Such a fantastic property. Loved their bikes you could use to bike to the wineries.

Beautiful resort with stunning views. Luxurious cottages with indoor outdoor living. Bedroom opens to private courtyard with chaise lounges, fountain, outdoor tub and heaters for chilly evenings. Bathroom was also very well done, heated floors, large shower and jet tub. Restaurants were also excellent. Very impressed, will stay again.

Excellent resort not too far from the City. Beautiful setting and landscaping. Great pools. Service can be somewhat indifferent at times, but the quality of the rooms, beauty of the environment, and the surrounding vineyards make up for it.

My husband and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have made a better decision. It was the most gorgeous place, such an accommodating staff, wonderfully maintained property, and absolutely fantastic accommodations. We know that we will be back to this place throughout our life together and are counting the days till our return! The Carneros resort and hotel was a dream come true.

This place is stunning, and it is worth the cost. Loved our private cottage, and we rode bikes around the grounds our entire stay — to dinner, to the pool, just around the resort. Very unique property that is beautiful at every corner. Will definitely be back.

Awesome place! Great for kids to ride bikes and swim or for adult time! The yard area has an outdoor shower and bath plus fire pit for s’mores! Highly recommend!

Any imagine a better spot in wine country. Amazing.

Bed and room was very comfy, and they gave us free wine tastings when we checked in! They have a relaxing pool area and a nice fire pit. Very nice place.

This place is definitely worth every penny. The resort itself is stunning. Each room is completely private and even features an outdoor shower. There are many fire places and pits around the ground for those chilly nights.

I got 50% of Carneros Resort’s potential but paid 100%, not good. We’ve stayed at Carneros Resort several times but first time since it changed ownership. I’m not sure what has happened but we were underwhelmed. It is all about the little things that can make a difference. We’ve loved this property since our first stay but not sure it was worth my hard earned money this time around. Our room: I believe we were in a renovated room, we asked the front desk but could not get an answer. The property was renovating several other cottages while we were there and unfortunately the noise was a factor. We got to the room and we didn’t have soap, outdoor furniture didn’t have cushions, outdoor table didn’t have an umbrella, lounging chairs were covered and full of leaves, outdoor shower full of webs and dirty with bird crap, side bed lights were lose and broken, sink didn’t drain, towels were old and not luxurious, tub didn’t have a candle, I can go on but won’t. Details. We mentioned the soap and drain and they immediately fixed it. But that is not the point. Service: when we mentioned the issues, the front desk didn’t seem apologetic. Basically just asked what room we were in. A “sorry about the inconvenience” could have gone a long way here. She wasn’t rude but probably not trained well to deal with customer complaints. Spa was being renovated and of course they didn’t tell us that until we got there. So didn’t even try it. Focus on your customer wants and expectations.

Another fantastic splurge meal at Boon Fly Cafe. I'm not proud of it, but I assure you we enjoyed the heck out of the onion rings, incredible soup, fish tacos and salad. And the mini doughnuts with warm chocolate dipping sauce? To die for. As always, great service — if you want something, at Boon Fly, you get it. It's that kind of place.

We stopped for tea at the Market. Five Mountains tea is very good. The grounds are lovely, though I don't particularly like the architecture. But everything is done well.

Great hot springs. Warning the mud bath is super hot but nice way to detox all that wine out.

Wonderful hotel. Great food, service, room and grounds. Can't wait to come back.

This was our second stay at the Carneros — unfortunately I should have done my homework, as I now know the hotel is under new management. Our stay here was totally different this time than the first, and not in a good way. My husband was greeted at check in by a very snarky/snobby young man, which set our stay off on a less than desirable tone. Cottage was super run down and dirty — patio area especially, dirt/dust/weeds and spiderwebs. (We were in Juniper 2 and 3 — I will say it was quiet and the view was amazing. ) When we got to our room it was clear the bathroom had not been cleaned (clumps of dark hair everywhere — on the floor, in the shower, etc. Gross). The TV signal was messed up and multiple channels were not available or were displaying so dark we could not see what was showing (called about this and it was never addressed). The towels and linens were not white — they were grimy/off white and threadbare. Service at Otto’s pool was non existent — I had to change the linens on our pool chairs myself. Finally found a pool attendant hiding & surfing the internet on his phone to help me… but wasn’t much help… as he didn’t clear any of the dirty dishes or dirty laundry from the guests who had been in our spot previously (so I moved them myself). Also, cushions and pillows on pool seats all had bird poop on them. Not kidding. Lastly, room service messed up our order not once but two nights in a row.

Great spot overall but starting to look a little run down. The headboard had stains on it and the bed springs could be felt on the best. For the price, I except them to keep up on these things.

My wife and I have been going Farm at Carneros Resort for 10 years. We have always enjoyed the outdoor area and bar menu. Our recent visit continues to please us, starting with a wine list that always has something new to experience. The food is great, the service is wonderful.

Had an amazing time at the resort. The staff was very nice and the rooms were wonderful. Having a fenced in private backyard with fireplace, bathtub and shower was great. The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch. The natural light in each room was great. We went to one yoga class which was fun.

The mineral bath was absolutely incredible. My first massage and they listened to my exact Do' and Don'ts. Very professional and relaxing. Had a great time and recommend this experience to everyone who needs some time for themselves.

Our favorite hotel! Cozy upscale bungalows with private outdoor tub, shower, firepits. Very romantic but it will cost you. Great service including black SUV shuttles to local spots. Eat at farm and enjoy live music on the patio by firefight. Sit by the pool with coffee in the morning. The views and landscaping is amazing.

The rooms and service we're impeccable. The location and grounds is beautiful and awesome for a perfect getaway.

Can't think of what to add to make this place more bucolic. Casual luxury in a perfect setting. UPDATE: 3 years later (and post change of ownership to Flynn Properties) This resort is as wonderful as I remembered. The grounds are so beautiful, that it is a joy to simply stroll around and soak in the ambiance. The esthetic of the property is manicured but rustic elegant. But the best highlight is the level of service. Every single staff person extends themselves to make each guest feel oh so welcome. It is very apparent that the staff is well trained, because such consistently gracious service does not happen without a management team dedicated to customer service. I spent four days at the property, enjoying the room, the fitness center, and the hilltop pool. The only less than perfect experience was our breakfast at The Hilltop Dining Room (omelet was like butter soup, rest of plate was blah), but even with mediocre food, the server was most welcoming. We can't wait to return.

I couldn't say enough nice things about how wonderful our stay was. We will definitely be returning. From the grounds to the staff to the food everything was 5 star. Loved this place.

Carneros is amazing! We hosted a team offsite there and were very impressed — between the attentiveness of the service, quality of facilities, and caring team members, it was an overall 5 Star experience. Highly recommend for small corporate offsite, personal getaways, and parties!

This review is specifically for the restaurant FARM. Table for two after a day of wine tasting in St Helena. We ordered a gin based cocktail and had the farm salad, the truffle tagliatelle, the lamb, and the duck. The cocktail was very good. The salad was average. The tagliatelle was delicious! The lamb and duck were very mediocre. The veggies in these meat dishes were very random and too acidic, so didn't really go that well. There was also a 1 hour delay between our salad and the next course for some reason, likely because they had to serve a large table which threw off their pacing. They did not do anything to compensate for the wait which was a bit surprising given how much we paid for the meal. Although we were not in a rush, I think this tainted the experience because I had not eaten anything significant for about 8 or 9 hours after a full day of wine tasting and at that point I only had one cocktail, a small portion of salad, and bread. Overall the service was still quite good, and the ambience was wonderful, but don't think I'd come back. I would give it a 3.5 stars. There are many other better places in the area to try for your money's worth. Probably a great option if you're actually staying at the resort.

Another great meal at Boone Fly. Tasty dishes presented by a knowledgeable staff and cooked by people who care. What more can one want?

The location is really beautiful and I love the various pastries they make for different seasoms/events!

Usually a slight wait here but you can order a drink while you wait and sit at one of the tables outside. The service is really attentive, it all employees are really nice. The brunch menu is nice and expansive, I had the burrito and could barely finish it. It was delicious.

Boon Fly Cafe… no better breakfast, especially the doughnut holes! Great neighborhood spot.

Food was good, service sucked and way overpriced, there are places in town that are better and half the price.

Absolutely amazing rooms with two fireplaces and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. If you are going to visit Napa/Sonoma this is the place to stay.

Beautiful property — terrible management (loved valets and housekeeping, though). Most staff just overwhelmed and MIA. They need to completely rethink staffing, staff training, check in, restaurants… When you are paying north of 1K a night, the staff best be both sufficient and on it. We were definitely frustrated almost daily.

Farm is a wonderful restaurant! Great food and atmosphere. Service is to notch as well.

I was at the Carneros Resort and Spa for a professional event and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive. The space was clean, bright, and modern. Our room was right by the pool and had such a beautiful view of the vineyard.

Great fast casual brunch at boon fly. Service was friendly and food was great. Tried to see the resort but couldn't figure out the property layout.

Boon Fly Cafe is excellent. Green eggs and ham were a bit dry but corn beef hash was tender and juicy.

Really liked the exterior of the resort. Had a lot of games to pass the time. Service was great.

This place is fabulous! The service is extraordinary, with friendly staffers from the reception area to the restaurant, and housekeeping. We stayed in the "Poppy #3" cottage. It was lovely. Great bed, fireplace, Nepresso coffee maker, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages in the mini fridge. To top it all off, there's a quaint little back yard/deck area with a completely private outdoor shower! There is also a shared pool and hot tub at the resort, and you can order breakfast to eat poolside! Delightful! Such a relaxing and tranquil experience!

The restaurant, Farm, at Carneros is amazing. Definitely my top brunch spot. The service is outstanding and the food is amazing. They have no problem catering to my gluten free needs and we always wake away satisfied.

There 5/4 for evening of great music by Party of Three, in the open air Pavilion, 6-9pm. Xclnt service by Alex who eagerly and patiently advised me on choice of wine. Visited ladies room, clean and lovely as always. Had a wonderful time, as always, at the Summer music kick-off.

The private residences are very nice. They are spacious and luxurious. They were great for entertaining.

Wonderful Thursday evening music, the Dan Daniels Trio, in the open air but sheltered room. The Bev and Apps menu is too pricey for me and most of my friends. But service, atmosphere, etc is all too notch.

The staff has been one of the best hotel/resort staffs we have ever experienced. Defnlintiely coming back and bringing friends.

The area is gorgeous. I spent 3 nights here when visiting wineries and Sonoma Speedway, the room was spacious and secluded with real fire place, the pool area nice and big but nowhere to hide from the sun but the flimsy smallish umbrellas, no trees around. Good Spa. The main restaurant was always closed so we had to eat at the (great) cafe most of the time. We rented some bikes and explored the area, it was awesome. In general it was a good stay but the place is over rated.

We were so fortunate to stay in Copland 2. What a place, we didn't want to leave. Used the fireplace every night. The people that work there were wonderful. Food at the Boon Fly was good and Tito was fabulous. Great job everyone.

Came to carneros for a wedding. A beautiful place that Is built to be a large compound secluded from the rest of Napa. Service was impeccable and food at the Hilltop Dining Room was great for a wedding menu. Drinks were stiff, but bartenders don't know how to mix cocktails well like an old fashioned or Manhattan. Rooms are great in that they block off a section for you even with a few suites rented out. The indoor and outdoor showers were fun. Definitely worth a visit again.

Pleasant spot but with lots of road noise (the setting has always been a knock on this place). The last decade has allowed the landscaping to mature nicely, but the construction is beginning to show its age.

Okay this place is cute, and in a beautiful setting, but it's seriously a trailer park. It's genius what they've done! It's cozy and comforting but not quite sure it's worth what they charge.

The room amenities are wonderful. Dining at Farm is an opportunity that shouldn't be missed. In room dining was also wonderful. The staff here are very helpful and care about making your experience perfect.

I'll never stay there myself due to its prohibitive cost, but the outdoor seating area is pretty cool just for casually hanging about.

It was a very good experience. I loved the layout of the property didn't really feel like a Hotel/Inn felt like a Village. Food and Drinks were Awsome! Staff was Professional and Eager to assist. I will return and recommend!

We love everything about this place — atmosphere is elegant and chic, yet comfortable and relaxed. Must try their hand-crafted cocktails on the outdoor terrace overlooking Bocce Ball court. Their menu selection is phenomenal with choices like Lobster Risotto, Duck Breast, and Lamb. Food is beautifully displayed on the plate like a piece of art. If you really want the full Farm experience, treat yourself to the Dinner Tasting Menu with wine pairing. It's well worth it.

Simply the best. This is the closest to royalty I've ever experienced. Outdoor shower, outdoor bath, personal fireplace inside and outside, breakfast in the room every morning, and s'mores kits at night.

My wife and I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many 5 star resorts and hotels. The Caneros Inn is at the very top of our list. The property is beautiful, restaurants have great food and service and the cottages are fabulous. They thought of every detail with the outdoor gardens with tubs, fire pits and heaters above the twin chaise lounges. Great job Carneros, we will definitely be back.

One of my favorite vacations! This resort was amazing in every way. Excellent customer service, incredible atmosphere, and comfortable accommodations! If you're going to Napa, this is the place to stay. Can't wait to go back.

The grounds are spectacular! The vegetation, the cabins, the walkways, the pool, this is the definition of perfection. Our first couple of nights were at the Cabral cabins, with a garden view, the cabin is super small but the amazing french doors and flowing white curtains, wooden private deck and garden area totally make up for it. Unbelievably zen! The birds chirping and the lovely shade that is created by the trees is so relaxing for the soul. The restaurants are gorgeous, they have beautifully placed fire pits and the decor is straight out of a magazine. I had breakfast at the Boonfly, a triple stack of buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup, to die for. I don't eat meat but the Bacon Bloody Mary is famous and caught my eye! Not to mention the watermelon Mimosas, right on! And the service was impeccable. I would have given this resort 5 stars had there not been a couple obvious things not on point. We travel a lot, and especially in an area like this where everything is very spread out, the resort almost MUST have a private car that leaves the property: Taking its guests to dinner reservations, drop offs at nearby wineries. I'm not saying take guests to San Fran but a little flexibility would be nice. This isn't something too much to ask for as most if not all of the beautiful hotels we have stayed at, for the same price, have had a house car, or two, or three. The second observation that has kept me from giving this resort 5 stars is "genuine" kindness.
