I got upgraded to a larger suit. I prefer newer or updated hotels but I enjoyed this place for many of its features such as comfy bed, sauna & walking distance to many places.

Least upgraded and most dated Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. Clean but dated and our room was handicapped and had no shelves in shower which was inconvenient.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms, great breakfast, ideal location.

This is a fairly nice hotel. The location is pretty good. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Or really short drive to parking at the pier. The room was really nice. It had a mini fridge and microwave and a pretty big TV. The parking is free. The breakfast is pretty standard breakfast found at most Holiday inn express.

Will definitely stay again. Our plans changed as far as people in our party, they were very accommodating and very generous to us.

Decent hotel, but not that well kept up. Beds are very comfortable and my room was clean, but it's an older place and it shows. Also, there were a couple of French fries in the elevator when I checked in around 1 AM and they were still there when I checked out at 8 AM. So… yeah. And the continental breakfast is decent but somewhat on the lower quality end of the free breakfast spectrum.

The place is clean and tidy, the staff is attentive and helpful, they greet you with kindness and they tell you everything that contains the hotel. I want to give you a recommendation, the next time you stay at this hotel ask that you do not give rooms to the street because the traffic and noise of the street will provoke that you can not reconcile the dream, in case you are a light sleeper. It's already happened.

Hermosa Beach, California, Holiday Inn Express, is not a smoke-free facility as advertised. Throughout half of our stay, someone was smoking on our floor near our room. When I was in the shower, the smoke alarm even went off. I notified the front desk on 2 different occasions and the problem persisted. What made things worse is that I couldn’t even park in handicap, with my handicapped daughter, because it was in the designated smoking space outside. I did at first and several people were leaning on our car smoking while we attempted to go to it. Before that, a person asked me to move my car so that she could smoke. This place is not a smoke-friendly or disabled-friendly location. I wished someone would address this location. It ruined what was supposed to be a great family time. I am a rewards member and stayed for 5 nights. I even tried to cut my stay short a night because of this, and I was told no because I had already prepaid.

The hotel is centrally located, the rooms clean, the staff friendly and all the trappings is fine.

My room was comfortable, the king sized bed was pretty nice. The huge bathtub was wonderful. My only problem was that my room was next to the elevator. The constant dings and conversations was annoying.

My experience here was a good one. The staff was extremely nice and the facility was clean. It’s within walking distance of Redondo and Hermosa Beaches. The lovely young lady was in early each morning and started breakfast. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone that is considering staying in this area. It books up quick and I can see why.

Perfect hotel for a few days, the beach and close and even Los Angeles is not far away. Friendly and pleasant staff. Good breakfast and nice rooms. Covered and guarded parking.

Got a good rate since I am a IHG member. Room was very spacious and clean. Nice and big comfy bed. Good and simple breakfast. Close to the beach.

One of the best experiences I had. I would say that it is the best hotel I experienced in the US. I stayed in 5 stars hotel here, but most of them are dirty. This one Should be ranked 5 stars. They have the best free breakfast and free parking. They didn't mention that when I booked it.

An excellent hotel with all the creature comforts. Comfortable and roomy, with especially good hot breakfast.

Upgraded to king suite was nice! It had everything we needed — very comfortable. Great location too!

Decent hotel, rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and early and late check-out helped alot.

The good… nice clean room, comfy bed, close to the Redondo Marina, easy free parking, microwave and fridge in room. The bad… very thin walls. I can hear people talking all night on one side and the guy sneezing on the other side. I did not get a good sleep due to the noise. This is a half hour drive from lax in traffic. The hotel front desk greeting was not very welcoming. No greeting. Would not stay again due to thin walls.

Was quite nice. Rooms were large. The bed was great, too. Everything was clean. However, it's all very old. Breakfast was ok. Everything has it in plastic. Cutlery, mug, plate. We found it very much in need of getting used to.

Over staying here. Close proximity to good food and shops. I never made it to the beach but it is pretty close. Next door to a CVS so just about everything you need is on walking distance.

Went there to delivery some food and had very good help from the staff. Amazing place.

Location is great here. You can walk to the beach and pier. Lots of food and drink options in the area. CVS next door so you can buy anything you need easily. Large TV in room. Breakfast is pretty good. Room with a balcony is a big plus too.

Crappy management. Franchise location which means they don't work with other Holiday Inn Expresses. I'll never book with this hotel again!

We loved it. Clean rooms. Always a great breakfast. That is worth $20 by itself. Holiday Inn Express is our go to brand now. This location like others is the best around in Hermosa Beach.

After checking into Redondo Inn and Suites and found we were lied to about facilities. Immediately booked room at Holiday Inn. Called The Inn for transportation and was picked up by the general manager within five minutes and upgraded to a better room than what we booked. The service is the best.

Impecable rooms, parking and breakfast included. Forgot a bag in the living room. I asked if they found it, and they returned it.

Location is right on the PCH, very near the ocean. Very close to LAX. Had a room with 2 Queens, beds were nice and there was a lot of space in the rooms to spread out. Able to check in in under 60 seconds. Perfectly nice stay for a business trip.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. I've stayed here at least two dozen times.

The hotel had nice public spaces and the room was comfortable. However, being in a room facing the street, the noise level was high, and it was unacceptable that the room didn't have curtains that closed fully. Not only did this mean people could see in, but it also meant the room didn't stay dark once the sun came up. I didn't know rooms like this still existed!

A desent hotel but a location is great.

Very flexible and helpful with early check in and late check out. Held our bags behind the desk as well for us. Clean, professional.

Not enough parking to accommodate the hotel's capacity. It is clean and good Wi-Fi. But over priced it's not that nice.

Room seemed fine and had a nice balcony. I was only there for a few hours visiting out of town friends so my experience is limited.

Breakfast was good, TV was nice.

Service was above and beyond very good hot breakfast.

WORST hotel gym ever. Their idea of a gym is an elliptical, treadmill and reclining bike and a bowflex. All aging. To top it off the night clerk accidentally set off the fire alarm at 1 am because he burnt his lunch on the microwave. Location a quarter of a mile from the beach cannot be beat though. The town helps the hotel out a bit.
