Mineo Hotel

I and my lady friends have booked 4 twin bedrooms at least 4 weeks before I checked-in day but the staff gave me 4 king bedrooms instead. The staff spent 2 hours for changing my rooms to be the same as my original booking. The room was dirty. Moreover, after I stayed in my twin bedroom, the staff used his master key without my permission opened the door and tried to force me to move to a king bedroom again. This was so horrible experience I ever had.

Within 5 minutes of entering the room, I tried to use the washroom, there was hair on the toilet seat and inside the toilet. The bidet leaked water as soon as it was turned on. Called the staff to check on it, the dismissed the issue and said that a technician will not be available until tomorrow. Asked for the room to be changed and said they can't because they don't have any available. Asked to please check and the staff muttered something in Turkish that we did not understand. Definitely do not recommend.

Great location, very close to Taksim Square with an easy flat walk. Rooms were well-equipped, and the safe box was secure. Friendly staff and decent breakfast, though tables were limited and bathroom cleanliness could be better. We stayed four nights on a girls’ trip and overall were satisfied; safe and suitable hotel.

I will not recommend the hotel. You can find better at the same location.
Breakfast was really not upto the standard. Rooms are small with a sewer smell inside. I observed humidity in the ceiling also.

I stayed at this hotel for a week. The location is great, with easy access to nearby attractions, and the housekeeping team kept the room clean and tidy throughout my stay. However, the room space felt quite limited, which made it a bit uncomfortable for a longer visit, and the Wi-Fi connection was not very reliable. With some improvements to the room size and internet service, this could be a much better place to stay.

My first day experience. Guys its listed superb breakfast. But you have to pay for fresh Egg. Because I dont eat York from the EGG. Poor service I would never recommend this hotel to anyone to go for peace hoildays. I tried to get the refund but looks like. My 14 days will wasted of journey. So avoid future booking. Worst hotel to stay.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, a 1 star at best.
The many problems with this hotel started from the moment I walked into the hotel.
— They did not provide any information at all about the stay, the room, ckeckout time, how to connect to the Wi-Fi, what time breakfast was, any amenities or anything else.
— I was given two single beds when I booked a double bed room.
— The swing bar lock was broken, I informed them of this and they promised me this will be fixed but wasn't.
— The aircon did not work and when I informed the reception they kept shouting "no cold only hot"… it was 30 degrees in the room at night.
— The worst came on the second day when the water was turned off completely without any prior notice for 5 HOURS! When asking for an update they kept say "30 minutes max" then 10, then 20 and so on.
— The water was then a light brown colour and would then take five minutes to warm up.
— The room was also not sound proof so I could hear everything outside my room all throughout the night.
— The Wi-Fi was also incredibly slow, the fastest speed I got was 5MB.
— When asked for any compensation for these problems they kept barking "no refund! ".
— Throughout the stay, the hotel staffs were unsympathetic, unhelpful and incredibly unprofessional. They did not try anything at all to improve the situation.
Save your money and sanity and look elsewhere for accommodation.

Medium Quality but it’s reasonable according as a value of money.
Staff doesn’t speak English good.
They don’t turn On AC in Winter if the weather is hot.
Room service is Not available after 3:00 PM.

I only give this hotel one star because the hotel is to blame for our trip being ruined. The hotel room window could not be closed, and we asked for assistance to be able to close the window, the reception asked us to leave the hotel room so that a repairman could come to look at the window. While we were out, the hotel repairman had opened our suitcases and stole 200 dollars and 4700 liras from our suitcase. When we went to the reception and reported the theft, they did not even ask the repairman about the incident, but blamed our friend because she must have stolen your money. They also said that it is your own fault for not using the safety deposit box.
We did not get any apology that this had happened in their hotel. They blamed our friend for the theft. We went to the police and filed a complaint with the police.

The hotel conditions and facilities were as shown in the pictures and the hotel met the required standards. The service was good, the breakfast was varied but it would have been great if it had a hot breakfast. Overall it was a good choice but you shouldn’t expect a fantastic hotel.

Some service was poor and luggage service was generous.
Unfortunately during our stay the central heating was turned on and it was extremely hot! I tried to call reception about this, but they didn’t understand what I was saying and didn’t seem interested in helping. Very uncomfortable sleep.
To add, the room was small and very narrow, the shower had a previous guest’s hair on the wall, and my dad got food poisoning from the breakfast.

The hotel was great. Room service and cleaning were done every day. Hotel employees were so kind, especially Mr. Fatih it was so close to taksim Square, isteklal Street, galata Tower, and about 30 min to karakoy iskelesi. Security was great.

This is not a 4 star hotel. It is hardly one star, or rather classified as a motel. We stayed in a room that was presumably for two. The room was too small that we had difficulty passing from one side to the other. There were no chairs or allocated area to put our suitcases. There was a very small closet with very limited space to hang our cloths. The sheets were very dirty with big stains on them. The bathroom was very very dirty. The electrical outlets had problems and I could not charge my phone. When plugged in the charger the phone charging would go on and off every second I was concerned my phone would be damaged. The service was very poor even when we asked for an extra chair there was no help to provide something. The only good thing about this hotel was its location which is close to taksim square.

We stayed here for 8 days. Honestly you shouldn’t expect much from this hotel, its a very standard hotel, the rooms are mostly small, no place for your luggages, the washrooms sink was always clogged, the sheets were sometimes dirty but after asking they would change it.
We had a very small room towards the back of the hotel, we had a triple room and a double, we requested to change them and have rooms with windows opened to the street, they let us know if anything was open they will move us and anything towards the street is very noisy.
After changing the rooms, the rooms were a bit bigger and better.
The breakfast is very normal and standard, dont have high expectations, its a good breakfast, with vegetables and sausage and eggs. If you want fried eggs, its extra charge.
The staff specifically the ones cleaning the rooms are so nice, there was a guy in the forth floor, would always ask us if we need cleaning when he would see us leaving, he was very nice and polite. Also some of the guys at the front desk were very kind and helpful.
The location is a very good place, close to supermarkets and the taksim street, also very close to the subway.
Overall its a good stay and an enjoyable experience.

Apart from the strategic location, this hotel is one of the worst ones in which I have ever been. The rooms are small and the windows are not noise insulated. So you hear everything as if the windows are open. They start cleaning the rooms from 8 am so if you wanna wake up a bit later just forget it because the cleaning lady will wake you up and she doesn't even speak English. The breakfast is not complete, they have almost no sweet options and the coffee machine's quality is really low. On the last night we asked for a taxi and then changed our minds they asked us money to cancel it. Not recommended don't waste your money here.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
We had a standard room which was well maintained. They cleaned and restocked every day. The workers are very helpful and polite. They speak English in the hotel. I liked the stores near it. There was a supermarket that had workers who spoke English and even Arabic. I would definitely revisit it.

Mineo hotel has been one of the worst places I have ever been in. First day the reception lost our passports. The gave it to wrong guests so they could only find it by checking the cameras! Nobody is there to welcome you. The facilities are at basic level. Rooms are too small.
