Harbor Lite Lodge is clean, comfortable, and like a second home to us. We have been staying exclusively at Harbor Lite for over 20 years, and absolutely love this place.

Nice view and nice staff! Central location to the area.

This quaint lodge above the harbor was immaculate and the service delightful. For a reasonable stay, this is a definite on my list for business trips…

Our stay was wonderful. We had a room with the view of the harbor. The room was clean and nice, the bed was very comfortable. When we checked out my wife forgot her pillow. The staff at Harbor Lite shipped her pillow to our house. Now that's service. We will be staying there in the future.

Nice rooms. Very comfy beds. Nice breakfast in the morning to start your day. Nice old stair path down to the beach. Had a great stay here. Can't wait for my next trip.

This is the best hotel in the area. We got a room overlooking the harbor for a reasonable price. It has a microwave, fridge, and TV with an HDMI port. Their continental breakfast is pretty good — they will make you biscuits and gravy or pancakes! The only part that is annoying is not their fault — the fires nearby caused a power outage, so we have no TV and we cant charge our phones. Luckily I brought charges portable battery packs with cables to charge our phones.

Cozy, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Comfortable beds. I enjoyed having the view of the water and boats. Breakfast was a nice surprise with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, homemade oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea and juice. I would definitely stay here next time we're in the area.

Took our 12 year old Granddaughter here this past week! We enjoyed a 4 night stay, pvt. Balcony, beautiful view of Noyo Harbor. Close to everything! 2 Queens and kitchenette. Spacious and way better experience overall than the best room at Surf and Sand… for families. Thank, you Harbor Lite!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is some road and harbor noise but not too bad, the foghorn became part of the ambiance. The breakfast is simple but tasty. A very nice place for a getaway.

Great place to stay. My room overlooking the harbor even had a fridge and microwave. There is also a patio overlooking the harbor. We were able to listen to a live band down below playing at a nearby bar on Saturday night but they did stop quite early for people who go to bed early. I didn't notice the exact time but I'm pretty sure they stopped by 8 or 9 o'clock. The included Wi-Fi internet wasn't working… at all.

Great rooms at a good price. Breakfast was simple yet covered protein and carbs. Small fruit selection. View of the harbor was great.

Nice, clean hotel. We had a harborview room. It was fun to watch the seals okay and the fishing boats come in and go out. The hotel was a bargain anf the free p Breakfast was tasty. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't expect 5 star service from a 3 star hotel.

We booked this hotel seeing pictures. Even though it had mixed reviews, we wanted to take a chance as it near to places we wanted to visit. It was a surprise seeing the facilities inside room. The view from the patio was amazing. Best part is that each block has a door, which can b opened with key, so, no homeless people can come near your room. Less rating for breakfast variety and no elevator facility.

This is my favorite place to stay here in Fort Bragg and Mendocino area. This place never disapoints! It's close to everything and safe (even for families with children) and some rooms even have fire stoves! Friendly staff and will always be our ONLY spot we stay. Thank you!

Love this place! Great location friendy staff and the sauna is a plus! All the rooms have a balcony. Close to noyo harbor where they filmed some the movie overboard. The last room I got had a fireplace and brand new thick soft carpet. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love the Harbor Lite Lodge. My son enjoys watching the boats leave and enter the harbor. Beware that the Harbor Lite Lodge does have rooms without a view for sale on various travel websites that do not specify whether there is a view. Regardless, it is one of the best places to stay in Fort Bragg.

Other than the bed being slightly uncomfortable it was wonderful! Very nice breakfast in the morning! Lovely view behind the hotel!

I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Some of the hotels here in town are not awesome. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Love the location, right above the harbor. Very cool.

Adequate room would have preferred not to have spots on the carpet. Nice and quiet good view of the harbor. Patrick at the front desk was very helpful helping us plan our day. The continental breakfast was nice to have close — coffee was alright.

We didn't have reservation but was welcomed with positive attitude. Very friendly and professional staff. Very reasonable price. Very neat and clean room. Complimentary overflowing breakfast served by helpful staff. Clean and tidy food area. Even after we checked out, front desk staff was so helpful, he was willingly provided us the "things to do in Fort Bragg" and in Mendocino area. Such a hospitality. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

We really liked our stay here. The place definitely shows its age, but it's such a cool and unique structure, perched on the side of the harbor with great views. If you can secure a room with a view of the Harbor we highly suggest it. It's worth the extra few bucks. The room was clean and well maintained. There is easy access to the harbor below via a path with stairs. The included breakfast is also of fairly good quality. Apples, bananas, yogurt cups, hard boiled eggs, a biscuit with gravy or fresh made pancakes/oatmeal. It's better or on par with what is offered at most chains. You do hear the noise from vehicles driving on Highway 1, but it subsides later in the evening. Overall the location is great with easy access to the harbor, everything that Fort Bragg and Mendocino have to offer and an overall good deal.

The only complaint I have is that we asked for a handicap accessible room and that is not what we got. They put a bar that attaches to the shower wall and detaches when you're finished. The shower head didn't even come down off the wall. I would recommend to the staff and managerial position to at least go to Ace hardware and have maintenance install a shower head with a hose attachment. Other than that our stay was good. They have someone to cook your pancakes for you cold boiled eggs. Fresh and instant oatmeal. Keurig in the room. Orange juice. I fused water. Danish. It was a pretty good breakfast spread! They also have a Finnish sauna which was so nice on my ache muscles and like most hotels they have a work out room. The staff is nice. And they have a trail that goes from the hotel on top of the cliff all the way down to not harbor. It looks like they are in the process of repairing some of the steps. I was able to go down and up with the help of family members and a walking stick. The maid does not shake the sand out of the sheets so if you have kids that get sand everywhere… and for you fisherman there is even a fish cleaning station! I love the flowers that are planted on to the property it let's off such a fragrance that is so beautiful! And you can even eat your breakfast outside amount all of the foliage.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff was very kind, and accommodating when I arrived early to check in. Housekeeping did not quite have the room ready (I was early), but the staff was more than willing to allow me to check in early, had the room been ready. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was standard, with some very good home made oatmeal and pancakes offered. I recommend a room to the far east side of the hotel, away from the Highway 1 bridge, which can be a little noisy, but traffic dies down nicely in the evening. BEAUTIFUL view overlooking Noyo Harbor.

This was a nice place. They obviously try to update and care for the property. Not the nicest hotel, but much better than other options where we stayed at on Highway 1 or Route 101. I would have preferred air conditioning option, but I suspect it doesn't get warm enough to use it. Each room was nice and cool while we were there. Another plus is its located within a couple miles of Glass Beach. Located right on Highway 1 behind the Arco. I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Great room worth am awesome view, Good location. Comfy bed. Clean room. They have a very nice free breakfast also with waffles, fruit, eggs, bread, coffee, tea, oatmeal etc. Overall a great room and hotel.

Nice clean comfy room. Beautiful view. Had a crab dinner with friends in the lil courtyard. Dinner at the Wharf was fabulous and spendy. Will stay here again and recomnend to family and friends.

Quaint inn right at the mouth of the river where it meets the Pacific. Slightly noisy from traffic on the 1 and the fog horns, but great view and walking path. Friendly, helpful staff. Older rooms but comfortable and in good repair. Conveinent, comfortable place to stay for a business trip.

Motel style but not a bad motel, new TV and bed was comfy. Staff was very nice and view was beautiful in our room. But was kept up for hours that night hearing odd noises.

A bit dated, has the feel of a school dormitory with the corridors and heavy fire doors. Breakfast was pretty basic with pastries and waffles carrying an extra charge. Thin walls, so pray that you get considerate neighbours. But friendly staff and clean rooms so for the budget a decent hotel.

Great clean place overlooking Noyo Harbor. Balconies overlook Noyo Harbor. Staff is super friendly. Even made waffles with no charge at breakfast. AAA discount. I see January has reduced rates and there is a Crab & Wine Festival in town then. Did not have a reservation & asked availability of a room with a view. 1st time ever been given keys to rooms with 2 slightly different views and was given a choice of which one we wanted. Thank you Harbor Lite Lodge for everything!

We stayed here during a weekend mini-road-trip last summer and LOVED it! The rooms are nice and cozy, overlooking the harbor. Great breakfast. Definitely recommend, looking forward to a future stay :).

When I lived in Cloverdale (along Hwy. 101, inland from Fort Bragg) for about 10 years sometime ago, Fort Bragg and the Harbor Lite Lodge was one of my favorite get-aways. The rooms were rather basic as was the decor inside, but the rooms were well cared for and clean, I could count on cheerful help, and the location could not have been better! After staying there the first time and listening to the "lullabies" of seals down below in the harbor, I never had any desire to even try out other lodgings in Fort Bragg. There is so very much to see and do right in Fort Bragg, even though I originally stayed there because of its proximity to Mendocino — spent most awake hours in Mendocino on the first trip, but saved a considerable amount over staying in Mendocino at that time. On the trips when I spent my entire time in Fort Bragg, I was never at a loss for great places to eat either. I especially liked driving down below Harbor Lite Lodge to Silvers at the Wharf to enjoy an excellent, reasonably priced meal with close-up entertainment from the seals. Although I'm not a really big breakfast person, I do fondly remember the "egg specialty" restaurant on Main St. (Eggheads? ) with the Wizard of Oz theme! Folks can keep their huge cities, places like Fort Bragg, CA have everything I need to be comfy and happy!
