The perfect boutique hotel brings back great memories.

Fun and quirky hotel that recently had a renovation. Nice staff, free album rentals for the record player in the room. Nice pool, Great restaurant with a happy hour 3-7. Lower floors can have issues with heavy walkers above. Nice marble bathroom with great water pressure. Love the location near the airport, shopping and restaurants. 1 mile from the beach is an easy walk.

Loved this hotel. Has a retro vibe to it. Staff were amazing. Restaurant quality was good. About a 5 minute drive to the beach area, or a pleasant 30 minute walk.

Fantastic experience. The room is nice and updated. The staff was very friendly and it is across the street from the Greenbelt which was great for running/walking to the beaches. The only parking is valet, but they were super kind and available 24 hours. The courtyard is very nice. All in all I spent two nights here and enjoyed my time.

They must have had a toilet overflow as the hall ways smelled terrible. Service was friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean. Dinner at the hotel was tasty and they happily accommodated my substitute requests. Breakfast on the other hand, I would not recommend, I paid $28 for 2 pieces of toast and 3 pieces of bacon.

Alex at 11:46pm on Sunday 8/2018 made the experience super amazing for me and my family and because he was so kind and nice. We decided to stay here two extra nights. Recommend this hotel to anyone. Gorgeous room and absolutely gorgeous service. Will be coming back here for future LA trips. Thank you again Alex at Belamar for making this amazing stay.

Great service at the hotel, easy assess to the MB Pier. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room service. Lovely boutique hotel, close to the heart of Manhattan Beach. Very helpful staff.

Dirty smelly, high end prices I paid $260.00aud per night. Staff need training on directions in the area. They changed my room as there were a lot of things not working. Did not even offer to help me move. Do not waste your hard earned money on a has been venue. Worst hotel of all time.

Celebrated my 1 year anniversary in Manhattan Beach and stayed at the Belemar for the first time ever. Our experience was absolutely amazing! Couldn’t of had a better stay. Alex at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. He answered all of our questions and made our celebration extra special. The room was extremely relaxing, pool was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious! I have no complaints what so ever, we will definitely be back again. (:

Hotel is close to the airport, but far enough not to hear any of the airplanes taking off. Quite a walk from the hotel to the beach. Not much to do in the area. Rooms are nice, however no blackout curtains and you can hear your neighbor walking around due to thin floors. Restaurant in the hotel is nothing special, and parking is not free. $15 to valet only.

The bed was probably my favorite thing about the place. I've never slept so well in recent memory. The breakfasts are huge and the valet service is super quick. Also very close to the mall and the beach isn't that far away either.

We arrived at the hotel at 7:30 this evening to be informed that one of the guests in our party would not be accommodated due to “unavoidable circumstances. ” Other than offering a room at the sister property (that did not have additional rooms available for the other two in our party) the front desk was utterly unhelpful. No effort was made to notify us prior to our arrival that the room would not be available. I would not recommend booking here — who knows if you will even have a room when you arrive, regardless of what your confirmation email may say.

The room was terrible. Paper thin walls were only surpassed by paper thin sandpaper/toilet paper. I made sure to keep the room service card inside the door, and still had someone in my room when I came back from the office. They charge $15 a night for valet service/parking, and left my windows down… So the car windows were wet on the inside. Then the valet tried to help and ended up getting the window dirty and sticky right in front of the drivers seat, making it hard to see while driving. The valet that was there later in the day did help clean the window. It's not perfect, but I can see. They made my choice to find a different hotel very easy. I will add that they waived the cancellation fee for me and were not unpleasant about it at all. That's the reason for the second star.

The Belamar has a sentimental meaning to me because I stayed here when I first interviewed for a company that I still currently work at 3 years later. In addition to that I love the Retro Vibe that the place has. A phonograph, rotary dial phone in my room with a touch of modern. The complimentry breakfast in the morning is not your typical thrown-together Style breakfast at a cheap hotel but an actual full fledged breakfast. Room service food excellent as well. All parking is valet so if you do not wish for valet parking you have to park on the street. The hotel is kept very clean and the common area is a nice place to chill for a drink before you retire for the evening.

Friendly staff, fabulous rooms with a vintage record player! You can check out classic vinyl records at the front desk. It is a short walk to the beach. You can also get bicycles from the hotel for a lovely ride to the beach. Outstanding stay!

Nice boutique hotel. Rooms are up to date, pool is nice (enclosed but still an open roof) and restaurant serves good food and smiles. Location is 5 minutes from everything you want in Manhattan Beach.

Great location and cozy hotel. Restaurant has good food and fun marina view with good feel of ocean front interior. Just plan to be patient with the wait staff.

There for 3 days of work meetings. Lovely place. Nice staff. Close to restaurants, shopping. The entrance is a little hidden but it's nice. Valet parking.

Beautiful hotel. Great happy hour! Please let occupants know how to turn off the "under the bed" light. We finally had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to find out how to turn it off.

Such great service starting with the valet team. They learned and remembered my name. The room was pretty. C. O. Bigelow skincare is in the bathrooms. The location was very convenient. It was close to The Point shopping center and easy to get to downtown Manhattan Beach.

The service is perfect! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The staff are all friendly and welcoming! Michael the valet is simply the best! And along with Thiago at the front desk the tone was set for out stay… thank you gents!

I made my reservation for the wrong day (one day early). They graciously gave me walk-in accommodations with the same rates I had booked for my original reservation. I loved the ambiance of the hotel room, very light & airy. I was sad that I was only staying one night as I was passing through LA. Definitely will go back next time I am in the area & will recommend to all!

Room was excellent, and the grounds are very nice. I was impressed with the amenities. They have a heated pool and jacuzzi. They also have their own restaurant and bar.

Restaurant is amazing, free parking for everyone who comes just for the restaurant. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Came only for the good and it was delicious!

My fiance and I love this hotel and have chosen to get married here. It's a hidden gem. Really beautiful inside and service has always been amazing. Food is delicious and they have a great happy hour at the restaurant.

The room was very cozy with more of a "homey" feel then most other hotels. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes it feel like you're spending the night in a five-star hotel costing way more. The bartender upstairs makes a killer Old Fashioned.

Wanted a quiet environment to drink, so went to Second Story at the Belmar. I think because it's inside a hotel that not too many people frequent it even though they offer free valet to "temporary" guests. I liked their food and cocktails, so I think it's worth going to if you want a chill place to drink.

Perfectly located between LAX and Manhatten Beach. Friendly staff, well appointed rooms. Great in house dining and local shops and dining within a few minutes walk. Swimming pool and lounge area is lovely too. Highly recommend.

Very nice stay… approximately 18months ago. Very friendly staff, nice restaurant… great indoor pool. However if you want to stay near the beach… this isn't the hotel for you! I loved the 30 min walk to the beach and coffee shops… didn't need to use gym! Great shopping centre, with Macy's across the way. Great restaurants also nearby. Only thing I didn't like was having the courtyard right outside my window… very pretty setting, however really noisy at night.

Clean and comfortable room, breakfast was awesome (omelets, pancakes, waffles, eggs cooked to order). Staff was friendly and accommodating. Well located to be able to get on a small walking trail that takes you to the beach access area for Hermosa and Manhattan Beaches.

Amazing hotel! We loved out time here. Rooms are very comfortable, and the pools are glimmering clean. The lightly-heated cool pool is perfect. Breakfast here is very generous and delicious with buffet and menu items. Highly recommend the Belamar!

I went in for a tour for the space they have for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Sheena gave us a tour and answered all of my questions and she was amazing! It is a gorgeous hotel and the staff was all so nice. It really is a hidden gem. I will definitely be coming back for the happy hour.

I had a team building even there and I was enamored by their decor. The Christmas tree was beautiful and SEA-sonally decorated. The food was delicious and the staff was both helpful and friendly.

Awesome service, very friendly staff that has helped with every request I've made. Rooms are modern and slightly basic looking, but everything is in working order. Valet service is very quick and respectful of the cars, and friendly as well. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the location alone, it's located perfectly for what we came to Los Angeles to see, and is relatively close to LAX as well.

The folks at the hotel are extremely nice. They show interest in your comings and goings often asking "How was your day? " and are knowledgeable of many points of interest close to the hotel. The hotel room was peaceful and quiet with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The hotel is two blocks* away from Plaza El Segundo. Plaza El Segundo features many stores such as: Best Buy, Whole Foods Market, PetSmart and Home Goods with various restaurants.

I found this gem on hotwire. Nice boutique style hotel close to the beach. Grounds were nice and the staff was very friendly. Beds were comforting and the rooms were clean. Valet parking was affordable. And the restaurant is great as well. Everything you need is right there if you want to relax.

Obsessed! This hotel is the cutest, well maintained hotel I have been to in a long time, if ever! I just moved out to Cali and stayed here while my mom was in town visiting. We had so much fun! The employees are the sweetest and the breakfast was toooooo delicious! And it's only a short, peaceful walk to manhattan beaches, restaurants, stores, and bars. Can't wait for an excuse to come back.

I was there for a wedding reception. Got there a little early and went to the Second Story bar and was pleasantly surprised by the very nice bartender. Her name is Jennifer and she did a great job. The food OK, just like most hotel wedding food. The hall and the patio area was cozy and gave a nice atmosphere.

This hotel was more than I expected, excellent service, the food is delicious, excellent public and private.

Very clean and modern hotel, but is a good 30-minute walk to Manhattan Beach, this hotel offers a spacious Spa area. Of the employees, it is recommended to use a taxi or above, to come to Manhattan Beach in the evening.

Nice place. Good breakfast. Excellent views. Bar in the hotel. Its a little uppity for me, I'm not the type of person that needs a $12 bottle of imported artisan Norwegian spring water in my room, but some might fancy that.

The room was amazing, we had our own personal balcony and it was so clean. The staff were all very polite and helpful. We even mentioned when asked it was our anniversary and we were suprised with a bottle of champagne and free breakfast vouchers. This hotel simply went above and beyond. I will recommend to everyone I know and will be returning very soon. Thanks!

I have nothing but good things to say about The Belamar Hotel. We stayed here for 10 nights, booked through Expedia. The hotel itself was clean and well equipped. There is a small but perfectly functional fitness centre which was unoccupied every time we visited, the pool and hot tub is ample for the size of the hotel and if you arrive early you will find it empty for you to enjoy all for yourself. There is a nice peaceful courtyard area to relax in if you want to be outside in the California sun. Once the sun sets they have gas heaters and gas fire pits to keep you feeling warm. The Second Story restaurant is worth a visit in it's own right, even if you aren't staying here. The food is great and the service at the bar couldn't be better either. The lobby sports some funky decor and don't forget to check out the daily rotation of flavoured waters as you pas through. A small addition perhaps, but a nice little touch to make it stand out from every other hotel you have ever stayed in.

Decent location, walking distance to wonderful Manhattan beach as well as some shopping and eating options. Not too far away from major highways or downtown. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, hotel is clean and decently equipped. Gym is adequate at best, but everything else was beyond satisfactory.

This is a wonderful, quiet hotel that knows how to take care of its guests. Great ambience, courteous friendly staff, they're always there to help you enjoy your stay. I've stayed here and have had family stay as well — everyone has loved it! Pro tip — you do need to pay for overnight parking, but there is street parking for free right around the corner.

The gentleman I spoke with, Nathaniel, was ridiculously rude. I would have given my room a good rating, but the level of service from this one person turned my stay upside down. For no reason at all he put me in a very uncomfortable position and treated me unprofessionally. He had such a lack of respect that I have never experienced before. They refused to give me a receipt for my charges put on my card and charged me for things that never happened.

The service was excellent from checking in to checking out of the hotel. This was our second time staying at the The Belamar Hotel erstellen. We thought our room was really nice last time. This time it was great. It was really like a full on apartment. All it needed was an extra bathroom.

Just stayed here for the second time. Both stays were for special celebratory occasions. The front staff and Carlos went over and above to make sure the stay was special. The little things matter and they pay attention to details. Great location, great staff and outstanding service. I can't wait to return here.

I think I love you. And I'm not saying it because you treated me so well, but because of the way you made me (make me) feel. Even after two years I can still feel the ocean breeze, the trendy yet disarming ambience which yielded the perfect combination of sophistication and tranquility. I didn't mind that you weren't massive like other places I've encountered. No, your small stature added to your charm. You were everything I needed; luxury and affordability. You even offered tasty drinks and allowed me to safely sleep after inebriation. If you're looking for a place to getaway just for the weekend or if you are new to town, the Belmar will certainly care for you.

Welcoming staff start to finish. Excellent room service. Rare to find a caprese salad that good anywhere. Room is very clean but had as odd odure. Maybe smoke from the balcony below or the new viynal headboard offgassing. Shower and bed ok. Very quiet, big room. Good stay for price.

I stayed this place so many times, really recommend friendly staff and super close to the beach. I just would recommend make sure once you check in that your room is available and yes Valet is 10 per night.

The hotel is very modern and you can tell it's been recently renovated well. The parking is small which is why it's valet only but at $10/night in LA it's still a great deal. The hotel was a bit over priced but the staff was very friendly. My complaint about this hotel was the lack of soundproofing between walls. I could hear everything going on in the hallway (typical in a hotel) but also above me. Anytime someone walked around it sounded like a heard of elephants. The bathtub in the bathroom was also cracked in multiple places. This told us that they renovated almost the entire room except the bathtub. Overall the room was great and close location to LAX and Manhattan Beach for a reasonable price.

The food is delicious and the hospitality is extraordinary. The service was tremendous. It was a definite great pick. My food came quick and it was prepared with perfection.

I've stayed here a number of times when I wasn't living in the area. Nothing negative to say. Service was great. I would recommend to anyone.
