Vintage charm. Incredibly overpriced but worth it somehow. Nice to stay in the middle of Yosemite Valley in a historic hotel filled with rustic charm and a positive authentic vibe. Cottages are better than the rooms. Very relaxing after a long day of hiking.

Beautiful lodge resort in Yosemite National Park. Rooms are well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The restaurant had a nice variety of delicious meals with a wait staff that was gracious and knowledgeable. The concierge and front desk staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The pool was crystal clear and invigorating (But not too cold! ). The only thing that I would change is that the height of the chairs in the bar area do not always match the height of the tables — so that you are always too low or too high as you sit.

Very special place that have lunch! Felt like VIP. Sat n the alcoholic be and could view the rock cliffs.

Great service. Really friendly and helpful. Enjoyed dinner in the dining room — a really special experience. Renting bikes was a bonus, cycled all around the valley and even met a brown bear crossing our path. Really restful night’s sleep and great breakfast. What more can you ask for?

Great experience for people with money to literally burn. We paid something like $500/night for a room without in-room AC (really, without AC period). Great property. Great restaurant. In short, like Lake Tahoe, only rich people should really come here to say they did it, not because it's so fantastic in itself.

Wonderful Dinner! Dave was our waiter for my family including my husband and 2 sons. He was awesome! Luis, helped serving us as well, and was delightful to talk to about the valley and hikes. We were early and fortunate to sit at the Queen's table which gave us a gorgeous 180° view. Everything we ate was delicious! I highly recommend the following: crab cake and calimari appetizers, French onion soup and Majestic house salad, Pasta al Pomodoro, Prime Rib (my husband and son split this), and Norway salmon. The menu is seasonal so not all dishes may be available everyday. Desserts were delicious as well. Make your reservations early! The Majestic Yosemite Hotel dining room is not to be missed!

This place and its surroundings are amazing, but the extremely high prices on everything suck a lot of joy out of the experience. There's some room renovations going on right now as well, so we were awakened at 6:30 a. M. By inconsiderate construction crews. Ordinarily I wouldn't have been bothered too much, but for what the room cost, I would have expected a little more attention to details like that.

Every time my family and I come to Yosemite we always stop to eat at the Ahwahnee hotel now Majestic. Was greatly disappointed by the quality of food that was served. I'm the type of person that doesn't mind waiting or paying the cost of good food, but when you wait over an hour to have meals that were tasteless and overpriced, then there's a problem. Everyone who ordered a burger at our table had their bacon missing and the burgers were completely overcooked and charred to bits. Half our tables fries were under cooked and the other half was overcooked. I personally ordered the pesto alfredo and was disappointed by my tasteless meal on top of the $5 extra I paid for chicken to only have little bits of it on my plate, which looked more like a store bought pre packaged cut chicken then the free range chicken they advertise. Our waitress never came back to our table for us to tell her some of the fries had been undercooked. The only time she came back was to give us dessert menus, which we gladly declined. When we made a remark about the wait of the food to the drinks server he said that the chef was having trouble that although the place was half empty when we were seated he stated the past two days had been really busy and overwhelming for the chef. Sounded to me like there was one person cooking for all tables. Sounds like they need more staff in the kitchen to accomodate their busy restaurant.

Had dinner at the Majestic the other evening. It was a late dinner with about 13 family members. The pricing on the menu was a bit steep, but the food smelled great. I ordered a New York steak, medium rare was more like medium. Had to salt and pepper the steak (had no flavor). My sister ordered the Bass. It was about a 3oz portion. So small I thought it was a joke. It was more like and appetizer. It's unfortunate, but it appears the new management is saving cost and the expense of a previously great reputation. Would not recommend.

My husband and I decided to grab a late lunch/early dinner and sit outside to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view on Wednesday. When it came time to order we were told that there were selections on the menu that were no longer available. Very disappointed because we had been there before (when Ahwahnee) and it was fabulous. We both ordered a sandwich which advertised House made potato chips. The sandwich arrived and it had Ruffles on the plate. We also ordered the bruschetta which was tasteless. It seems that under the new ownership there is not a lot of pride in food. For $73.00 it should have been much better. PS: the glasses of house wine at $11.50 per glass were not worth the price either.
