The Archabil hotel, formerly known as the President, stands as a landmark in Ashgabat, a symbol of the city’s rapid development and modern aspirations. Constructed in 2004, it occupies a significant position 10 kilometers south of the capital’s core, nestled amidst the operational hubs of the petroleum and gas industries, alongside cultural landmarks like the National Museum of History and Ethnography. Its distinctive, sixteen-story structure, characterized by reflective surfaces and intricate stained glass, has become a recognizable feature of the burgeoning business district in the foothills of the Kopetdag mountains. It provides a sophisticated setting for both state visits and independent travelers seeking refined hospitality.
The hotel’s location presents a serene experience. The surrounding grounds feature intricate garden layouts, verdant lawns, and shaded arbors, creating a tranquil atmosphere away from the city’s bustle.
The immediate vicinity of Archabil includes a dynamic water feature – two impressive fountains – complemented by a swimming pool complete with a sunbathing area, two tennis courts, and a secure parking facility.
Primarily serving as a venue for official domestic and international delegations, Archabil extends its hospitality to residents of the country and visiting travelers who value sophisticated style and elevated levels of refinement. The entire operation maintains rigorous attention to detail, from the décor to the ambient conditions.
The standard of comfort within each room and apartment, along with the functionality of the hotel’s operational technologies and the quality of service, aligns with globally recognized benchmarks. The hotel has 148 rooms, each furnished with pieces sourced from leading European retailers and outfitted with contemporary office technology and advanced communication networks. The hotel itself is very nice, just bad experience with the SPA front desk. I called and booked a 6PM massage, 2 hours in advance.
All good until I got there and waited 30minutes extra (6:30PM) for a 30 minutes massage.
Paid full price because the guy at spa desk decided like this, that 30 min equals 1 hour.
It was not my first time there but it was the last.
