Stayed here for an interview in Eureka. Modern hotel with great amenities. After a VERY long drive to get here, the room was very relaxing, with a luxuriously comfortable king-sized bed. Complimentary breakfast in the morning, and had a great interview. Loved this hotel.

Decent hotel, maybe 3.5. Small room. Chairs in the breakfast area need cleaning or replacing with a different design and material. Average breakfast experience.

Rude reception, noisy room, expensive.

Hotel was fine and breakfast was good. Not a very nice town to stay in however.

Very polite employees. It is very conveniently located off of Broadway and the rooms were very clean.

We got here after being on the road all day and this place was perfect. Fast, easy check-in and a comfortable room.

Very nice hotel on the 101. It has everything you can want in a hotel and is in prime location near other business. There is a costco right next door which is helpful for food a gas. There are also other needed stores nearby and easy highway access.

Really nice Holiday Inn Express. Our room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. The breakfast starts 6:00am everyday, which is great if you're needing to head out early. The front desk people were very friendly.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good shampoo and a typical continental breakfast. Perhaps placing the Keurig in the bathroom wasn't the best idea, but it's not like I was going to use it with a Dutch Bros down the street. The rooms facing 101 experience some traffic noise, but it quiets down by bedtime.

Love this hotel. Very elegant for Eureka. Everyone is friendly. And there is staff walking the perimeter of the hotel at night. Housekeeping.

I would have to say this place is immaculate the hallways are at least 4 feet wide and the rooms pristine condition I haven't seen rooms that look like this for a long time deep set hot tub with 7 Jets nice big bed fireplace the rooms are big enough to have it almost looks like a living room in one section and then you walk down a hallway into your bedroom I would definitely most definitely suggest this place to anyone who wants a room in Eureka.

I am 52 Year old and checked in this hotel with an id card. I am not kidding. Those guys want to see my id when I want to buy a beer. I never saw such a clueless prosess. Last time being guest of Holiday Inn. Seems to be easier buying an gun than a beer in the us — sorry guys.

Right next to Costco is a plus. Stayed overnight for work one night. The room was clean and free of bed bugs. I would stay again in the future.

The staff was very polite and helpful. I had made a mistake while booking, but they fixed everything for me. Any requests I had they were able help me out.

A 2014 built hotel with modern looking appearance and reasonably priced. You won't find Marriott or Hyatt in this city, so this one stands out and almost like a mid level Marriott. Pool is excellent and clean, breakfast is hot with marvelous pancakes, rooms are decent with comfy beds and are overall spacious.

Best hotel in Eureka, we stay here everytime we visit family in the area. Great indoor pool and jacuzzi for kids (note, not really meant for adults or lap swimming as it's only 4ft deep at the deepest). Great included breakfast and grab n go snack bar open all night with many options including frozen dinners and ice cream. Hot coffee/tea/cocoa always available. Only complaint is the accessible rooms do NOT all have truly accessible showers (needed for wheelchair bound guest in our party) otherwise zero complaints, only hotel we will stay at in Eureka anymore.

Our room was really clean, the hotel gives you complimentary personal items if you forget something, and the breakfast in the morning is really good! I loved the warm cinnamon rolls!

We stayed in room 342 which is very roomy and nice, because it has two queen beds and a small family room section with a small sofa and a desk. The hallway is very decorative with colorful pattern just like most of the Las Vegas hotel. I like the waterfall glass sheet dividing the lobby and breakfast section, because it is mesmerizing.

Nice hotel. Bit pricey. Great breakfast. Too much noise in 1st floor rooms. Better choose a room in the 3rd.

The experience was no nonsense, I was treated with respect, and the hotel felt highly optimized. Almost every hotel design annoyance I have was taken care of. For what I wanted and what it delivered, I wouldn't change a thing.

Great and new hotel. Very clean with spacious rooms. They even have a small market. Staff is friendly and very helpful. However breakfast could be better. Usually holiday inns switch between cheese omletes and scrambled eggs every other day. So far here only scrambled eggs but other than that it's ok. Lots of free parking and nice indoor pool.

The room was beautiful, the pool and spa were perfect. The breakfast was a rather generic continental breakfast, to be honest I was expecting a bit higher quality. But overall, it was a great hotel and I would stay there again.

I did not actually stay. I was visiting with a friend who was in from out of town. The rooms were nice and clean. They had a wonderful lobby with plenty of casual seating for visiting. There was a nice modern ambiance to all the communal areas. Easy access for handicapped. Plenty of parking.

We stayed at a room with 2 double beds. The room was clean and pleasant and the beds are comfortable. There is a nice breakfast area except the chairs are too low. Everybody was complaining about them. The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to go to both the Redwoods national and state parks about 45 miles north of it and Humboldt state park which is about 45 miles south of it. There is the Eureka natural food store within walking distance and Costco just around the corner where we filled up the rental car tank before we headed to the airport.

Newer hotel, and the rooms are quite nice. There are k-cup machines in the room which is quite nice. It is a great location to use as a base for redwood national park. Would stay there again.

Updated clean and new. Parking area is fenced with one in/out access point. If you have a trailer, park on the street to scope it out before driving in. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Has coin laundry too. Nothing nearby to walk too, except the mall to the south.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express for a night while on a road trip to San Francisco. When I arrived at the hotel the staff was professional and welcoming. The room was very clean and organized. The bed was very comfortable which made me and my families sleeping experience good! I loved that they have free breakfast which me, my husband and 2 kids really enjoyed. The breakfast had a variety of items to satisfy most appetites and was tasty! Checkout was also quick and easy!

What a nice property! Super clean. Cute fireplace in the lobby to sip a little something and/or read by. Spacious rooms and bathrooms.

Great room and breakfast… Quite possibly the worst luggage cart I have ever used. The only thing that would have been worse was a sheet of plywood with a rope attached to pull.

Nice new room, indoor pool and hot tub were nice, very modernized facility. Stayed on the third floor, one elevator was out but no delays, beds comfy, continental breakfast had decent options, pretty nice place for Eureka. Would be my first choice for my next trip.

Was pleasantly surprised! I recently had a break-in at my home and while my locks were being changed I decided to stay in a hotel. The Holiday Inn Express was recommended to me, so I contacted them. The young man who took my call was polite and found me a room immediately. Upon arriving, the hotel was clean and I felt safe in the parking lot. The gentleman who checked me in told me I was on the first floor. When I asked if I could please be put someplace very quiet, since I was a bit jumpy. He was happy to provide me a room on the third floor that turned out to be just perfect. Was wonderfully quiet and the room was very nice and clean. It even had a small refrigerator so could put in some water and left over food from my dinner that night. I will be recommending this hotel to my friends and family that come up to visit. My family frequents Eureka a few times a year, and this was our first stay at this new hotel. Over all worth the money for a nice clean hotel with a great complimentary breakfast. Indoor pool and jacuzzi are small but nice — pool could be warmer. It is not deep or the right shape for anyone doing laps, but perfect for kids. We had a room with two Queens and a sofa bed. The ac/heat worked well and had a button to keep the fan on which is great. Fridge was cold, had a sink and microwave also. Shower was nice but every shower flooded the bathroom — the fabric curtain was USELESS. Order extra towels as soon as you check in. We will stay here again for sure.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. They also have a good breakfast bar compared to other hotels I've stayed at. I'd definitely book here again.

Nice, clean, modern rooms. The lobby is fantastic. Breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn express menu, a nice selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Pool had really cool ambiance at night. Overall, a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend to friends.

Riding the storm out. We were trying to make it over the volcano before nightfall and more snow but that didn't happen. We had to stop at two different Walmart's prior to arriving here to buy chains for our tires and that put us behind. We wanted to be safe and decided to stay here for the night. Check in was easy and Noel at the front desk was super nice. She hooked me up with a tooth brush because I had forgotten mine in Chicago. She also gave us some fresh baked cookies. The room had a microwave and we ate dinner in the room. On our last Walmart stop we grabbed 3 healthy microwave dinners knowing that conditions would be harsh and we didn't want an hour sit down dinner. I played chef in the room making everyone's dinner. It was cozy and one of those fun family nights. In the morning I was so excited to meet the automatic pancake machine. Simply press a button and fresh hot pancakes come pouring off a conveyor belt like Lucy in a chocolate factory. I'm asking Santa to bring me one of these for Christmas. The room was comfy. It was a nice place to lay our heads after a long day of travel and the stress of not driving off of a mountain. I would stay here again if I ever found myself in the area. It's very close of the interstate. In fact you can see it from the parking lot.

As of 2015 this is basically a brand new building. The design of the King Luxury Suites is incredibly well done. Super modern from the furniture to the flooring to the walls. Jackson was great helping with Check In. The free breakfast is superb. The stay was underpriced for the value.

I've been to some nice hotels and resorts in my life, including Hawaii and Cancun and I've got to say, this hotel made the top 3 list. Very nice hotel.

The service was pretty good, but the pool wasn't the best.

Exactly what I expected for a three star hotel. Was clean and relatively updated.

Despite booking one of their executive rooms with a king size bed, this new hotel let us down quite a bit. At check in, front desk staff greet you by "what can I do for you, bud? ". Perhaps over familiarity is the norm in Eureka. That aside, the appointments in the room were quite poor. The king size bed had a mattress that crested in the middle, so I ended up rolling to one side. It was also beyond firm so woke up stiff and uncomfortable. Pillows were all super soft providing no neck support. Separately, each of the pieces of furniture were equally low quality. The office chair was shod in sticky vinyl so if you're wearing shorts, your skin will soon feel rashed as the vinyl sticks. Couch is deep making you slouch to sit in it. Fan in the bathroom is ultra loud. Breakfast is minimal with dubious turkey sausage and coffee weaker than McDonalds. For $170 a night, I could have done much better. PS: Buyer beware on the Holiday Inn website as they didn't post this review. Interestingly, that forced me to look at lots of their hotels reviewed by what they call "Real Guests". None of their "Real Guests" ever post a one star review. Imagine that. Calls in to question the integrity of their feedback posted, so take what that says with a grain of salt.
