Very comfortable, very nice, very clean. Enjoying our time there.

My son was in Tuscaloosa this past Saturday for A Day and he ended up calling me around 3:00 am saying that they were going to spend the night. He needed me to book a room for him because he didn't have enough cash. I booked him a room there online and because it was after midnight, the only option for check in was Sunday. I made the reservation thinking he could go on and check in but I called to ask after I got the confirmation and was told no. She said that he couldn't check in until after 3 pm later that day. I asked her to cancel it because he needed the room right now. I was told to call the manager the next morning because it wouldn't allow her to cancel. I ended up booking him at a nicer newer hotel not far away who allowed him to check in immediately after I paid over the phone. I called to speak with the manager and a rude woman with a middle eastern accent asked who was I and why did I need the manager. I explained a little bit about the situation and she said call back after 10:00 and hing ip in my face! I called at 10:00 am and spoke with the manager and explained the whole story and he would not refund my money and he knew that my son didn't stay thee because I gave him the confirmation number and the details. He also had the same accent and was very rude and adamant about not giving me my money for the cancellation. They duck in customer service!

Awesome place. The only thing Iacking is a pool or weight room. There's nothing for children to do. Other than that, it is clean, friendly, and in the ultimate location. Great experience with this establishment!

Traveling w/ children! Clean, quiet & enough space for us. Breakfast is more like continental but it still works. The only thing they are missing is some meat/boiled eggs for breakfast and it wouldn't be so plain. The only issue for my children was that it was no pool.

Clean establishment as well as mostly quiet. It was exactly what at I needed as a comfortable place place to get a night's rest while travelling on the road.

What a wonderful Hotel, friendly people. Great rooms, very clean. Near food, and shopping. Anytime we return to this part of Alabama we will stay here. Top Notch.

When visiting my son at the University of Alabama my husband and I had the worst experience at the Ambassador Inn & Suites. We have stayed at many hotels from a “A” to good rating. The room we stayed in was absolutely Disgusting! The bathroom shower had mold also missing grout which made water leak on the floor, rusted shower head, toilet bowl seat broken and shower curtain had holes in it. As for the bedroom area, rug was stained, air conditioning did not work properly, numerous holes in curtains, sheets on bed were like sandpaper. I would not recommend this place to anyone no matters how short the stay may be. I would rather drive from Birmingham then to experience anything like this again!

I love this place very nice, fresh and clean. Everything looks new the bathroom is hug and very clean. My husband and travel a lot we slept in many hotel every year. This is by far my favorite hotel of all compared to the price affordable like this one is the best. We always stay here when we're in Alabama.

I was here to visit with my parents while we were all in town for graduation. The lobby area was festive and cozy, the staff members I saw were friendly, and my parents lucked out having their room right next to the breakfast suite. Their room seemed clean and comfortable. The only negative was when I wanted to charge my phone, I had trouble finding an outlet that would work. I do not know if there was a switch I needed to flip or some other reason since I was only in the room for a short time. Overall, I would consider staying there in the future since my parents seemed pleased with their stay.

No better place for the price! Convenient to I-20/59 and restaurants. Will gladly stay here again.

Check in experience was excellent. Lady at the front desk was very kind and courteous. The lady working this morning was very Unkind with a hateful attitude. The room is fine.

Check in was a breeze. Rooms were clean and comfortablehad a fridge and microwave. I stayed one night as I traveled from Colorado to Georgia.

Staff was friendly and the room was spacious. The bathrooms have handsoap and the shower was spacious and had shampoo and soap dispensers.

Staff not so friendly. Breakfast is free and kinda weak. Rooms were clean.

Very nice hotel. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone.

The location and the price are the only perks. The room offers ironing boards but no iron, a coffee machine but no coffee pot. No early check-ins even for an additional fee, only one room key offered. Limited room lighting, no working room telephone. Only the television is nice.

We cut out stay from potentially several nights to one night. We made reservations for the first nifht. We had a advertised coupon. They refused to acknowlege it because we had reservations! Said if we cancelled they would still charge us. Do NOT stay here!

Rooms were clean, and the bed was ok. The elevator did make a scary noise when it got to the third floor, but we didn't get stuck.

Horrible experience. Will NEVER stay there again. $178 for a room for 1 horrific night. With elevator vibrating headboard in room until midnight and again at 5:40am! AC didn't work well and coffee pot was broke! Just miserable! Don't stay there!

Great experience! Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast included fresh waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt, fruit, etc. Will stop here on the return trip.

Best hotel in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. All my needs were suited, and the hotel was also one of the cleanest hotel I have stayed at. Staff was nice and friendly. The breakfast was great, and I can not think of on thing to complain about. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the Tuscaloosa area. You will not regret staying here.

I would highly recommend this hotel. I had a room for one night on my way through town. Very good quality for the price. Room was clean and pretty. Bathroom was very clean and elegant. Very quiet and safe. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. The service was friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff seems untrained, is unable to explain why I was charged twice for the reservation before arrival.

Warm and friendly staff, great room (new), good price and great location for travelers. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. This will be a wordy review, because we were very impressed. You see we were disappointed a week before, on a pleasure (beach) trip. My wife, daughter and I went on a business trip to Tuscaloosa, AL on April 19, 2010. We tried to schedule our travel time to arrive for a meeting and check-in afterwards. We arrived over two hours earlier than expected, because of good driving and I forgot the time difference. The drive left us very tired. We made reservations online and were confirmed. The booking agency failed to complete the reservations with the hotel. Although we were earlier and our reservation was not completed, the staff at Ambassador Inn and Suites made us very welcome and comfortable. Although it was not their responsibility, they did all that was necessary to complete our reservation. The room was great. So great that we passed on a free meal out and just relaxed and enjoyed it. My wife is very picky about her beds. The only other place that had a mattress that satisfied her was Animal Kingdom. We wish that our room at the beach had been as nice. If we are traveling in that area again, Ambassador Inn and Suites will be our first choice.
