It's a cheap hotel, centrally located, with decent access to various venues. The rooms are aging, Wi-Fi was terrible, and the bathroom was generally well maintained but the shower had the beginnings of mold in a small spot. It's what you'd expect at this price range, nothing more, nothing less.

Not the cleanest place. There wasn't anything gross, but there were cobwebs at the light fixture by the door (on the inside) and loose towel racks that fell off, and the table was very wobbly, and the bathroom door got stuck a little. None of that really bothered me, but it all added up. The staff seemed nice; I had no problem there. I just needed a bed to sleep on, and for that I had no problem. I would not suggest this hotel for a romantic getaway, but it's fine if you just need a place to crash.

Beds were comfy. Rooms are a little small in some places. Location convenient. Lots of things to do that are close by.

The location was perfect, just a short Uber ride to the Amtrak station! Very decent accommodations and great price.

Old but clean. Free parking and Wi-Fi, and our service dog was welcomed. Beds were hard, but clean, and we we were able to walk to the events we came to town for. An economical choice if you won't be spending a lot of time in the room anyways.

Booked a room for one night because I'm having work done on my house. Rooms look old and dirty, and the cable don't work at all. Went to parking lot to smoke a cigarette and write this review and was asked twice by two different people if I could get them speed. Don't book here!

Location is pretty nice, very walkable to midtown amenities and to the Capital block. Staff was very nice. Price was perfect for a budget stay. Breakfast was very minimal, so plan on eating elsewhere.

I don't recommend Heste Motel. There is no parking, the rooms Etan Susios and the Almuadas are very used.

Great location and low cost. Don't count on the Wi-Fi or edible breakfast. It's a decent place to sleep during a stay in Sacramento.

Nice people, fairly clean room, although someone else's trash was left in the room when I checked in. Easy walk to the convention center.

You definitely get what you pay for. Rooms seem clean on the surface, but the carpet was grimy. The bathroom had peeling paint and mold in the shower wall seams. The linens were fresh but that's about it. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. Good location is all that this place has going for it.

This place is a favorite of mine. I like the staff and the way they take care of me and my needs. Some of the rooms can benefit from being updated but otherwise I am happy staying here. It's generally located to downtown stores, restaurants, the state capital and easy to get to and from. Prices are decent for the location.

Staff was friendly the rooms were clean it was in a convenient location and what is definitely visit again.

The staff was great and the room was neat! My stay at econo lodge in Sacramento was a pleasure. Breakfast was good as well.

You get what you pay for. About an hour after arriving in my room, I noticed the bottoms of my socks were black from the filthy carpet. It clearly hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable. In the bathroom, the white shower curtain had turned yellow, and there were some light brown streaks of mold (I hope it was mold) in the tub. Breakfast is included but food choices and seating are extremely limited. If you can, it's definitely worth paying $30 more per night for a nicer hotel in the same area.

The guy at the front office was cool. Super nice. It's not fancy at all… kinda shady, but the room was clean and beds are firm. Good for the price we paid, I guess.

It was very run down, the beds and sheets were clean, the room smelled bad and there was a cockroach friend on the sink. The airport shuttle was really good.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place was quite, clean, and safe. I would stay again.

I had a nice stay. I couldn't figure out the Wi-Fi, but it's not that important to me. The room are simple and clean. Had to park on the street because the lot was full on Saturday. Like a lot of Sacramento, the area can seem sketchy. I had no problems with residents, nor others staying at the motel though.

The worst ever, roaches everywhere. Room smelled like cigars. Parking lot smells like urine. When I spoke to the manager about the roaches in my room, he said I know it's the heat… really. Don't waste your money here.

Check in was great. The area is great and walkable in Midtown. Lots of channels on the tv. Wifi was spotty, AC worked great. The area is quiet but a roach was spotted in my room by the night stand and then in the bathroom. Staff was great and let me store my bags as well after I checked out. Some items in the bathroom were loose. Fridge was great in the room. Bed was a little hard.

The initial appearance of the entire establishment is deterring. The doors in the rooms were not aligned, therefore, gaps allowed a space for viewing — in both the entrance and bathroom doors. In addition to the key card lock, there were several other "security" locks that were not professionally installed, thus making the location seem unsafe and insecure. Throughout the establishment the paint was terrible. It looked like touch ups and several coats that were lazily done. Additionally, the bathroom was terrible. The shower looked unsanitary; the window was open and had no way of being securely shut. When walking on the carpet in the rooms, our feet would turn black, which tells us that the flooring is not cleaned properly and/or professionally. The office was dirty and the continental breakfast had a minimal selection. I don't believe the stay was worth the amount spent.

Cheap and clean. Good no frills place near the convention center.

Great nightly rate. The rooms themselves are nice even the outside looks a little janky. Excellent location in regards to downtown.

Great location, short walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The back windows didn't have curtains and that let the sun in earlier than I would have liked.

Room was ok. Someone through a rock at the we window and mgmt didn't. Rectify the situation.

Beautiful new rooms, they have just changed everything, beds, TVs, sheets, covers. Really everything and the room looks like 4 stars hotel, WELL DONE! I will always stay here.

Very comfortable quaint rooms and at the employ who speaks English without an accent is very kind and accommodating the other employs are kind forsure but can be a bit trite overall very pleased.

Bugs were all inside the bed it was absolutely disgusting! The staff was completely rude. There were bums everywhere looking into all of the cars. I will never stay here again. Even someone elses hair was all over the shower!

Location, location, location. Went to SacTown for a quick trip. This hotel is perfect for a clean place to crash. Initially the reservation said "smoking room" not sure how but I'm sure it was my fault. The rooms that are smoking reek but that's to be expected. I went back to the counter and the woman accommodated me right away. Super friendly staff. I'll be back the next time I get an itch to visit the City of Trees.

Perfect spot for Convention Center access, and good restaurants nearby. Lovely, tree-lined streets, cool funky 50's building. The staff was supremely patient with me as I made many changes to my reservation, multiple times. They were helpful and made it all happen. Bring extra food for breakfast, if you're counting on that meal. I slept well, but used earplugs for the street noise and ambient sounds. Very friendly front desk staff.

Always enjoy our stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. We look forward to our next stay.

I've stayed here a couple times recently. It's your typical "owned and run" by a family who's home is attached to the office. My last stay, the Wi-Fi didn't work the entire time. Twice when I called to complain, the manager/owner was condescending and repeated directions I had already tried.

Good for a cheap place to stay if you are going out downtown or looking for a really low-cost hotel. Overall, its pretty dingy, rooms feel old and dirty. It also smells kind of like urinal cake in the rooms. If looking for a low cost, low key, slightly grimy place, this is it.

Easy access to convention center with good restaurants nearby. Clean, friendly service, affordable.

We came to Sacramento for a concert and decided at the last minute to get a hotel so our stuff would safer than in my car that doesn't lock. Well. Turns out it probably would have been better off in the truck, cause when we got back from the concert our stuff was gone (not much, a purse, credit cards, etc. ) but after it happened no employee or manager pursued this any further then telling me to call the police leading me to believe that they either knew it was happening, were involved, or is such a common occurrence that they just ignore it when it happens. Something is fishy.
