Let me start off with the manager Bob. He did everything to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. Location on the lake was beautiful. Geese, otters and plenty of fish jumping. The facilities we're awesome. Bbq on lake front. A pier to fish from. A gazebo over BBQ pit with fishing right there. I am going to go there anytime I am in Clearlake. This has nice rooms on top of everything else. Vista Del Lago is TRUELY a diamond in the rough. Thanks Bob. For E Payne.

It was hot in Clearlake, but thanks to air conditioning, high winds, and a swamp cooler put by a well put together Tiki bar my family and I loved our trip. There is a functional foosball table and pool table. The Tiki bar is set up just right for a big gathering to a simple family only trip. There is access to a pier that has a dock on the water, but be careful about both choppy waters testing your sea legs on the doc and a healthy amount of spiders. There is also a stairway that leads directly to the lake, and has a step the extends about a foot or two under the water. The step is either half a foot or around a full foot above the bottom of the shallower waters of the lake. Jet skis can be temporarily tied to the dock provided, but it is not a recommendation to leave them over night. The best thing is to launch them only on days you plan on riding them, and taking them back out of the water. The jet skis have to be taken to a dock with proper access to be launched, but it isn't too far to drive to and from everyday. The pier is great for fishing, especially with the psuedo dock on the water. Catfish bite like crazy, from my experience, and bass are jumping all day to remind you that they are able to be caught as well. There are a lot of spiders, but they seemed pretty content to devour the armies of gnats and bugs that threaten to ruin any beverage taken outside without a lid.

Very cozy and relaxing. It needs a little cleaning up but for the most part I had a wonderful time with my wife and dogs.

My favorite place to stay! Now that I have a home in Clearlake, I recommend them to everyone. Friendly, clean, cheerful little cabins. Owners and management fantastic!

I love the views, location, and beautiful rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and will return. It is a quiet and relaxing place.

I love the beautiful rooms, great rates, how it transports you to another place it's so quiet and peaceful and relaxing. The staff are great! The location is very convenient close to stores, restaurants and parks. Just love the place.

The house at Vista Del Lago along with the yard and everything in the yard is the best feature about the resort. The property includes two hot tubs, one that is accessible in the yard of the house. The other is accessible from unit Our room is a two bedroom with a kitchenette. This is our second year here and our second year in unit 7. For most people this unit may be less than what you expect. It isn't dirty where it counts, beds and bathroom. It is a bit dated although it does have newer furniture from last year. I do like fine establishments (Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Marriott, etc. ) and taking this for what it is, I'll come back here and enjoy myself. If you want comfort and absolutely updated and clean, keep searching. If you are good with clean where it counts (read not updated / not renovated) rooms, check this place out. Beware of you or anyone in your group is picky, check elsewhere.

I I'm here every month I'm treated with respect have everything I ask for and stuff her awesome and I don't know when I couldn't ask for a better mitel stay or better place to stay with any hotels or motels around here they have great prices and I wouldn't recommend anywhere else to stay except El Grande Best Western hotel.

We came here for our honeymoon and the hostess was very accommodating. We told them we were on our honeymoon and they upgraded us and left snacks and drinks in our room along with a congratulatory card. I let them know I was pregnant so instead of a bottle of champagne they left sparkling cider with two wine glasses in a bucket of ice and filled our private hot tub with lukewarm water instead of hot which was very thoughtful. Great lake views and recreational area with badminton, fire pits, a pier, and romantic lighting. We had our two dogs with us which they were fine with and there was a nice grassy area for them to run around. Would stay here again; was a great deal for the price.

Bob the owner is a good guy rented rooms from him a lot of times rooms are clean and place is a nice place to relax.

From the moment we arrived, the manager made us feel at home. The cottage was fantastic! Yes it was old school but artistically decorated. Very clean. The kitchenette had everything! But that's only the beginning. Their yard in the back was a touch of HAWAII! BBQ, Hot tub, A tiki house, hammock, so much to do. The owner was there and was wonderful. They even provided pizza for the guests! My family enjoyed themselves. We stayed an extra night just because. Thanks so much! This is a diamond of a place.

Paid for the one and only room with the hot tub 138 dollars a night and could not use it because of the, chemicals they move me to another room can I ask for partial refund back of the room with the hot tub I was told by the owner no the owner is also very very sketchy some of the rooms some of the rooms need lots of work and attention to.

Best place for the money I've stayed in for a good, long while. Bob and his staff are amazing, kind, and good people. The cottage was clean, and the lakefront patio area had its own pier, boat launch, high tower, fire pit and wood fire oven. Excellent!

This place is so dirty and gross. The bed sheets had stains so I slept in my clothes. Thank god I brought my own pillow. The room had dirt and grime all over the floor. The bathroom was filthy. The bugs are rampant. During my stay the toilet clogged up, and the AC fell off the wall. I'd rather just sleep in my car than stay here again. Not to mention this place is located in Clearlake crackhead central. My recommendation is to pay a little more and stay somewhere else. I can't believe I paid my hard earned money to stay here. Disgusting!

I love the Vista del lago! With a wonderful colorful and awesome friendly atmosphere I rate it 5 stars. The cabins are cozy clean and delightful. Satalite with Netflix little bay Windows and full kitchen and little bbqs outside of every cottage as well as patio furniture it's just wow. Oh and how tucked away it is makes it a nice little place to just kick back and see the lake in its full potential awesome say just awesome.

I reserved a room a month in advanced, when I arrived on the reservation day after check in time (no parking available), my reservation was "lost" (paper work was on the front desk. ), and I was told the room I reserved does not exist, and to come back later, and maybe I would then be given a room, but only if they were open. (closed at 1:30 p. M. ). Ended up getting a better real down the road. Had to dispute all credit charges.

The experience we had at Vista del Lago Resort was extraordinaire. We stayed in one of the cottages that had a hot tub. Although, we did not take advantage of the hot tub we still had a most comfortable night. The cottage was clean and crisp. The atmosphere is wholesome and we found it to me very down home comfy. The courtyard area near the water gives you such a relaxing feeling while listening to the water as you sit by the fire pit drinking a glass of wine. We want to than Bob and Tori for being such wonderful owners and hosts. We had the best time and can’t wait for our next trip to Vista del Lago Resort in Clearlake. Thank you, Ed & Hilda.
