Review of Motel 6-Yuma, AZ - East 2*

The front desk clerk was quit frustrating to work with. I stayed with your motel Wed night and then drove my husband to Mexico on Thursday for a cancer treatment. After the treatment, I crossed the border and mind you, I was running off of about 3 hours of sleep, so I made a reservation to stay last night but I didn't realize that the system actually picked a set date and it wasn't last night. So when I arrived, the clerk did not find my reservation to be last night but a different date, so I canceled that night and ask you stay last night. After searching for a downstairs room, she said all she had was smoking handicap and I said I can't have smoking and I have tried a smoking room before and the smoke from the other rooms came into my room, so I won't do that anymore. So I asked her what motel would she suggest and she said I could go on line but that it's a busy night so there probably won't be any rooms. Then she decided to go a step further and ohhh, she suddenly said that she could move a reservation to the second floor and give me a downstairs room. I had to show her a picture of my husband without her asking so she could see that he could not walk up stairs. But before me saying I would go somewhere else, she made no effort to help me and she argued with me until I walked out of the office and then she got back on her cellphone and the reason I know this is because she was on it when I walked in and she was on it when I had to come back in to ask for my receipt. Not good for your business. The young man who was your clerk on Wednesday night, was very friendly and very helpful. He made sure my questions were answered, that I had my room cards and my receipt as well as made me feel safe. Good guy with great customer service skills. Thank you for providing this survey. Also, the door lock needs to be tightened as it is wobbly and may cause a customer to get locked in the room. Thx again and I will stay here again, it was nice and clean and the beds where comfortable.
