Front desk agents were so incredibly nice at check-in. One of the reasons, I always stay with Marriott.

Good size rooms with kitchen.

The whole floor smelled of smoke, and then after we checked out we found out there was a $300 charge for "Smoke Free Cleaning". When I called the front desk, he said it was because we smoked and they wouldn't charge us "unless there was strong evidence". Then he said to call back tomorrow to talk to the manager and hung up. We travel with our young child, we're obviously not going to be smoking!

The staff here is kind of stuck up and of course they blame Covid for their lack of empathy and customer service I kind of think this place is like a La Quinta… wait that’s an insult to La Quinta because they’ve increased and improved their customer service.

Traveling for work. Glad we found this hotel! Very very clean, friendly staff whom are very helpful! Good prices as well!

I arrived way before check in but needed to find a quiet place for a telecom. Tiffany, at the front desk, was so helpful. She took my phone number and texted me when a room became available. It was so helpful that she was able to find an available room so that I could make my meeting. Also, can't beat the walkable, safe area for location. The prices in the lounge/restaurant area are very reasonable and lots of choices if wanting to stay in.

NICE ROOMS, BUT: While most everything was what we expected from a Courtyard by Marriott hotel, there were 2 big reasons for them not getting a 5-Star from me. Both having to do with my medical conditions. My stay was on Friday, August 3rd, when the weather was in the high 90's. 1) The in-room fridge was OFF when we arrived & the room was nearly 80° inside. This may not mean much to most, but for an insulin dependent diabetic it can spell BIG trouble. Thankfully the in-room a/c unit cooled the room quickly, but not before my blood sugar had already crashed from 107 down to 54 from the unexpected heat. The fridge took a good couple of hours to get cold & does NOT have any freezer compartment, which would have ruined my insulin supply had I not traveled with my insulated insulin cooler. Once the fridge had become cold enough, we transferred my insulin into the fridge & Hubby had them put my insulin cooler's freezer packs in the hotel's freezer for saving my insulin on Saturday. The staff was friendly & helpful about it with Hubby. 2) The mattresses are quite firm. I'm sure there are many people who would love this. But, for someone with both scoliosis & osteoarthritis, it only makes for a horribly sleepless night of tossing & turning from pain for me. This would be fabulously great place to stay for a perfectly healthy person. But, I won't be returning next year when I visit Pasadena again for CatCon.

A chic hotel with all the amenities!

Our company sends us down to LA every two years, and always chooses the Courtyard for us to stay at. I just love the place. The staff are friendly and competent, the lobby-bar ladies (two, accented golden girls) are just the best, the omelette guy (Henry, I think? ) is amazing, and the food is killer! The rooms are comfortable, the Wi-Fi is free and fast, there's a well-kept pool… I doubt that I'll ever have cause to stay in Pasadena for personal reasons, but I genuinely look forward to staying here when work sends me down! Afterthought: The angular interior design in the lobby is just great. I love it. Just saying.

Friendly, attentive staff. Tiffany was especially fantastic to work with through the check-in process. We arrived to a very clean, comfortable room. After spending most of our day in the sweltering heat, it was so nice to enter a nice, cool room overlooking a very crisp, inviting pool. We will definitely come back.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool. Nice place to relax. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Great food on the room service menu. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Older but kept up well.

Meeting room suited our purpose and was comfortable. Food and beverages were well done and updated throughout the day. Things that could be improved: 1. The White board we were setting to project on resulted in a less than clear image and should be reviewed for image viewing quality. 2. The bathrooms were not quite up to the standard I expected, with missing laminate on stall doors. Clean, but not sparkling.

Top notch mid priced hotel located in downtown Pasadena. The hotel is very nicely appointed both in the lobby and the rooms. The bistro did an outstanding job for breakfast. The gym offers a great way to maintain your fitness routine The location is very convenient to several local restaurants for dinner. Easy walk to shopping and local attractions.

It's in central Pasadena good service. The rooms are out dated. Things are old which make them look dirty. Also mich too expensive for this low quality of rooms.

We stayed at the hotel while attending the Taylor Swift Reputation concert at the Rose Bowl. This hotel went over the top for the fans. In the lobby there was a photo booth to make collages, a DJ playing Taylor Swift music, and chocolate chip cookies enclosed with an album cover sticker and… Everything was complimentary,! This made our stay energized and memorable. Thank You!

Location is centrally located in Old Town Pasadena. Rooms are clean and provide great views of the city. Pool area is serene and relaxing. Employees always greet you and you'll feel right at home.

Nice rooms, nice staff. It would be nice if they had a breakfast buffet or at least the option for breakfast room service. Also, there is heating/cooling in the room but no thermostat so you can't just set a temperature.

This hotel is nice. Mini fridge and microwaves are in the rooms. The fitness center is very small and leaves much to be desired, but the pool is very nice. Room service served until 10 pm. No complimentary breakfast. I left my pajama bottoms in the bed sheets one morning inadvertently and the cleaning staff must have scooped them up when they changed the sheets, because they are now missing. I still don't have them and I left the hotel this morning. They said they will send them to me IF they find them. So besides this disappointment, I am satisfied with the establishment.

The service here is amazing. I called ahead of time to try and get a room with a balcony but when I checked in there where none avaible. But they upgraded my room to make up for it. The breakfast bar had so many choices, so it wasn't easy to figure out what I wanted. I did go with the omelet station and the cook made my omelet just the way I wanted it. The quality of the food is way above what I expected. So to anyone traveling in or near Pasadena I highly recommend stay here you will not be dissapointed!

This place does not have a smoking section specifically for smokers, so you have to smoke outside where there is a possibility of being mugged Because there are 2 alleyways which house some unsavory Characters. The rooms are decently clean (I did how expect it to be much cleaner at the price). The shower did not drain so you the way you got a bath. The workers that brought extra stuff to you would not bring the amount asked for. It took 6 phone calls to finally get a decent amount except for the fact that I have 36" long hair and need a lot of shampoo and conditioner to clean it. The workers were very rude, and the rooms bedding was made of very thin cloth (Almost like paper) So it was very hard to get warm when I went to sleep. When I couldn't sleep I got up and called and asked for another blanket, and they brought me a blanket that was very old, very scratchy, and just should not have been given to a customer. I could go on all day about the negatives of this establishment but I do believe that what I have said will show you the type of establishment this is.

I enjoyed my stay until I was kicked out of my room an hour early than the hotel’s regulated check-out time. I even called in the morning when I first work up to confirm check out, then was still kicked out shortly after. Reception at front didn’t seem to care when I informed them of this. It was very uncomfortable to be told to leave you room immediately when you’re half away in your pajamas and things unpacked. I felt rushed and was concerned that I would be charged extra if I had not left immediately per housekeeping’s orders. I do not plan to stay here again. PS there are more affordable options nearby.

This is a pretty large courtyard property located in a very convenient location in old Town Pasadena. The staff I encountered were top notch and that definitely would influence my decision to stay here again. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this property if you have to be in LA a lot as given California's legendary traffic you will be spending a decent amount of time on the road. If you don't have to go down there often then you should definitely stay here. Not only is the property decent there is a lot of convenient shopping and dining many as the hotel is located really close to the main area of Pasadena that has that stuff.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. Rooms are always very clean, service is friendly, breakfast is quick and pretty good. Recommend for business trips. Only wish was a better fitness room.

It has its ups and downs. The rooms are clean and tidy. They do not offer complimentary breakfast. You have to pay for parking. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Great location in old town Pasadena.

I attended an Online Trading Academy (OTA) seminar at the Pasadena Courtyard Marriott. I have never been there so I had no idea what to expect. As I drove up, the attendant greeted me and asked if I was a guest at the hotel. I told him that I was here for an event. He immediately directed me with instructions on where to park and enter the hotel. As I walked into the hotel looking lost, one of the staff members immediately asked if I needed anything. I told her that I was here for a special event. She told me exactly which directions to go and where the Huntington room was. I got to the event room as directed. The room was set up nicely but what really surprised me was the continental breakfast spread. Not sure if it was from the hotel or from OTA. Anyways, they had Starbucks coffee, muffins, danish, croissants fresh fruit spread, and stuff to go with it. It was very nicely displayed. I grabbed my coffee and other items then sat down. All I can say is that I did have a very pleasurable experience. Thank you.

We stayed 2 nights for a wedding. It was a very nice, clean hotel. Room was pretty basic, would have been too small for more than 2 people. I would have given 5 stars except the sink area was tiny. I could barely have a curling iron and makeup bag out at the same time.

This hotel is a very fancy hotel, but that doesn't automatically dictate a five star rating. The biggest point is that the staff go over the top to make you feel welcome. Both the valet and the desk managers will usually greet you when you walk through the front door. The lobby is very spacious and has lots of seating if your room isn't ready yet. The room service is very polite and will ask you if you need anything specific if you run into them. Also optimal walking distance from the Metro, and several good food options available within walking distance as well.

Beautiful hotel. Hotel personal was very welcoming and helpful. The conference rooms were great and it's walking distance from many restaurants.

The place is very nice, the entrance is beautiful and it is located close to many places full of fun and amazing food. When going to the room the elevator was a little hard to find but once you get into the room you get a large, clean room.

Marriott is always a great place to relax. Pasadena's Courtyard is no different. Great staff. Great room.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a $19.00 fee per day for parking. The room had a body odor smell which never went away. Used a black light on the toilet and the area you would come in contact with was clean. The lower part could have used a little extra leaning. Without the smell I would have rated the visit four stars.

Very friendly staff, rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice hotel and a nice experience. Great place to stay if you're seeing a concert at the Rose Bowl! It's even walking distance if you're okay with walking a little over a mile to and from the show.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the food was top shelf. I only wish you didn't have to pay such a huge fee for parking. I'd rather have them build those costs into the price of the room.

This is a great hotel. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are modern and clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. They also have a little deli style restaurant on site so you can grab food or eat it there.

Courteous service at the front desk. Delicious food from room service and it arrived quickly. Also love that the parking garage goes right into the hotel. No need to carry your bags up and down stairs. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is very convenient with a large amount shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very nice, clean, and modern with lots of good amenities (even a fridge and microwave in the room). One of the coolest aspects of the hotel is the way the parking works. You park on the same floor of the parking garage as your room and you can enter the hotel on your floor with your room key. No need to wait on elevators or walk down to enter the lobby so you can go up to your room afterwards. Very convenient. My only complaint is the beds seem smaller than they should be. My room supposedly had a queen but it felt much smaller than one I had at home, making sharing less comfortable.

It was a good hotel. My family enjoyed the room. We ate breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and it was yummy. One of the valets have my son a gift. Super stay!

Here for the Arroyo Seco music festival. Close to the Rose Bowl & there are shuttles close by. Rooms are very nice. Comfortable beds and great shower. The Bistro is good, but walk to Old Pasadena to find better restaurants and bars. People are nice and helpful & would stay here again.

Well run hotel in historic downtown Pasadena. Clean rooms, great beds and courteous staff. Good spot for entertaining a group. Nice pool. Walking distance to a wide array of restaurants.

Room was fine. Person at check in was kind of bitchy. We checked in at 3:35pm. She asked if a first floor room was ok. We asked, "oh is there anything else available? " She said, "well check in isn't until 4 so housekeeping isn't finished and the only thing done is first floor! " With a big attitude. Whoa. First, we had an email stating check in was at 3. Second, there's a right way and a wrong way to give that information to a guest. You just picked the total wrong way. Very off putting. So after confirming with Ms. Attitude that the 1st floor rooms were indeed the type we had reserved (one of us, not me, was ready to just sit in the lobby for 25 min until 'check in time'), we headed to our room. Which was nice, clean spacious, and right by the driveway to the parking garage. But it was quiet and it was a one night stay so we just got ready for our event that night. Got back to the hotel at 1130, after attending a dressy event (heels, semi formal Wear). They are cleaning the lobby floor and we cannot get to our room without walking on super click wet floor. Of course this Left dirty tracks in the clean floor.

I stayed at the Courtyard Los Angeles during the Rose Bowl Parade and it was truly a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, the room was very spacious and comfortable, the cafe in the lobby was just what I needed and if you haven't tried it, I recommend the Bacon Burger! What a lovely setting and beautiful sight! Thank you Courtyard Marriott for a truly memorable experience!

I have stayed here many times. Great staff, Great location, good rooms, HORRIBLE INTERNET! I cant wait for the Residence Inn to open across the street, because I will no longer stay here. I cant get my evening work done in my room because I can never get a reliable internet connection, when I do get a connection, the word of the day is SLOW! So forget Netflix or any other streaming service because premium internet is not an option at this location. I have filled out comment cards about this for years and never get a response. This is also one of few locations that does not solicit electronic feedback after a stay, so there's no way to comment in a recorded method on the state of the internet, so hand written card is all you get, which is probably get filed in the circular file.

Friendly greeters asked if I needed help in the lobby. I said no as I was just going for a walk to check out the local restaurants. She then told me she could help me, magically produced a map and directory of the local old town Pasadena, and gave me directions to some popular local spots. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful.

Located on a major road, access to the hotel is excellent. Each floor of the parking garage also opens directly to a floor of the hotel so there is no need to walk very far through the parking structure at night. The lobby is well appointed with the typical light food and drink options as well as group seating areas. Rooms are modern, clean and in good repair. The sofa bed is only a single so don't expect to have more than one guest on it. There are power outlets all over the room which is refreshing but some of them go out with the lights so beware. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Everything about the hotel was great. The lobby was really nice, and I liked the grass on the countertops. Rooms were nice also, nothing wrong with them. One thing to note though, is that it takes them ages to get your car from the valet lot.

My stay was great! From check in to check out. I wanted to spend the night close to a few restaurants and bars without having to worry about getting home. The location of the hotel was ideal and within walking distance of my favorite places. During the day I visited a few galleries and museums. My overall experience was great, I will def visit again.

The front desk staff is so solid that they merit a full star on their own. Seriously. They're always friendly, they know the area, and they're quick to address any questions you give them. The rooms are standard Courtyard fare. Most windows seem to look out on the gas station, but the bright lights are easily blocked by the hotel's blackout curtains. Food is fair and room service ends early, so you're better off eating out. Showers are curtained and tubs drain slowly. Wi-Fi has improved over time, but still crawls for anything beyond basic browsing.

Let me be fair. If I could give multiple ratings for different categories I would rate this hotel in the following way. Service of staff 5 stars. Location to old town, the parade, rose bowl and restaurants 5 stars. Quality of sleep due to thin walls 0 stars. Our inconsiderate neighbors woke us up everyday either with their coughing and talking or with their alarm going off and not resetting it. Also the road noise if they put you on fair oaks is very loud. Insist on a room away from the main road. Bed and linens were fine. Poor rating is all about the noise.

A very nice hotel in Pasadena, within walking distance to the Old Town that's full of great restaurants, and close to public transportation. The staff is super nice and everything in the rooms is well maintained and clean. I will, however, echo some of the other comments in that the speed of the hotel's Internet connection is slow in the rooms, and almost unusable in the lobby (to the point where pages even stop loading). I would stay again.
