Arrived at 6pm to find out my room was not ready. (Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm) The gentleman that was helping me looked like he was dressed to work at a smoke shop. He handed me the card to my room and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. My husband and I had been out in the sun all day and craved nothing more than a nice shower and to relax. Being told that we had to wait was discouraging, but we complied. About 20 minutes later, we got to the room and the lady was finishing up our room. We waited about 5-8 minutes outside in the hall to stay out of her way. The halls were humid and smelled stuffy — like grandma’s house. This hotel is very much dated and not much like the pictures we saw on their website. Upon entering the room, we found it fairly decent and okay to sleep in for one night. (AFTER checking for cleanliness and bugs) We didn’t bother wasting our time on the continental breakfast in the morning considering the vibe we got from the front desk. I’m leaving 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. (Though it should be) I would not recommend this hotel to any visitors. It was a last minute booking for us and knowing the condition and sevice we received, we would have paid more money elsewhere.

I love Super 8 in Oceanside. It needs some improvements but it's perfect for all my needs. They are one of the only hotels that offers smoking rooms. They also have a nice pool, great hot tub, and friendly staff, and affordable prices. It's centrally located, close to freeways, shopping, restaurants etc. One way they, and all other hotels, could improve business, would be to have a 24-hour pool& spa available to guests. They could use their key-card to get in and out the gate in order to prevent unwanted outsiders from getting in.

Patti did some truly astonishingly bad service tonight. Patti tells the previous group in line that their computer system went down tonight. I gulp, my girlfriend had made an Expedia booking. We get to the counter, and there is a reservation, but the payment can’t be processed. Patti informs my girlfriend that it’s Expedia’s Mastercard that won’t go through, but she (my girlfriend) would have to call Expedia. I tell them that they should call seeing as how this is their problem, but apparently service and money are divorced from Patti’s life experience. So my girlfriend calls Expedia, and they of course call the hotel. But Patti has moved on to other customers. Expedia calls the hotel twice, and they don’t pick up at which point my girlfriend hands her cell phone to our dear sweet overworked and way over her head Patti. Patti communicates with Expeida, and even though it’s clear that her system isn’t processing the payment, she tells us to pound sand, or we can cancel with Expedia and rebook and repay for a room with her. Fearing that this procedure was going to be an ordeal beyond the capacity of our sweet Patti, we retreated to more pleasant pastures. I have little to no doubt that this is a Patti/Super 8/Marty’s Valley Inn screw up, and not Expedia’s. However Expeida understanding service and money provided a refund and an inconvenience credit of $25. Patti gave us no options and little recourse.

Its Not bad, its not the best. Shower is great, toilet won't flush unless you hold down handle. Not the cleanest building out there. But it was the cheapest so I won't complain. Breakfast is cereal, a waffle and a Danish. Nothing huge but it is something.

I stayed there 6-2 through 6-2 … There were coach roaches in every single room they switched me to. We had three different rooms… I paid 117 dollars to sleep with lights on so the bugs wouldn't come crawling out.

Was okay. Average break fast. Good stay. Bathrooms need bit of change. Old stuffs.

It's ok, very quiet and keptup (clean). But it's kinda old so I understand it's not going to be very beautiful! The app for the staff my friends living room said the stuff seem pretty nice.

I'm not sure where these 3 and above star ratings came from, but it's clear we didn't stay at the same hotel. I wanted a calm night away, with a nice bath for my three toddlers and a hot shower (alone) for myself after a month of camping. I booked my room in advance, and arrived around 6pm. There was a great deal of activity around the building, such as loud music and partying in the neighboring facilities. In the first 15 minutes of dragging luggage inside, I used the bathroom to discover the toilet leaked from the base and all over the floor. I called the desk and they informed me someone would address it — I had barely hung up when someone knocked on my door. A young employee (**apparently Manager Amanda, to my understanding) was checking if there was someone in the room I was assigned, and I informed her of my plumbing problem. She noticed the dog I mentioned on my sign in sheet and informed me I was in the wrong room. I was made to move, after unloading, to the other side of the hotel, to one of the most disgusting rooms I've ever been in. When I turned on the tv, the remote didn't change channels, but did pretty much everything else, leaving me and three toddlers watching two people have sex in a bath on Lifetime. I turned it off and informed the front desk of the malfunction. They said they would handle it. An hour later, sitting in a room with no entertainment, I called again, and was told they were really busy up front and they would handle it.

Totally overpriced. Staff seem confused both at check-in and when I checked out. Room was comfortable and clean.

Clearly should have read reviews before booking. Horrible customer service. Manager Amanda cold, unaccomodating and rude. No directions to my room. No directions about parking. Filthy sheets, I was afraid to sleep on them but had no choice. Asked for new sheets, those were dirty too. Apparently they don't use bleach. Room noise awful. Will never ever stay here again.

I stayed a whole week at this location! After having trouble with my reservation, I paid for the room online. Then they use another card and charge me a deposit which was only supposed to be $100 and they charged me $450! 5 days after checking out and have yet to be refunded my money! When I call them to discuss my issues I get put on hole then 10-15 minutes later get hung up on! Coffee maker in my room didn't work, walls had scratched paint in large areas, room smelt like weed the whole time being there, when we would ask for more towels they were always out!

Absolute worst motel with the worst customer service I have ever seen. I am actually appalled by the level of unprofessionalism by each staff member. At check in and check out. The manager is by far the most unprofessional person I have ever came in contact with. And It is not surprising that the ratings for this hotel are so low. What is surprising is how many comments rate the staff friendly and accomodating. I would not describe our experience as anything but appalling.

The noise was atrocious the last 2 nights we were there. The wall in front of us and the wall to the left had some kind of drugs &/or prostitution ring going on I am sure, and at first we called the front desk and could hear the call made to one room advising the caller to "chill" and the noise became even louder. So then, I went to the front desk to complain and one of the hookers peered out from almist behind the front desk to glare at me for complaining. The mgmt did nothing to make up for our inconvenience. The rooms were dirty, especially on the "smoking" side. The carpets filthy. In the bathroom there was mold in the corners of the ceiling of the shower. We had to (personally) plunge the toilet after waiting 2 days and every day thereafter! I had to bleach the shower curtain and wipe down all surfaces to feel even 1/2-way comfortable enough to allow my luggage to be unpacked! I will say that the sheets & towels were clean and there was a coffee maker in the room. The water was hot in the shower and the jacuzzi & pool were lovely as were the laundry facilities but other than that, this whole trip for this hole in the wall they call a motel! Sorry Super8 but — — ⭐⭐⭐ is my rating for this dive!

Location is close to Legoland for the price. Not the best, but you get what you pay for. Breakfast is ok if you love waffles and cereal. Front desk lady needs more help to be able to keep up with breakfast area an attend guest.

It's in a good area — gas station, liquor store and donut shop. Great customer service, ample parking (free too). The place needs a facelift and security; there was a guy hidden by the vending machine. Pretty scary especially when you travel with your lil one.

An amazing experience and a very warm and welcoming feeling. I walked in and immediately was greeted by both Amanda and katia with smiles, great customer service. After a stress full long day it was refreshing to have so one not only put a smile on my face but make me feel at home. I rate both Employees 10/10

The front desk service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The location very convenient.

They where very nice and everything was clean but they are a little rundown for the money I spent had to move to a second room because the first ones heater didn't work Very nice people though.

For what it offers there are better hotels in the same category. And as for the service, to judge. My brother-in-law stayed here and stole even the clothes that he left and although there are cameras no one of the reception we resolved nothing. Beware of this place. In the surroundings there are some other hotels where you have in mind that the hotel service includes that you will have the confidence to leave belongings as basic as what is in your luggage. Go wrong time and lost time.

Sadly main floor of building smelled like sewage overflow. Otherwise pleased with clean room, fridge & microwave included. Would suggest offer for people paying cash, no $100 deposit.

My room was filthy. Dust, dirt, hair and little pieces of trash were all along carpet running the length of the walls and along side the beds and under the table. The top blanket, bed skirt and mattress cover had stains and hair on them. Had a bite on my stomach after my first night, not sure from what but it itched liked crazy. And needless to say the occupants staying in the next room over sounded like they were shooting a porn video all day and all night and all the next day… The walls are SO THIN! BUT, THE STAFF, FRONT DESK AND MAIDS, WERE VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. NO COMPLAINTS THERE ARE ALL! Just my room was so nasty, in my opinion.

Great value. Staff is courteous and accommodating. Unfortunately, less than desirable people tend to frequent here. If you just keep to yourself, you probably won't even notice. Overall this place is clean and comfortable. Sign up for wyndham rewards and collect points for free nights.

I'm probably one of the lowest prices around for a Wyndham Hotel. Front desk can go either way. Either super friendly or super… not so much. Aside from the fact that this place is frequented by a less-than-desirable crowd, it's actually a pretty decent place.

I was a little bit pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The girls at the front desk were awesome and very efficient. They were able to answer my geographic questions and found a good restaurant for me.

Simple Bed 'n Breakfast. No shops or restaurants around it. To transit for one night okay. Wi-Fi good.

All was well until we entered the room. The air conditioner was blowing Hot air. The bedding on both beds were tossed about. The trash can was full and a atop the trash was a used condom. Needless to say we immediately asked for a different room and we received one 3 hours later. The new room was kinda clean at least it did not smell as room number 1 had. So we slept on beds that sagged in the center. The the morning we took advantage of the continental breakfast only to find sour milk. We Shan't be returning. The only good thing was the Clerk Danielle.

For the price — 60 bucks — (and camping by beach on patch of dirt with your own tent cost 60 bucks here) this motel has awesome, great rooms — like one bedroom, huge — separate bedroom and closet / bath with sink and separate shower/ toilet! Bedroom has table and chairs, desk and office chair, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker… unbelievable! TV is flat screen, cable channels! Our room — across the pool, on second floor — upgraded and clean, 2 huge beds with nice bedding, good mattresses! And in closet iron and iron board! And free breakfast in the morning in this hotel! And not only pool but hot tub! Seriously, what can be better?! Best value for the money! Tamarack beach 10 min away, Legoland too… Of course it's not five stars, but unbelievable great value!

Rooms are decent. Light could be better but most of us are here just to sleep and relax right? They have good table room. (depends how long you stay) Anyways it's pretty good. The ocean is maybe a 10 minute drive. Maybe a little more of a drive.

Best of lowest priced motels, smoking rooms available and they accept pets for extra $15 a night, clean rooms that are currently being upgraded. Porsche is currently GM she professional and courteous while cleaning up the property. No coffee makers in most rooms as advertised and no workout room. Housekeeping staff is awesome and waffles in the morning are always a good thing. Wishing they had more and better coffee available 24 hrs.

Reservation through Expedia. Receptionist quite friendly. The room very clean and well taken care of. Location of the hotel is perfect, close to where I was me event.

Dirty rooms, in the ghetto, bums/drug addicts outside, lights shorted out when hair dryer was plugged in, sink almost falling off ofwall, rude staff, overall unpleasant.

My cousin got ate up by bed bugs, The ugly manager there tried to say the guest staying in the room brought them there so he could keep her money and even called the police on her when she asked for her money back so she could find somewhere else to stay for the night. This hotel is full of prostitutes and drug heads someone needs to shut this infested roach motel down asap. Try to call them I bet you will be hung up on or you wont be able to understand this stupid staff or they will be really rude. Ask about the bed bugs they will lie to you just to get your money… I will never ever go back to this nasty place ever again.

Room was clean, housekeeper was awesome when my grandma asked for extra pillows she got them right away, the staff were all very nice. There were some college kids being a little loud and drinking but they weren't a disturbance past 10pm we had fun in the pool then enjoyed relaxing watching cartoons in the room.

Anna was very friendly and helpful. We came in from Newton beach and had a reservation somewhere else that was real schetchy. Anna let us look at the room before check in. Room was clean. Bed is extremely hard but beggars can't be choosers when it was a Friday night and limited rooms.

Got a room that was not cleaned, signs of use. Had to ask for another room. TV did not work, breakfast was horrendous. Cereal and waffles. Milk was empty, coffee was empty. Not a good experience.

It was OK. Pretty run down but the staff is super nice. Used the conference room and stayed overnight out of necessity. Not sure if I would have chosen to stay there if we had just driven by. Kinda seems like one of those places you looked for as a teenager because you knew you'd be able to get away with with just about anything.

There was old gum on the bed, like wtf? It stood out too, like bright pink on a yellow blanket. There was also stains on the bed. But we came here to chill, not to sleep so whatever. Bathroom was clean. Everything else was cool. It was a good price so I expected worse tbh.

It was awful, we had to leave because we got eaten alive by BEDBUGS! I was able to catch one in a cup and show the front desk. He didn't seem surprised at all. There was mold in the bathroom, nasty foot and show prints on the wall, stains on the floor, and the walkways even outside the room smelled like vomit and urine with a touch of simple green.

Was one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. I couldn't give my daughter a bath because the bath tub was so torn up the fiber glass was showing. The air unit was hanging off the wall and we refused to use the outlets due to how damaged they were.

Ants in the 2nd floor sink & bathtub, had to change rooms. Staff hires illegals too.

Great customer service from Dorsey! He let us check in at 5 AM and we will be able to stay the whole day until tomorrow morning at check out. The breakfast wasn't just the usual continental, they have a freaking waffle maker. And it's awesome. Clean room. I think something is leaking above the shower in room 103, but I personally don't really give a crap. After the last hotel we stayed at in Oklahoma, anything can beat it. No bugs! Dead OR alive!

We checked in at 3 in the morning and was forced to check out at 11 the same day. We stayed at one before that let us stay for the full day we should have had. It's been a terrible experience. They neglected to tell us that we still had to check out at 11. The rooms were not the best, the air conditioning sounded like it was going to explode and the toilet kept making sounds. If I were you don't check in at this place.

When I first walked in to my room it smelled like pee. The from desk receptionist was very helpful and nice. The rug was filthy.

This place was bad we asked for none smoking room. But clearly that was not the case as well as check out time is at 11am so why do I have to wait till 3 pm to check in? I would not recommend this place to any one.

This place is a pit no matter how you slice it. Dirty, disgusting and stinks terribly. I arrived late at night and when I went into my room, the cleaning chemical smell was so overbearing I had to put a towel over my face just to sleep. I think there must have been a sewer backup or leak at some point because underneath the chemical smell was a slight smell of sewage. This place needs a complete overhaul. Don't waste your money.

I understand this is a super 8, I expected cheap. But this is GHETTO and in the middle of nowhere. If ur passing thru for a night then ok, but otherwise I would NOT recommend.

Location and price were right. Don't know why smokers insist on smoking in non-smoking rooms or in front of doorways so the smell drifts upwards. There was an old man pervert the first night I reported (my husband said I should've called police), who was sitting in his room with the door open naked. I thought maybe he wasn't all there — my husband who is a policeman said don't let that fool you — perverts want you to see them. No further incident after I reported it. My first night was interesting.

The only one best thing good about this hotel was the breakfast. We got a room on the first floor which had a view of a local business. Next door to us was loud music that wouldn't turn off until 7:30 AM and you got people smoking LITERALLY OUTSIDE THEIR ROOM! TV was getting messed up, and when that happened, you would have to wiggle around some sort of TV input that was in front of the tv. Staff was friendly and willing to help though.

This Super 8 is awesome. Helpful professional staff, nice large room with fluffy pillows and nice TV. This hotel is close to everything and I had one of the best times ever. I will be back! Thank you super 8. Mm.

Everything was basically OK for the price. We stayed 4 nights. Room was dull and very outdated. Stains on carpet and blankets, toilet never stopped running. The beds did sleep well. Breakfast was good but not restocked often enough. Same fruit everyday, same cereal everyday, same cinnamon roll. Fitness room did not exist but the hot tub was in good working order. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Such a beautiful area and the rooms were so dull and out dated. How about a makeover.
