay at a lot of hotels. This little gem is reasonably priced, and its location is right off the ocean. You can walk behind the hotel and catch beautiful sunsets on top of cliffs overlooking the Pacific ocean. The little shopping plaza down the street has a terrace on top of the building that overlooks the ocean and is quite perfect after a day's work. They gave me the suite on the top floor which was spacious and clean. I will return.

LOVE THIS PLACE! I come here often on business travel. At least twice per month. Even though it's for work, it almost feels like a little getaway as well. So beautiful, quiet and calm:) Last stay wasn't the best as far as the room I wanted, but Kathryn more than made up for it this time. THANK YOU Kathryn! They take such good care of me each time I come here. Very friendly staff.

This is my preferred destination every time I visit the San Diego area. Del Mar is a great little town with wonderful dining and shopping walking distance from the hotel. I also love the spa and get my nails done by Michele every time I am in town; she is great! The staff at the hotel is very accommodating and pleasant. The rooms are clean and stylish with lots of room. I spent two weeks on the beds there for one of my stays and was very comfortable.

Really nice place. Liked the location in Del Mar, walking distance to Powerhouse Park, clean rooms, decent restaurant.

Do not stay here. Dirty, used unwrapped food @ breakfast, unclean room. Out of basics during a weekend in breakfast room. Rooms unclean, smells. Under new owner, nasty general manager. Staff tries but no ones knows what each other are doing. Made reservations well in advance. Gave room away before arrival. Everything was wrong. Used to be a nice motel. Not now. Construction in front of ocean view rooms starts before 7am. Access to beach is not close anymore.
