This is a wonderfully romantic desert retreat on the eastern outskirts of Tucson, bordered on the north by the Catalina mountains and more mountains to the south. Even in the midst of the pandemic, Sally is a tremendous host, following safety guidelines and requesting guests do the same. I surprised my wife by booking at Cactus Cove Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Our room was tastefully decorated. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom included a Jacuzzi tub for two and French toiletries. A private outdoor patio and shower were worth the price of admission. The swimming pool was too chilly to use in mid-February but would no doubt be refreshing in a month or so. In the evening we enjoyed a beautiful sunset along with birds roosting nearby and two owls calling to each other. The main patio, covered by a tall pergola, includes a large wood dining table, heater, plants, buzzing hummingbirds and a fireplace. Breakfast was a delicious plate of huevos rancheros that included salsa, chunks of avocado and cilantro. Very enjoyable. We'll be back!

This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I went there for a couple staycation to celebrate his birthday and we were blown away by the beauty of the place. We are from Tucson and it felt like we were in a completely different place. So quiet and calm! The rooms pictures don’t do them justice, we loved the personal touches Sally put in the place. We will definitely be back!
