I was just paying my rent. Our landlord is cool. Cute hotel. We rent an apartment from him.

It's a decent hotel for the price. Bathrooms are pretty small.

Perfect fit for my family. Swiss Holiday is situated close to town, Lake Siskiyou, Everitt Memorial Scenic highway up Mount Shasta, Castle Crags, Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway and Pauline Falls. Its just on the edge of town so you feel like you have the mountain view to yourself. Ours kids loved the huge shaded lawn surrounded by berries and bunnies… and of course the swimming pool and hot tub. The staff was knowledgeable about the area and were personable and gracious. This place was well kept and clean. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast and there is no dining room, though eating outside in the pleasant morning temps worked well.

Got a room at 11 pm on expedia. Pleasant place miseriable staff. Was dressing from a shower to have the main guy walk in the room without knocking. A very awkward moment. No apologies or anything, all attitude. We had dogs and we suspect he was making sure that the number was correct by barging in.

Small room but clean. Beds were comfortable.

The room was nice and well appointed. The bathroom fixtures (shower, sink, toilet) looked new. The breakfast had everything I would want, including a pet canary that sang to me while my bagel was toasting. The Wi-Fi was excellent.

Unpretentious, cozy and comfortable. I enjoyed the overnight stay at this place and the scenery is epic. Rooms are simple and clean with good water pressure in the bathroom. I have 2 suggestions to improve the provided service: upgrade the pay television service and get the birds out of the front desk area. The pay television had a horrible user interface and hardly any channels. The main lobby smelled like bird.

Awesome location and nice rooms. Hot tub was a definite plus with the snow at the base of mt shasta.

They started cleaning the room next door at 7 am, very noisily. Then, after getting 3 emails to tell me that I could request late check out (New Year's Day), I asked the manager and he rudely told me that he would charge me for half the day for staying an extra hour. Also, the hot tub did not open until 3pm, check out was at 11 am. Not going to be returning to this motel.

Beds are comfortable but we could hear the people upstairs, thank goodness it wasn't for long. No hot food on breakfest table only cold cereal. Nice for a quick stay.

Check in was quick and no frills. The room itself looked to have been recently renovated but you could tell that the structure is old. It was funny to see a CRT TV! The free breakfast is inedible except for fruit — unhealthy cereal/bread options so good thing it was free. Can't complain too much for the price but I couldn't sleep because of a funny smell! I woke up after a couple of hours of sleep because the smell was overpowering! The whole purpose of getting a hotel is so one can get some sleep so definitely won't be returning.

Good location and worthy for the tariff. Suited for a quick stay with nothing fancy. Breakfast is continental and ready to eat like cereals, yogurts, fruits. Don’t expected anything cooked available.

Delightful! (If you want high end luxury, go somewhere else) — If you LOVE the idea of staying at a casual, super-friendly family business that has long lawns (croquet, anyone? ), BBQ and plenty of picnic tables, hammocks, apple, cherry and peach trees with the fruit offered in bowls to guest on the picnic table outside the office — the one by the porch swing — a refreshing pool adjacent to the large hot tub/jacuzzi — even a community kitchen for those who want to whip up a deluxe breakfast before hitting the slopes — well, this place is for you! On the very southern end of town with easy access to freeway, under the blessed gaze of the sacred mountain. It is just the very best. Will DEFINITELY be our home-away from home in Mount Shastas…

We reserved a room on July 31 to stay at the Swiss Holiday Lodge on August 21. We went to see the eclipse in Madras, Oregon, and wanted to have a room halfway back home. We have two kids in elementary school. On the way back from Madras, there was very little cell phone reception even when there were multiple bars showing. We made it to the Swiss Holiday Lodge at 10:30 p. M. The office closed at 10:00 p. M. But there was a doorbell for after hours check-in. We rang the doorbell several times, and no one answered. I called the number for the hotel, and no one answered. I knocked on the door to the owner's residence, and no one answered. I tried ringing the doorbell again. After about a half hour, we left without knowing why the owner wouldn't even answer the bell to let us know what had happened. We tried to get another room, but everything at a reasonable price was sold out because so many other people were driving back from the eclipse. We had to drive all the way home and didn't get back until 4:00 a. M. I called this morning, and the manager said that they tried to call us at the wrong number. It seems that they mixed up a 7 with a 1 in our number. However, given the spotty cell phone coverage, I don't know that they would have reached us regardless. Apparently at 10:00 p. M. They gave our room away. What really makes this awful is that when we got there, a half hour after they gave our room away, they would not even open the door to tell us what they did.

Great location with fantastic views. Simple but clean rooms and very friendly staff. The grounds and pool are great!

Great place with jacuzzi, breakfast, heating, hot water, hammocks, an area for grilling food, free parking and very close to everything! Would go back again! :D.

This place is amazing. It is a bit of an older establishment, BUT from the moment I walked into my room I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable, had a coffee pot, mini fridge, recently remodeled bathrooms with plenty of towels and spectacular mountain views from my front and rear windows, and well taken care of grounds. Whether I was chilling in my room, out in one of their four hammocks, BBQing on the front lawn, or relaxing in the hot tub or pool, the ambiance was amazing. For me and my little vacation, this place was just what I needed and for a pretty good price as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn't need or want anything fancy and can suffice with the basics. I will definitely be back next time.

Great Value! Just a little out of town, maybe a mile. Place is clean comfortable and has all the amenities I was looking for and less than $100 per night. I will stay here again.

It is a warm place to rest, with beautiful panoramic view and nice attention. I recommend them!

Lovely, quiet place to stay that is clean and very well cared for. My husband, myself, and our friends were happy to stay in such a relaxing spot.

Perfect place to get ready for climbing Mt Shasta. Basic rooms at reasonable rates. Oh and an outdoor hot tub for post-climb muscles!
