Hockey team spent over 20k. No free parking, no free breakfast, nothing! We’ve been asked to leave pool area, lobby, and front tables. We asked to pay for a meeting room so the adults can hang out. Rejected! Never in all the years my of hockey hotels has this ever happened! Never stay here if you would like to have fun after 10pm! Hockey teams stay away! They don’t appreciate spending 20k+.

The hotel was in the perfect location for our needs. We we're going to an event at the five points amphitheatre and it was a quick 5 minute Uber to the event. The gated parking was a nice way to keep the lot safe. The rooms were clean and the needs we're comfy. It was easy to find too.

The Double Tree by Hilton was wonderful! Very clean-has many of you know I’m a total clean freak! Plus you get fresh cookies n ice cold lemon water when you check in! ’s! There’s so many great things I could share about our stay but most importantly it’s so nice to enjoy a clean room after your adventures! Definitely recommend this place and will be back! ’s up for DT!

Excellent Service! I'll definitely be back to visit… absolutley loved the location. Double Tree (Irvine) is great if your just looking for some peace and quiet. My room was immaculate and the breakfast they served was decent considering it was included with my stay. There location is near the Irvine Spectrum … overall my stay was enjoyable.

Stay here every couple of weeks on business and have never had a bad experience. The restaurant has great food (love the new small bar menu addition and the scallop app is the best) and bartenders who seem to enjoy the many travelers they meet. The rooms are always as expected and the cookies/water are great. Free shuttle to work and back if you need it as well. Only reason for the 4 and not 5 is due to it is a bit pricey but it's in one of the busiest business areas and so its supply and demand. If you're traveling on personal trip the parking can add up as can the room depending on availability at that time in the area.

Elegant hotel, spacious rooms with fridge. Nice pool and exercise room. Great restaurant (esp. The burgers). Housekeeping staff are friendly and polite. Near shopping and restaurants (free shuttle but book in advance).

Wonderful Weekend Stay! I stayed here this past weekend, and had an amazing time. Every single member of that staff was exceptional and pleasant! Everyone I encountered was attentive, polite, and professional. I really enjoyed the free shuttle that will take you/pick you up from anywhere within 3 miles. The location was great, my room was lovely, comfy bed. I enjoyed the breakfast and everything else. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Irvine or Orange County!

Looked nicer when we booked the room, but it was still ok. Room smelled like like formaldehyde. We found the prior guest's sock under the chair at the desk in our room. Pool lights didn't work, and hot tub finish was so gritty/rough it hurt to sit on and snagged my suit. Toilet must've had a leak, it ran all night. Bed was comfy and loved the pillows.

Great place to stay. Love the breakfast in the morning. Place was nice and clean. Staff was nice and help out well.

I highly recommend the Doubletree Irvine Spectrum Hotel. The staff, particularly Eric at the registration desk were all very warm and welcoming. The service was excellent and the hotel was beautiful and well maintained.

As reward members we ended up being upgraded and we're also chosen as guest of the day which was cool. They were very nice, even though we were coming in very late.

Hotel is clean and modern. But a surprise $21 parking fee is unacceptable. The parking fee is not disclosed during booking or on the website and once you get there you have no choice but to pay it. If they want to charge a large parking fee, fine — but that should be disclosed before booking.

This hotel has a great location right next to the highway and Irvine Spectrum Center. Rooms seemed a bit dated and need updating. Shuttle service is nice but needs some coordination. Onsite restaurant is decent. Breakfast has limited choices but there really isn't anything close by that's open early in the morning.

Excellent service and with an awesome salt water heated pool. They let us check in early and leave late at no extra charge. The highlight of our stay was that pool; the water is heated to the point of being warm, not just to take out the chill. Only drawback was neither parking ($21) nor breakfast were included.

Bathrooms need be refreshed, but great staff.

Satisfied on view and cleanliness until something of mine went missing during my trip. Cleaning lady said she must have thrown it away and they refunded my early check in of $25 which didn’t really solve the issue. But before that I loved it.

The hotel is very accommodating. They checked us in at 5am, and didn't charge us for early check in. Not only that, the pillows are very comfortable and rooms very clean. It was a pleasant night here at the double tree by Hilton in Irvine.

I recommend the chicken flautas african. Delicious!

The check in was very professional and friendly. Did not have to wait in line at all. Room was super clean and well appointed. The only thing I didn't like was $21 per day for parking. Yikes@

I put hotel rooms out to bid for our team. This hotel came back with a bid of $119.00 per night. When the team decides to book our rooms with this hotel they say that they made a mistake and will not honor what they submitted to us for a bid on rooms. They should be ashamed of themselves! You do not give someone something and then take it back! This is a group of dishonest people. Do not stay here. If they do this, what else will they do? SHAME ON YOU!

I really like this hotel. It is the only really nice place to stay in North Irvine. Rooms are big, clean, updated and quiet. Decor is fresh and clean. Staff us ever so helpful. I'm allergic to down and they changed out everything in my room so that I wouldn't get sick. There's a small restaurant on site and you are only minutes from The Spectrum and the train station. There's always fresh citrus water to drink and if course you just have to have the chocolate chip cookies!

Room was awesome, service great. The breakfast could use some work, but can't beat the location. Didn't have dinner at the restaurant, so can't really judge that. Pool area was clean, as was rest of hotel. Nightly parking fee was a little steep. Warm cookie was a nice touch. In room coffee could be stepped up.

The hotel is lovely. I was there for a boutique Christmas fair. The staff were attentive and friendly. And I loved the fruit infused water. Nice touch.

Rooms are clean and not cramped. The lobby area furniture is nice. Convenient location with shuttle service available to and from John Wayne airport. Restaurant food is surprisingly very good! The bread is delicious and so are the entrees.

Great stay. Helpful staff. The tap were hard to make and hot water wasn't available after 12. Food was good although the menu was short. Overall, a good stay.

I have stayed at this property multiple times in the last couple years, and it has never disappointed. The quality of service, the clean and inviting rooms and grounds, and friendliness of the staff have always been at the highest level. It is with every stay that I leave even more impressed and thankful for how well I am treated. Ashley M is without a doubt the best example of this, and has set a new bar for me. She has gone above and beyond to be both welcoming, and helpful. Thank you Ashley for making my recent stay the best experience ever!

Good for business meetings.

The hotel is located roughly a mile from the Spectrum. Upon arrival, the staff seemed to be in a state of distress that seemed to be due to an influx of unexpected guests using the lobby as their own barroom. Other than that, the service was great. Or Parkinson's was comped, we were given plenty of water and cookies upon arrival, and responded to some odd requests (I needed to borrow a set of flathead screwdrivers to repair a bike tire). The only negative was the pool area was not cleaned overnight. Lots of used towels, empty drinks, and trash about.

It was family trip. My mom came from other country to visit and my brother came from Arizona. Booked two rooms. I got my room. Once my brother got there they ddint have any room. Even he had a reservation. They send him to a hotel in different city. Almost 20 mins drive.
Basically our family trip end up with nothing.
AC was to loud. We couldnt really sleep with a baby.
Everytime ac was going to start working my baby woke up.
They had a false alarm at 7:30 am.
I am just not happy with this hotel.

Rooms are spacious and nicely updated. Restaurant where breakfast is served it's a little small, but had a nice selection of cold and hot foods. Service at reception was friendly. $19 charge for parking. Cookies are always a treat. Location is situated within a business Park near the Irvine spectrum. Easy access to 5/405 fwys.

The hotel is lovely. I normally get breakfast with my rate when I stay at a Hilton hotel but the Doubletree did not provide this. I also had to pay 19.99 per day for parking. Everything else was perfect. Clean, nice, roomy, and convenient access to local businesses.

Excellent hotel, very good access, the rooms are very good and are extremely spacious. The attention is good but I had problems on two occasions with shipments that came to the reception. Detail not least of which is the cost of parking. Since there are increased the of the room. The menu of the restaurant is not very good.

Staff is great! And the rooms are beautiful. Pool area is nice and kept clean. Ballroom is great for large parties as well. The rooms are pricy for good reason. Well worth it.

The breakfast buffet was even a step above what I'd consider a "great" one. The hotel shuttle is great for easy transport nearby. And the rooms have outlets easily accessible by the bed for easy charging.

The hotel is very simple but the staff is very helpful. The parking was difficult, and the event I attended was not clearly announced, so that I knew where to go. The bathroom was clean and lime I said the staff very friendly.

Excellent all around service. Eugene our shuttle Driver was always on time, helpful, and overall we had an excellent experience. The rooms are clean, gym is nice and had free weights as well as machines. This was a business trip but it would be an excellent choice for a clean, safe stay with family.

This place is amazing. The staff are super friendly, the food is amazing, and the rooms are very nice. Highly recommend this place to stay and host events.

We enjoyed our stay here. Had a nice view overlooking the freeway and the mountains beyond them. We aren't honors members but I thought the service was fine, employees and staff were friendly. However, I don't understand the $19 charge for parking per night and $20 breakfast buffets. We had two cars, but the Guest Service Agent that checked us in was kind enough to only charge us for one car. As with breakfast, I thought it was usually complementary at most hotels of this size… Anyways, I would definitely recommend this hotel, but don't expect free parking or complementary breakfast. P. S. The cookies were bomb!

Came to the Doubletree for a Board of Games event. The space was nice, but we were running low on chairs at times. After the bar closed up, there was no access to water that was a bit frustrating. All that being said, the space looked great and the food was good. It was a pity we had to get out at midnight, because I was having a lot of fun.

Upon check in on April 8 2016 @ 11am two front desk ladies was very nice! The best customer service ever! I would recommend this place! And the bar area the workers are very friendly too! What more can I say! Love this place! Thank you Mika for the best customer service ever.

I stayed at the Doubletree Irvine as part of a wedding party. Initially, the front desk seemed a bit confused about some of the details, but everything regarding the stay was very nice and accommodating. The shuttle service, especially returning from the wedding, was more than excellent.

Doubletree at Irvine spectrum. It was ok. Had to request the room to be freshened becausebthey didn't do it when we we were out of the room from 9am to 3pm. We requested new towels and the room to be freshened, told them we were leaving for dinner and would like new towels, etc. Came back from dinner and no one had been here, had to call for towels again, the lady came by without towels to ask what we needed. Not awesome.

Front desk staff were helpful and courteous during check-in, room and common hotel spaces were all clean and you can tell the hotel is newer based on how little wear and tear is visible. Parking fee is steep, $19 a night, but I suppose to be expected for an L. A. Suburb. Bed was extremely comfortable and the fitness facility was adequately equipped (standard treadmills, bikes, dumb bells and cable machine). Would stay here again if I was in need of a hotel in this area in the future.

Hotel was easy to access off of I-5. Accommodations were sufficient but nothing overly amazing about it. Breakfast buffet was great and front desk service was prompt and welcoming.

The front desk people were all super nice and helpful and the room was relatively nice as well. We had a drink at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and made a good Manhattan. The location was fine as well, I was hoping we'd be a little closer to the mall as we went to a wedding after-party at the Yard House and were hoping to be able to walk home. The best part about staying at the Doubletree though is the cookies!

Was only here for a work meeting. The meeting hall was nice and cozy. There's the cookies of course, make sure to get on eveytime you visit. The food and beverages are good as well We had coconut tempura shrimp.

Great visit! They took great care of me from the greeting and throughout my stay. The rooms are nice, clean and the beds are comfortable. It's also absolutely silent at night which is fantastic. I'd recommend staying here, especially for business due to its proximity to everything, great shopping and dining.

Rooms were outdated and bathrooms were one step above a holiday Inn express. There's $6 bottles of water in the room if you get thirsty. And there's a nice $19 fee for Self parking, not even valet. Overrated.

Great room, food and service. Only thing I didn't like was it's not within walking distance of local shops. However, they do offer shuttle service.

Its a nice place to stay and love the cleanliness, however you have to pay for parking. They comped it for us which was nice but our bathroom door would lock and we would have to call maitenance to have them unlock it. The service was quick and fast but I wished they would give us a different room.

Well this hilton is meh at best… the beds are nice and comfy usually, the pillows suck feels like you dont have a pillow at all… they will try and charge you for parking at the end of your stay. I thought it was odd I saw a charge on my credit card after the hostess asked for it and said " we just need this for incidentals" I thought oh ok if I need something they will charge it to my card… No, this means they put a hold on your card for 20 per day for each day of your stay and then we you check out they indiscreetly say oh, that will be 80 dollars for parking! Im not sure if other hotels in Ca do this it seems kinda underhanded, I wont stay here again… I paid a little more for the hilton and found they try and skimp on everything,, the coffee, the toilet paper, I have never in my life seen toilet paper so thin and useless, fold it 6 times it still sucks and breaks and feels like your wiping with a plastic bag. The thermostat didnt work…

Average hotel with great service; though the reason for my 5-star review is the unbelievably great food I enjoyed. Based on the bartender's recommendation I had the Ginger Sweet Potato Fries and the Mango & Shrimp Jicama Tacos. These two dishes might be the best Sweet Potato Fries and Shrimp Tacos I've ever had. Can't believe this is hotel food. Just stupid good.

David Lucey and all the staff really took care of us. Great hotel in a perfect location to hit the hot spots in Irvine Spectrum and close to the beach. The shuttle picked up my wife from the airport, checked her in and took her to Irvine Spectrum so she could kill a few hours before I got there. The room was clean and up to date. I would definitely stay there again.

I don't even know where to start. Traveled across country for a wedding. We are HHonors members and had never experienced anything but the best at a Hilton property. The should take their name off this hotel. 1) we check in, we had made the reservation under our platinum Amex but didn't bring that card on this trip, they needed us to provide a card just in case for incidentals. We travel the world and this is normal but… by the time we get to the room, they already charged our card for full length of stay, taxes and 20% incidentals. We had never authorized a charge and never had a hotel do this before. Try to call the front desk but phones were not working. Go downstairs to find out why we were being charged at checkin and not check out. The answer we got (btw, we are an interracial couple) "we do that to make sure you have money to pay your bill". That was one of most racist, insulting comments I have ever heard. I am a Managing Director at a Fortune 500 company and my wife holds a banking license in two states. We did finally get them to correct. 2) Finally get to the room and we find hairs on the bed. 3) entire stay, phones never get fixed 4) bridal party getting ready and they have a bottle of wine they need opened. No corkscrews provided in room so I go down to ask the bartender if they could open it for us. They wanted a $10 fee to open the bottle of wine.

I recently spent 2 nights at the hotel over the 4th of July holiday weekend. It was my first visit to this hotel and my stay was quiet and lovely. Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping staff were courteous, helpful and pleasant. I will be back next year. Thank you for making my stay a great experience. The gawd damn cookies! 24 hour gym. Pool and hot tub. 24 hour place to buy snacks. Comfy beds. Friendly workers. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Nice simple rooms, nice staff, clean and quiet, but the parking at $15 per day makes a $145 room $160 per night as there is no street parking. + the internet charges for an internet that is dial up speed, and thats after paying for the premium connection?, Its all but unusable if you are a business traveler who needs to share files etc. Internet this slow is a deal breaker for me.

Could not be more happy with a hotel stay. The staff were very helpful and beyond friendly. We had some beach towels that got soaked at the beach. The hotel had a washer and dryer for customer use which was great, the only problem was we had to leave for a concert before the towels were dry. Not a problem at all! When we returned the towels were folded neatly in our room. The shuttle drivers are wonderful. Especially Eugene! The restaurant serves delicious food. The parmesan truffle fries are to die for! Can't wait to visit again.

Worst customer service from the second we pulled up. We drove down for a wedding and got into the area a little early so we called ahead to see if we could check-in early and were informed it would cost $25 extra so we decided to kill some time, had lunch walked around. And came to checkin at 2:30 (30 min early according to our printed reservation). When we pulled up we learned it's a $15 a night for self parking. Then we go to checkin and Aneta pulls up our reservation. Right off the bat she says it's a $25 early checkin fee and that checkin is not until 4pm. (Our printed reservation says after 3pm) After discussing the fee and time frame it turns out she had put a note on our file from when we called in earlier and would not budge. Being tired we finally said ok and she have us cookies. Wtf cookies? We get to the room and it smells like cigarettes so we have to go down and change the room. Did she do it on purpose? Unfriendly staff with a bunch of extra pointless fees ($40 extra) and this is a hilton hotel? Where's the customer service? I'm a upset customer.

Great property. Very nice accommodations. Helpful staff. Free shuttle to the spectrum center with lots of restaurants. Easy access to freeways.
