Hammamhane Hotel

We had an excellent stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment of our 8-day visit. From the very first day, everything was perfectly organized and stress-free. We would like to praise absolutely everyone, from the lovely ladies working in the kitchen to all the reception staff who rotated during our stay, as well as the entire hotel team. Everyone was kind, professional, and always willing to help. Our room was cleaned daily, and we constantly had water replenished in the room, which we really appreciated. The cleanliness throughout the whole hotel was exceptional, everything was spotless at all times. The breakfast was outstanding: rich, varied, and of very high quality. Despite staying for eight days, it never became boring, as there was always a great selection to choose from. We would especially like to commend the lady who served us at breakfast on most days. Unfortunately, we don’t know her name, but she truly made our mornings even more pleasant with her kindness and professionalism. Additionally, the hotel organized airport transfers for us both to and from the airport, so we didn’t have to worry about anything at all, everything was perfectly taken care of. We sincerely hope to return very soon and stay at this hotel again. We would highly recommend it to everyone looking for a wonderful, comfortable, and worry-free stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. Initially, we visited one evening and asked if we could see the room before booking. Burak, one of the staff members, was incredibly kind and showed us the room without any hesitation. He also gave us some great recommendations for the area.
We ended up staying for a few days, and it was a fantastic choice. The room was extremely comfortable, with cozy beds and pillows, and the neighborhood was both peaceful and lively—everything you could need was within easy reach. It really felt like the perfect spot to unwind, especially after three weeks of traveling through the Middle East. We needed a place to do some laundry and just catch our breath, and this hotel provided exactly that.
A special shout-out to Deniz at the front desk—he was truly a legend! He helped us retrieve a jacket we had left at another hotel by contacting them and arranging everything for us. He also helped us find local stores and even tried to book our transportation from Istanbul to Bursa when we were having trouble doing it online. Abdullah from reception was also very nice, booked us a taxi and even logged off our YouTube accounts after we left!
We absolutely loved our stay and were sad we couldn’t stay longer, as we had already booked our last couple of nights elsewhere in Istanbul. We would return in a heartbeat!

Dreamy place! It’s located in Cukurcuma which is full of antique shops, thrift stores, bookstores, and cafes. I can’t think of a better location to immerse yourself in all the beauties of Istanbul. The rooms are so lovely, cozy, and stylish. The staff are so nice and helpful too. I really didn’t want to leave this place at all. It’s a gem with beautiful design, impeccable service, coziness and charm. Highly recommended!

I had such a lovely experience staying at Hammamhane in Istanbul. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way — from the warm customer service to the thoughtful details throughout the property.
The breakfast was delicious, with a great selection each morning. Our studio room was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. I especially appreciated the complimentary water bottle in the room and the convenient water cooler in the hallway — such a great eco-friendly touch! I also loved the signs encouraging guests to save water — it shows how much the hotel cares about sustainability.
The bed was very comfortable, and I slept so well. The location is perfect — just a 10-minute walk to Taksim Square and about 30 minutes to the Egyptian Bazaar, making it easy to explore the city. Plus, having a hammam right next door was a wonderful bonus!
Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and felt very well taken care of. I’ll definitely be booking Hammamhane again on my next visit to Istanbul!

Glad you were okay, Dan B (review below) We saw your situation as we were checking out to be driven to the airport. I must say your injury looked a little concerning, but you were in absolutely good hands. The care and attention you were receiving from Hammamhane staff was exceptional, and as we stepped outside to get into our taxi, the medics arrived in their ambulance. Such prompt action by everyone involved.
From our perspective, it is the staff that make Hammamhane so inviting. Everyone at the front desk was so helpful, kind, and welcoming — in a completely natural way.
Breakfast was good, with a lot of variety alongside the traditional Turkish food that was nicely presented in compartments within a wooden tray. It was pleasant to sit outside to eat, on the terrace facing the colourful but quiet street within the arty district the hotel is situated in.

I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights and will definitely be back. My room was tastefully decorated with a full kitchen, and everything was very clean.
The staff is exceptional, and the breakfasts are gourmet and generous.
I highly recommend it.

Hamamhane is a special treat hidden in the heart of Istanbul. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. The room was superior and super cozy. We loved the breakfast and the overall vibe of the hotel. Never slept so peaceful in a buzzing city. Can totally recommend for anybody who wants to have a relaxing stay in a vibrant city. We loved it. Will definitely come back.

We are so very glad we booked this hotel, beginning, during and for our final night in beautiful Istanbul.
It felt so warm & welcoming to return here. A wonderful place to stay!
Set in a somewhat cosmopolitan area.
Providing easy access to all that Istanbul has to offer.
The rooms were well appointed, super clean & a delicious Turkish breakfast, to boot —, offering different baked goodies every day.
Terrific staff both friendly & informative — couldn’t be more helpful.
So sad to leave Turkiye but so grateful for the true hospitality that Hamanhane has to offer.

My third time here and would not hesitate to stay again next time I visit Turkiyre.
The rooms are very clean and spacious apartment style with all the facilities you could want. A fantastic location between Karakoy Cruise Terminal, Cihangar and the famous Istiklal Street. Loved walking around everywhere and discovering something new each day.
Extremely well run hotel by Bulent and his wonderful staff.

Family run property ; smiling and welcoming staff from A to Z. We stayed in a newly renovated studio. Spacious, well lit and bright. Washer/ dryer in room was a huge plus. Breakfast is lovely. Lovely quiet artistic neighbourhood 10 min walk to middle of Istiklal st. Staff extra accommodating. Excellent value for what you get. And the next door Cukurkuma is top notch.

Brilliant location, brilliant facilities and excellent experience.

Home comfort, perfect location in a quiet and hippy neighborhood, known to locals mostly. Easy to move around because it is in the middle of the main attractions. Great hospitality, and minimalist design yet cosy studios and apartments.

The staff here makes me feel like family. They are so proud of their hotel, and I don't blame them.
