This place is a must stay especially during snowboarding season. Definitely coming back during the winter. Very nice place.

Dirty dishwasher doesn't work you have to hand wash everything no air conditioning no fan bugs.

Such a beautiful hotel. Plenty to do without leaving the property.

Amazing place to stay next to the village! Great pools/hot tubs and great access to the gondola.

Great time, good heather in the room. The kitchen is great for a family with all the staff needed to make meal.

Clean and comfortable place. Don't rely on the swamp cooler to keep you cool, just crack the window open.

The best place to stay in Mammoth. Super friendly staff. Excellent rooms. Onsite facilities are surely 4 star. Wonderful experience for a family of 6. Pool and hot tub are not to be missed.

Good location and very walkable. The unit isn't really built for summer lodging. A stand alone AC unit pushes cooler air in one room. That does nothing for any other room unless all does are kept open at all times and fans are used. Service was good. Building was well thought, but doors and escaltors were finicky. Want to go up? That button doesn't work. Press down to call elevator. Want in an exterior door? Don't stand anywhere near it. That part seemed odd.

This place is awesome! Everything is here! You really dont have to go far to go to dinner, shops, the amenities are great, the rooms are like little apartments with kitchen, living room, etc. And if you want to go mountain biking you can rent bikes within the village and take the shuttle within a few feet distance. Everything is centralized. Love it!

The village lodge is basically in the middle of Mammoth. Everything you could want is a short walk, bike, or drive away. Nearby food is great and we always enjoy our trips here.

All the staff is awesome. Very kind and courteous. Always willing to help you to have the best experience during your stay. The rooms are huge and clean.

I honestly do not know what these people who left very bad reviews were smoking, but everyone here is so nice. They were very helpful. From our dinning options, to where to go, fishing and sightseeing. So many friendly and polite works, too many names to remember. I will definitely come back.

Due to inclement weather, I called to cancel a reservation within the 2-day cancellation window for summer reservations. The customer service rep informed me that the Village Lodge interprets their cancellation policy as (effectively) a 3-day cancellation window, meaning that I would be unable to cancel. This is inconsistent with their clearly spelled out cancellation policy, it is unfair, and it is a bad business practice. I will not be staying here again.

Decent accommodations and service, pretty dated though. Don't bring more than one car or you will have to park a few blocks away for 20 bucks a night.

Great place to stay if you like being in the center and close to shops restaurants etc. They comped our upgrade to a 1 bedroom which was pretty cool, but the 5 stars really goes to the hotel itself. Fire pit, heated Jacuzzi, room was fully furnished and kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and dishware, bathroom was spacious and balcony was perfect. The customer aerv uce at the hotel was phenomenal! So glad we chose to stay here for this trip.

Beautiful, cabin like rooms with full kitchens, and great service in the heart of the village. Was here for 4 days and did not once have to get my car out. Everything is here. From the gondolas taking you Canyon Lodge, to free buses taking you to main, and a many restaurants, stores, and even a grocer within walking distance. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

We visited after the gondola was closed so we didn't get the luxury of riding that which is within walking distance. The location is ideal walking distance to the Mammoth Brewery, Clocktower, Toomeys and other shopping and Hangouts. The Village Lodge was clean and inviting for that one of a kind Vacation experience. The staff was friendly and very helpful with recommendations on what sites to see. We didn't see the rooms but had a few drinks at the bar. The public transportation is free and the trolley was very cool. Overall the experience was worth the price. If you're looking for a spot in the heart of Mammoth, this is the place to go.

Its been our winter home away from home for the last 4 years. I highly recommend staying at The Village Lodge because of the great amenities (hot tubs, heated pool, gym, daily housekeeping) and the proximity to the lifts & village shuttle.

A beautiful location with shopping and dining galor. Fire pits around the area help you stay warm and the grounds are spotless.

The service tends to be subpar and there are better options throughout the mountain for the same or better price (including AirBnB options). Since the property is managed by Mammoth Mountain Resort, their main focus is not on hotel management, thus, the hospitality service can use Improvement. Seems like the investors went cheap on building the property as there is no insulation or adequate sound proof walls and windows. Can often get quite noisy. However, if you are looking for a prime location and are a deep sleeper and don't mind noise from the upstairs, outside your room, or in the main village, this is the place to be.

This place is beautiful in winter covered snow. It has amazing food places and great stores to shop local or branded items.

The rooms are large and very comfortable. It has its rustic style of a chalet up to the smallest details. At night we used the fire pit to make s'mores!

The ultimate luxury and convenience at Mammoth. Great food steps away, so many choices too few nights. Gondola to the slopes also a few steps away. Yes it is pricey, but you deserve it.

The village was nice. Has all the local food and shops and also the franchise ones, too. I went here for a late night drink at the bar. Good atmosphere.

The Villa Lodge is ideally placed right by a gondola which takes you directly to Canyon Lodge. The Village has great places to eat. If you plan to come up to skip this is a great location. The Lodge itself has a small fitness center, pool, and spa.

Really close to everything (restauraunts and near the bus station). Rooms were very cozy and roomy and had a modern feel but still felt like a home. The management was quick to response about our family concerns and the lodge did not hold us back from enjoying our time!

The village is a perfect place to get away during the holidays. There's a shopping center below the lodge and a gondola that takes you straight to the slope. I highly recommend staying here.

The location is nice, but the shopping in the area seems to be dying a bit. I also remember there being more games and entertainment there before which helped liven up the place a bit. Still fun to go to, just a little bland compared to other shopping centers.

Great atmosphere, enjoyed the tree lighting and live band/Dj, dog friendly, service was prompt and courtious. Surrounded by restaurants and businesses that are short walking distances… only lacking a grocery store… besides that everything was great and enjoyable…

I wish I could give stars to the customer service only because it would have been 5 Stars. The prices, like everything in mammoth, are high and I wish I could say it was worth it. The hotel is nice, the room was nice. The service we received was excellent, the staff here is amazing. I wish they would update the hotel itself. It looks a little worn, the paint and carpet and blinds. For the costs I feel like it should have been excellent. I would recommend & will definitely stay again.

We had considered staying here when planning our trip to Mammoth Lakes, but ended up choosing their sister property at Juniper Springs. We turned out VERY happy with our choice, but still wanted to see if Village Lodge was as elegant as the pictures online, so we dropped by for a visit. The lobby is stunningly gorgeous, and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable in helping us choose a great spot for dinner (which wasn't easy, since many restaurants were closed for the fall "shoulder season"). If you're the night-life type, or want to be able to have all the town's amenities within walking distance, this is definitely the place for you! Just be aware that the pool and hot tubs are right in the heart of all that hustle and bustle… and many of the rooms overlook the shops and restaurants of Mammoth Village, where music plays well into the evening. If you're looking for a relaxing, private soak in the hot tub after a day on the trails, or a peaceful morning coffee on your balcony overlooking the tranquility of the surrounding mountains, this is probably not your best bet.

Incredibly nice hotel, everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. My only regret is that I didn't stay more nights. The rooms have fantastic beds, and there was a couch in the living room that I wish I could have taken home with me. The view from the rooms is fantastic, and the pool area was perfect. At night, they had a bonfire going outside. I would stay at this hotel again.

The Village Lodge Mammoth is as good or better then any other lodging in the village. Being a condo, it has all the amenities of home. Every time we've stayed there the rooms have been spotless and very comfortable. You get a full kitchen with dishwasher and all the plates and flatware Etc that you would need. The staff is very helpful whenever we had a question or a problem. I highly recommend them.

Ended up here on our honeymoon by accident (our original lodgings got caught up in a forest fire). The rooms are beautiful with spacious balconies, and the hot tubs in the courtyard area were perfect for an evening soak. Would love to visit again!

Village lodge is in The Village in Mammoth. It has underground parking to ensure convenience. The lobbies, the flooring in hallways very clean. The security is great with excess into the garage or building with your room card. The rooms are excellent. Modern, roomy, clean, great technology, excellent heating. Modern bathrooms with everything you need. Oversized king bed could sleep 3. Bathrooms white and clean waiting for you. An outstanding experience.

I stayed in a three bedroom condo with my family of four. Communication and check in was a breeze. The air conditioning is a bit weak, but we are here during an unusual heat wave, so I understand that. The accommodations are great, but could use a refresh. I'd stay here again.

Great location right in the center of the village, close to many shops and restaurants. The room was great, lovely 2 bedroom condo. We will plan on staying here again the next time we visit Mammoth.

It's definitely one of the best lodges here in Mammoth. Rooms are very spacious, clean, and well-kept. The staff are also very accommodating. Will definitely go back I had the chance.

I was a little disappointed in the rooms. The listing for the two bedroom suite did not indicate one of them was a bunk bed. Not a great fit for two adults. The 'resort' is quite nice, although the stores do seem to close earlier than I would expect. Food is a bit more expensive then what I'm used to, but this is my first trip to California.

I came up here with my roommate and his dad and his girlfriend for a weekend ski trip. This place is beautiful. Let me start off with how great the staff is. When we checked in, we were helped by a woman, I forgot her name, but I do remember her name tag also said black-diamond award for customer service. Man, she was super helpful! Very knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of information in regards to where the lockers were, where the parking was, where the gondolas were, etc. But she delivered it in perfect fashion. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in a 2 room suite with a kitchen and a sofa-bed. Place was beautiful. The best part about the lodge is that it's located right next to the gondola and several incredible restaurants. I am certainly going to come back here again.

We were upgraded to a one bedroom which was great but… We were a little disappointed. The carpet was dirty and stained, one of the kitchen cupboard doors was hanging from one hinge, the blinds on the patio door didn't work, and bathroom tile/grout was dirty. Also it was extremely warm in the room even though we didn't have any heat on. We had to use the air conditioner when it was only 40 degrees outside. We had to request that our room be made up and new towels given. However, The lobby was nice and the staff was very friendly. Access to the village was great and the parking garage was very convenient. All in all it was okay.

Village is nice. Great atmosphere, needs more shops. Campo is excellent for a delicious meal.

Came here to watch their 4th of July Fireworks which they had on both the 2nd and 3rd along with DJs and other events. It wax super crowded so we grabbed a drink at the Mexican restaurant. (Get a specialty cocktail which are great, as the house margarita was just ok). But when the fireworks finally started they were AWESOME! I've never sent fireworks that felt so close and you could smell them, tons of "oohs" and "ahhs" from the crowd. The have tons of cute shops there along with some bars and restaurants. (Skip the Tiki Bar it was just ok)

The service @ Gomez was intermediate at best. We went at 2pm on Wed, so there were very few patrons. I had to ask for service after sitting idle for 15+ minutes. However, food was good.

Really cool, it was beautiful. Not only the hotel but also the stuff around the hotel. The cleaning staff waked us up 2 times in the morning at 8:30. But why?! It was annoying.

The Lodge is beautiful, but the staff have to be some of the most unhelpful and least considerate of anywhere we have stayed.

Very nice place ;quiet village outside with many restaurants ; my family was really happy in this place so many places to go an the people at reception so kind and helpful! definitely we are coming back again.

Very nice passage in a spacious and comfortable apartment. The entire property is well organized, with a nice large central pool.

Bought a Chocolate Chip Marble loaf from Starbucks that was overcooked in the microwave. I returned it and you'd thought I was at fault. I told the cashier that the loaf was stale, and she said "stale? " as if it couldn't possibly be true. I just want a credit. I handed her my credit card. She jerked it out of my hand. I signed the receipt. She didn't say we're sorry, just a glare fired my way. Like I wanted to walk all the way back to Starbucks.

Cool little village that is expanding each year. I expected the village to be larger than it is. It's maybe a tenth the size of whistler village. Cool for a California mountain resort.

Great place to stay for convienance to everything. The rooms are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. I will say though that the daily resort fee is a rip off. $20 per day for services that were sub par. Wireless internet didn't work, and the wired was barely at dial-up speed.

I've stayed here twice — once in the summer, once in the winter. Rates are higher in the winter. The condos are fully furnished, with full kitchen, and fairly spacious. In a 1 bedroom, you could put 2 people in the bedroom, 2 on the pull-out couch, and 2 on an air mattress, and split the cost 6 ways. The full kitchen means you can cook and not have to pay to eat-out. The ski lift is on-site, couldn't be more convenient! Wi-Fi doesn't appear to be free (? ). Underground parking included. My only complaint is the noise from the courtyard/shopping area — I had to call the front desk at 2am to have a loud group of drunk people escorted back to their rooms.
