Historic Hotel convenient to everything “downtown”. Staff is very accommodating and provides excellent customer service. Annabelle’s Restaurant and Bar are just downstairs. Hotel is obviously older but well kept and clean.

Excellent place to stay for the price. Very dated but it's meant to be, this is old-old school Ketchikan from "back in the day. " Room was clean & comfortable. The staff was great. This authentic gem is within easy walking distance of everything you want to get to in downtown Ketchikan. This old joint has some stories to tell.

Clean historical hotel. Smaller rooms. Rooms on street cheaper but very lively nightspot below. Lots of local activity.

Cozy area. The front desk was very helpful in getting a taxi to our destination. The room was small and clean. My window didn't stay open so I was a bit warm.

Great location to shops and restaurants. Clean. Friendly staff. Connecting restaurant, Annabelles had the best sourdough bread.

This historic hotel is located right on the water with an amazing view! The restaurant located next door has great crab, chowder and steak!

The staff at the restaurant were super friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic and moderately priced.

I stay at the Gilmore hotel every year come November on both ends of a trip to Prince of Wales Island. I like this place for its proximity to everything in town, especially the bars, and its quirky character and price. This year I had the flu and was lacking serious energy on check out. I thought I checked the room before I left but got a call from the hotel while at the airport that I had left my favorite wool jacket behind. The hotel offered to send me my shirt priority mail, I volunteered to pay the price of shipping and they answered back that they just want me to return as a customer. I'll see you next year Hotel Gilmore, you did right by me and that means everything. Thank you for your service and promptness of getting me my jacket back. You guys rock! My friends and I will continue to enjoy our November stays at the Gilmore.

The prawns, we're little shrimp, the scallops were too small too, the pasta serving size was something I would see on a kids menu. The chowder was good.

Fabulous hotel; amazing staff! Recommend it highly for your next visit to Ketchikan.

This historical hotel (from 1927) is often the cheapest place in Ketchikan so it's okay. The Wi-Fi unfortunately ain't all that great but the cable TV works well and there are a bunch of HBO channels. Annabelle's Restaurant on the ground floor has reasonably priced burgers ($13-16). The staff here is friendly and helpful.

Great location, friendly staff but it needs to come into the 21 century. Drab reception, drab rooms, I'd think twice about staying here again.

Strange place. No elevator, care worn lobby… stayed for two nights our room was never serviced in spite of the maids sitting outside our room drinking coffee at 9 am. The room was right on main street and traffic noise never stopped. The water cooler was empty and you had to go down stairs to the bar for ice. The front staff was not courteous. Or genial in any way. The room itself was nicely appointed but the bedding and pillows were not great. So much potential… the whole experience seemed like benign neglect.

Considering I'm in rugged Alaska, this is a pretty great hotel. The best thing going for it is the location. Second is the friendly and helpful staff. The housekeepers did a great job keeping my place clean. Here are the negatives in my opinion in no particular order: bathroom faucet won't run unless you keep holding onto the handle, makes washing hands awkward; the toilet handle must be held down the entire time it flushes; there isn't an elevator; there are no dressers; and the room doesn't have a phone. Again, it's Alaska and not New York City so that's why I only docked it one star. The free cab ride to and from the airport ferry is nice to have. Each ride is worth $9.50. I would stay here again.

This has a good ole ambiance feel to it. Not sure when it was built but feels like late 1800's to early 1900's. Love having the restaurant Annabelle's below! Food was great and love the good antique (real wood) decor ❤ This picture is our view from our room. Love watching the planes come in and out.

This was the most horrible hotel experience in my 60 years. Renovations caused the whole second floor to be a dangerous maze of cords, hoses, and electrical tools. I'm sure there are building codes being broken and insurance agency would want to see this too. Then there's also the awful odor in the non ventilated hall from the carpet glue. There's also loose carpet about 3 inches long in every rooms door way you easily trip over; I tripped a few times, so did my son and grandson. There was a very rude woman at the front desk during the noon time, no one at night even though they said there would be. My phone was disconnected at the wall with loose wires so I never had a working phone. I had to dress and go downstairs, tripping out my door, to get to the front desk. It was miserable! I wouldn't even give them the one star but it comes up automatically!

Not one of my better hotel experiences staff lacks experience in customer service and unwilling to provide a resolution to issue, the restaurant was good and our waiter was great. Rooms are dated but suffice for the cost.

Huge piece of crap, horrible service.

Hotel built 1920s with modern facilities. Old world charm and hospitality. Staff helpful with directions about town and places to have meals. Annabells bar next door great atmosphere. We ate dinner at the bar, great time chatting over local Alaskan beer. :)
