If this is a 3.5 star then they need to make the ratings 1-10. This place is disgusting. It’s like on a tinder date you see a picture of this girl who looks like Jennifer Anniston and then you get there and it’s honey boo boos mom. This hotel and that lying girl on tinder have everything in common! On top of it being disgusting I’m just curious on what they are painting in this room. There are just random streaks of a different paint color all over. Are you testing new colors or hiding something?! I’d demand a refund but I bought it off Priceline and I don’t think Priceline gives a crap once they get there money.

Great value for the price. The rooms are clean and nice. Could use some updating. The grounds are well kept. The staff has been friendly.

Room was clean when I arrived; AC works really well. The dishes in the cabinet were also very clean. The hotel clerk was very helpful when I got locked out of the room, my card stopped working etc. Overall I had a pleasant experience living in this suite.

The hotel staff at the desk was friendly. When I got to my room, the door was ajar and I found that the door wouldn't close. I went back to the desk and after explaining the issue, they switch me to a different room. The hotel is separated into many buildings, so to get to your room from the lobby, you have to walk outside (which can be a deal breaker in Arizona). I found the hallways to be poorly lit and on the older side. The signage looks old by quality and by style. The room I eventually received was large, good for the price. Again, the decor, carpet, appliances, and furniture felt on the older side. Like the hallways, the room felt poorly lit. There were lamps without lightbulbs. The outlets were loose — — things that were plugged in could easily fall out and the outlet face itself felt flimsy. I had the continental breakfast. It was alright. The coffee wasn't very good and the eggs were probably average to below average for hotel continental. I tried to use the exercise room during my stay, but the treadmill was broken. The exercise room itself was very minimal. It had a bike, an elliptical, and the broken treadmill. Overall, probably still value for the price, but I would probably shell out for more quality next time.

The rooms. Are clean. And. Large. With a kitchenette. The. Property was designed. Perfect it looked. Tropical. Like I. Was. I'm the carribean. The pool and not fun was never too crowded and it was the perfect size. Overall I really. Liked. This. Place.

Almost bigger than our last apartment. A stove, a really nice fridge, a large bathroom, two TVs and a dining table line. We felt poodle-like!

The staff here is really nice and helpful. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance is very professional and courteous. I love the blackout curtains and had a very comfy bed. The bad is that some of the guests are pure trash. They were noisy, partying, trashy people. One room had ELEVEN people in it with kids who ran around screaming until one thirty in the morning. They were finally kicked out after a twelve year old almost ran over my husband in a car. Take the trash out and this would be a very nice place.

Very much enjoyed our stay! Breakfast and a nice kitchen and counter and a room with a door separating us from the kids in the livingroom… hint hint.

This was a really fine hotel, probably the best one I've ever stayed in. I usually go for La Quinta or Days Inn, but I think this was the first suite I ever stayed in! This was like a mini-apartment! It had two bedrooms, a den complete with a coffee table, a TV and comfortable couch, and also a nice kitchenette and a full bath. I have to say I was impressed! My travelling companion who is often hard to please said he liked it, too, so you know they had to have done something right.

Quiet clean and cozy. I was attending a birthday bash. Free use of propane grills. King size bed noce and comfy. We were pretty loud in the rooms and you couldn't hear anything in the hallway.

Used to be my favorite place to stay. Going downhill. Got put in the exact same room on a recent stay as my previous stay. The same towel rack fell off the same wall as last time. Over a month between stays. All it takes is 5 minutes with a stud finder and a drill! I've switched from Windham to Marriott rewards.

Nice Hotel. The hot tub worked, good pool, nice rooms. No complaints. Also, it's right next to The U. S. Egg breakfast resturant which isn't the cheapest but it's really good.

Almost perfect except for the missed details by house keeping (lipstick on bathroom glasses, dust on edges). The free breakfast is fine and it's in a great location! I would definitely stay again.

This room is fine for $80. Not $200 (spring break inflation). A snowstorm ruined our travel plans so we were looking for a hotel to rest on our road trip from Utah. We checked in at 9:30 pm and paid $160 plus tax and pet fee. Lobby was fine and front desk was very nice. But then we drove around to our room where there was a lot of sketchy activity going on in the parking lot. I was very uncomfortable with the men with no shirts on walking around and talking to people in their cars — seemed like drug activity. We hurried into our room. Our room, was terribly outdated and used (damage, stains, smells). Windows wouldn't lock and there was duct tape, we had to lay the towel tension rod from the bathroom in the window frame to lock it. Bed is fine and clean but my dog found crackers under the bed. Bad lumpy pillows. The toilet had a bunch of black smudges on it that wiped off. If we weren't so exhausted and it wasn't so late we would leave. Too hard to change rooms with dog and lots of luggage and sketchy people outside. We then realized that the bedroom is directly under the stairs so every second floor customer with their suitcase is waking us up from 10-midnight and again starting at 5 am. I am just laying here awake with the banging and loud footsteps.

Terrible don’t spend your money here. We were told our room was recently renovated but it is clearly not. The rooms are very dirty, smelly and the cabinets are falling apart. Our floors were sticky the TV doesn’t work and the mattress is disgusting and really uncomfortable. The service is just as bad as the rooms. When I called the front desk to see if they could get our TV remote to work all they said was sorry we are booked. We were out all day our second day and we got in around 9pm with 3 kids only to come back to a dirty room. The maids never cleaned our room so I called the front desk again because we needed new towels and they said come to the front to get them, I asked if they could bring them to our room since we were juggling bedtime for 3 small children and they said no, I needed to come to the front desk to pick them up. Not only is this hotel disgusting and smells. The walls and ceilings are stained and the mattress is terribly uncomfortable so you wake up all night and sore in the morning. I typically don’t write reviews but in this case I think people should be informed how bad this hotel is.

Good value during spring training and Nascar weekend. Nice comfy room and bed. Breakfast was very average but the staff was fantastic, especially Alfredo. Fitness room had three machines and only the recumbent bike worked. The fitness room did not have disinfectant wipes. Parking was adequate and the property is near many eateries.

The room was very clean and well organized. The bed was very comfy, and it was very quiet for the night. The complimentary breakfast was great!

This is one of the greatest hotels I have stayed at. The staff has been very nice and the housekeepers are excellent! The property is well kept and really big!

The staff was nice and courteous but the room was less than desirable. Counter tops were damaged and included drill holes. The bed felt like it was broken. They didn’t change out the glassware each day as they were left exactly where I left them. They didn’t even bother placing the paper cover back on top of the glass to look like they replaced it. The staff asked if I wanted to change rooms after the first night, as I was only there for two days, it wasn’t worth the effort. I did appreciate the offer and is the reason it wasn’t one star.

Front desk staff were great and handling an issue with hotels tonight messing up. Good location. Wish the room had better lighting.

Great room! Accommodated me and my husband and five children absolutely perfectly pool was heated hot tub was perfect. I would say the only critiques I have was the breakfast in the morning was subpar and there were no towels to be found practically anywhere other than that it was a good stay.

Nice Staff. Two King size bedroom suite is roomy. Family friendly. Needs new beds. Cleaning could be better.

My friend's mom lost her license at the airport when she flew into AZ on thanksgiving. She couldn't even rent her car and had to catch a shuttle. She prepaid for this room, had the credit card she used and a picture ID from Sam's to verify her identity. She got to the hotel at midnight and they refused to give her her room. She's a 75 year old woman traveling alone. She finally was able to get into a room at 330 in the morning after the police were called on her. I understand policy, but sometimes you have to step back and look at the big picture and make a judgement call. I will never recommend this hotel or chain.

Horrible customer service. Leaving a woman without a place to stay when she had reservations. How would you have handled the situation if it was your own elderly mother?

I would rate them less than one star if I could. My grandmother flew from CO to Arizona for a special event and when she arrived she realized she had lost her drivers license somewhere at the Colorado airport. Now, she is not helpless, but in a state she isn't from, with no licence, and being her age, I am furious that when she arrived at the hotel THEY WOULD NOT GIVE HER THE KEY TO HER PREPAID ROOM. Despite the fact that she had her passport for proof of identity, it was not good enough and the manager denied her access to the room that she IS PAYING FOR BUT NOT SLEEPING IN. My grandmother is over 70 years old, a wonderful woman who cares for all, and yet she is being treated unkindly. They did not even offer her a blanket or ANY further HELP and she now sits in their lobby, waiting until morning, till she can call her friend for help without being a burden at 1 in the morning. What a disgraceful way to treat a human being. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to be treated as if they matter.

Very spacious and nice rooms. Would have given the hotel 5 star's but with the attitude and rude customer service from ONE certain person, at the front desk, I'm giving it a 4 rating. Don't come to your job with something bothering you and take it inside with you, you should leave all your personal issues outside of work and don't be super rude to your customer's and don't give them attitude the whole time your trying to check them in. That's just giving the hotel a bad look and like they don't care who they hire an just let their employees get away with anything and everything.

Rooms are big, but NO BLANKETS. There two nights and ended up losing a blanket instead of getting any more. Rooms in some need of maintenance. Very dark areas at night, feels a bit sketch. Hallways very hot… I think it might be a scheme to keep their electric bill down. I rate it a meh.

Came here on the end of our 10 day road trip. I checked in here before a 12 hour drive back home in front of this and paid a little extra for the comfort of two bedrooms. Surprisingly Wyndham hotels have been really on the mark during this trip and worth the money. The hotel is located in a industrial area so there is no random people roaming around so that's very good. Now the rooms are located in multiple buildings instead of one giant one. There was plenty of parking available right next to the room so it wasn't hard moving everything in. The room was like a two bedroom apartment full with a kitchen including microwave, stove, refrigerator, utensils, dishes. The bedrooms are across from each other with the living room in between. The carpet and style is okay. Think about early 2000s. The bathroom was really wide and the shower worked perfectly. Now for the kinda bad part. The breakfast was free, however it was just kind of meh. There were a lot of things empty and not restocked. The batter for the waffles was pre poured. The waffle maker does not have the old reliable timer as others do so you don't know if it's cooking or burning. So you have to really babysit the maker. Even if it's free, it should be better stocked when compared to another Wyndham location. Overall I would com back here because I loved the room that much.

The suites are nice and roomy. A crib fits nicely without crowding the room too much. Friendly and helpful service at the desk. Nice pool and fitness room. The complementary breakfast is decent as well.

Room was comfortable but the ac was turned up to 85 when we first got there! It took several hours to cool down. The pool area was somewhat dirty but still usable. The gym was very small with only 3 cardio machines and the treadmill was broken. Room itself was spacious and nice.

Hawthorn Suites has given my family a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet featured both hot and cold dishes. The furniture was a little worn and due for an upgrade, but it didn't really negatively impact our stay. I can't attest to the pool or hot tub, but they looked nice. They have an on site mini market, which is convenient, and it's located by several restaurants and a CVS. One thing I really liked is that the AC has an option to always have the fan on, which really helped me sleep.

One of the worst places I have stayed. The room was disgusting and the staff was even worse. We were quote one price and got a complete different price. We were if there is nothing in writing they won't even think about doing anything. We ended up not staying at the hotel our third night because it was gonna be $200 for the night. My dad ended up staying there because he was gonna catch a ride home from another person that stayed there as well. We jumped on the hotel website and got the exact same room we were in the past two days for $92. The other people staying there that were told it was $200 for the last night complained and the front desk told them he must of booked it elsewhere because there is no way it was that price. You will never find me using this place again for team hotel or anything! Use at your own risk. FYI the rooms were just as bad!

We where there from Jun 2, 2016 thru Jun 5, 2016 on our second afternoon someone open our car and got our stuff, call the office they didn't care, police came over did a report, no Camaras in the parking lot or any where near the hotel facilities they have some Camara but they don't work also the rooms are old and dirty they smell bad I will never book that hotel again.

Rooms are great for the price. Microwave, stove, refrigerator and dish washer are another great thing. Free breakfast is served which is nice quality. The pool is small but its still good, there's also a workout room which is good for those who still need to workout for those working.

This place is great. The rooms are very nice and the staff are helpful. It's a very inviting place. Probably will be staying here on my next trip to Arizona.

The breakfast was OK. The rooms were big and had nice accommodations. The pillows weren't very fluffy. The full fridge was nice. One of the outlets wasn't grounded, oddly… It was annoying. Good place.

We stayed here for one week in a two bedroom suite. The room was small and cramped. The kitchen was poorly stocked, it only had a few pieces of silverware, and only one pot. The amenities screamed "CHEAP" — The towels were undersized, there was no oven in the kitchen and only a tiny stove and sink, the living area was barely large enough to seat all of us. The pool was tiny with very few chairs. The breakfast was standard, but oddly, they forbid you from taking food out of the breakfast room, which I found bizarre. The customer service was lacking — we had to call to request sheets, pillows, and blankets for the pull-out sofa bed, and they brought us only sheets. It took three requests to get the full set. We had requested a crib in the room, but rather than have it in the room for us, when we checked in she just handed me a pack and play. And lastly, although the website claimed that this room was for up to six people, they only stock the room for four people (four towels, four plates, four spoons…). All in all, very disappointed.

The location is pretty good. The rooms are a good size, but the bed was hard, not just firm, but hard. It also crackled like it had a plastic mattress cover. I put the sign out to clean the room and they didn't. The breakfasts were adequate, but never hot enough. Most of the staff were friendly.

The room was clean, albeit a bit small. Bed was extremely comfortable and AC worked great! Definitely would consider this location on my next trip to Phoenix!

The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was very quaint with all the needed amenities. Wi-Fi was super fast for a hotel. Breakfast was pretty good although had to go to another building to get it. Overall I would stay here again. Value was very good at only $110 or so a night.

Horrible, do not ever go here. I waited 2 hours just to get into my room. And I had a room of six and we were so crowded. Small hotel room. Do not go here. Also the beds are horrible.

We always have a hard time finding a suite that is big enough for a family of six, but this one suited our needs. It had two bedrooms with king sized beds, and small living room with a pull out sofa bed, small chair with an ottoman and desk with rolling arm chair. It three flat screen TV's. That was plus. The kitchen was a part of living area, and the two were separated by a bar with two barstools on the living room side and it had full sized fridge for with an ice maker, two burner stove, dishwasher and dishes etc. The bathroom was nothing special. The dressers seemed nice, but the drawers, when opened, seemed flimsy. The beds were uncomfortable, and the whole room looked a little worse for wear. Like I said before, it suited our needs for the two nights we stayed there.

This place is totally awesome a very nice room great service lots of space I will definitely stay here again.

The location is aging and needs a major update. The outlets are a danger for fire or shock because the plugs don't stay firmly in most of the sockets. The counter tops are damaged from years of use and need replacing. The Wi-Fi is poor. Could not get a steady connection and therefore couldn't do any work. The last time I stayed here, my room smelled like smoke, this time there was a roach in the bathroom and one of the bulbs over the sink was out. The lighting in the bathroom is poor at best, but having one bulb out made it worse. I've given this place 3 tries. I'm done. I will not stay in this place again and I will tell other business travelers not to stay here. This location is not worthy of the Wyndham name. Yes, it is designed for extended stay. There is a separate bedroom, living room and kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and two burner stove. The staff is friendly, but none of that overcomes the overall impression that the place is old and not well maintained.

I don't normally leave bad ratings, but this time I have to. Made 2 reservations (one for hotel at Grand Canyon at $157 a night for two nights, and then one night here at the Hawthorne for $60 a night) at the end of our trip. Arrived to check in and was told they require a $200 hold on a credit card. This was our last night on vacation and had budgeted for $25 hold. At the Grand Canyon they put only a $10 hold for two nights. We were maxed out on credit cards and she (Sandra) at the Hawthorne said we could not pay cash either as it was policy for credit cards only! So we had to spend 9 hours at the airport overnight and lost our money we paid for the room as they would not let us check in? Sandra was very unforgiving, rude, and refused to put us in touch with a manager. Waited 3 hours in their lobby for airport shuttle to come get us, and just before they picked us up she questioned me about what time they were picking is up in a very rude manner and no doubt in my mind that she was about ready to tell us we had to leave irregardless! STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK, BUT THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL CHAIN I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! FYI I Am almost 60 years old and definitely not a virgin at traveling.

Stayed their in 2013 on a business trip. Ran out of the place because it is filthy and I shared my room with uninvited cockroaches. Booked into hotel on the same strip for the same price and it was spotless.

Horrible. Stay somewhere else. Non smoking but everything reeks of smoke, hot tub broken, pool gate broken, cabinets in the room broken, disgusting carpet and furniture, hard beds, no water pressure. Need I go on?! Not to mention their customer service line was horrible. Spent 40 minutes on hold with my family in the car, only to talk to someone who of course can't help-a manager will call you back. Transferred to 4 people who can't help, get told everything is fine, it will be taken care of, enjoy your weekend with your family and don't stress. So I did, well, I tried, night from 80s hell. Then I get a call 2 days later saying the complete opposite, I'm getting charged for 2 nights instead of 1 that they can't help me. Wow. Lie to my face, get me to book another night, then call back and flip your story?! And that hotel was so nasty. I will never give wyndham another dime.

Internet Sucks big time, Cockroach's, Décor is from the 50's and hasn't been properly cleaned since the 50's. Not sure I can find a positive here. At $119 a night this place should be much better or charge accordingly like $39.99 special.

As Charles Barkley would say — "that was turrible"! Reserved a week and had to move after 3 nights in hell. Yup, they had a bed or perhaps a facsimile of such; more like a box covered by sheets (short sheeted, of course). Wifi was a mystery that worked, and didn't for no good reason which meant talking with tech support multiple times. Found a hugely better place for cheaper, new and comfy! Don't do it — back away from this turrible place.

Great staff and most comfortable bed. Room was awesome. Thanks for a great weekend.
