Clean rooms, friendly staff, clean indoor pool with hot tub. Breakfast was good.

Was only there for a meeting. The conference room was decent it held about 50 or 60 people comfortably. The lobby was nice and the breakfast was pretty good.

Large room, great beds, clean. Only problem was at the indoor pool. The floor is not textured and I saw 3 kids fall flat on to their back. 1 adult slipped but stayed upright. We would stay at this Hilton again.

The place is definitely dated. Everything just seemed old. The door to my room would not close because the the hinges were misaligned. I had to lift the door knob to get the door to close… annoying. My bathroom was not clean. I was billed for a meal that I did not order during my stay. When I first called to dispute the charge, the response I got was not very helpful. I pressed to get the issue resolved, and it was. I probably would return, but this would not be my first pick.

For a high level hotel this one is not good. Bed was so lumpy and hard as a rock. I didn't get much sleep the whole weekend. The restaurant was not good either. Very limited food items. I had ribs it was so tough I could not eat it. I also had shrimp cocktail and it was very good. The bar is ok. First night I sat for 14 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. Second night I went to the bar I was told that the Bartender was out side smoking and she would be right back. I sat for 17 minutes and when she came in she walked past me. It was another 6 minutes before she returned.

Everyone there does everything they can to make you happy. Nicest people you'll ever meet!

As a Diamond member I am utterly disappointed! The level of incompetence is highly sickening from upper management! Entry level staff is more knowledgeable! Tonya Zapata (General Manager) didn't even have the common courtesy as a General Manager to address my concerns as a General Manager! Quincy Beckwith (front office manager) had to ask the Housekeeping Manager Latefa what to do to make my stay better when housekeeping wasn't even my issue! The housekeeping manager is the reason I didn't get a refund and walk away! She's extremely knowledgeable and intelligent! She went ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR US! Not to mention seeing how great she treats the guest in passing and even her staff. She was cleaning rooms as well as mopping the lobby all in one day then had to assist the front desk on a error they had made (It was two ladies who checked us into an occupied room). The housekeeping supervisor was a great help as well. I didn't remember her name. The breakfast manager is extremely rude and hateful! Miss Sharell and Marcy as well as Michelle are amazing! The sales director also treated me like a valued guest! The issue is the incompetence of the general manager that is clueless about Hilton. She stood in front of me staring scratching her head like a dog with fleas! Then walked to the back and ignored my frustrations! Thank you Latefa for taking care of us! This property will be ran much better by the housekeeping manager! That's a fact!

Good place really look after us and it was a super busy weekend the staff stayed busy and took care of everything no issues at all.

Me n my husband loved the Jacuzzi bathtub in the room … They have great staff who are very friendly…

Great location, hearty home cooked breakfast, super friendly staff. Only negative was that the room smelled musty like old cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room.

Worst Hilton garden inn I've stayed at. Reserved king, got two double beds. Late evening someone came into my room, most likely because I was assigned the wrong room from the start. I'm already in bed trying to go back to sleep, I get a phone call asking me if I know I'm in the wrong room. Hmm. They ask me to move rooms. No. I get two more calls after that. Next morning for breakfast I order a spinach mushroom jalapeno and Swiss cheese omelette. I'm told they don't have Swiss cheese or spinach anymore because they are both to expensive and they don't ever have jalapeno. Decided to have breakfast someplace else. I will not stay here again. The young lady at the counter was embarrassed and sincerely sorry. Very professional. But still too many mistakes and what can I say about the attempt at breakfast. No excuse for that at all. I certainly question the management at this location. I stay at Hilton properties over 150 nights annually. From time to time things happen. I've never felt like I needed to post a review until now. Trussvile hgi, fix your problems!

Room was good. Slightly outdated but still good. Restaurant was over priced and the food you received was not what was described in the menu. Overall, good stay.

I would give it a 5 for the the cleanliness of the rooms the service and the extended til 11 am continental breakfast… the choice and taste of breakfast was awesome… but there was a lot of construction going on all day long… remodeling the outside of the hotel… I am sure if you can catch it when they are done with that it would easily be a rating of 5 stars.

Hotel has a mildew smell. The bathroom wasn't clean as most Hilton group hotels. The bed is great, the lobby and the bar make it a good place to stay. Nice and quiet rooms.

Excellent bedding. Slept like a baby. Great breakfast. Excellent efficient staff.

Helpful, friendly staff. The hotel is just like many other HGI's. Great location. The thermostat on the wall did not control my heat and air unit. Instead, the controls on the unit itself were used, even though there was a thermostat on the wall.

Super opulent, indoor pool/hot tub, and a bar. Oh and the breakfast is great too. Not sure if they're trying to woo people before an event or if this is their normal MO, but it was a nice stay.

Evacuated to this hotel from Florida during Irma and was so pleased we ended up here. The staff are so friendly, the room was clean and very comfortable. Conveniently located minutes from downtown Birmingham and lots of shopping and restaurants near the hotel. The "treat" bags that were put out every afternoon with sweets and fruit were a very nice touch for people displaced during the storm. Beautiful city and people!

The rooms are fine but its the people make this place feel special. The moment you walk in and see the boxes of donations for Harvey victims you know your going to be in good hands. They have gone out of the way to make us feel comfortable. We evacuated south Florida to escape hurricane Irma and all the staff has strived to help us with anything we might need.

Beware of this POORLY MANAGED Property! I had a prepaid confirmed reservation and showed up to stay the night and they had no room for me and claimed it was a computer glitch. They did zero to help me at I was a female traveling alone — later at night — I will never ever again stay at this hotel. Staff was very rude and untrained in how to treat hilton guests.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small, but has some of the best food I ever ate in a restaurant. Especially their Hamburger was outstanding. I was not impressed with the construction of the hotel. The hotel is 7 years old and had a roof leak while I was there. There was some mold in the shower and Black mold in the corners of the wall paper.

The pool had so much chlorine in it my son could not swim and my eyes were burning just sitting in the room. The hottub had nasty foam in it, a foot of foam! The room was clean but halls had a terrible odor. Not what I expected considering the cost! The staff was very friendly & nice!

I urgently needed to use their facilities. I visited the west restrooms, used the last stall. It was very clean and a peaceful experience! Would definitely poop there again!

The room is cozy and clean. The front desk clerk Justin is so sweet and helpful. Anything I needed help with he was there to assist me. Thank you Justin!

Pool out of commission even though we asked specifically if it would be back up by Sunday. Elevator was broken on 1 side but not turned off at the central switch so it kept coming instead of the working one. Several times the working elevator did not come either. Why were we not placed on first floor? Breakfast was not normal for a Hilton Garden Inn either. The only fresh fruit was cantaloupe and grapes. No berries. Hot covers were left open so the food got stale. Room was very musty due to fan in bathroom not working. Lights flickered on and off due to the moisture this created. Door would not open at first. We had to get a maid to assist. Carpets stained through out hotel. Water pressure was great. Bed was comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay in the room was absolutely immaculate I was very impressed the restaurant was clean and very good food at the breakfast buffet was stupendous everything was so beautiful the people happy and nice very helpful I would definitely give it a thumbs up I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

This is a great little weekend hideaway. Its close to shopping, plenty of restaurants and a great pool. This hotel has Wi-Fi, a fitness center, friendly staff and clean rooms. Its would be great for families or a romantic in town escape.

We used this hotel during a particularly sensitive time in our family, my father passed away. The hotel and accommodations were fine. Some of the staff though, expecially kitchen and resturant staff were very indifferent towards us. They seemed to be bothered that we were there quite frankly. This could easily be the top hotel in the area with better staff and or better training in customer service. An easy question about what brought us to town and some kindness towards us would have meant a lot.

Clean and that's the only good thing. The beds are rock hard, the air conditioner doesn't properly work and the walls are paper thin. You hear every tiny bit of movement that goes on throughout the night and will not be able to sleep. Just book somewhere else. I slept maybe an hour. So frustrated.

Everyone was very polite and easy to deal with. The room itself was clean and had all of the stock amenities. Water pressure was good, though I did have an early start to the day (0630). Plenty of hot water. Check in and out was smooth. No trouble with parking.
