We had a wonderful time and would book again. We had one incident on the first night but it was taken care of quickly, no other problems after that. It was close to everything that we needed and quiet. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay. The staff were wonderful and friendly, that’s always a plus.

I haven't stayed at this Motel 6 in years and let me say this, G6 (corp. Parent of Motel 6) has brought an Amazing improvement into this property both in terms of quality of service and the room product. Attached you will see I was so impressed by my room's decor that I took a couple of professional pictures to show my friends at Choice Hotels how to renovate a room correctly… This experience was Amazing! You just need to establish or provide a rewards program for us regular business travelers and I'll be on-board. As a photographer of commercial buildings and interiors, I stay about 50+ nights a year, almost all of them with Choice Hotels. This sincerely will go down as one of the nicest facilities I've ever stayed at (and that includes Marriott. ) When I am in Palm Springs again (either for business or leisure), and not just due to the fact there really isn't a "Choice" set of options there, I'm definitely planning to make this place… my FIRST and only Choice. Wonderful quality and service for the price point. Front desk staff super helpful and accommodating. Close to Starbucks and a good bakery… walk to many conveniences. Quality lounge chairs by the pool. Simple but good, especially if traveling with pets. No extra fees are a bonus.

Very basic motel. I wouldn't normally stay at a motel but this was the only place that stayed true to their normal nightly prices while all other hotels almost tripled their prices during a big conversation in the area. The hardwood floor rooms were nice and clean. Disappointed with the dirty hallways, and no extra blankets, shampoo or coffee maker in the rooms. I guess some rooms do have micro and fridge so ask the nice front desk staff for what you want in the room upon checking in. I recommend if traveling low budget.

When you book a room at a Motel 6, the no-frills budget hotel guarantees a clean, comfortable room at the lowest price of any national chain. You will find their motels at over 1, 200 locations in the United States and Canada. The Motel 6 Palm Springs Downtown sits on the edge of downtown Palm Springs, in a prime location. This is a big hotel in the Warm Sands/Sunny Dunes neighborhoods, and you can walk to the shops, clubs, bars, cafes, and restaurants downtown. There is a 76 gas station, and a Starbucks, Jack-in-the-Box, and KFC fast food restaurant, practically next door, And a shopping center across the street. The rooms are standard issue Motel 6, and my room was small, clean, quiet and functional. The pillows here were like sleeping on a cotton ball. In other words practically non-existent. The air conditioning worked well and the flat screen HDTV had lots of channels to watch, including HBO. The bathroom had a tub/shower and there wasn't a hair dryer. Even though the hotel was full, my room on the third floor was relatively quiet. Wi-Fi is available for an extra fee. When you stay at Motel 6, you need to provide your own toiletries, soap, and shampoo, and hair dryer. There is a coin laundry, several vending machines with cold drinks and snacks, and a microwave on the ground floor. There is a nice south facing swimming pool to soak up the rays of the sun, and a Jacuzzi. I would stay at this well maintained property again.

Good location since it is close to everything, but very overpriced. There was no complementary shampoo or conditioner, no mini fridge, no complementary breakfast. The room itself was nice with hardwood floors and a comfortable bed. The staff was really nice.

Value for the price. Well laid out room. Convenient to town. Nice deep pool. Very nice grounds. Good for dog. Concerned and watchful staff.

We were very happy with the location of our room. The staff was very friendly. We received extra towels quickly. The only negative was that there was a lot of dog hair under the bed. Definitely will stay there again.

The only positive was the night time manager. She was polite and efficient. The bed had the flimsiest mattress and the sheets were so rough, I think they were thread count 5. Yes, 5. Despite not having carpet, the floor was dirty. We were first given a non-smoking room in the smoking building; what? The room we were finally given smelled like it had once had smoking in it, although we were adamant that the room must be non-smoking because of my breathing issues.

The front desk staff were so polite and welcoming. The room was clean. The location was perfect for me. The blankets were stained, which really was the only downside. I would have given five stars if not for that. Did I mention how great the staff was?

Outside of my keys being stolen from my hotel room. No fault of staff. It was a pleasant stay. Room was clean. Some repairs in room can be improved. Shower head was super low I'm 5'7'. Staff was super accommodating. When I was in a panic when I realized my keys where gone. They held my things until locksmith came. Overall a good experience.

Location is wonderful. Staff was super nice. Clean, small, spartan room. The kind of thing you'd expect staying at a motel 6! Negatives were that the room smelled like someone didn't flush the toilet when we arrived. We left the door and window open for a while and it got rid of the smell. Later at night when we came back to the room, it sounded like someone above us was moving furniture in their room and was really loud but they eventually stopped. We were in the front of the building so could hear people arriving in the parking lot late at night blasting music from not so great car stereos and hanging out in the lot with their 'great tunes' on to share with the rest of the visitors of motel 6 I suppose.

Our no-smoking room smelled like it used to be a smoking room or shared air conditioning or something with nearby smoking rooms. The pool, while nice, had bus and leaves and stuff in it and no pool cleaner net was available to use. The location was good, but given the quality of the amenities and room, the price was a lot more than I'd have liked to pay.

It is not 5 star so don't keep expectations high, but for the price it is just what that is needed, there is a small refrigerator in the. Fourth, it has laundry facilities and micro-wave shared, not complaints.

The room was very clean. People at the front desk were very nice. We had a late check in around 9pm. Beds were very comfortable. It was great to wake up in the scenic mountains of Palm Springs. This motel is in a nice quiet local area. Would stay here again.

Nice property, room was clean and fully functional as expected. Only issues I found had to do with the shower. Height of shower-head is too low, water pressure way too low and may have been from a limiting shower head and the consistency with hot water. The hot water would hold for a few minutes and then dip in temperature. This may have to do with water pressure, or from other occupants usage but it was unexpected.

I canceled my reservation on January 11 by calling the hotel. The woman I spoke with confirmed it had been cancelled and a cancellation notice appeared automatically on my Google Calendar so I assumed it had been cancelled. I unfortunately did not ask for a cancellation number. My Visa card was charged! As soon as I received an email notifying me the charge has appeared on my Visa I called the Motel 6 Downtown Palm Springs and explained the situation. I forwarded the cancellation notice on my Google calendar to the motel per instruction from the man I spoke to. I am about to check my Visa to make sure I have received a refund. I frequently say in Motel 6 around the U. S. And find them to be very clean and a good value. But I was very disappointed in my recent experience.

Loved my room. Very quiet looking out to palm trees. Had micro wave and fridge and two double beds. Cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating. Best of all the location close to bus stop and nearby hiking trails. This Motel is a bit old but the price is right! Also enjoyed the Poole after a hard days hike.

Good location and cleaner than most Motel 6, higher price also. They boast "heated pool all year" which is rare for Motel 6, okay worth the extra money right? Define heated as the pool is ice cold and no one can go in. Second big problem, they literally turn the ICE MACHINES (3) OFF unless you go in and ask them to turn them on they have signs posted. Claiming that people come in off the streets in the AM and take the ice, actually they do this 24/7. They confirmed the ice machines do not make ice when OFF, that explains why most of the time they are empty. When you beg for the ice after waiting in line they hit the switch that has a timer and you get about 60 seconds to get ice if they turn it on at the first request or back in line. SAD, after I pay $2.00 for a soda I would like some ice and not a handful. Totally disappointed in the PS downtown location for playing these games and misleading customers. Won't be back spent 3 days there and played the ice game, simply tacky. Charge for the ice and drop your rates if you want to keep the ice machines off to save money : (

Good rates for the area. It was noisy and the drunks we're screening at each other the first night. We finally called the night manager. Everything worked and the shower was hot. Room was fairly clean. Parking was good and right down the street is an ihop. They have a pool. But I did not use it. If you find this review helpful please like the review.

What a great place! On Christmas Eve we were welcomed in, with no reservations! Lovely room. Polite and efficient staff. They even helped us find a place for dinner!

Great location. The decor was very modern and nice. Great customer service. Only thing was I wish I had been told they had hot water behind the front desk so I could make tea.

A small dresser would have been nice, as well as free basic internet; the floor was very dirty although I like that it was hardwood style and not carpet. The bed was comfortable, A/C worked well, bathroom area very nice, water pressure in shower very low but water was hot. No mini fridge, no microwave. Overall property was well maintained, would stay here again for sure!

The rooms are very small but the location is good. It's a budget hotel and you get what you pay for. The Interaction with the front desk was brief but pleasant, they were nice and efficient. There were a lot pet dogs at the hotel with many of them left alone in rooms barking non stop (thankfully not near my room). I think the hotel should revisit their pet policy.

Nice Hotel, clean, nice Stuff. Close to downtown: you can walk and be there in 15 Minutes. But: Internet for extra money and only one device same time no go! And quality of air from air conditioner was not so good.

I have stayed at this Motel 6 location repeatedly for over 30 years. I love the location and the rooms. However, despite numerous complaints in recent years, your Internet service is pretty darn (can't say the other word, apparently) bad. I HAVE to have the Internet. There are times I've stayed in other nearby motels only because their Internet is so much better. I keep hoping you will change how you do it. I've tried both basic and premium. This time, I stayed for three nights. The basic was bad the first night there, so that night I asked to upgrade to premium. I thought I'd be paying $2 more. No, I had to pay $5 more, despite already paying $3 for basic — — $8 for the same night. I didn't do it. So, I just kept the same basic Internet for $2.99 the next two nights. Once I get in a room with all my clothes, boots, cell phone accessories and computer, I hate pulling it all out and starting at a new motel. I just decide to grin and bear it — — but, so, so disappointed.

Cheap. Clean and modern inside the room. Close to the center and with pool and jacuzzi.

Rating would have been higher. Initial check in went smooth, got the room I asked for, but one problem. I asked for a nonsmoking room, it's labeled nonsmoking, but a prior guest must have smoked in there for days. It was in the bed, walls, curtains and so on. I would leave the room and people were asking me if I was a heavy smoker. I had to mention I'm allergic to smoke, it's from my motel room. I would like to throw in that I haven't been to work since leaving the motel. I've been having daily breathing treatments and having to take medicine for my allergic reaction to the smoke from a "nonsmoking room". Which brings me to my second day. I made a reservation thru the M6 App. I went to complain about the room to the front desk and change rooms. A young fellow dark hair and glasses. I couldn't see his name tag, refuse to change my room, even with a new reservation, in a virtually empty Motel. He more or less humiliated me in front of other guest. The only thing I could do was ask the housekeeper to use whatever they use to mask the smoke. The same thing that I smelled when I came into the room. The reason I didn't smell smoke when I first arrived. I figured after he took my payment, I would be stuck there anyway. After being humiliated and not having money to go anywhere else, I just settled in. I hope someone actually reads this and does something about it. Not the worst thing that's ever happened to me but it's up there.

Worst experience I've ever had at a motel 6. The room reeked of smoke including the pillows and blanket and chair. The office said if the cigarette tray is turned upside down it means no smoking. Well apparently the last guest just turned the ash tray right side up and puffed away. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. My clothes all smelled and I had to wear them to dinner that night. It was fine for what it is. Good price. The city of Palm Springs has been infested by small black beetles, to no fault of the hotel, but the room still had some dead ones laying on the floor from when they sprayed for them. There was enough space under the door for them to get in as well. The air conditioner was not powerful enough to actually cool the room down enough in the 105° heat — definitely needs an upgrade. The bed was fine, but there was no dresser or drawers. There's a bottle cap opener mounted to the wall by the sink, which I think tells you about what you need to know about this location. I definitely can't complain about the price!

I stay at Motel 6's across the country, mainly because they're pet friendly and budget priced, so I'm very familiar with their operation. This M6 was probably the best I've ever stayed a night! Everything was clean as a whistle, much nicer pillows than most M6, beds were made with seamed hospital folds, extra towels… I was impressed! The night clerk at 2 a. M. Was overly friendly and accommodating and allowed me into the registration counter area and not shuffling paperwork back and forth through the bullet proof bank teller window as most must do at that hour of night.

Our air conditioning went out, so I called at 11pm and spoke with a very pleasant woman saying she had a 1 room 2 beds available. We arrived about 30 minutes later and was greeted by the same person, she was prompt, pleasant and we were in our room within 5 minutes. She showed us where the vending machines were and said she had a refrigerator if we needed. Love the upgraded hotel, vinyl or laminate flooring (no carpets), great beds and very clean! The next day we checked out about 8am to check our house. Our air was still not working so at 9am I called back to see if we could come and stay until noon checkout. The very nice man said yes, he pulled our key and we returned to rest for another 2 hours. We promptly checked out before noon. After a terrible 11 hours the day before sitting in a house of 95 degrees while people tried to fix our central air, the staff at Motel 6 really helped to ease our discomfort. We live in a resort/visitor city in the desert, so there are many hotels with many amenities — and varying prices. For $68 total including tax, the downtown Palm Springs Motel 6 was exactly what we needed — very clean, nice bedding, super comfortable beds, a great basic hotel. Perfect. Now, do not expect shampoos, conditioners, microwave, refrigerator or room safe — you are not paying for the extras. In the vending machine room, there is a washing machine and dryer if needed.

Clean, nice pool (although we didn't use it, just viewed it). Exceptional staff: friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and swift. Quiet at nights. Refurbished and comfortable. We use motels as a place to hang our hats, not a place to hang out, so we found this Motel6 easy to get to, easy to find other attractions from, quiet, clean and an excellent value for the do-re-mi.

Good Motel6 with a pool, quiet A/C and nice rooms. Staff was nice but we had to go ask for bath towels. Price are good for the quality. Rooms are the new design that I don't like… orange. They really don't want us to sleep late! it's the fast food of motels! but no microwave or fridge. That's stay a good choice for small budgets. I would recommend.

Great service, great downtown location, good price. Nice room, except that the toilet backed up twice, and their maintenance guy wasn't available, so each time I borrowed a plunger from the front desk. I was able to unclog it the first time, but not the second. The plumbing has been a problem here before.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night, we were in town for a friends birthday party at Zelda's nightclub. The room was okay for an over-niter, it was close to downtown, the casino, and shopping. (walking distance). Hotel staff and check in was great. Not a bad experience.

This is my place to stay. The staff knows me by name there, and that warms my heart every time. They have an excellent staff, extremely customer oriented, and each one brings in their own unique style. The motel, perfect cleanliness every time. That I like. I enjoy staying there, just like home. The remodeling makes me comfortable. This is my motel.

Very sorry wife and I stayed at this location. Found bed bugs/insects on my bed and pillow in the morning, showed the pillow with insects to the check in office and they did not remedy the situation or offer an apology. The noise from the heater/Ac was terrible, we could not get any sleep. When we tried to cancel the reservation for the 2nd night, we were told the computer was down. We were then told that the reservation was through Expedia and we had to call them. Next time we will stay someplace else.

The room was very clean when I first walked in. Then when I checked the beds, as I do with all other hotels/motels, I found broken glass under the bed sheets. It was very odd and made me nervous, but the staff came right away to clean it up and made me feel more comfortable. I even received a discount at checkout! You get what you pay for, and this place certainly exceeded my expectations. I would recommend to my friends.

We've stayed at many Motel 6's around the country (due to having dogs) and this is one of the tops! We've been staying at this Motel 6 for many years now and it's gotten better, especially due to the great leadership and customer service of General Manager Clinton and the wonderful staff there. Each staff member is professional, warm and accommodating. The rooms are very nice since they've been remodeled and always clean, and the location can't be beat. A walk from Starbucks, across the street from a delicious French bakery and quick walk down the boulevard to Downtown PS.

Clean, retro styling. Looks nice and well kept. $120 a night is an expensive room to charge Wi-Fi as an additional rate. 111 was high traffic in the evening and made coming in late from the interstate 10 a bit of a headache.

Their "breakfast" is just coffee. The rooms are nice, but offer no fridge or microwave. At least not in the Queen room. Bed is really firm and the pillows are very soft. The room looks great though and the staff is very friendly.

Room was clean and was very pleased with the responsiveness of the front desk whenever I would call or stop by to ask for something. Great to be able to have someone help you right away. Location was convenient to the convention center and downtown. I don't usually stay on the first floor, so I was a little worried about "security" the first night, but realized it was a pretty secure place (lots of cameras) and the neighbors were quiet!

Internet service SUCKS! and that is becuase I paid primium… $4.99… Women long hair found all over the room… Heater did not really work, Old building… Just got the location going for it…

The motel6 in Palm Springs is in a wonderful location. Walking distance to a plethora of restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful. However the room was lacking in amenities like shampoo and an iron. If that changed I could give this hotel a high rating for the price.

I love this place, very clean, when air conditioner had problem, they came very fast to fix it. That was great. Happy new year!

Convenient location, clean, adequate, inexpensive, good Wi-Fi and friendly staff. Free coffee in the mornings, but you have to get dressed first. No µwave or fridge, but plenty of ice down the walk. Pets allowed! — Gil.

Front Desk crew are GREAT! Location is perfect for shopping and partying. Rooms are consistently clean and kept up to date. I am a regular visitor and have always had a positive experience here.

Have had to stay here for business on several occasions for business. Overall an acceptable experience. The staff is generally nice. Rooms are clean — have had several plumbing issues on different visits and have had to change rooms. No free Wi-Fi here, they want additional money for that. You will have to go to Starbucks for free Wi-Fi.

Very nice for Motel 6, as always great when traveling with dogs. Location is perfect for downtown Palm Springs. Starbucks is a block away and our favorite breakfast place, Bit Of Country, is a short walk up the street, as well as many other places near by. Staff was great when we arrived early and were able to get us a room right away. Then when found a problem in our room, didn't have the staff available to fix the problem so found us a new room immediately, great job. Motel 6 is obviously not a 5 star hotel, but this is a 5 star Motel 6.

A well maintained motel in Palms Springs downtown served me and my cousin temporarily while our Highway 1 tour in 1998 as overnight home.

You can choose between rooms in the ground floor, as well as the first and second floor. You are accessed from outside via a portico on the upper floors.
We were on the first floor and have, apart from the Kings size beds, enjoy views of the pool. You could get free ice cube at the reception, the pool and the rooms were clean. Price was totally ok — 38 USD per night.
There is a diner, inviting for breakfast and various restaurants where you at lunch or in the evening can go in walking distance easy reach. For shopping, you should use but the car.
Since it is rather the Californian pensioners paradise, do expect not much hustle and bustle or night life. Who would like to relax and enjoy Sun alone is however correct.

Excellent value! My 2 concerns. A quieter room and "clean" sheets were happily addressed. The front desk even called my room to check that everything was satisfactory. Also, only about $15 to the airport. Free morning coffee in the foyer but also a Starbuck's next door. No worries about fire as all doors open to the outside. Don't forget to ask for the senior's rate and do walk along the outside balconies to marvel at the mountain views.
