Review of Golden Rock Beach 5*

I have to say that this is easily the worst hotel I have been to by a mile. If you ever want to go to Marmaris, then book a standard hotel with all the basics (air conditioner, breakfast etc) such as Forum residential. This hotel is definitely not 5 star, it is more like a 1 star at best. On arrival, we were made to wait for our room for more than 1 hour when in reality the room was ready from the outset, so there wasn't any need to delay us at reception for that amount of time. Secondly, the staff didn't give you any information about spa facilities, swimming pool timings, breakfast and lunch hours nor did they give us any warm welcome even though we were an all inclusive group of customers. We were overcharged by like £40 also on arrival which would be fine if we had a pleasant stay but it was the worst trip by far to any country I have visited and the hotel service appalling. The staff were rude at times and didn't care about anything we required (like a new towel or an extra blanket). Lastly the best point to last is, on our last day after speaking to guest relations and even the hotel manager, we thought our views would be heard and some reimbursement would be made in order to ensure we left on a positive note. The manager said that we should see him in the afternoon before our departure to the airport and even though his room was open and he knew what time we would be coming to see him, he listened to all the problems we encountered on our visit and made didn't have a care in the world. He intentionally stayed away from his office so he didn't meet us again. To conclude, if all of this isn't enough for you to choose a cheaper, more economical, cost saving hotel with much better service, then you will learn the tough way that you made the wrong choice in not listening to my review and not coming to this 0 rated hotel.
