Quiet place, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The rooms are clean, furniture could use a lil updating in some of the rooms but not bad. The bathrooms were very clean as well. Close to food, gas and not too far from everything else, freeway is right around the corner. My only complaint about this place is: I rented a room for a second night and before I left the room for the day the housekeeper knocked, I told her no thank you and she was on her way. When I returned later that evening, my room was completely cleaned out! All of our things were gone. When brought up to the front desk, nothing was done about it and we were only able to recover our clothes. Everything else we took a loss on.

My stay was a good one. We had a room one The 1st floor. The room had a small refrigerator, which was great because we can bottled water and 20 oz soda to keep cold. The 2nd stay was much different. We had room on the 2nd floor. They don't put refrigerators on the 2nd floor rooms. We had to drink our bottled water at room temperature. We registered the for two days. We left the room for a few hours, we came back I noticed the room was clean, and all my things were gone. I left my overnight bag, & some catalogs. I freshly opened bar of soap on the bath tub. I immediately called the front desk. The representative was very nice & professional about the situation. She explained how it was shift changed. & she had just got there, but will make some calls and get back with me. Thirty minutes later. The maid knocked on the door. Returned my bag, however it was wet, & dirty. I believe she had thrown it in the trash. I had to throw the catalogs away bcuz they were wet from what I believe the trash. I never received the bar of soap.

This is actually a very nice place to stay with pool, nice rooms, nice TV and comfy bed. A little dated but the cleanliness was good and the noise from the freeway was not nearly as bad as I expected it might be.

Bed very soft. Pillows are nice& fluffy. No available outlet to charge my phone, but other than that, it's quiet and location is the best. Right off 99. Surrounded by Several fast-food restaurants. Great for truckers bcuz every thing is in walking distance. Would be a lot better if the rooms were furnished with small refrigerators.

I can't even put 1 star on this hotel. What once was nice has now gone down in the dumps. Its been a good 4 years since I came back to stay and its changed my room was filthy left over scraps from marijuana on my table the floor with dirt if you had no shoes your feet was black What made me pack up and leave was the Bed Bug on my pillow crawling right befor I was going to bed. Never will I go back.

Decently priced. Next door to Denny's and gas station. Right next to freeway. Great location.

It's pretty cheap. Right next to 99 fwy. Quiet at night for the area it's in.

This by far was our worst experience ever. And we've seen some bad ones. The only good thing was front office personnel they were understanding.

The pictures on the internet look good, but the rooms are not like that. No small refrigerator in room, no iron and ironing board. Pictures are deceiving.

This place is pretty decent again Google is showing a different price on their hotels when you look up cheap hotels near me with Google Maps. However the rooms are very tidy and the sheets and towels are very clean.

This motel is Great — as long as your ok with sharing your filthy room with CockRoaches & more Hooker DNA than HollyWood! Its the perfect pit stop IF your a lonely Trucker, whether your just lookin to turn on the TV & watch 1 of the only 3 channels available, (all ADULT, all the time, Nø Nickelodeon here! ), or if your lookin more for the live kinda company that as long as you have cash will show up at your door complete with condoms, cocaine & chlamydia. Have Fun!

Liked it. It is a secret society place … yea, you have to be aware of your surroundings. Clean and service was great, rates were good. It's location is perfect, all fast foods r at urban fingers. Gas stations, liquor stores, it's even got a Dennys in the parking lot. So it was kool.

The rooms are very small and confined feeling. The employees are great so that's a plus. There is continental breakfast. They are also a pet friendly community.

Staff was friendly. Everything else was terrible. First room they gave us had dirty towels, and the only light that worked was in the bathroom. All other lights in the room did not work. And when housekeeping brought clean towels, they never knocked, just opened the door. Second room we were given, the sink leaked onto the carpet which not only made the carpet wet but also moldy, causing the room to stink. Plaster falling off the ceiling in the shower. Will not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone else.

No refrigerator,, price wasn't to bad. Alot hoes doing their Johns in the parking lot. Heading to the crosslands,,

Pretty nice, clean little hotel. Free Wi-Fi and swimming pool. Located right off highway 99 and the 41. Right next to plenty of places to eat like Denny's and McDonald's and a couple of gas stations.

5 stars for the staff & other guests. Stayed here 2 days for New year's and had my cat get out. I was unable to catch him before I left. The staff kept a missing poster for me and Truck driver that happened to be there when it happened who stays here alot. Called me as soon as he popped up and feed him till I got back to town. Way above what they had to do. The motel it's is a little ran down and outdated microwave in the room is a plus. Love to bed is really soft. But it's pet friendly and lots of fast food close. Will stay here when I'm in town.

Worst inn ive ever stayed in. Hot water is wretched… goes from ice cold to boiling hot in shower without ever touching the dial. None of the outlets want to hold a single plug! Cheapest Wi-Fi youve ever seen. Cant stream basic youtube at 360p. Overall no. This places only saving grace is that its pet friendly. Beyond that… absolute garbage and not even worth its cheap price… Avoid.

I loVery this motel I stay there all the time the rooms are bug and clean all the workers are polite helpful and enjoyable to be around.

We were in Fresno for a few days buying our 5th Wheel from a used RV lot. We went back several nights until our RV was ready to travel. Lori was very nice and accommodating, the rooms were clean, bug free, and well maintained. We liked this motel over Days Inn and Executive Inn hands down!

My Opinion! I stayed here with no issues or complaints. Ms. Roberta is one of the most polite an nicest ladies. She goes out of her way to make sure she has made the guest as comfortable as possible. Thank You Ms. Roberta.

It was nice and clean but one the lights didn't work. Other then that it was nice. Even the lady was really sweet good service. Thank you.

Location was great. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The room was very dirty, you could tell it hadnt been dusted very well, and there are stains everywhere, and there were cockroaches. Other then that, it was an ok stay for the price.

The Vagabond Motel is a decent, although a bit over priced, mid-level motel. Unfortunately its located in one of the shadier parts of town, with a large homeless/transient population & above average gang activity. A motel more suitable for the Truckers that frequent it than families, due to the local Prostitutes who are also regulars of the motel. Another Draw/DrawBack, depending o who u are, is the Variety of Easily obtainable Recreational Drugs always available if u know who to ask. The best thing about the motel is the Pool & its "Top Flight Security"… BtW — Be prepared to pay a $100 deposit on top of ur room charge, I dont understand why they never tell u that on the phone or while making reservations online, they just leave that info out. But if u show up, reservation or not, & do not have the extra $100 for the deposit on hand — u will be turned away & ur reservation cancled. & u will be responsible for any cancelation charges u agreed to when booking your reservation… Just so You know.

Had issues with door not locking, and being switched to a room we couldnt get into. Lady at front desk was helpful and get us into a suitable room. Rooms are a bit dirty, area is a little seedy; but actually the place is pretty fine for its price.

The location of the Inn is very suspicious but the room was decent. I stayed in a smoker room so obviously I got exactly what I paid for. Brown, smoke stained walls and pillows that stink of cigarettes.

Bathroom had lots of mold in tub and ceiling. So called continental breakfast was an apple and small danish. Definitely needs paint. Would have went elsewhere if I were paying for room. Staff was very nice.

Convenient location for dining and freeway access. Friendly staff. Had an issue with one of the rooms and it was quickly resolved. Overall a very good experience.

Well, the light wasn't plugged in, the lamp on the wall fell apart when I touched it. The wall was dirty where a picture used to be. The bedspread was covered in stains. The toilet whistled for over a minute every 5 minutes until my husband just turned it off. There was a prostitute walking around when we got back in the evening and the train whistle went off every 10 minutes because a crossing was next to the hotel. Not a good stay at the old Vagabond for us.

I know it's old & worn but the room needs a paint job & the bathroom fixtures (toilet, tub & sink) need replacing! Too scary to shower this morning! All we had to do was sleep & leave early! The beds were clean & comfortable!

Great place spent the weekend waiting on a load of bees. My room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Shower needed to be cleaned more but the staff was nice and the room and bed were much nicer than I thought it would be for the price.

PROS: Pleasant atmosphere, Great and Very Friendly Staff, and clean cool swimming pool. CONS: Rental Price per night is a bit Expensive, location is Very high Traffic, some Guests seem to be involved in possible criminal activities. But the biggest Turn Off about this was the artificial "ambiance", they have some sort of Super Annoying, Tropical Nature Sounds Recording, playing over loud speakers 24/7! Worse still is the fact that theyre meant to be various tropical Bird Songs, when in reality its a recording of some birds and MONKEYS! As if nobody will ever realize the difference! I found it a tad insulting. But overall, if the prices were adjusted a bit to accomodate my budget, YES, it could be my first choice of motels in the area. I would stay there, Often!

This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to! There's drug addicts floating all around, they sell condoms in the vending machine, an I had to change my room 3 times! At that the third one didn't even lock! Beware! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! Not to mention the guy at the front desk could care less!

The staff was helpful and personal but the room was dilapidated, had patched holes and smelled like Marijuana upon check in. The location was easy access to the highway, but unfortunately close to hooked and other undesirables.

I was lied too by the night staff about vacancy. Found out next morning there was still available rooms. Guess he saw I was from WI and could cared less. Requested a non smoking room and got room with cigs burns… shaking my head. Carpet felt crusty and some parts were sticky, im sure it hasnt been washed in years. Lastly… cockroaches… need I say more.

Worst hotel location ever. You can't sleep all you hear is train horns and big rigs honking because of the truck stop across the street. I had to change rooms twice because the sheets were stained. Second room was fair. Shower curtain and towels smell bad. Staff was great. Price was great. One star because I could not sleep.

You can walk to Denny's Restaurant or if you want to walk a little farther, there is Kentucky Fried Chicken less than a quarter of a mile away. Was approached by a woman and asked if I wanted some company. Other than that really nice place.

This place is NASTY, NO VERY NASTY didn't even want to take my shoes off trucking company paid for room and I slept in my truck now what that tell you. But nice people that work there.

Unknown stains on furniture Overall- I gave it a 2 star because staff was polite, professional, and helpful. I liked how they had security. Even though my room felt dirty, the beds were still clean and comfortable. It's sad really, if they spent a little longer cleaning the rooms and payed attention to detail this would be a nice place to stay. I just can't stand dirty floors. It gets the job done, but I would not stay here again.

Stayed on 11/5/14 was a decent room other than the Toilet and Shower dribbling all nite other than that was great have space for about 10 big rigs to park.

Great staff, nice place to stay near several fast food chains, a convenience store across the street, and a Denny's practically in the parking lot. Not much else nearby, but there is a bus stop right in front of the Denny's. The pool was open and clean. Rooms were nicely done with a fresh coat of paint on the doors as well. Much nicer than a lot of small motels in Fresno. If your truck is in one of the shops nearby, this is the place to stay. Cannot stress that enough. Even the on-site truck parking is right out front and paved, not in some dirt lot behind the building. And the CDL discount was very good, not just $5 off or such.

Very nice and quiet hotel at a convenient location. Assad at the front desk will welcome you with a smile. Plenty of fresh coffee, danishes, and Apples. I recommend you stay if you're around this area.

Worst hotel/motel I ever stayed at, fights in the parking lot, noisy, prostitutes at my room door soliciting, panhandlers in the parking lot. Room was dirty, just a low class dump.

If all rooms were like 114 ac great, room clean, employees great, TV channels need improving. Front building rooms recommended.
