We did a waterfall tour of Oregon and eastern NorCal, and we went to the Rex Club in Burney for dinner. This is probably the “fanciest” restaurant in town, known for their steaks and a pretty decent sized menu with lots of homemade goodness. It’s got a bar, a pool table, and a nice dining room; it’s a two-person show with the nicest lady ever hosting, serving, and bartending, and the nicest dude ever manning the kitchen and tackling all the dishes while still making time to come out and ask how you liked the food. I loved chatting with them both. Dinner was absolutely delicious. They make a few different homemade breads each week, and this one came with fresh basil baked inside. Salad was fresh with yummy homemade bleu cheese dressing, but the ham and bean soup? Holy cow it was SO good and so hearty. The fettuccini Alfredo was really good, too. And my steak! This was the small ribeye, cooked perfectly medium rare, served with the tastiest sautéed zucchini, and a cheesy AF twice baked. Local Redding IPA was delish, not bitter at all, perfect for my palate. They even gave us some ribeye scraps to feed to the dogs. I freakin love this place! And it’s in the most beautiful area 🏔🖤🥩 I shared this with my local Humboldt Foodies group and not only were our members stoked on the pictures, we even had a few members say they’ve been here many times and they love it, and we even had a member currently in Burney who went for dinner the day I posted!
