It really is a lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and inviting. The room that we are staying in is very clean, spacious and modern. I don't have a negative thing to say. Wonderful stay.

This has to be the best resort in town. Fantastic customer service and very clean rooms. I have stayed in a lot of places and this has to be one of the best I have been in in a long time. Close to everything including a free shuttle to take you anywhere you want to go in town from 6 a. M. To 11 p. M. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic.

Wonderful hotel, and it is pet friendly. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Indoor parking. Great food.

Had a great stay here. The room was nice and large and clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. My only complaint was the bell man would not let me take my own luggage to my room, I always like to do it myself and after he argued with me that it's company policy I let him do it. Other than that I would definitely stay here again anytime.

Best location across the street from the village. Best hotel in the area. Great jacuzzi and pool year round!

Local. Been going to Whitebark since 2009. The new menu sucks. No more bar menu, no more sushi. $35 meat entrees with no sides and a slimmed down starter menu has essentially priced me out. Nice one!

Excellent location and accommodations. We stayed in a one bedroom with a kitchenette, which was really convenient for having quick and healthy breakfast and snacks. Enjoyed the amenities and proximity to the gondola. Friendly and helpful staff were great too. My only complaint would be that the rooms are somewhat dim, which made it harder to do any reading not on an electronic device. (This affected about 1 hour of our 3 day stay). Would definitely stay here again.

Just stayed here three nights. Good location and friendly staff. Rooms are small with outdated technology in them. They wouldn’t give a courtesy shuttle ride to the Olympic trials at Main lodge. Housekeeping skipped my room 2 days in a row. And food in the restaurant not great. Ordered an egg white omelette that was a greasy mess that I had to send back. Wish there was a better place to stay up here.

Wonderful hotel. Excellent, helpful staff. Extraordinarily well stocked kitchenette with knives, peelers, pots/pans, blender, kettle, salt/pepper mill, dishwasher, microwave, stove, and refrigerator. Overall a great hotel experience.

Spent two nights here, two different room types. Ended our stay with the 2 bedroom luxury suite. Had a small issue with the heating not working in a second bedroom but Westin was eager to resolve the issue for us. They offered to extended our stay which worked out nicely for us. Great amenities and one of the nicer hotels in Mammoth.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was great. Good size, very clean, please decor and of course, great beds and showers that Westin is know for. The our suite had a full kitchen and 6 people dining table. Great for our 3 generation party of 6. The restaurant had a great breakfast menu (not buffet). Reasonably priced for and up class hotel too.

Wonderful stay with a comfortable room. The kitchenette was very convenient and we appreciated that the outdoor pool is heated (and 2 hot tubs! ). Location was great with easy access to most everything. Room was clean. Service was helpful and friendly. I'd stay here again — — great all the way around.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is all very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a suite that comfortably fit 5 people on two beds and a sofa bed. There was two bathrooms and a kitchen. One of the bathrooms was in a master bedroom. The hotel is within walking distance of a plaza with a restaurants and shopping. They also provide a free shuttle to certain places around Mammoth. The only issue I had was that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow and the fitness center is quite small.

Received an upgrade to a one bedroom suite on the top floor. Amazing views of the mountains. Room was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location next to the Village. Would definitely stay again.

My favorite hotel, period! The Westin is probably the nicest hotel in Mammoth. It is located right next to the Village where all the stores, restaurants, etc. Are located and nearby the gondola. The hotel itself is very modern and clean, and the pool and spa are awesome, especially on a cold day. Views from the rooms on any side of the hotel are great, and ours came with a small kitchen space, which we needed. Their staff are very professional and helpful, and the parking is conveniently located in the underground lot. If you are willing to pay extra for the Westin hotel in Mammoth, you will not be disappointed!

Our stay at the Monache was great. There was a bit of a rough start when changing the reservation from 5 days to 4 days increased the room rate; we had not been told in advance that 5 days got a lower rate, and when we made the change we were given 2 higher rates by two different people, one which was $80 a night more! We were able to speak to the manager, and he took care of things immediately. The original rate was restored, and when we arrived for our stay, he had arranged for an upgrade for our room. We love the hotel, and we really appreciated his help.

Service is amazing. The room is very modern and cozy, with a mountain lodge feel. The air conditioner is the perfect temperature, and it allowed me to sleep perfectly. I went to the restaurant inside the hotel, and I must say, I'm shocked, but not in a good way. I ordered their paparselle pasta, and while it did taste amazing, the portion was tiny. Probably less than 10 bites of pasta for 22 dollars. So if you come here, I recommend saving your money and eating at some of the nearby restaurants instead of inside the hotel. Other than that, I would say I'm very impressed.

Very upset about my experience. Wanted to check in early and told us it could maybe be possible. They told us they would call us when the room was ready. 230 came around and nothing. I went to check on at 250 since check in time was at 3 and they told us that it could be ready even after 3pm. I was patient and 330 came around and I called the 800 number to see if I can cancel and they said it was unnaceptable to go past the check in time and to speak to a manager. So I went to front desk and the person at the desk said oh your room is ready and it was 345. I got upset because we had been waiting in the lobby all this time. We then spoke to the manager and he gave us complimentary breakfast the next day. It is a beautiful hotel but it should be on time since your rate is from 3 to noon not 4 to noon, especially when you have children dying to go in the pool.

Super cute. The restaurant is very good. Recommended Taco night.

Great Hotel. First class. Well kept. Center of Everything. Nicest place in the area to stay. Get a high floor for killer views.

Very nice hotel in Mammoth lake with heated pool, beautiful room. The price is quite high but this can be justified.

People are assholes though.

From the moment we walked into the hotel at 10pm, tired from a long drive from Yosemite, we were greeted with champagne and fun joking and smiles from the staff. We opened the door to the 2 bedroom suite with a fireplace and full kitchen and were blown away. The room was spotless, Michael went over everything with us like how to use the fireplace and open the balcony doors. Yes, two balconies! Two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a clean, stocked kitchen, plenty of coffee, and real cream, not the powdered stuff. The beds were really comfortable, including the pull out that my teenagers slept on. They stocked our car with water and always had it to us really fast (valet). I have not one complaint. The room was serviced every day with fresh towels and items. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious and beautiful. Wait staff was friendly and explained the menu well. If you travel to Mammoth Lakes, stay here!

Beautiful location. It's a quint Westin. Friendly staff. Clean room. We plan on coming back during winter for skiing.

Clean good view and we got a very late check out. I would stay here again.

Crowded Westin, many rooms feel small. Staff is young and not very 'Westin Grade'. As a resort, they don't treat Platinum SPG members with appropriate hospitality. The restaurant is just okay. It is a nice location, near the ski village.

The staff and the service they provided at this Westin was impeccable. The food at the restaurant on site was delicious, not to mention they have some pretty fun treats on their room service menu. I also highly recommend making a point to get to the pool/hot tub after a long day outdoors! :)

I got to say its the best Hotel in Mammoth! The Westin is one of the best hotels at Mammoth Lakes. Beautiful modern studio, 1-BR and 2-BR rooms with a beautiful pool and jacuzzi for relaxation. It's perfectly situated at Mammoth Village. The hotel is pet friendly, offers free valet, staff is very friendly, and is in a really convenient location for mammoth (right by the slopes! =) ) Our room was very spacious, we had our own mini-living room, as well as a mini bed by the window that we could lay on! The only thing I wish they had is a bigger / more spacious spa (maybe even in-room options? ) for a day after hitting the slopes. We loved our stay here and will definitely consider this our top choice when returning to Mammoth! Everything was perfect about this hotel! I would live here if I could! Well worth the cost! I love to stay here here again and again.

Definitely not what you would expect at this price range. Before arriving at this hotel I sent very specific instructions, nobody ever responded to my request via phone or email. Than, upon entering our room we discovered our bathroom sink completely clogged, I call downstairs and was assured it will be taken care of, we came back to the room 5 hours (! ) later, and nothing has been done. I called again, and tell them that we were gone all day and now we can not even wash our hands! Front desk tells me that they have a record of my morning call, but it was low priority! 20 min later plumber shows up, goes in the bathroom and starts the repair. He was fixing it for about an hour. During that time our family just sat there, we could not use toilet, showers or even wash hands. Another note, the couch in our living room has a horrible smell. Upscale hotels usually invest in basic upholstery cleaning once in a while.

Very nice people, but a bit lacking in the basic amenities. For ex, no ice machines on the first, second, third, or fourth floors — even the most rank motels have ice machines.

Westin is lovely. We enjoyed the fireplace, sofa bed, window lounge seat, hot tubs, heated pool, cosy robes, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, walk to restaurants and stores. Walk to the crepe place (1st shop down the stairs in village area) for breakfast, brunch, snack or supper. No real upgrades for platinum spg members and decline the free food. The restaurant food is great.
