Great food…fantastic views!

They are amazing an the best staff ever.

Very clean, super nice staff, and just plain gorgeous out here!

My husband and I shared a magnificent 4 nights at the Lodge. The cabins were perfect. All necessities were present. The view was incomparable. We had an extraordinary experience taking the helicopter ride/hike to the Glacier. It was unforgettable. The restaurant on the property was amazing. Every morning farm fresh breakfast. Lunch and dinner offered as well. Eating with an incredible view of the mountains. I highly recommend this place to visit. It is a total experience!

Beautiful, quiet, perfect quick getaway from the city (we live in Anchorage). Friendly, professional, accommodating staff. Nice sunset views from the cabin porch and beautiful scenery all around! Fun entertainment available—my son had a blast playing frisbee golf and corn hole. Raven’s perch restaurant was great! The stuffed pork chop was yum!

Add this little gem to your bucket list! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The views are amazing! And the menu at the lodge is not only fun to order from but absolutely delicious! We had told Lars we were hoping to see the Aurora Borealis while in Alaska and he knocked on my family's cabin door late one evening when he saw they were out. I can't say enough about this wonderful place.

Had a little staycation here. We live our Palmer neighbors! Peaceful time away. Food was delicious!

Absolutely amazing! Everyone was so friendly and thoughtful! Dinner was delicious and the cabins are perfect getaway. I went today on the hiking trails, and the friendly dogs (Alto and Bones) led the way! It’s a must visit for all Alaska locals — you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely gorgeous view! Summer and all of the staff were delightful! it was so neat to see the helicopter take off too! well worth the drive! adorable doggies too!

Wonderful dinner tonight at the Raven’s Perch. Great service and food and amazing views. And watch out for moose all along Knik River Road.

Great location, food and view!

This is one of our favorite places on the planet to visit. Not only is the staff great, the rooms impeccable and the food amazing, but you can also do some incredible sight seeing on the way to the lodge and while you’re there. We took the helicopter flight from the lodge via Anchorage Helicopter Tours and had some of the best views of our lives. Also got to see the northern lights for the first time. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly and accommodating, the chef for consistently delivering an awesome 5 star meal, the management for running/maintaining the site so well and of course the owners for picking one of the best sites in Alaska to afford people the rare opportunity to experience serene beauty away from it all. We’ll see you next trip… thanks!

Absolutely blown away by the service, the view and the FOOD!
The coffee crusted ribeye was probably the BEST steak I have had out in many years, the Mac and Cheese was beyond belief and the salmon salads were beautiful and delish! I am a local and will be making this a frequent stop!

It's an absolutely beautiful location with wonderful personnel. I drove in just for the view and lunch. I definitely recommend the flight out to the glacier.

Drove in from Anchorage just for lunch on the deck. The scenery is gorgeous, and the food, delicious. Very friendly staff. It very much reminded us of a fly-in lodge. We're hoping to stay overnight sometime.

Excessively long wait for food that was poorly prepared. Very loud atmosphere makes it hard to have a normal conversation. Misty Mountain Ribeye was ordered rare and needed up being medium well. The pork was tough and lacked flavor. The only flavor was the bbq sauce that it was bathed in. The chocolate coconut brownie was excellent! We do not plan on returning.

I have been wanting to come here for a while so my husband and I took a drive for our 10 yr anniversary… beautiful views… the fact that everything was local was amazing… and all local beer… our king of the mountain nachos were good except we waited for an hour to get them because they were given to another table… After about 50 minutes when he came back to tell us are nachos would be out soon and tried to collect our menu we asked for another beer and also told him we wanted to order the Mt. Boisterous burger… he said oh I didn't know you wanted something else… because he never came back to check on us… our glasses sat empty for over a half hour. An hour later we got our burgers… they were supposed to be medium well and were so well done they were dry… I asked for broccoli and got potato salad… then asked for mayonnaise and I was told there was enough in the bowl that he brought us for the both of us… really… so disappointed I won't ever come back.

Great location, excellent views! The staff was very knowledgeable on their menu and offered suggestions of wine or beer pairings. Was wonderful to see a small collection of local beers on tap, along with a modest selection of wines. The food was well prepared and presented, the ribeye was amazing. It followed up nicely with a homemade dessert. Cannot wait to try your breakfast!

Amazing, spectacular. One of its own kind. Our best experience ever. Lifetime memory and joy. Staff is very humble, polite and courteous. Service is excellent. I have no words for the location. Location gave us the best memories ever. It's simply Unbeatable. Our tour started with helicopter boarding, pilot was amazing person and very courteous. We spotted few dallsheeps, bears and few birds. We saw amazing glaciers and views. Then we landed for dog sled ride. Person who runs the event there was outstanding. He took care of us like giving us the hand gloves, caps as it was freezing cold. We enjoyed the dog sled ride. Amazing! Definitely recommend this to everyone. Every penny was worth it!

Had a great staycation as a getaway from Anchorage. Cabin was nice, warm and comfortable and the staff super friendly and accommodating. Views are amazing. 10/10 would stay again!

A totally hidden gem. This place is adorable and tucked away from the world. The restaurant is to die for and the cabins are so adorable. I love escaping Anchorage and spending the weekends out here. Don't miss the helicopter to the top of the glacier. Amazing flight.

The lodge staff are very friendly. The cabin we had was clean, modern, and very cozy. Bed was super soft and filled with pillows. The restaurant on site was delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a little hiking trail on site, described as moderate, however I were to use that word, it would be "moderate, " there are a couple of steep slopes, but it was still a lot of fun. As for the tours, we did dog sledding and some ice climbing. The guides were excellent as well, talked with you, answered a lot of my questions with patience and humor. The pilot that transports you was great, and didn't make me feel unsafe during the helicopter ride. Views you see from the helicopter are breath taking and other worldly.

Amazing view! Amazing food. Great cabins! The glacier tours are offered to non guests. So we couldn't get the glacier tour. We didn't know they offered it so we didn't reserve it. It's the only activity on the hotel, and we couldn't do it. Give preference to guests. Or inform them once you get a reservation for the rooms if we are interested in a glacier tour. You lose a star for that.

The lodge is located on a beautiful piece of land, with trees, mountains, river and wildlife. The front staff was nice and helpful. The cabins are very nicely accommodated. Ours had a queen bed, kurig coffee machine, mini refrigerator, ceiling fan, and heaters in the main room and bathroom. We had dinner at the Raven's Porch (their restaurant) and was good food, but pricey ($30 is the average entree going up to about $50). We took the helicopter tour to the glacier, and it was one of the coolest experiences of our lives. You take a 15 minute helicopter ride to the glacier. Once their you get to get out and walk on the glacier for about a half an hour, and then come back. We had Josiah as our pilot and he was very good at pointing things of interest out and answered questions and took pictures. Over all just good guy to be around. Our stay at Knik River Lodge was great and I would recommend it to others.

We were really excited! Arrived in great weather (end of August 2014). Beautiful lodges, very very good dinner in the big tent. The flight to the glacier was just fantastic!
