I love it because it is quite, green, has access to the walking trail and the rooms are comfy. Love to sit by the pool and hot tub and watch the sunset in the summer.

This place is awesome! Very beautiful setting, quiet, and super clean. Staff is great, made us feel right at home.

Ponderous Gardens is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Paradise, Ca. We stayed 2 nights in room 45 and found it very clean and comfortable. Most rooms offer a sliding glass door that opens to the beautifully landscaped inner court which includes a nice clean swimming pool and hot tub. There are picnic tables and nice lawn area, perfect for kids. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they serve a good continental breakfast each morning in the lobby. Prices are decent with various types of rooms and suites available. Ponderosa Gardens is a wonderful place to stay in the Paradise area.

Ponderosa Gardens Motel while being one of the better looking hotels in Paradise has some of the worst customer service in town which is likely due to poor ownership and management. They frequently book rooms that are already occupied and then threaten to call the police if you question the action. The complete lack of hospitality in a supposed 3 star hotel is suprising especially at the prices charged.

Love stay here. A great getaway from home. And the pool is extremely well maintained.

I went up there this weekend to stay for my radio station High School reunion at this motel. It is beautiful, clean and very comfortable rooms, a beautiful pool and very nice staff highly recommend anybody to stay there and just remember Paradise is a little bit of beauty!

Probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was so cute and modern. Very clean. The walkin shower is absolutely beautiful and such a nice touch. The beds are so comfortable. The grounds made me feel like I'm I was on a nature getaway. You can really tell the owners care about this place and make you feel as welcome as possible! Definitely would recommend!

Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Spacious rooms… only one complaint, it's not the easiest place to find even with GPS. Reason is… it's hidden behind other buildings off the main road, and signage is confusing from the street.

It has a pool and a hot tub and great cleaning service and the rooms are very nice and pretty.

Wonderful layout with stunning landscape from the back of the room. Beds comfortable. Rooms large. Everything great except pillows were uncomfortable. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could :)

This was a great motel. I'm very picky and I found the place very clean and the staff was so willing to please. We had a conference here where we needed to have a speakerphone, and the one they had wasn't working well so the next day that went down to Chico and bought not one, but two speakerphones just to make sure that there would be no problem. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and it was so serene. Really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and my stay here.

This place is sooo beautiful, clean and welcoming! Its definitely family owned and a person can tell as soon as they walk in! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

My brother is handicapped with the need of wheelchair accessibility bathroom and room. They stay there whenever visiting us, because our house, especially the bathrooms, are not wheelchair accessible. We and they are late risers, so they use the breakfast bar at the motel. Good variety of drinks and continental breakfast choices. Motel is located off the Skyway to a back lot in a beautiful, quiet setting.

It smells of Pine and flowers is very clean has a super nice pool and is in the nicest spot in town. The staff especially Sally and the lady from Peru are as nice as anybody I have ever dealt with. Hurry because prime rates start on April 1st.

This is the best lodging in Paradise. Its warm and welcoming, clean and beautifully furnished. The gift shop is amazing! You need to stop by and browse. There are goodies you won't find anywhere else. I have stayed here for many years and will continue to do so for as long they will have me. The rooms are secure and comfortable. You get your own microwave and mini fridge. Views are so nice and the grounds are kept immiculate. I really am such a big fan of Ponderosa Gardens. I highly recommend you give them a try.

Huge rooms, excellent amenities in room and out. Make the extra effort to ensure a good experience. Lovely setting but a bit overpriced. Some staff intolerable but the housekeeping and desk personnel go the extra mile to ensure your needs are met. Not a particularly luxurious place but very lovely, safe and has a charm to it. Hard to find off Skyway. There are many other places that seem more fun. Also has food & drinks across the Skyway. Which is a 4 lane 'highway' with no crosswalks! So be prepared to run! Overall worth it but price per night is too high.

Relaxing, quiet, and friendly. Rooms were very large, clean and accommodating. Will stay there next time we visit Paradise/Chico area.

There was a problem with room and the staff was quick to get us moved. The new room had people coming in just before Thanksgiving and we would have to move back to original room to finish our stay but the gal at the desk worked out a change. We are so pleased with the staff, room and service, we would gladly stay here again.

I gave Ponderosa Gardens five stars because it is an excellently maintained large older Motel. I had about a month long stay at Ponderosa Gardens as my kitchen and bath were being repaired and remodeled, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It has excellent maid service and I never wanted for anything. I had clean, white fluffy towels stocked daily along with coffee, tea, water and hair products. The motel has excellent customer service and the staff is very friendly. Any request was quickly tended too without any problems. The pool area is immaculately kept and the grounds are beautiful. It is only one story and the noise level is pretty much none at all. So it is quiet and the flat screen TV had plenty of channels. I am very pkeased and highly recommend to anyone visiting Paradise,

I wrote a review of our stay here October 2017 moments before we departed our stay. UNFORTUNATELY my 10/10 became a 1/10 once we had driven 45 minutes down the road back home my Son realized he had left his wallet on the night stand behind the alarm clock. I called the Ponderosa immediately and they said Yes the wallet was turned in to the front desk from the housekeeper who had found it where he left it. We walked when we arrived back and received the wallet everything seemed to be inside except for the $160.00 cash. We had brought this to the clerks attention she then was ashamed of working co workers who would be so dishonest. And we were directed to the onsite manager. She said she would review the servalence cameras, she didn't finish it thourally when a few of the employees walked in and she asked if they saw the wallet. I quickly reminded her that the wallet was turned in to the front desk from the housekeeper who had found it shortly after we departed our room in the specific spot my son had left it. I ask the manager if I could see the housekeeper and she instead of being concerned of this crime towards us involving her employee… she came up with oh didn't someone turn it in after they found it on the walkway near the room? And I said oh then your cameras will see that person tossing my sons wallet on the ground.

Setting was nice, breakfast was acceptable and normal, room nothing special but they charged me another $10 on top of what I booked the room for. Said they ran out of Queen beds but it sure looked like there were a lot of open rooms from the lack of cars. So watch out for that possible scam.

A really nice place to stay. Spacious rooms, lovely landscaping and a beautiful pool and spa. It was about 105 deg outside, but our room was nice and cool. Ask for Room 36. Breakfast was just OK.

We were in Paradise, CA 2 weeks ago due to my husband's mother passed away. We stayed at Ponderosa Garden Motel and loved it. The staff is amazing — so helpful and friendly. The rooms were not fancy but very clean and well kept. Each room has its own little patio with a view of the wonderful landscaping on the grounds. We were very satisfied and will go there again. Wonderful little motel!

We enjoyed our stay while visiting our son at Chico State. The grounds and pool were clean and well kept. There was a 100 year old birthday party happening while we were there. Everyone was so fun and entertaining!. We really enjoyed the pool.
Our room was fabulous, only complaint would be to have more then 2 pillows for a king bed.

Great property, the rooms could us a bit of updating. Staff was super friendly and the pool is great.

We recently stayed four nights. Mostly was a good experience. Seems to be well operated. Very quiet location. Property well cared for. Carpets need cleaning. Beds comfortable. Biggest complaint — — — terrible $5 Target pillows, small and only two. We paid $120/night for a room with pillows that even Motel 6 would reject! Really hard to believe, a gross error for a motel. Bring your own pillows if you stay. Control handles on the bathtub and sink loose and rattling. Maids not trained to pay attention to the small stuff. Not a good value at $120, much more an $80/ night motel.

We very much enjoyed our stay PGM, this is our second stay. There are a couple nice lawn areas one surrounding the pool were we sat in the shade and played games and another on the other side of the complex both were very nice. They were able to accommodate our entire family of about 25 people. If I had a negative experience it would be that some of the beds and furniture need to be updated. With that said the price was very reasonable compared to other place our family has stayed. My overall experience was very pleasant.

Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, updated clean rooms, pet friendly & restaurants in walking distance! I'm not one that stays in motels however if they were clean and homey like this one, I probably wouldn't mind and wouldn't be so picky about the certain HOTELS that I find acceptable!

I'm moving to Paradise and needed a convenient place to stay. Since I had my elderly mom with me, I also needed it to be comfortable as well This motel was just that with a big exception. When we turned on the heater it blew a lot of dust which caused my mom to get sick. Being the trooper she is, she pushed forward. We stayed a total of 4 nights. Each morning I went to the office and gathered a lovely breakfast of hot/cold cereal, juice, coffee, and pastries to fuel our day. Each morning being greeted by a lovelier woman than the day before. Putting the heater and dust aside, the rooms are nice for a motel more of a cottage style as one rating said. Very quiet and beautifully landscaped (I'm a landscape designer, so I know nice). They do need to change the thin blankets to something more substantial for winter weather. Pros: Nice people, adequate continental breakfast, nice rooms and grounds. Cons: Lousy heat and bedding. After-all this is a place to sleep for most and at $99.00 a night it could be a lot more comfortable in the warmth and bedding department.

Good for what it is, a motel. Compared to any of the big names in more populated cities, the rating would be lower. But relative to this rural area it's pretty good. Clean and comfortable. There's free coffee at the lobby and I think a snack or something (I can't remember, but may have been fruit, such as apples and oranges). Price is right.

Was checking out the rooms and was pleased with the cleanliness abs positive atmosphere.

Stay there a night bed's frame was sticking out, it was not safe, I took a picture of metal pice hanging out and showed that to reception, they did not send any one to repair or offer any room change. Place is kind of old, it needs renovation.

Hello, Please be warned that this place is bad. My family and I stayed here while visiting family and were very disappointed. The rooms were not clean and the sheets had stains. When we called for our reservations we were quoted one price and when we arrived they tried to charge us more and told us that they had no record of that price. We paid but after looking through emails I found the original quote. After much arguing it was fixed. Our screen door was falling off and the slider would only open half way. I could go on for pages. Please skip this place if at all possible.

Experience was very nice and very clean I'm a girl I was with was just thought that was unbelievable.

Great place to stay swimming pool, jacuzzi and good continental breakfast. Try the Thai restaraunt on the left just after Billie Road crosses the Skyway.

Horrible experience. The room I stayed in with my wife and brother in law had bed bugs. The staff took nearly a week to handle the situation and we finally were given our money back for the night we stayed. The rooms were very deceiving they looked clean, but unfortunately bed bugs invaded the mattresses. This was in May 2013. I'm sure not all of the rooms had bugs, but I would recommend you check the mattresses before sleeping in a hotel bed. I definitely learned my lesson.

I love this place! Can't say enough about it. Wish they would change all the showerheads to hand held.
