My husband and I have been traveling for a couple of months and we've stayed at a lot of hotels. This has been the nicest hotel yet. The rooms are clean and look remodeled. The area is safe and clean as. Well. They don't charge for pets and the rate for the quality of room is the best you will find. The staff is nice and helpful. Expecially the housekeepers who greet us everyday with a smile. They offer free cappuccino and coffee, Wi-Fi and excellent cable selection. The grounds are well kept and they have beautiful selection of flowers around the building. If you can't tell already I'm very impressed.

Clean and nice rooms. AC works great! Doors don't seal well as you can see daylight around it. Toilet runs a little also. Definitely request the rooms facing the pool because if you are facing the highway, the trucks will keep you up as they are going 24/7!

The staff were friendly and quick on arrival. The room was clean and we had what we needed. A little noisy being off the highway but a good spot. Get there before 10pm if you want to find food in the area as the town "buttons" up tight then!

The office personal were 5 star. Coffee was good. Room clean. We stayed 3 nights. Came back to the room at 1 PM one day and found the sheets removed and the room cleaning ladies (2) were taking their lunch somewhere else. I mention this as it proved changing of sheets. I am rating this as 4 out of 5 stars because we were on the side of the freeway and it was somewhat noisy. I will stay here again.

This property had a very nice room, nice staff and the best WI-FI I've ever had in a Motel 6 (and it was FREE! ). However, the reservation process was very poor. I made a reservation online early in the day then made a follow up call to confirm and to point out my room needs. I am older and have problems with stairs to upstairs rooms because of some heavy luggage that I can't leave in the car. I was assured that I could have the first floor, non-smoking that I requested in the guest comments. I also called about 1 1/2 hours before arrival to let the on duty staff know that I was running late. I was told no problem. When I arrived, the clerk looked up my reservation, confirmed my ID and placed me in an upstairs room. When I asked about downstairs as I had requested, I was told they were all booked and that they don't assign rooms until the guest arrives. This begs the question that if you don't look at the room preferences until the guest arrives, why do you ask or why do we bother to respond. What is accomplished/ Especially given that I called twice to confirm and I still didn't get the type of room that I wanted. This is not isolated to this property. I have had the same thing happen before.

Motel 6 Central Buttonwillow, California is at a good location for us to stop there twice a year on our way from Sonoma County to Palm Springs. It is close to half way on this trip. The room is adequate, not great, and the beds are comfortable. Service at the desk is good & efficient. The price is good.

So, to be fair, we did not stay overnight at this motel. I was making reservations online and had no issues, booked a room for 1 hour away so we could get off the road for the night. Received my confirmation, everything good to go… Until arrival, when I was told she could not find the reservation. The gal wasn't very nice about it either. I gave her the confirmation number after she fumbled around for 2-3 minutes, then she tells me it was made for days in the future (obviously I would not have done that being 1 hour away). After about 6 minutes, I asked if we could just get a room for the night regardless of the reservation. I'm then told that they're sold out for the night… Rough experience overall.

Never have I been called in my room by front desk to be scolded… I have dogs and one tipped his food dish of wet food, I cleaned it then used a towel for the rest. After house keeping stopped by, I got a call. Told I shouldn't have used the towels for that. Guess next time I'll just leave the mess on the floor. Otherwise the room was not as clean as I would like. Ie hair in the corners, garbage by the tub and under the bed looks like it was never swept. Wifi is free but slow. Decor is awful but it's a cheap hotel, I don't expect much. Stay at your own risk.

This place is a travlers dream! The office clerks were very helpful and friendly. My room was clean and best of all my bed was super comfortable, really I slept so good no aches or pains this bed rates a 10! On top of that they served cappuccino and coffee in the morning, have plenty of hot water in the shower. Wrap that up with the great price and I give them a 5 star rating and if I'm ever going through that part of the state and need a place to rest my head I will be stopping in at the Motel 6 in Buttonwillow thats for sure.

I like the fact that there are no carpets in the rooms. They keep the place pretty clean and will go out of their way to keep you happy. Check online for their best room rates.

Negative: Walked in. Turned light on. Cockroaches went running! Basically only coffee in the morning (no juices). Vending machine area locked at 10 pm. Sheets all had a brown tinge. Positive: Good flow of hot water in shower. Reasonably priced.

The room was very clean and quite comfortable. The shower barely worked, though; water dripped and was too little water, and not very warm, to take a comfortable shower. It was quiet all night in spite of being off a major highway and freeway. The woman at the desk was friendly, efficient and generally helpful.

The room was clean when we arrived and it was what you would expect from a Motel 6. The shower/tub was clean but it didn't feel clean because there was permanent gunk on the walls near the corners (see photos). The shower head was lower than average. I am 5'10 and it was almost to low for me but my traveling partner is 6'3 so he had a challenge to take a shower. The reason for a low review is because we did not get any sleep. The window and door are paper thin so it was incredibly loud all night. We could hear people passing by our room at all hours of the night as if we had our door wide open. I would not recommend this Motel 6. For management, I was in room 215 if you would like to make some minor improvements.

Room was really nice and included a desk and chair, a refrigerator and a microwave. Location was perfect… Right off the freeway with lots of gas stations and restaurants. Some highway noice at the back, but otherwise great.

I was very disappointed in this Motel 6. I have stayed at many Motel 6s across the country on a regular basis for many, many years. I appreciate it being budget-friendly and although it is no-frills I usually know what to expect and I am okay with that. That being said, however, this particular location is run-down and in need of many things. I requested a ground level non-smoking room as I am a senior citizen and lugging luggage up flights of stairs is difficult. The person at the registration desk said all of the ground level rooms are smoking rooms. Why is that? On my way to my room I noticed numerous outdoor traps for rats. I understand you are trying to deal with an unpleasant situation. But then I get into my room upstairs and see that there is at least an inch and a half opening all across the bottom of the door. Feeling uneasy about that I stuffed one of the room towels into the opening. In the room was a rusty, corroded, bent-out-of-shape luggage rack as well as a desk chair with the seat repaired with duct tape and splits along the sides. Such neglected furnishings really bring the place down. Also, most of the rooms face the noisy freeway which is very close. I would not have slept at all had I not brought earplugs with me. The many times I have stayed in Buttonwillow I would always stay at the other location and had no complaints. I was always curious why there were two locations in such a small area.

The rooms were clean, however the tub as far as facet and drain area good use a good cleaning. The A/C did not keep the room as cold as I feel that it should. The hotel chain needs to work with the state or county and see about putting in a noise wall to block most of the traffic noise since the back part of the hotel is so closet to the freeway. All I heard all night was traffic noise from the freeway.

The room Definitely smelled of cigarette smoke! Especially in the bathroom the smell of cigarette smoke with so evident that it permeated my clothers. I booked the room as a designated non-smoking room. The cashier confirmed that it was a non-smoking room. Yet it had an ashtray present in the room with a non-smoking sign on the ashtray! As a non-smoker had it not been the night before Thanksgiving and we were extremely tired I would’ve gone to another motel. This is the reason for the low star rating.

As I informed the front desk this was my worst experience in a Motel 6 I have ever had. And I have stayed in Motel 6’s for decades. And sadly the front desk was not concerned with any of it. When I walked into my room I noticed several flies on the walls. I spent nearly an hour killing them. Around 3am I was awakened by a fly crawling on my face. When I got out of bed there were dozens more flies on the ceilings and walls. I killed as many as I could and was unable to return to sleep in the room so I spent the remainder of the night in my car and only went back in the room to shower in the morning. When I first arrived in the room I turned on the TV. I was hoping to watch some prime time shows but couldn’t find any regular stations. The first ten or so channels were ALL Cartoon Network. I called the front desk asking what channel #’s were regular programming. She said something like 2-6. When I told her that Cartoon Network was on all the channels she then informed me that they were having issues since some recent work on there cable TV. It was a bad experience from beginning to end. Most frustrating is the Motel 6 was the most expensive of the half dozen chain motels in the area. I expected that I would have the best experience at this location. Sadly I was wrong.

Bathroom had tar-like substance on the tile floor; corners were filthy. TV did not work. Desk person offered to change room but by that time, we were fully unpacked and ready for bed. Beds were 2 different sizes, but clean. Truck noise was horrendous due to proximity to I-5. Room color was better than usual bright orange, but sage green would have been more soothing than BILE green, and flat or satin finish would have been MUCH nicer than gloss paint. (Motel 6 designers apparently have not read how color influences a person's behavior. If they want people to be calm and sleep, they shouldn't use such raucous shades. ) However, request for 1st floor room near handicapped parking was honored, dogs were free, and desk people were very nice.

We were in a non-smoking room in between two smoking rooms — the room smelled of cigarette smoke and cleanser. The "ADA" bathroom was an absolute joke — no shelves in the shower, no fold down seat in the shower, shower too narrow and the the toilet was almost impossible to use with the "arms" bolted to the seat. Then there was the traffic noise that was as loud inside the room as it was outside — apparently no sound proofing. I can say that the air conditioner worked like a charm, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. Other than that, we will NEVER stay in this Motel 6 again.

Front desk gal was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. The room I had DIRTY! Brown splatter on the wall at the desk and in the vanity area. There was trash under the bed and dust bunnies that had to be 4 months old! There was no hood on the air conditioning and no light cover in the bathroom. I called the front desk and was told that housekeeping had left for the day. I cleaned the mess up after I took photos. Took the dirty towels to the clerk and showed her the photos. All she said was "Some of the house keepers are new. " I have stayed here before. The likelihood of ever staying at this establishment again? Nope. I will be sending a complaint letter and photos to corporate office in Carrolton.

The hotel had openings and our rooms were side by side when we ordered them. The pool was very refreshing, the rooms were clean, and the motel itself was right off the freeway, so an easy stop for the night as we were traveling with our youth group. The water was hot for showers, the ac worked well, and my only complaint was the smoke alarm was beeping so it had to be unplugged by the front desk person because there was no maintenance worker in the night. Otherwise, it was simple, clean, and all we needed for a quick night's rest. Great price as well!

Thank you Motel 6 for updating your properties! Laminate floors, upgraded TV and better towels and linens have assured that I will stay a regular Motel 6 client. This location had a terrific staff at check in and check out. The room was comfortable with the updated amenities listed above as well as coffee in the lobby. The grounds were immaculate with well kept landscaping and a nice pool area. Another bonus was free Wi-Fi, not all Motel 6 properties offer this. The price really can't be beat for a clean room, bed and shower. Please note sections of this property have very loud freeway noise. Due to the proximity to I-5 this should not be a surprise and it is certainly not worth knocking this review down to 4 stars since I used earplugs and slept just fine. This is the perfect halfway stop on my way to the Bay Area, I will definitely stay here again.

Room is within 70' of I-5, so if you can't take highway noise, best not to stay here. Wasn't a problem for us. A couple of fast food chains within walking distance. It needs some kind of pest control as we saw about a dozen bugs on the floor walking around. Temps were 105F the day we stayed and the a/c handled the heat quite well. Courteous, friendly staff.

You get what you pay for, and not in a negative way. A simple, comfortable room to return to when your business is done. Great air conditioning, convenient fridge, nothing special but more than enough. And for an excellent price! I stayed here when I had business in LA. Stayed a night, drove in and out if the city the next day, stayed again, went home. It worked perfectly and saved us a lot of money.

It works if this is where you need to stay. Maybe better than the alternatives.

Room seemed okay no smells. Easy access. Bath tub was stained. Lot of road noise.

Ok. Microwave didn't function for us. Flys in the room. Lamp over bed didn't function. Night staff (the evening we stayed) questionable… poor people skills. For some strange reason there is another motel 6 not 200 feet away. That might be a better one… I was reading the reviews. Afterwards. BED bugs?!

We have enjoyed this Motel 6 many times (as well as many of your others), but this time was not as good. I always enjoy Beverly, and she was as nice as ever. And saved our Room for us, but although close to the hot tub, it no longer heats! With all the options in Buttonwillow, and my fond desire for your hot tub, I was disappointed to learn that it had been broken since May. Also, there was a flashing light on our phone that lit the room all night, and they couldn;t fix it. We still love Willow Ranch BBQ, and we have recommended that plus Motel 6 Central for years, but we will likely start staying elsewhere unless the management begin to attend ro details.

We rented room 228 and saw adult active bedbugs on the pillow. We left right away and told the manager and got our money back. She said that she didnt know there were bedbugs and the inspector was there last month. Bs, adults take time to grow. It was nasty. And I dont have the two motel 6's confused. Not the real old one. It's the one that is right next to Starbucks.

I stayed here for two nights while attending an event at Buttonwillow Raceway. This is the closest accommodation to the raceway with decent quality and price. There is another Motel 6 in Buttonwillow but I've heard it's pretty bad. Make sure you choose the right one. PROS: The room was very clean and may have been recently remodeled. There was a flatscreen TV and a medium-sized refrigerator. I only ever saw one bug and it was the size of a mosquito. No cockroaches, spiders, or moths. The AC blew ice cold and was loud enough to drown on the freeway noise. Check-in and check-out took only a couple minutes. CONS: If your room is on the freeway side it will be loud. Wearing earplugs or running the AC made enough noise that I could sleep well, despite being a light sleeper. The Wi-Fi was not working the second night. CONCLUSION: I used to stay in Bakersfield at the nicer (but more expensive) hotels, but this Motel 6 is good enough so I'll be staying here from now on when I go to Buttonwillow.

Stayed one night in this motel on the way to San Francisco, and had a terrible experience. The bed was as hard as concrete, pillows were extremely thin, no shampoo or conditioner, and we even had a cockroach in our room. I advise all travelers to avoid this motel at all costs.

The room was clean. You must request a coffee maker and you may get one. The water in the sink did not get hot but the shower was hot. The room did have a microwave in refrigerator in a television.
