Very nice place with super considerate staff. They gave up out room preference and allowed us to switch rooms. I was very impressed by their service.

Love the hotel part of the casino. We're here for three nights and are pleasantly surprised at how great the rooms are. Service and staff are great. I recommend for hotel. I'm not into gambling so can not comment on that.

Very cute casino in Nor Cal. Staff is super friendly rooms are decent and comfortable. They have a pool hot tub and spa. The beds are so comfortable. I only had the wings as far as their food and they were pretty good. Its not a big casino but its big enough. Plenty of slots and its a good location if you want to explore other places in the Arcata/ Eureka area.

I originally booked a king room but got upgraded to a junior suite at no additional cost, which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't like the shower/tub. It is very unsafe to have a tiled step to go into the tub. Water got all over the floor when you took a shower. My parents were staying in another junior suite with three other people and when they called to have the water cleaned up they were told they would only get 2 extra towels to replace all the ones they used to wipe up the water. Otherwise, had a good experience.

Blue Lake Casino is located on CA highway 299 just east of Arcata. They are one of the larger casinos in the area. They have good variety of slots, table games, two restaurants, valley parking, RV parking, a gas station (with slots inside) and I think they have bingo, but I'm not sure. You can smoke in most of the gaming areas. They're rooms are nice, but over $100. They have a pool and a salon but I did not visit either. When you sign up for there club card, you receive $10 match play, discounts, and a deck of cards. They mail you more free play after your first visit and you can get $10 free play for making referrals. I had a good time there. The staff is friendly and the casino is clean. They serve alcohol in the bar and sometimes there is live music. You have to be 21 to gamble. I recommend visiting Blue Lake Casino and staying at there hotel. The gas prices started at $3.75 a gallon (before club discount) and I believe they have diesel and propane.

We just ate at the Lilly Pond cafe, didn't stay in hotel. The food was very good. Had burritos, french toast strips and Patty Melt. The place was clean and staff in restaurant pleasant. The drinks are free which is great and saved us $$$!

The food and service was great. Very clean and not too crowded. Dinner was priced right. The cook forgot the extra cheese that I ordered, but the server reminded him. Maybe the server forgot to say something. Either way, they did great.

Booked a room at the hotel to rest for the night returning from our trip from the Redwoods. Hotel hosts at the front desk were the most professional and nice people we have met. Room was so roomy and luxurious. Hotel located at a beautiful area and nearby restaurants if you don’t like their food. We ordered from a Thai restaurant 5 miles away in Arcata and it was the best Thai we’ve had.

It's a casino. What more is there to say? I'm happy because I won and a few others I know won as well, so they're not just robbing everyone blind.

Poker room awesome. Mix of fish and want to be pro's. Very soft. I asked for and received food and other comps. Hotel room nice, new. Walls thin… I heard neighbors talking… Only bummer… Staff great. Great stop over from San Francisco to Oregon.

The casino part is fun and smokey. People really go all out on karaoke night and there is good 24/7. The hotel rooms are super nice and clean. The security guards are chatty and helpful. The keys had some trouble with the new system but they were speedy with the exchange of new keys. For a night out, it was a fun stop.

This was a total scam in my opinion. They charged more for the room than any other place I stayed in California. The quality wasn't there and the casino games weren't worthy of even 5 dollars. If you want to have a good time I recommend not coming here instead save the purity of your soul and don't find yourself in this pitfall trap.

We enjoyed our first trip to the casino, and definitely plan on going again. We spent the most time at the card table playing Spanish 21 ($2 each round). The dealers were professional, friendly, and more than happy to answer any questions we had. The free Blue Lake casino cards that you can register for — with a valid driver's license — were confusing. It seems you can only put money in them during certain hours. But they give you $10 credit (to be immediately played) after you put in $10 as well as a free deck of cards. Also, if you are young-looking, ask for a wristband from a staff of the casino when they card you, otherwise you may get carded multiple times throughout the evening.

Better than the Holiday and the Hampton Inn, where I normally stay. Very friendly desk, wonderful restaurant breakfast, safe atmosphere, and my views of clouds rolling over the mountains hugging unto the pines is breathtaking. I also like that my money goes to a local people, local schools and community rather than to Wall Street.

I love this place. I used to work here. Great employer. I love coming to play slots and Black Jack. It's my favorite place to be. Nothing makes me happier than the rush I get from spending money here even if I don't win. ::)

Not a very impressive casino, however the rooms were pretty good and the staff was rather nice. Went to a even in the event center and it was well organized and looked great. The layout is easy to navigate and the diner was not to bad. All and all not a bad place to stay the night if your looking for a room, but to drive there to gamble is probably not worth the time.

I love Blue Lake Casino. It has three different style restaurants and all are good. Plenty of machines to choose from. I try to be a little devoted to this casino because my native roots are from the mouth of the Mad River, which this casino is next to the river. They have more players incentives in this area. I won a car here in 2015. I have won here more than any place else. Merry Christmas Blue Lake Casino!

My room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the handmade bar of soap, too! It's nice to see something local in each room. The employees were kind and willing to help in any way they could. I had a fantastic stay!

Nice, out of the way, and great free breakfast! From desk people are friendly and very helpful. But, watch for the room pricing changes — if you extend your stay, the daily charge may double.

Reviewing HOTEL only… We were on a road trip this past 2017 summer. We rented a room down the road from Blue Lake at another motel, which ended up having bed bugs. It was late, short notice and we were very tired. We called Blue Lake Hotel, and the girl talked with my wife and told her to come down, and that she would take care of our family for our troubles. Well, she delivered, she gave us a a slight discount, and a beautiful clean room! (we inspected it, like always) All the staff was awesome to us and we even had 30 minutes to spare before the pool and spa closed. The Hotel was quiet, no weirdos or anything from the casino. It was very relaxing and hit the spot!

Hidden location but very busy. Great live bands. Drinks were reasonably priced. Not too many tables open and not enough $5 tables. Would've been great if there were roulette and craps tables.

This hotel seems brand new, it's very nice! The rooms are big, very clean and the customer service was fantastic! They had cribs and mini fridges available upon request which was a really nice perk! We didn't go in to the casino were not big gamblers and we have our kids with us.

Fun casino, three separate restaurants ranging from super casual to fairly nice. Hotel accommodations range from decent to pretty darned nice. I recommend at minimum a junior suite for decently nice accommodations. The standard rooms are quite generic and no frills.

Blue lake casino is the place to have an event. Arcata Florist attended the something in blue wedding show today and the staff was friendly and helpful. The venue was clean and well decorated.

Beautiful casino, awesome environment. The parking is plentiful and the soda and coffee are free. They have live music in the huge bar. There is an amazing restaurant. The card tables are spacious and fun. Slot machines galore!

Best front desk staff in a hotel ever. Had a wonderful stay. Great staff, very friendly and Cherrelle really went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and did her job very well. Thanks for a great stay! Alice's has the very best breakfast every Sunday from7am to 2pm. Best food in Humboldt for sure.

Excellent hotel in the three star range. Its a bit remote with all the pros and cons of a rural locale. The food at Alice's is quite good with average pricing (15+ a plate). The staff were warm and our double queen room was spacious. Highly recommend…

Pretty decent hotel to stay for a day or two. Big rooms, big bathroom. You can hear people walking from the above floors in your room. The casino is fine too. Not many people around during the weekdays.

I have been going to Blue Lake Casino since before they added the hotel on, and we have always had a great time. While at the slots you don't have to go after your drinks, it never takes long for someone to come by and serve you. My money always last me a while, if I'm not a winner. And I love to be a WINNER @ Blue Lake Casino and Hotel!
