Was in town visiting a friend who was staying at the ABVI. The area certainly does not appear to be that great with quite a few homeless areas within minutes of the hotel, but the room did seem nice for the amount being paid, especially in California. My friend did complain that they didn't get very good sleep due to the traffic noise outside, but that is to be expected especially with people who has never been to California. The hotel is in a central location that made it easy to travel around town. That is definitely a plus!

The location was good since we wanted to go to a lot of places. The room was fine. Just busy street next to the inn and the top covering the bathtub was moldy.

Decent Motel, fairly clean and kept discreetly. The location, if you are in the car is fine, otherwise leave it alone. It's not a beautiful neighbourhood, it's full of bums, one of which we found on the stairs one evening. Promptly sent away by security a couple of minutes later, but the impact is not the best. The structure looks quite modern and the bed comfortable. Sufficient cleaning.

Great place to stay. Clean, new, affordable, close to the 101, downtown, in between Silverlake and Echo Park. Awesome staff and parking. Small rooms but perfect place to stay if you are in LA to explore the city. I stayed here last January 2018. I remembered enjoying my stay so much I’m writing this review months later. I will be staying here again when I visit LA.

The coffee and complimentary breakfast are good and above all more than you are accustomed to from other motels.
The cleanliness of the room is OK.

Great place! Customer service great, cleanliness great, comfort great… the only reason I didn't give five stars is because of the noisy traffic.

I enjoyed my stay here. From start to beginning it was easy process and great service. We got here at 11 pm. The attendant was very friendly. We were able to get a room and do all the paperwork within 10 minutes. The room was very nice very clean we got a two bed room. Came out about 130 ish. Best part is breakfast is free from 7 to 10. They have orange juice coffee and little pastries. Overall completely change my view of value hotels.

I would never normally stay somewhere like this but there were no other hotels under $400 within 1hr of LA. It was night time. Reserved over the phone. Didn't realize the area I was in. 10min from skid row. Was clean and staff was hospitable.

Comfortable beds. Wi-Fi was decent. Service was great.

The check-in experience wasn't great but they tried to make amends. The rooms were extremely small but fairly clean. There were 6 parking spaces in the front and approximately 10 spaces in the back, which was also an alley. The stay was quiet and otherwise okay.

Very well worth it! I will never spend too much money on hotels again! I needed a safe place to stay while attending my conference. The hotel where conference was at charged $269 per night. Then I found Americas Best Value for cost of $88 nightly. Initially I was skeptical, but I decided to try it out. The place is safe. The rooms are well worth the money. Clean, air is clean. Bathrooms are clean. The staff are very friendly. The place is close to downtown. I stayed for 3 days. Upon check out, I felt like I have been handed back over $500 (comparing two options I was contemplating), which I can do so much with! I am usually not so generous with stars, but I thought someone else might be interest on my opinion. Go for it.

If you are Ray Donovan fan. You will be happy to learn that the ending of Season 5 Episode 5 was filmed here. You can see the hotel sign and the CTBC bank building in the background as Ray is leaving. It is a nice hotel for the money and the beds are quite comfortable. It is in an excellent area near everything.

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, and amazing staff! We were able to walk to Dodger Stadium and back without any problems! We also left something valuable in our room when we checked out and didn't realize in until later in the day. When we called to ask about it they said they found it and were keeping it at the front desk for us. Thank you guys for being honest and keeping our valuables safe!

I called ahead to see if I could get a room and pay for it over the phone. The gentleman on the line said that they could not do that and to visit the motel in person to get the room. When we got there, another gentleman was there and told us that they could take reservations by phones. Due to the late hour we got there, we decided to take the last room they had. It was a single double bed for 3 adults. The room itself was fine, but the reservation snafu took off 2 stars.

Room was great. Neat and tidy but not perfectly clean. Got what I needed.

Room was nice and clean. Wasn't very big but fine for our stay. Restroom could use some detail cleaning. Tip: bring your own shampoo/soaps for shower.

Got in really late after my truck broke down so we didn't sleep much but the man at the counter was so sweet and said if we needed to stay a few hours later to rest then we could (I had my 2 babies with me). He was so generous and polite I really felt welcomed. And altho we didn't stay past breakfast time our short stay was very pleasant.

I booked with Americas Best Value Inn at 811 N Alvarado Street as a last resort as I was initially looking for something even closer to downtown LA in order to better accommodate myself for an event held at the Galen. However, I could not have been happier with this outcome seeing as the staff was super friendly and accommodating, the rooms (although older) were immaculate and recently renovated, the surrounding space (i. E. The parking lot) was freshly paved and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Should I attend another event downtown, I will undoubtedly be booking with Americas Best Value again! Great experience overall, especially because I was not expecting it.

As an overnight guest, I had a great experience. Check in/out was quick and easy and the room was very clean. Only issue was that the front desk person would be off doing something and so you'd have to wait for them to return or notice that someone is in the office waiting. Besides that, I would definitely come back.

The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Disney. And unless is a 10 minute walk you have a taco Bell and a petrol station with a super mini. The rooms are spacious modern. 40-inch flat TV. Refrigerator and microwave. Good Wi-Fi connection and the staff is very nice.

A clean and comfortable option in the area. Vending machine on property or stores a block away.

It's a simple hotel. Nothing fancy. Nice and clean and pastries in the morning are nice. Overall, a good value for your money.

We have been more than pleased with our 3 night stay. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious, clean and looked newly remodeled. We were on the end next to the busy street but with the a/c on (and I run the TV all the time anyway), we rarely heard as much noise as one would expect. The staff, especially Carmen, was very friendly and helpful to accommodate our needs. Being close to the LA Studio Center was an added plus for our visit, and for the price I do not think we could have done any better whatsoever. We would definitely recommend staying here and will return.

I am CURRENTLY staying at this hotel. I'm here from south Orange County because I have a deadline for a video game that's launching (I'm a graphic designer) so I had a bunch of meetings to attend plus work from here in the time being. Being in the video game industry mostly all my co-workers are male. I met with two of them at my room before carpooling to a meeting. When I had been back for a while and went to lay down, there was a knock on my door from an indian gentleman who worked the front desk (maybe middle-aged). He proceeded to inform me that I had too many people over and that whatever business I'm doing isn't allowed here. EXCUSE ME? I have NEVER been so offended in my life. This guy literally implied that I was there PROSTITUTING. I told him I had a couple people there for business briefly, and I was never advised when I checked in that visitors weren't allowed. I almost threw up in my mouth. I understand the area is somewhat sketchy, but since I'm a young female I'm automatically targeted as a prostitute. Such a disgusting remark to make and was COMPLETELY unprofessional. Mind you I never once complained about there not being a window in the bathroom, and the window isn't a small one. I'm most definitely reporting this to corporate, completely unprofessional and disgusting.

Neat and clean rooms at a reasonable price. Well located. An excellent and very helpful front desk agent, Carmen. When in town again, definitely would come to stay again.
