VERY INTERESTING! The tour guide was great!

It’s an OK place. I think because of 2020 and Covid situation there are not enough employees to run anything. Nothing is open. It was no food for miles and the restaurant at the caves was only open for two hours. The place was packed with people as it’s memorial day weekend. As for the in itself, clean, old, and things on the property should be cleaned up. The pool was not open. Although I did my research for my 4 Hour Dr. To get here and slightly disappointed at least I can say I can say been here done that.

Highly recommend the caverns tour with Rigi! He was so awesome. Very best caverns in Arizona! Seriously. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!

We went up not knowing what to expect, and we left telling everyone who will listen how awesome this place is. Reservations were super easy, check in was smooth, the rooms were excellent.
We reserved the “Grotto” for dinner, unbelievable! The view from the grotto is amazing, the food was delicious, and the service top notch-and it is over 200 feet underground in a natural cave!
We followed up with their “ghost walk” tour, which was exciting and fun, Dino was a great guide!
Our room that night was perfect.
This morning we took the “regular “ tour which was informative, fun, entertaining, and well worth the time. Er are planning to do again so we can experience the “suite”

The tours were awesome! Dino did an amazing job. Dinner in the Grotto was incredible. Where else can you have dinner 220 feet below ground. All of the staff were super friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a road trip idea.

Dino our tour guide was awesome! Mike the owner was Great! we ate down in the Grotto and the food was really good. Everyone was super friendly. Our next time will be the over night stay down in the caverns!

We stayed in the Cavern over night and it was the most amazing experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and everything was incredibly clean. We started out with dinner in The Gratto and I highly recommend it. There is a small fridge and microwave, so bring some snacks for when you have worn yourself out looking at everything and watching movies 220 feet underground! They provide some musical instruments to enjoy the accustics, but we also brought a guitar and I am glad! All and all it is a one of a kind experience and totally worth doing!

I understand not having a pool, ice, laundry facilities, a restaurant, or a hot breakfast, but it would be nice to not have to pay so much for just a standard room with 7 TV channels. I hope whoever owns this place can get back on their feet and make it as good as the website makes it out to be. If someone could bring some sugar by in the morning for my husband's coffee that would be really nice.

I took our son and nephew white water rafting and we decided to stay here for the night. The front desk team was happy to accommodate our late check in and we were happy to have a comfortable and quiet room. The location looks like it could have inspired part of Radiator Springs at Disneyland! Anyhow, great room, no issues, great sleep and we would stay here again. Next time we will arrive during the day so we can enjoy more of the area!

All of my trips activities were cancelled due to covid. I asked if I could cancel the hotel and be refunded which they said I could. After cancelling I was told they "couldn't refund" me due to booking through booking. Com. They agreed they were paid and had the money but they just weren't going to do it. Had they advised of that prior to cancelling and the date passing I still would have gone.

The girl working in the little store was incredibly rude and accused someone I was with of stealing coffee. Will never stop here again.

Owner was very good and breakfast was nice.

It's a cool place. And the tour guide was verry knowledgeable.

We stayed in the Grotto Suite! Our Hosts Laura & Ray were amazing! We were able to have a personal private Ghost Tour & Cavern Tour. Laura & Ray shared the History of the Cavern & the many Ghost experiences! We also had dinner in the Grotto Restaurant and the meal was delicious! Dino was our paranormal Ghost Host & we had many EVP’s! As we slept we had several experiences as well (very exciting! )! I want to thank John for allowing us this unforgettable experience & Laura & Ray for making it the very best experience ever❤️

Our family stayed in the cavern suite a night June 27, 2019 and absolutely LOVED every bit of it! The accommodations met and exceeded our expectations… it IS a cave after all! Ray & Laura were awesome hosts, helpful, personable and knowledgeable in all the history! Our private tour with them was fantastic! We also were able to do the Ghost tour with Dino, he was great and funny too, a great time with lights out! Our dinner served in the suite was very good, and the quietest nights' sleep we will ever have! We will be back some day! Thank you to all the staff that works at giving a great experience! The Merrymans.

This place is amazing! Everyone who works there is so nice. You have a choice to do a cavern tour by itself or one that includes the meal. We chose the latter. The experience is one of a kind and the food was great! I highly recommend this place!

I've been visiting here since 1979 and there is always something new going on. Restaurant is great too and it's a very peaceful and clean place to camp.

A must go. The history behind the place and the tour was fun and exciting. I recommend eating in the caverns along with staying in the suites and taking the ghost tour. A trip of a lifetime. Thank you John and his wonderful staff in making it a wonderful experience. I Highly recommend it to everyone!

Our tour guide Dino, was Absolutely lovely! he kept out tour interesting, stopped a perfect amount & was so knowledgeable! our family from Spain loved it as well.

Met the owners and we learned about the entire property. Convenient hotel location for before & after Havasupai Falls. No sound of trains here. Nice and quiet. The bar on site was a fun place to relax and meet other guests. Check this place out! Your the caverns. Ask them about their helicopter rafting trip!

This was a nice quite most amazing place we went to on are honeymoon. We have never been to something so old but so nice befor. The people there would help anyone out. They talk to you like you have been best friend's forever! We would for sure come back but next time we are taken the kid's with and let them enjoy it as much as we did!

We stayed for two nights. It was really nice. Very quiet and serene. We enjoyed the Betty Book breakfast room, very nice breakfast selection. All of this was great, but it was the staff that made the stay! Friendly, helpful and always ready to share a story. We visited the caverns, very awesome, walked the ghost walk, scary, and ate dinner in the Cavern Grotto! I would do this again, lots of memorabilia to look at and lots of old cars with a fire truck or two! Great trip.

Very casual, friendly staff. 'A family cowboy ambiance. The 1-hour cavern (now dubbed "grotto") tour is a little steep but it's definitely on any proper Route 66 bucket list. They have most everything you'll need for 100 miles; rooms, grub, beer, shower, except GAS! 'Nice pee break or overnight nookie stop. Dark starry skies. Very relaxed. I slept on the ground in the parking lot.

My folks took me here when I was about 5 years old. That was 52 years ago. I recognized the exact outlook point I was at when I first saw the expanse of the wonderful Grand Canyon. It is worth visiting the south rim and the various outlook points. This is simply a magnificent work of nature. We took the train ride up and a guided tour once up there before being returned to our Wyndham Timeshare in Flagstaff. I highly recommend this for all, especially those with kids in the 5+ age category. It is a defining moment to experience this big old canyon carved into the earth.

Good place to crash if you’re doing HavasuFalls the next day! Friendly staff, free breakfast is very basic and room isn’t fancy but it was quiet and comfy enough! Cute trinkets around the property.

I had lunch here over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. We arrived early and first went on a tour of the caverns, which themselves are quite remarkable, then we had lunch in the grotto afterwards. The food was great (I highly recommend the banana cream pie for dessert) and the setting was truly unique. I'll be back for sure next time I'm in the area.

Had a blast at this place. Checking out all the intricate antiques that they had around. There is so much to look at. The end is old but it's very clean. The staff is extremely friendly. We went over to the grotto cafe and eat 220 feet below the Earth's surface which was something I definitely have never done. I absolutely loved coming here and had a wonderful time. Should be a great place to bring kids if you had them or just even family members or if you're driving through just stop and check it out.

Great dinner experience dining 220 feet below the surface of the earth! Completely unique and fun — great service from our hostess, Crystal. The steak, chicken, and mac and cheese were a great. The homemade desserts were also top notch. Be sure to take the extended tour of the cave if possible!

Great cavern tour with Mitchell. Outstanding dinner at the Grotto with Chris. Cold night in the motel room. Would have been a 5 star rating if there wasn't a note asking us to use only the bathroom space heater if temps were below freezing. We used it but were cold. We found the staff super friendly. The room was clean. The restaurant food was delicious and the continental breakfast was basic. I would recommend the cavern tours and the restaurant but the hotel only in warmer weather.

Great tour of the underground cave, the guide made it feel fun and enjoyable. The history and the natural views in the cave made it quite nice. They have a room to rent for the night inside. The cave how totally cool is that! Would try but they are booked 6months out! Worth the trip and time to see!

On the 66 run Grand Canyon Caverns Inn is a good place to stop. This historic stop is a good clean place to rest on your trip across the 66 trail. I have stayed here on a number of trips. My mother and brother live nearby and here I do not need to impose on them when I visit. In years past the Caverns Inn had gotten run down and threadbare. However recent owners have apparently atempted to renovate and elevate the property. The morning free buffet was simple but good. The place is clean, and if you are near enough to the lobby there is free Wifi. Just up the street from the in is the Grand Canyon Caverns entrance, making this a convenient location to start your day or end your day with a visit to the cave.

Top 10 unique hotel room in the world! Must visit while u are in Arizona! Best food in highway 66! Boss is super nice and humble! You will see him working 5 days a week at the resturant!

This place is amazing! Chris was our waiter down in the grotto, and Lawrence was our tour guide… They were great… It felt like I was hanging out with old friends. Awesome amenities for the RV, and an amazing learning experience for our kids!

Just quirky little stop on the way to Seligman, Arizona. If you go deep enough in the store, you will a great room full of Nostalgia. Great photo opportunities outside the store as well.

This is one of Arizona's most fascinating hidden-away places. Whether you take the basic caverns tour or the extended tour, it's worth your time to see one of the world's largest dry caverns systems. Eating at the Grotto (the dining room in the caverns) is a must-try experience you won't forget, and if you can afford it, this is possibly the only opportunity you'll ever have to spend the night in a suite inside a massive cavern. You'll definitely need to reserve the Cavern Suite in advance, as there is only one, and it is booked most nights.

Based on being attraction, this hotel is neat and gets 4 stars. The hotel would get 3 for staying purposes. The rooms are very old but decently kept up. The room was very clean. Very thin walls though! The staff is incredibly nice!

Received an amazing opportunity to spend a night in the cavern suite. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, and was even a bit nervous about the prospect of spending the night below ground. It was such an amazing experience. We took the standard tour which was full of great information and just the perfect amount of kitsch for such an iconic rt 66 establishment. The staff were wonderful helping us determine which tour to take to make sure we could get dinner before heading down to the cavern for the night. After a delicious dinner the staff helped us get all our things down to the suite and made sure we were completely comfortable. After they had made sure we knew where all the breakers and switches were, and that we understood how to work the elevator I felt completely comfortable spending the night 200+ft below ground. Between enjoying the natural wonder of the cave and the novelty having a movie marathon in such a unique location it was a once in a lifetime night I would highly recommend to anyone interested in it.

Grand Canyon Caverns is such a cool place. The caverns are amazingly beautiful. The Cavern Grill has yummy food. Delish burgers and fries! The rooms are classic 1960s charming. Fluffy towels and very comfortable beds. So many cool trails on the property to explore Arizona's beautiful nature. Definitely a great place to stop while cruising Route 66.

Outstanding location. A must visit place for the family. I just love how friendly everyone is, the food was delicious and very well priced. They take care of the customers so we come back and we will. The caverns are amazing!

They Still Do Exist! This has got to be one of the best examples left of the mythical route 66 roadside attractions! It is just about everything you could ask for if your looking for that memory you have been chasing or that adventure you been waiting to have on the mother road. From the huge green dinosaur that is the most classic of all roadside photo opportunities to the spectacular work of mother nature that is the hallmark of any good roadside adventure and everything in between that you could want or ask for. If you have children it is a must see for sure! Give them the chance to experience something that once was an American summer right of passage for most every kid, but is now only stories they might hear from a parent or grandparent and that they might never get to experience. It seems that the facility is under fairly new ownership and that they also have the desier to preserve the wonderful experience that only places like this can provide, they are doing a great job; keep up the great work!

If you like staying in desolate places, you'll like this place. When we arrived, there was no electricity at the motel. Weird as it may sound, that alone made me like the place. You'd see critters right outside your door. There aren't too many lights to blind you at night, which means you can see so many stars in the night sky. The staff were friendly, too. The restaurant provides okay food; the free breakfast won't blow your mind, either. Overall, I liked my stay here. Wouldn't mind staying here another time.

We stopped here the night before we trekked into Supai. We did the Wild tour with Chris and absolutely loved it! It was very exciting and thrilling to climb deep into the cave. The camp site was clean and very quiet… almost too quiet for me but it served its purpose. The restaurant had great food! I would stop here again!

Ok. 1. The Wi-Fi is only to the patio. Outrageous I know because you're in the middle of no where. 2. No ice machine. They only have ice during biz hrs which ends at 8pm 3. The restaurant is down the way. It's good. Chicken strips are good, onion rings are ok, steak fries were amazing. 4. Free breakfast but it has free written all over it. Definitely a place you want to see during the day but overall, alright place but not with $100/ night.

Stayed for 2 days in their beautiful rv park. Bathrooms were being worked on but 2 were available for use so it wasn't an issue. Water and electric hookups at a great price. Rv dump station at the road where the hotel is. Continental breakfast. Free laundry room for camping guests. Cavern tour was great. A+++ fun good time with Chris the toe guide. I don't understand the reviews that thought it was too expensive, seemed reasonable to me because they do want to stay open. $20 per person isn't a lot. Tour guides alone are worth that. Employees treated us like family and we'll be back even if it's just for the camping and hiking. They also have a wild cavern tour where you can do real spelunking… for the more adventurous.

Wow what an amazing little place for kids and familys. Our boys had so much fun here. From exploring the caverns to roaming the trails we had a great time. The staff was so incredibly kind and informative. The restaurant was great. The hotel was a little out dated but very clean and we had no problems. It was almost like a trip back in time. So quiet and peaceful there.

We didn't stay at the hotel. We just did the regular cavern tour (45min) for $20. I'd suggest booking your tour online and if you're a AAA member you get a small discount. Tours leave every 30 min and the cavern is very interesting. It's more than 250ft underground.

Only went for the canyon tour. The canyons are awesome! Definitely lots to do and amazing to see!

Friendly staff. Awesome dinosaur statue outside. Mini golf could use a facelift, but love the thought that went into it. Shower can really blast hot water. Rooms are antiquated, yet clean.

It's a very positive place. There is no doubt that time should be devoted to stopping.

Best leg of the trip and we started in 5 star Vegas hotels. I loved everything about our stay. It was so homey and friendly and clean, old, but clean. I will definitely be back. It was awesome. I do recommend bringing a blanket if you come in the winter. No heat and we froze out butts off. I think it added to the charm though. Make sure you include a few days stopped here at the Caverns in your trip, it won't disappoint.

The cave makes the impression of a tunnel drill or a freshly blown underground production hall, on whose floor the material would have to be removed. Overall little attractive and that, in the small tour with once led by an approximately gyms large hall in circle, is quite expensive and quickly completed. In addition, there is a gewuchertes conglomeration of marketing models of the place, which has been unconcepted for many years — from hospitality to cave hotel rooms to suspected dinosaur figures in the open-air area — under and over days that have come cheaply, in years, and for a Naturererlebnis to be displaced. We reuten money and time, but we only took this as on the R66 lying on the wayside.

Very interesting and unlike the other attractions in this area anything but overflowing. Those who have the time on their way to the Grand Canyon should definitely take the detour over the very little Route 66 and stop here.

Interesting guide, but the price of well $20 per person for 40 minutes is not really worth it. I'd rather look at one of the big caves in the south of France. Is nicer and cheaper.

It's an interesting place, especially for those who watch the cars cartoon.

Just went today. It was awesome the cave itself is amazing and add to it you can rent the one room fully serviced hotel in the middle of the cave. Just doesn't get much better than that. We will be back.
