We had a great escape there with our kids. Beautiful fresh snow and adventure right outside the door. The view there is amazing. Who could hate waking up to that?! And the staff was very friendly. A much needed weekend in these difficult times.

We had a one King size bed room for the night. It was very nice and plenty of space for the 2 of us! Would recommend!

This has been the worst motel stay of my life. The staff unnecessarily stressed my wife out to the point of tears. They made us pack up all of our stuff, to move rooms, only to later tell us never mind, go back to your same room. We had to take all of our stuff out of the room for no reason, and load up our kids (even though they already knew that the reason to vacate the room was not actually happening).
Our first night, the toilet was already clogged and overflowed, and it took 3 days to fix the plumbing. I love Williams, and will certainly be back, but no way in Hell am I staying at this place again.

We did our family vacation here. We had a wonderful time exploring and loving everything. The staff is amazing and went above to make us feel comfortable and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Reserved caboose and air was out. Daughter took another room and they charged her. I think she should have been able to stay for free. I was ok without air but she needed they would not have gotten someone in the room that late anyways.

We stayed a week in the Nomad.
This cute, comfortable RV was furnished with everything you would need. They say bring your clothes and toothbrush.
We bought meals because the little kitchenette was great to cook in!
Owners and Staff were great!

Nice RV park. The office staff can be a little testy, but once you are all checked in, it's a nice place to stay.

Friendly staff, Rules that keep the park running smoothly, near the nice Route 66 strip of Williams, and many nice day trip areas near by. Railcars that have been made into rental rooms are a nice touch too.

We rented two RV spots this weekend and we had a great time! Awesome place! Amazing Staff! nice little store! Can wait to come back and maybe check out the train car motel rooms! Thanks for a great stay we will definitely be back!

We are from Costa Rica and we were at Canyon Motel last week, it was a great experience. It is a quiet place with very comfortable rooms, and we receive the best treatment from the person at the reception. I definitely hope to come back soon.

Its close to town and easy access to Grand Canyon, could use a few more trees at some of the drive thru locations but other wise I highly recommend it to travelers driving US40/Rt66.

It is relaxing and more private than most motels. Love the little “patios”.

The Canyon Motel has very unique, comfortable accommodations. The Stone cottages are cute and perfect. This trip we stayed in a Caboose! An actual train caboose, so much fun and how often do you get to sleep in a caboose? We definitely plan on returning to the Canyon Motel & RV Park. We hear that one of their Cabooses is haunted. One of the great things about Canyon Motel & RV Park is their little general store, they got my niece got to write a letter to Santa and have everything you may have forgotten! There is also a nature trail and playground.

Nice people got lots of information for you.
Clean rooms. Great location and Williams is a good town for food and gifts.

Our spot was nice and customer service was great. Five min Drive to train Station.

What a great place to stay. Not far from the Grand Canyon. And Route 66 You can even book the night in a old train wagon. Or stay in the campsite or RV trailer park.
There’s a indoor pool a laundromat and even park for the kids. The staff and owner are fantastic explains everything even places to eat and about the town of Williams.

A place to stay for anyone in any group. Great place for all ages.

We had a beautiful view from our motel room of the mountains above Williams AZ. The staff is pleasant and the weather was perfect! Open the windows, enjoy the view, breathe the fresh air and relax!

Spent the night in the cabooses and loved it. Genuine friendly staff and a great night's sleep.

Room was HOT, especially when trying to sleep at night. Only had a small ceiling fan & 2 small windows in front, no window in bathroom for airflow. Bed was not comfortable. Also had an adjoining room for another guest with a thin locked door in between. We could hear everything as if they were in our room. Kids crying, screaming, coughing, sneezing, entire conversation of family talking, etc. NO PRIVACY! Wouldn't stay here again. Saw a new LA Quinta Inn & Suites and a Holiday Inn Express when driving around. Would stay there if ever coming to Williams again.

We have stayed here previously so looked forward to staying again when we visited the Grand Canyon. This park is not within the "touristy" section of Williams but is only about a 5 minute drive. Facilities are clean. The bed is super comfortable and cosy. There is a great little store on site. Staff here take pride in their park and are very particular about parking, use of the laundry etc but the neatness and tidiness us a credit to them. Staff are friendly and helpful. If we're ever on Route 66 again, we will be back. For a reasonably priced place to rest your weary head, stay here!

Very cool and unique place. Rooms are very clean and have all the things that we need. Laundry room is also a plus.

Very impressed! Stayed at a competing RV park a year ago when we visited Williams but wanted to try a new place. So we booked for one night here. Wow. What a difference. Our rig is 72' long and we prefer not to have to disconnect our truck (HDT) from our 5ver. They have a number of spots that will easily accommodate big rigs of 75'-100'. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Easy access in and out. Close by to Williams. Park is clean and well laid out. Their general store is better than most. Did I mention the employees are friendly and helpful? Wish we had more time to spend here as we would have loved to have stayed another couple days. Highly recommend. We will be back next year.

This place was really cute and had the basic amenities, but man, the view that surrounds you on the grounds is so beautiful. Had a great stay and will stay again. Loved it!

A quiet place just east of town. The national forest is all around here. Great recreational opportunities and of course the train to the canyon.

Excellent our experience. We got a nice cozy cabin. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Spent the night after taking my girls to Bearizona. Great experience for a reasonable price. I would love to come back and visit. I would highly recommend Grand Canyon Motel for there train engine cars to sleep in for a night. They also have a indoor pool that my family enjoyed swimming in for several hours. Our room was clean and cozy. Staff was friendly, helpful, and amazing to chat with.

Great place! Favorite! Will be back… again! This campground is just outside Williams, so quiet and very easy to get to. Well maintained and run! Great staff. Fell in love with area! Really nice stop, especially for Grand Canyon excursions.

More character than the other RV parks around. Plenty of trees and elevation changes through the park. Spaces are very wide, but not real level. The other RV parks in the area are basically parking lots with the exception of the east KOA.

Review is based on the RV part. Seemed super passive aggressive with the signage. Didn't really make me feel welcomed. Also the bathroom facility was only 3 stalls for both men and women. Two were shower stalls as well so very limited usage is people were showering. Had lots of character, especially if you like trains and the showers were hot and pretty clean.

Our experience was not great. We came here to stay in the caboose as we thought our kids would love it. It is dirty — the floors were gross, there was hair in the shower and I don’t think they’ve cleaned the grout in a year. The lights outside weren’t working, half the lights inside were out and the smoke alarm in the back of the car is missing. The beds weren’t made — they just plopped all the folded blankets on top of the mattress. The beds are HORRIBLE. The front one sunk in the middle and you could feel all the springs in the bunk beds. We didn’t sleep more than an hour tossing and turning. Don’t stay here — go sleep at the motel 6. Made our long weekend trip start off with everyone exhausted. The positive — the check in lady was very nice and this could be good place if they cleaned better and bought new mattresses. I wanted a unique experience but I also wanted sleep! Won’t stay here again.

Absolutely fabulous and so cute. Perfect place to stay if you want comfortable and affordable. I will hopefully return soon. This is my favorite spot to stay when in the area.

My wife and I were very impressed with what you get for their low price points and to be so close to the Grand Canyon. Everything was well heated, in clean and tidy condition, no complaints except sometimes you can hear your neighbors if they're loud enough but pretty much after 11 p. M. We found that it was nice and quiet.

This place is so cute and the staff is so nice. We stayed this weekend and loved. We bought cute things at their gift shop. It's down the street from down town Williams. My son loves the trains on sight, the park, the fire pits etc. It had a little snow on the ground which made the scenery that much more beautiful. Definitely will stay here again.

Friendly staff. Nice place to stop or stage for Grand Canyon (about an hour North). Some of the RV spots aren't as level as I would like (had to use 3 blocks). Also close to downtown Williams, which is very nice.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Bed was just right (not too hard/not too soft). We are staying in a Cabin Room that had a small frig, microwave, love seat, table & chair, wooden open-faced storage cabinet/shelves by frig & more in the large bathroom. Love the ambience of the whole place! It's in a woodsy area with plenty of small size wildlife & it's just so quiet & peaceful. The gals in the Office have been so sweet & I love their little store that has snack foods (including ice cream) & lot's of souvenirs, trinkets & some hand carved art pieces. This will definitely be a place we come back to as often as we can!

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and stayed two nights here. The staff was amazing and super nice. The rooms were clean and well maintenance. We even stayed in one of the train cars, which was pretty cool! I would defiantly recommend staying here and eating at Grand Canyon Coffee and Cafe in downtown Williams. It's worth every penny.

Decent campground. Nothing fancy but clean and quaint. The bath house has "private", unisex bathrooms and they were very clean. Private meaning there was a toilet, sink, and shower in each of the two bathrooms and there was another with just the toilet and sink. The laundry room is in the same building but we didn't use it so I can't rate it. Our site, which was one of the deluxe sites, was very level and spacious. The Wi-Fi was very good. It took us about 45 minutes to drive to the Grand Canyon, which was a straight shot from the campground. I would have given it 5 stars of it wasn't for the trains coming through blowing their horns. They didn't bother me at night, but I'm a very heavy sleeper.

Great little spot with nice rooms with refrigerators for a reasonable price. Clean rooms with friendly staff and a little gift shop. It was a great place to stay before heading to the grand canyon.

Had a great week here. Lots to do in the town of Williams. Wild west gun fights, shops, restaurants and it is all a couple of miles from the campground. There is a store on sight. No dog run, but it backs up the National Forest so I could walk the dogs out daily and play fetch and exercise them. I would definitely return.

Payed for 2 nights in caboose. Both night had no a/c. All they would say is we are trying to fix it. Wouldnt do anything for me are my family. At 10 pm said you can go get another room some where else. The owner never even had the guts to call me back are email me back about the stay. Guess they don't mind stealing your money.

The place seems really cute on the outside and all the staff is super nice. However, we lived in one of the rooms in the little cottages and we were not impressed: Spiders everywhere (some even large and hairy) and thin walls — we could even hear the snoring from the people from the neighboring room. I would not recommend this for an overnight stay. If some things are changed, this would be a lovely place.

Love this place. Sure you could stay at a nicer newer hotel with no character. But then you would miss out on what road trippin is all about. People there are awesome and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. Definitely coming back again!

Sleeping in the caboose was an interesting time. There were only 3 air vents in the caboose. Two in the front with the single queen bed and one in the bathroom. This made the front cold and the back, where the bunk beds were, considerably hotter. Besides this issue, it was a decent place to stay.

We stayed here for a month. The sites are roomy enough, although they are on a slant so we couldn't use the picnic table. You're not allowed to unhook your tow vehicle in front of the office. They don't tell you that until after you start unhooking. When we checked in, we were told that they would inform us if there was going to be a frost. They didn't. They also didn't inform us when they worked on the water pipes throughout the campground. With no warning at all, they shut off the water. We thought it was just our site until we noticed everyone outside checking their water hoses. Beyond the water issue, you can't drive your car to the laundry. There is a parking area at the bottom of a hill in back of the laundry, but you'd have to haul your clothes up that hill. Fortunately our site was close to the laundry so it wasn't difficult for us, but I'd hate to be farther away and have to carry the laundry basket all the way over there. There are 4 washers ($2) and 4 dryers ($2.50). The bath/shower rooms are in the same building as the laundry. Bath/showers are large and clean. Laundry is clean but not very big.

Wonderful, beautiful place. Very friendly and helpful staff. The kids loved the great spaces and the Mums loved the tranquillity. Very well situated close to Williams for food and necessities, and easy access to the Grand Canyon.
Only disappointment was the lack of soundproofing between our room and the adjoining one. Our neighbours came in at midnight and sounded like they were in the room with us! And then they got up at 7.00 AM and started another loud conversation…
Other than that, it was great.

The boyfriend and I were lucky enough to find this place in the middle of some serious snow, the staff was VERY friendly and went above and beyond to help us shovel snow after the car got stuck in the parking lot. They also shoveled again in the morning so we could leave safely. The room is great for the price you pay — very comfortable bed, has everything you need (to include food and other necessities in the office) and we had a pleasant stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Love this place… but the room was freezing and the little heating fans only warmed it up to 60 degs.! and there was only one blanket in the room. So bring your own heater and blankets! … but other then not being able to sleep all night it was a cool place.

Really nice cabin, old school. Nice area in the motel (historic train). Shower is not a plus, and the heater is noisy. Overall good motel.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. There was barely any heat in our room and the fact that we were charged an extra $100 because dog hair from our clothes and shoes made it on to the carpet because we brought our own blankets. We NEVER had our dog in the room. We have huskies. Anyone that knows anything about huskies knows that they shed constantly and their fluff lands on everything that you own. They claim it's for allergens but the fact that the dog was not in the room, and no one that has bad allergies is hanging out in the wilderness, the extra charge is not justified by any means. DO NOT give this place your credit card number unless you want a bunch of bullcrap charges. These people discriminate against pet owners whether the pets are with you or not.

One of the coolest hotel I've ever stayed! Despite the small room and shower, the hotel offered some unique and great concepts. The old classic theme and stuffs is a memorable experience of this hotel. Stayed for 1 short night during my visit to Williams last year and really enjoyed my stay.

The service was good and the workers were very helpful, only negatives were the Wi-Fi (it was quite spoty)

It was nice to stay 2 nights here, of course I have things to say. The shower is the smallest shower I have ever seen! The lighting is a bit dim. If it would be a problem for you, you have to know that spiders and other insects may share the room with you, they are completely harmless. Ambiance is OK, the weather is fresh and train cars are interesting.

Cute privately run motel. Would have loved to stay in a train car, but need to book 7 days in advance. Rooms are cozy. A little small but we like each other so that's ok ;-) 1 person shower. Would come back and stay. Bed and bathroom are clean, and smell clean. Best rated hotel/motel for this area that wasn't book!

Hate to say this, but this was not a good place to stay for the cost of approx $100. Room was small, loud air conditioner, no drain plug in the sink, signs all over the places telling that there is no smoking and to shut off the lights (! ), driveway not blacktopped, the only motel that I couldn't cancel, floor in bathroom not clean, TV remote was filthy, no box spring — just a mattress on some boards, shower was small and it was hard NOT to bump the faucet control that either about scalded you or gave you a real "cold" shower, and the lighting was pretty dim. The nostalgia effect may have been there, but then the price should be the same as in the 60"s!

We always feel welcome when we come here. Very nice management and the campground is very well kept. We come here 2-3 times every summer to get out of the Havasu heat. We just started another week stay.

Our second stay, and we couldn't wait to be back. After a great day of Grand Canyon-ing, so much better to come 'home' to relaxed atmos, friendly staff and lovely nestled in the woods location. Tons of great restos within 5 minute drive; Rod's Steak House and Cruisers 66 Cafe for dins, Amazing brekkie at Pine Restaurant. Attention to detail at the motel: our room — the WOlf room — themed art, and bench outside with a 'ford' car piece as its back. Thanks Canyon Motel and RV peeps! It was nice. We did have to ask for an extra blanket though. The heater made a funny squeak noise. Other than that, it was very comfortable.

Very clean room/cabin. Bed was a bit hard, but having a fridge and microwave was nice. Called ahead to let them know we would be arriving very late and they worked with us. Very nice & friendly staff. Helpful with Grand Canyon advice!

Such an incredible experience at The Canyon Motel and RV park. Extremely clean facility with an astonishingly friendly staff. The husband and wife that own it were very welcoming and made sure mine and my friends stay was comfortable and present. Ive stayed there every time I go up to Williams and even when I plan on going into Flagstaff. The room was warm and beds were very comfortable. I strongly recommend this motel to you if you will be in the Williams, Grand Canyon or Flagstaff area. Always a wonderful experience and couldn't ask for more!

Our room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Price was right too! We had a king bed with a fold out sofa bed also. Curtains were too thin and allowed too much light in the morning and the shower went from freezing to scolding on occasion, but I would still stay here again.

Room was in a train caboose, room was toasty and slept my wife and I, daughter and husband and two children comfortable. Only a minute or two from Williams and the Grand Canyon Train and five mins from Bearizona wildlife park. Staff was very friendly and helpful telling us about the various foos options in town.

We had plenty of places to choose from. This was the only one we checked on because when I called they were very friendly on the phone. We did not get around the park much after we checked in. We were there for 2 days just to do some geocaching. We stayed in our motor home. The staff was always friendly as we passed. The RV spots were more than large enough. The park was not prim and perfectly manicured. I liked that. It is a desert and that is what I like. We really enjoyed our stay and when we get back to Williams we will be back at Canyon RV.

We camped 3 nights. The campsites were rocky and there were so many rules… 15 signs in the bathroom area alone, including a list of customer indiscretions against the owners and their facility that prompted the rules. Children are locked out of the bathroom without adult supervision (who may not pass along the combination) and those under 18 are not permitted to wash dishes in the outdoor sink. Despite the manager's patient attempts to explain the need for so many restrictions (reasons included child safety from strangers and from naked europeans unfamiliar with American conservatism), our three children felt unwelcome. As I parent, I appreciate it when I can have a majority vote in how best to keep my children safe including not having a parent in a locked building they can't enter… as well as being responsible for their own dishes! To be fair, the bathrooms were clean and warm for those cold desert mornings. And the pool was refreshing in the hot afternoons. Their convenience store is indeed convenient.

Started out ok, but went to shit. Originally was going to stay 8 days, but Internet was very bad and had to leave after 5 days. Told girl in office that we had to leave early because my wife works for hospital on line and it was not possible. First thing out of the office girls mouth was, to bad, we don't refund. You paid for 8 days. This is the only rv park I have ever been to to do something like this. And I have been to more than a 100 park and have left ahead of schedule. They are con artist. The park charges double what it is worth and and is way below price grade they charge. The town its in is a tourist trap as well. Will never go back and won't recommend it to any one. Remember shit rolls down hill and they are full of it.

Rooms are quite small, but clean. Were at the beginning of October here, and since it was quite fresh in the night in the room. What could interfere with a perhaps the is the rooms are very noisy (with connecting door). Internet was available but very slow. For a night no Problem even with a small child.
