This place is beautiful. I didn’t stay but was there for golfing, coffee and steak. The staff at golf was very helpful. The coffee is okay. The steak was good. Free parking available. Open for anyone not just resort guess.

We rented a cabana at the pool and then a light popped out. They fixed it once but never showed back up to fix it again after we were told they were coming but 2 hours later no one came. When we complained at the front office they told us they had no control over that, which clearly they did. The other pool near us had massive amounts of people in it with zero social distancing! Then we ate at Bob's and they served my 13 year old a birthday dessert with peanuts and had to call 911 as he is allergic. We will never ever be back! Quite possibly the worst trip we have ever taken!

I worry about whether or not I can trust Omni's hotel food. They claim they are 100% cage-free, but they refuse to update their customers on it. There is something sneaky there. I wish they were more transparent about their food sourcing because animal welfare is important to me.

It was a great couple of days. I had the best pedicure and massage I have ever had. Hats off to the staff. Poolside service was awesome. Very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Way way way too many kids in a luxury hotel! So many kids it’s like Disney.
“Do not disturb” signs are ignored.
Getting car valet service is ridiculous. A guest should not have to wait with golfers and people that are here for events, at a single valet circle.
Check in is very slow.
I will say the grounds are beautiful and rooms are lovely. The staff is friendly as well.

My son works at this beautiful Omni Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Ca. We had a wonderful time a couple of years ago, when my son treated me to a Mother's Day Retreat! We had a wonderful time, beautiful clean rooms, beautiful flowers and clean streets! I have never seen a Resort so sparkling and clean! The food was great! We stayed at Omni's sister Resort near Palm Springs! Beautiful pools! I am very proud of my son, for working for such a wonderful Resort!

Sorry to say your resort is nothing like it was when we visited back in 2016. Your staff top notch. There was nothing they would not do to please us. Not the way it was on our last visit…

I was the DJ for a wedding at this resort recently. It’s a large and beautiful venue. The scenery of the golf course and the mountains are really nice. The resort is kept up very well. Definitely high end. As a vendor it’s challenging because the ballrooms aren’t too close to the loading dock, so give yourself some extra time to setup. Luckily I did because you never know with new places you haven’t been to before. Plus traffic getting there is usually heavy. But I would recommend the venue if you can afford it. It is beautiful.

Hotel was great and we have stayed here before however this stay was hard to enjoy. The hotel grounds were infested with mosquitoes. It made it almost impossible to enjoy our stay there as we could hardly be outside. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and we left with 20+ bites each. Just on the walk from our room to the restaurant we were bitten 4-5 times. I believe that somewhere on their grounds are hatching mosquitoes (maybe the golf course lagoons) as we went a few blocks down the street to the grocery store and shops and had no problems. Very disappointed with our stay. At the very least they should have offered bug repellent spray for their guests. Overall we were not able to enjoy our full stay as we had to stay in doors most of the time.

Historic La Costa hotel in Carlsbad is now run by Omni. The "family suite" rooms (955/957) we stayed in last week could use a little more updating imo esp for the rates they are charging. They are really just connecting rooms. We had plenty of space for a family of four, but not a ton of privacy. The Wi-Fi was slow but we just used the free version. If you're checking in to your office regularly you may want to upgrade (this may be due to mountainous area and proximity to coa…st affecting Wi-Fi because I noticed my Verizon photo data wasn't great either which is unusual). There was a small fridge in room which we appreciated & their store has milk, snacks, etc. Maybe a future upgrade could be adding a microwave. The part of the resort we loved was the grounds and amenities. We enjoyed tennis, pools, water slide, shops, spa — and just walking around the property is nice with the golf course, plaza, etc. There are stores and restaurants both on property and nearby. It's not on the beach but it is just a few minutes away by car (or hotel shuttle)! The purpose of our trip was pleasure — we picked this resort so my husband could play tennis & as a league player (4.5) he was happy with the quality of the pros here and we very much enjoyed the WTT Aviators match! Also I would add that we had really good service from attendants all around the resort. I would definitely stay here again, and hope Omni keeps improving the property because this could easily be a 5 star resort.

Beautiful resort! Me and my family have been coming here for years and we've always had a great time! The layout is open and mainly outdoors, making for a comfortable and easygoing walk between shops and restaurants. The various shops are pricey, but have great clothing and items. The restaurants have great food and are at a good variety. The pools can get crowded, but are otherwise nice. There are cabanas that can be rented, as well as waterslides for older children and a water play area and a family pool for the younger children. There is a spa that has been widely praised. The golf courses are fun to play on as well. All around, this resort is a great choice for a relaxing time!

What a great hotel in such a great area. Very close to the beach wonderful views. I had an event here and the staff and venue was so great. My customers were so happy with the show. Hotel has all the amenities and great rooms. Can't wait to go back!

What an overrated dump. From the lack of signage to the indifferent staff to the startling resemblance to a haystack populated with weeds, this faded gem is a waste of cash. Stay away. At all costs.

We had a wonderful time! The place sparkles with beautiful flowers and the grassy knolls beckon you to recline and relax! Everyone greeted me with a beautiful smile and made me feel so welcome!
Loved all the fun activities that were scheduled! I especially enjoyed my full day at the Spa! I was surprised that they didn’t have a mineral bath on the premises, since they had a Chopra Center. Loved doing meditation and the yoga classes.
They also provided a free shuttle to the beach! I wish it ran a bit later. It stopped running at 5:00pm. But still a great service! Loved it!

The grounds are beautiful however a clean room is important and first impressions are a big deal. Unfortunately upon approaching our room we found dirty dishes outside the door from the previous guest which left us wondering as to whether the room had been cleaned. The beds were made and the bathroom looked ok. But there was a leaf on the coffee table and debris behind the door with a kleenex tissue that had not been swept. We had dinner plans that night so didn’t get to complain until we returned. Apparently there was no other room available for us to move to and all they could do was send housekeeping to clean our room the next day.

We stayed for a few nights for a conference and could have given better reviews except for two things. When we were at one of the pools with our kids another guest told us not to go to another pool because it was contaminated and there was no sign to warn guests. And our bathroom door came off it’s slider and it took two days to get it fixed even though we called a few times. We were sent strawberries and cookies when they came to fix it which was really nice, and we were asked at checkout if there was anything else they could do, but at that point we were leaving. It was a very busy time and I’m sure our experience would be different if we revisited, but these were a few things that made our stay a little less than ideal.

We had a ladies spa day to celebrate a big birthday. The birthday spa package for groups of four or more was perfect! Each person had choice of 50 minute relaxation massage or a facial. Full day access to the amazing spa facilities, lunch and cake for dessert. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of flowers in bloom. Was blown away at the attention to detail that Courtney, our spa coordinator, put into making the day so memorable. Will definitely be going back!

I stayed here while attending a conference in MARCH 2018. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. I received tangerines and bottled water on arrival for me and my family. Definitely a plus after the long ride. The children enjoyed the water slide and pools. The restaurants on site were great. Our room was a one bedroom suite and an outdoor table and chairs overlooking the golf course. We really enjoyed our stay. We ate at Bob’s steakhouse and VUE. Again, our accommodations were amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Will be coming back again.

The Spa at Omni La Costa as absolutely first class. I went in for a Massage and relaxing day by the pool… The Massage was fantastic and the spa services were excellent. They offer a sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge, heated pools (I'd estimate around 85 degrees warm), plenty of lounge chairs, and poolside food and drink service. All of this is on impeccably maintained grounds with attentive service. Highly recommended… I'll be going back, with my wife next time!

Hotel has great team from front desk staff to restaurants server, specifically Carlos, the server at Vue restaurant. He provided very excellent customer service in terms of making sure serving me fresh brew coffee that I requested. He made sure to refill me a other cup of coffee was fresh brewed. Always wearing a big smile and greet every customer with cheerful face. He made my morning beautifully.

Really really nice, but u gotta pay. We got a comp'd room upgrade for a staff blunder. N it was sweet. Room service was tasty too. Great for family. Awesome weather.

Unfortunately, I found this place to be a circus. With a tee time at 10am, I did not expect that early of a check in but the front desk told me they would call when my room was ready. At 2pm, no call so I went to the front desk and the room was ready but I was never notified. After that, I went to the adult only pool where one bar tender was working. My group ordered drinks that took 1.5 hours to arrive and that was only two of the three we ordered. The other arrived another 30 minuted later. I tried ordering drinks at the bar to try and speed up service but the single bar tender was overwhelmed with all orders and after 30 minutes, I gave up. After the pool I went to order a pizza which I figured would be 30-45 minutes. After an hour I asked for an update and was told my order still was in fourth position behind the others. I asked for a refund and left. I still have one night left here and have very low expectations for Bob’s Steakhouse which is the on-site restaurant. Wish me luck and hope we get our food before midnight. Ground here looked great but that does not justify any rating above 1 star.

This gorgeous resort is a great get away for couples and families! Beautiful groomed landscaping and pristine architecture surrounds you. The rooms are large, with a good selection of different types to match your needs. There are multiple restaurants, places to relax, and stellar pools. This is a fantastic destination.

PFC is an absolutely incredible program! The staff all the way from sales to admin to the chefs and the trainers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable across the whole spectrum of their domain. The program is hard work, but so worthwhile in every way. You leave with a true understanding of health and fitness and mindset that you probably can't find anywhere else in the world. Each and every trainer gets to know you personally and helps you achieve your goals. They are high energy, positive, and motivating throughout all aspects of the program. The environment with the other campers is also so positive and friendly you not only feel great going thorough it with them, but you really make great friends. If you are considering a program like this, stop looking and do PFC, you won't regret it!

Our family of 5 go here every spring break. Kids love the pools, & jacuzzi's. We love the atmosphere. We will easily keep going every year. It feels safe to let the kids run around in their own a bit. Good places to see nearby. Breweries, restaurants, flower fields, beach, etc.

What a blast. Couldn’t be happier, Bob’s steak and chop was the best hidden secret in north county San Diego. Staff was amazing and can’t wait to come back!

Great location, family and adult pools plus multiple restaurants and bars make it a go to for me. The gym has almost everything you need for complete workouts. There are no barbells and racks. One negative is condition of the rooms. They could really use updates to the villa kitchens and baths. Everything works. Just showing age.

We checked in yesterday and were not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We have since been contacted by the director who has kindly offered to move us to another room and refund our first nights accommodation. Excellent customer service. I am changing my review based on the way they handle customer complaint's and go above and beyond to rectify issues. Thanks.

A beautiful, relaxing vibe that feels more like condo life than hotel. Beautiful grounds. The room interior is a little outdated but could be considered charming. The rooms are generously sized. Very kid-friendly.

Very disappointed with the service. No help. They “ran out of comforters” they brought me blankets with hold in them. Dirty pillow. Very very disappointed. Would never recommend this property to anyone. Oh and they room? No bed. Pullout couch. Be aware of this.

Such a beautiful golf course and resort. I played the Champions course, which was very challenging. It was in great shape for mid winter. The food and amenities within the resort are top notch. Great place resort to bring kids. They have an incredible pool area with a couple water slides.

My workplace is accurate vicitenlo and it's going to be a pretty experience.

Spent the day at the spa with my mother-in-law and her friend. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the massage was one of the better ones I've had in my lifetime. Lunch was also lovely, though expect to be spending quite a bit here. We were celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday and she had a lovely time relaxing and being pampered.

Incredible Service and Golf Experience! I took my father in law to play golf here for his 60th B day. All the staff was extremely friendly, and we received top notch service across campus. The conditions of the golf course were phenomenal as well. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

My family loves La Costa Resort. The rooms are nice and the extra large tub is great. The pools are delightful even in winter. The gym is amazing. I highly recommend this family friendly resort.

This is for the Champions golf course. Clubhouse staff and starter were very helpful and friendly. Played from the white tees, which were probably a little long for me (6200 yds). At that distance, course was pretty challenging. Lots of bunkers, a 200+ yard par 3, and a handful of water crossings to deal with. The course layout is great — course management is at a premium. Generally, the course was in good shape, and is very picturesque, but the greens weren't as nice as I expected. Still, one of the better courses in North County. Not a good value at the regular price — look for a deal!

Beautiful property. Customer service from Luca, the Valet, Emily the fitness instructor, Nelson in the restaurant, and the entire ballroom dining staff was amazing. The fitness center was the best I have been too. Loved the gym! Food in ballroom was not the best, property food was great and the customer service was fantastic! Gorgeous property! Bathroom in the room was amazing! Loved my stay!

We went for an event of my company for Christmas. Everything-everything was excellent and professional.

There are beautiful humming birds all over the property (see pic with flowers). Rooms are clean and spacious. Resort is huge with several pools, pool slides, spa, kids zone, kid's pools, golf, tennis, a restaurant, a marketplace, the Chopra center yoga studio, and some retail. I'm taking off a star because the walls are paper thin. I can hear every conversation of guests below, next door and even across the hall. It's hard to sleep because of this. My room has a balcony with a lovely court yard view and while it's a large property, nothing seems too far to get to.

The spa is absolutely beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. They offer a large selections of services. My massage was awesome! The food is yummy! The staff are excellent! A must do yearly. I am about that Spa Life.

Resort property was very nice and well maintained. Staff were incredibly helpful. The pool area was nice, but my son was disappointed that the water slides were not open when we went swimming. It was a bit of a walk from the lobby to our room. My son enjoyed the free s'mores.

Such an amazing place. Like your own private Spanish Town. The golf courses are beautiful and rather open. The tennis courts are maintained. The kids really enjoyed the pools and especially the water slides. Highly recommend!

The Omni La Costa Resort is a wonderful location in Carlsbad, CA. I stayed at the resort for a business celebration conference. The amenities and food were great, and above what would be expected. I did not get to try all of the tremendous amount of ameneties available (multiple pools, tennis courts, golf course, yoga studio, weekly activities etc. ) There is just so much to do, and I was not there long enough to maximize all of it! The resort is nicely spread out, but may require walking or catching the golf cart shuttles to go between locations for those that are not independently mobile. This sneak peak makes me want to come back and make sure to utilize and try out more amenities!

Service by all staff from the Bell desk to check in was fantastic. The food at Bistro 65 was great as well and the waiter should be commended for his service and recommendations. Bed was SUPER comfortable! I'll be coming back for sure. Omni has done a great job. Was here about 6 yrs ago and it's phenomenally better.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoy every time I visit! Truly a wonderful place! I sit out by the pool or work out in the fitness center. The food is pricey but its a resort so what do you expect. Overall a good experience.

The edge pool has one of the best views over the professional golf coarse. Amazing atmosphere with all of their greenery and shops on site. Pretty central to a lot of different attractions and shops. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or family member for a vacation. Rooms are a pretty good size for what you pay for. Thanks Omni resort for a great stay.

Nice rooms. The staff is very helpful. Family friendly. Our kids enjoyed the pools. We aren't huge golfers, but we enjoyed the driving range and the views. We won our stay at a fundraiser raffle, so I can't comment on the price and value.

The staff at the resort were fantastic, but the layout of the property is a bit expansive and the rooms aren't very well equipped for an overnight business traveler. In this case, I couldn't find any powered USB ports available for charging devices, which is something I've come to see as fairly standard. Curiously, I did find a charger for an iPhone 4, which seemed a bit out of date. The room itself is laid out well and the patio is a nice touch. I would have appreciated a bit more desk space, but on the upside the bed was really comfortable and the TV was easy to use, which isn't as common as it seems it should be. The bathroom door, oddly, was a real hassle. It was a two panel door, one side of which was on a sprung hinge, and would not remain open. As I didn't fit conveniently through one half of the door without turning sideways, I found the constant bumping into it annoying by the end of my stay. I think I understand why the door is built the way it is; if it were to stay open the other half would interfere with the main door opening. But annoying none the less. In sum, I think this is the kind of place I would definitely bring my kids, were we to have a couple days where we wanted to kick around in a pool, which is something I didn't get a chance to do. With a little bit of investment, perhaps a better solution for the self parking situation, I could easily see this resort becoming a five-star.
