Clean room. Relaxing. Nice staff.

DIRTY, NOISY, STINKY, and expensive. We ordered and paid for a King Jacuzzi Suite. We got a dirty room next to train tracks, an overpass, a mill, heavy smokers, and a small jacuzzi tub that was so filthy when you turned it on it was unusable. We thought we'd have a romantic trip, spending nights in the tub together. It is too tiny for two people. They should tell you that on the phone. They should tell you about the train as well. The first morning I found ear wigs in the tub. I found bugs on the bathroom floor every day. I didn't think we'd just be using the tub to wash our feet every 10 minutes because of the filthy hardwood floors. I got a rash and welts all over my face and neck the first night. I had to wrap my pillow in my hoodie to stop it. There's no extra towels. There's no extra toilet paper. Our door is broken on the top. It's cut wrong on the side so the heat and sound get in. The blinds are hard to shut. They fell off when I tried, and hurt my arm. And, last but not least, the front desk acts like they're going to die when you ask for something. They all seemed very unhappy to be here. I would highly UN-RECOMMEND.

The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was very nice. We did hear the train as stated in other reviews, but it went by quickly and never woke us up from our sleep. I chose this place because I prefer vinyl flooring in the room. It feels cleaner. ❤️

Very comfortable rooms, and amazing breakfast. Showers run well, and spacious. However, more breakfast options would be preferable.

Loved my room! King bed — pretty firm mattress and I thought I was going to hate it but I slept pretty good. The room had a little gray couch and the wood floors and wooden headboard looked really nice. You can tell they remodeled recently. I love seeing hotels modernize their facilities. There's nothing worse than old, ugly carpet floors and cheap-looking decor. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms at the Baymont are recently remodeled and furnished with contemporary furniture. They are very clean and the staff is beyond friendly making me feel right at home. My stay is 3 months. And it was very pleasurable, oh, breakfast is outstanding!

Great hotel for the price, clean, smoke free, and within driving distance of popular places. Only thing is Trains go by very close and at all hours of the night.

Also, many of the guests at the time we were there are obviously illiterate and inconsiderate. Since it clearly said, NO SMOKING! Every time we went out, there were at least 2 people SMOKING in the outside hallway. Very annoying! I noticed the owner of the hotel answered or commented on the review. I appreciate your concern and the time invested in commenting. The hotel is for me and my wife the place to stay when we go back to visit friends. It is obvious that the smoking chimneys are out of your control. I also, understand, smokers. Since, I am a an x-smoker. However, those of you clowns that smoke, the parking is huge and a short walk might do you good. Smoke all you want, just stay away at least 40 feet from the hotel.

Location was great. Right off the freeway. Rooms were clean and cozy. Had amenities like microwave and refrigerator. Service was great with no hassle. Enjoyed my stay.

Pretty basic, but they have great amenities! Sauna, steamroom and a tablet in the rooms that you can log into Netflix, Hulu and other great features. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great venue. But if you are a light sleeper, be aware that railroad tracks are across the street. And they are noisy. Outside of that, a great establishment.

First, let me point out the highlights… The Baymont Inn is super easy to find. It's just off the highway on the north side of Modesto. It's located near many places to eat at which is great since there isn't a restaurant on site. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Each room comes with a microwave and mini-fridge as well as your standard coffee/tea maker. If you are like me and travel with lots of electronics, they have plenty of electricity sockets for you to use. My room came with a loveseat and a lap-table so I could use my laptop if I chose to. I didn't though because it's located right next to the heater/AC unit. In your room there is a tablet where you can communicate with staff if you need anything and where they can send you messages. It's laid out in a friendly way so that even people who aren't tech savvy can use it. Each morning they have breakfast in the lobby and it is hands down one of the best ones as far as Inns are concerned. You can choose from eggs (scrambled or hard boiled), sausage links, Belgian waffles, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit and yogurt. There is apple juice and what tasted like Tang as well as coffee, tea and milk. In the afternoons, they provide coffee and freshly baked cookies. There are also apples of you so desire. Parking is free and at least where I was, it seemed to be plentiful. There is a small exercise room, pool and jacuzzi for those of you who need or require recreation.

This is a passing hotel but without the balls plugs the hotel itself is OK as the US Hotel of this range. Good sleeping, air conditioning, Wi-FI etc.
But you have a free option: the noise if you are nostalgic of the SNCF you'll like it. Because the train noise you have it collective (not to mention street noise) I was fortunate to have a rail side room, it's hell to sleep (yet I sleep easy) require a room away from the lane or plan plugs balls This is the only alternative.

Had a great stay, room really clean, staff including maids very nice. The breakfast is great! Would definately stay here again.

They failed to charge the advertised rate of $80 per night as booked and requested and charged $99 per night. Room was clean, exterior of hotel was clean. A little noisy from the train and freeway traffic.

Drove from Orange County to Santa Cruz I left at 12:00am to Santa Cruz with my mom. We picked up my husband and got to Santa Cruz around 7:30 since we made couple stops. From Santa Cruz we left to Modesto dropped her off and me and my husband stayed at this hotel. The receptionist was so nice to allow us to check in early. I we very tired and sleepy. Although the first room was had a broken toilet she was so professional to quickly change us rooms great work.

Friendly staff, upgrades look amazing. Our room wasn't noisy. The only thing that I would have to say is the beds could use a bit more of an upgrade. Our bed wasn't very comfortable, it was way too hard and one side dipped down a little, my husband and I both woke up with a stiff back. Also when we sat up in bed with our backs on the wall the bed kept sliding away from the wall and moving to get in or out of bed or even to turn to try to get comfortable the bed was a little noisy since it sat on a metal box. Other than the bed issue it was a really nice stay. Just wish the bed was more comfortable.

The room was attractive, clean and fairly comfortable. The staff was lovely and helpful. It's a non-smoking property, so when the first room smelled of smoke, they moved us right away. I don't mind trains, so the fact that the tracks are quite close wasn't a detriment for us. Great value for the price.

Nice clean, updated, modern with fat Wi-Fi. Great front desk staff and passable fitness room. Safe and no derelicts loitering around. Good place.

Very loud … Railway train through the room.

The room we were assigned at check-in smelled like cigarettes, so the wonderful lady at the front desk moved us to a different room (this one facing the pool/courtyard instead of the parking lot). Beds were as comfortable as you'd expect at this price point, room was clean. The pool was really cold so we never got in it but the hot tub was warm. Small selection at breakfast, but our favorite part of continental breakfasts are the waffles and they had two waffle makers so you never had to wait long for a free one.

Spacious room, 2 large beds. Clean and towels in sufficient number. Clean pool. The staff only speak English.

Employees are very nice, however the pool was very dirty. Lots of bugs and the bottom looked like it wasn't cleaned in a while. Lots of brown patches of accumulated dirt. We stayed in a king room with jetted tub. Tub wasnt clean when we turned on the jets, including ants coming out of them. Bed was extremely firm, so that depends on your tastes. Breakfast was typical of most chain hotels. Other than the tub housekeeping did a good job of cleaning. They have had issues with vandalism in the parking lot, and there were a several people just hanging out in cars.

Clean with nice updates. Great waffles and other breaky favorites. Pool and Wi-Fi round off a comfy visit.

Lovely room. However had no sleep due to continuous train noise and hooting of train horns. Nice breakfast and helpful staff.

It was satisfactory. We had a group that required 3 rooms. Room 110 had ac problems and we had to move to another. Other rooms were not cooling very well. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good.

This is a smoke free hotel, when we first came in the room the smell of weed smacked me in the face. Me an bf both was concerned about getting billed for the smell also the bathroom door was locked an no way to get it unlocked we even had the maintenance man try to fix it eventually he just said use your key an hold the handle to open it that it should open​, the sink drain is broke. The lamp didnt turn off it stayed on the switch was broken. My first experience here was way better however I don't like when staff lies an books you a more expensive room due to "availability" when a couple later that night got a cheaper room, that wasn't booked ahead of time either. However the rooms are pretty clean but found a couple thong tags behind the sink so house keeping might wanna clean all around the sink.

First time staying. Really nice looking outside and very nice Lobby. Blanca was the one who helped me out and the systems were acting up, so my reservation wasn't showing up. She was awesome through it all. Plus she was very pleasant to talk to and very nice to look at ;) Everything was great in my room. Very clean. My only issue was thee damn remote lol it did not want to change channels for me. Anytime I need a room again I will stay there again and recommend to my friends and anyone else :) Especially when Blanca is working :)

Really classy place; upscale hotel. Great pool, great friendly staff.

Baymont inn was recently remodeled and I definitely think that is a good thing. It must be under new management because the feeling of being here is different. In abgood way. The pillows are fluffier and more comfortable, the rooms are serviced more regularly and there are new TVs in the rooms and they are better equipped for your needs.

Nice hotel in nice amenities downside is definitely the trains but they do provide ear plugs.

Rooms looked new and very clean for a good price. They upgraded me to a 2 bed queen room for no extra price when I had a dog. There is a $20 non refundable pet fee. Breakfast was okay, more options than most!

Very nice, I spent a day in a single bed room with my gf and it was clean and you could see that the room was renovated. Had a great time!

Awesome but still cheap Motel. Clean room and beds with a nice Pool area in the middle of the complex. We had a really nice one night stay here on our way to San Francisco.

I stayed the night there and in the morning I found my car window broken and allot of my stuff was stolen. When I called the police they said that the same thing happend to 2 other cars. I dont suggest staying at this hotel. It might happen to you as well.

You are not going to find a hotel this pleasant for the price anywhere nearby. Newly remodeled rooms are beautiful and clean and the pool is great including the furniture around it. Good staff and a very nice day. I will use it every time I go through.
